I just loved this property in Rome. It was just simply charming. Perfect location to walk to all of the Rome hotspots.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice neighborhood, but far from the center. (20 minutes walk to termini)
We stayed 3 nights, but they didn't change the towels at all! We kept using wet towels for 3 days, as they were not drying because of the humidity.
Check in/out was easy.

Clean Rooms , friendly staff at check in , was waiting for me , had a couple of incidents where the cleaning guy wanted to bring the waters in the room and he didn’t knock he came in the room with his key and I was there inside . Another incident where another cleaning older man was mopping the front lobby and we had to get in to get our luggage to catch our train and he was yelling at us to wait outside till the floor dried up , we were saying that we couldn’t wait we had a train to catch and he kept yelling to stay outside , we still came through and got our luggage and left ! Unbelievable! Would not stay again .

An average place, but the listing is misleading. This is an apartment that has been turned into separate rooms (with bathroom). It is NOT a hotel. There is no staff on site, no concierge, no amenities (laundry, food, etc.) There is no cable TV, no iron, and the little espresso machine was broken in my room. It is also VERY noisy -- you can hear everyone coming in/out the apartment front door at all hours, and talking in hallways. The elevator is always getting stuck on upper floors. If you want to wing it alone, this is an acceptable place to stay. It was very clean.

Great accommodations! Traveled to Rome for our honeymoon in early October. Andrea from Maison Coquette met us at the property and checked us in. We were a bit early, but the room was ready amd they allowed us to check in early. Clean, large, and comfortable room with a nice small balcony. A/C worked great! No complaints, the only annoyance was the lock system. There were 3 keys; one for the room, one to enter the flat, and one for the street level exit. I think its a Rome thing, but we needed to use the key to *get out* of the byulding. Sometimes the lock was a bit temperamental but we got it! I was concerned about the safety of using keys to exit, as I'm in property management. Other than that, there is a great little bar and famrmacia downstairs. The Borguese Gardens were not far. They also cleaned the room and replaced bottled water in the fridge daily (no charge, which was a nice touch). It is in a quiet neighborhood, definitely not in the city center, but a reasonable walk from the Barbieri Metro stop. We walked to the Vatican and it took about an hour. Would recommend!

Great little find, was a lovely small hotel that was modern and fresh. No one on site but that was no issue, easy to get hold of for check in. Walked past it twice so look for the big brown doors next to cafe and pharmacy. Accommodation is on 3rd floor and lift was out 1 day, so stairs only. Windows very good so kept the noise to a minimum from street, but also quite street and AC worked. Hood curtains do kept the light out. Short walk to metro 10 mins and 30 min to get to main areas. Take comfy shoes as Rome is hard work on your feet. Wound stay again and recommend.

This is a very nice and simple B&B. Very clean and in a great location (behind the American Embassy). Only complaint is outside noise. In the front you hear the cars and the side the most annoying birds were outrageously loud in the middle of the night (hence the 4). But overall a nice place.

Nice room and service was great. My only complain is that the shower water pressure was very weak at times and hot water would run out very quickly(at least in our room, not sure if every room was like that). Location was very convenient and walking distance to many good dining options as well as metro. Overall pretty good

The unite was clean and reasonably priced. I just didn’t find the mattress that comfortable. Otherwise it is an ok stay. The location is not a walking distance to the train station but you can get there with the bus.

Amazing night stay in Rome!

We stayed at Maison Coquette for one night while in Rome. The rooms were quite spacious and very clean. Loved the decoration in the rooms and the overall feel. Davide was super helpful in coordinating check-in. He was very flexible with timing even at check-out allowing us to stay a little bit past the assigned check-out time. Definitely recommend for your stay in Rome!

The apartment was very cute and clean. We were expecting more of a 'hotel feel', but it was a great stay nonetheless. Massimo (the man that checked us in) was professional and very nice. Late check-in and a ride from the airport is a bit pricey and needs to be paid in cash, but it made everything seamless and easy! At night there is not much going on in this neighborhood, but it is walkable, quiet, and safe. The bathroom is big, which is a nice touch for a European hotel. I would stay here again.

The property is in an apartment block on the 3rd floor. The room was tastefully and modernly decorated with plenty of amenities supplied - kettle with tea/coffee and water provided daily which was a lovely touch in the hot Roman sun! There were toiletries in the bathroom and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard with fresh clean towels each day which was much appreciated. Davide was the ideal host, easy to get in touch with and gave us lots of recommendations on how to get to all of the sites. The room itself is modern and tastefully decorated. Only negative was the lack of plug sockets - we could find only one close to the door (the rest were non-standard plugs for shavers) which was slightly inconvenient - bring an extension lead if staying here. The lift was also quite old and small so perhaps not suitable for everyone. Overall would absolutely recommend staying here - it suited us perfectly for our 4 day stay! Also - there is air con which was a gift!

I had a wonderful time staying at Madison Croquette. It is in a great location for hitting all the tourist attractions, food, and transportation. I was traveling alone and felt safe and secure staying here. The managers are awesome! I will say, it is a little difficult to find. It is located on the third floor next to Foodisfaction.

Maison Coquette was a lovely place. The room was very clean and well maintained. Davide was really friendly and super helpful, he gave us a map and showed us how to get to the main tourist attractions and using public transport. It is a little far out of the city centre, but it is easily walkable in 15-20mins. Plus you do not need to be near the centre to see everything. It is a quiet location though with restaurants, cafes and supermarkets nearby.

Overall we had a great stay. There are always little things that could be better but they are minor and wouldn't stop us going back. Fantastic location but at times noisy especially traffic noise until early hours. We also heard people checking in and out but that was due to room location. The bed was firm which isn't a negative but could have been a little softer for our personal preference. Great little touches such as tea, biscuits and water. Shower was spot on and room very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

The hotel was great and the host Davide was much more than accommodating. We booked the triple room so we could have separate beds. I chose the daybed and the mattress was very uncomfortable. Other than this everything was exactly as promised. Spacious room, balcony, refrig, fantastic bathroom and shower. Very clean!! Great little neighborhood restaurants and bars. Great value for the price.

The owners were great and had wonderful recommendations. They provided lots of guidance on how to get to all of the sites. The location in the city was great for getting everywhere. A lovely welcome from a very helpful Davide. Fabulous room - very clean and modern. Great shower. Air conditioning. Fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Biscuits and sweets are a nice touch. Only downside was the view of an enclosed courtyard. The property is about 15 minutes walk from Barberini Metro. I downloaded the myCicero app to get around by bus/metro. A lovely 3 night break. Would recommend.

Spacious and great location.

Our stay was amazing! Rome was the second stop in our honeymoon and this was the perfect hotel. Located very close to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish steps, just a short walk. The hotel is not located right in the middle of all the touristy stuff but yet close enough! We had to check in late due to our flight time but they were so accommodating and communicative! The room itself was very spacious (especially for Europe). A lot of great restaurants close by!

Really pretty rooms in a great location close to Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps and a convenient metro station.
Owners Davide and Stephania are lovely and really helpful, kindly marking up a map with all directions we requested and advising on best way to travel to all the places we wanted to visit.
Small amount of traffic noise during peak times despite the good window double glazing, but suspect that's unavoidable in Rome where cars engage in a regular tootoff :)

Location was perfect for seeing all the sites. There is a bit of a walk but you got used to it and it feels like home. The hosts are so lovely and accommodating. We would highly recommend. Very close to Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and if you’re up for it - the colosseum.

The room itself was decorated so nicely and made you feel at home. No breakfast offered but lots of places nearby to grab an espresso and pastry for very reasonable prices. The location has better priced food nearby- as you get closer to the colosseum prices almost double so keep it in mind as you plan your route.

This is a very nice hotel near the U.S. Embassy. It is a bit away from the main tourist destinations but easily accessible via Uber or a little bit of walking.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room was very nice, clean and charming. This is a great spot and I would recommend it.

It is good for couples whom don’t mind a walk, as it is only 20 mins to the Spanish steps and beyond is everything else.

I had such a bad experience at the hotel. The room is up on the 3rd floor there is no one to greet you unless you call them to come and bring you to the room. There is no privacy your room exits to a small hallway, at the end of the hallway the administrator has his small desk. You pretty much exit from the room and bump into the administrator’s working place. The pics on Expedia don’t match at all what is in reality. I tried to reason with the guest house staff and ask for the refund and he refuses to speak in English to me, whereas at my arrival he was understanding me and was speaking in English to me. Guests run away this is a tourists trap and you are waisting your money.

Just got back from Europe on a grad/birthday celebration. My daughter and I selected this venue in part for the distance to everything, and the reviews by previous guest. We couldn't have been more pleased. We didn't get the large room advertised but the one we got was just as charming. In suite fireplace, nice size room with French doors and balcony. The owners were the best. We ran into them by chance when we arrived. And there's nothing else you can say about the but \"absolutely charming\". They help you from the time you step in the door with maps and exact directions to the trains, buses, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps which are both within walking distance. Neighborhood restaurants .even night clubs. They left out nothing. Rooms are clean with a nice touch of homecoming. Clean. While it not a four star hotel with all the bells and whistles it doesn't need it. If that's what you're looking for then it's not the place for you. But if you want to explore Rome you can walk to everything from here. The Coliseum, pantheon, right around the corner from the American Embasy which is beautiful btw. We only took an Uber to and from the airport and walked everywhere we went. We loved our stay and shared it with our friends and family for when they go. We will be coming back. Absolutely!!!!!!!!
