The facilities where in clean and working condition, and what a reasonable person would expect from most modern motel/roadhouse accommodation. Check in staff were good, and cleaning staff worked quickly and efficiently.

Great for the price and location, but you get what you pay for. Bed was comfortable, place was clean and functional and checkin was simple. Free parking. Shower was not great and place is dated. Couldn’t sit on the couch, it was crap.

A great location for family when your child is enrolled at Monash. A little dated around the edges with upkeep likely needed, especially in the garden. But had all that we needed. I was slightly surprised that we didn't receive some sort of compensation for having no power for 18 hours - no fridge, no lights, no electricity. Now, I understand it was an act of God and the whole city was out of power, but even a suggestion for some sort of compensation would have been appreciated.

Great location. Was clean. Room was quite cold and there was a space around door letting breeze in. But that aside, I would stay again. It was close and convenient to the event we went to. Check in was easy. The bathroom could do with a heat light and some foam doorway strips. But it was clean, comfortable bed and easy. Upstairs a bit hard to take luggage.

Do not recommend to anyone, just sleep in your car

Very dirty, old run-down establishment with a desperate need of a high level sanitation unit.

Rooms are small and dirty, lumps of grey dust around the bedside table legs.

Urine drops on the floor in front of the toilet prove that either no-one leaned the bathroom or someone used the bathroom before we did.

Bathroom door is paper thin and bowed from water/steam absorption.

The shower gives you the option of 3rd degree burns or hypothermia.

Cups provided for hot drinks have not been washed instead just rinsed out.

Pillows are old, flat and lumpy.

Spent the night in full set of pj's plus a cardigan just to keep warm overnight, even with the heater going all night long.

Do not recommend to anyone, just sleep in your car, it's cleaner.

Checking in was painful as it involved using a tablet that wasn't responding. After a 9 hour drive it was not appreciated. Luckily the lady was very accommodating and pleasant and helped me to the room which uses a pin code rather than key.
Double glazed windows kept the noise out and warmth in.

Not enough plates and bowls for our family of 5 so had to go and ask for additional. (only 3 plates and 2 bowls!!)
Paid in full before arriving but on arrival they then asked me to pay a $200 bond which was NOT communicated to use beforehand.
To get to our apartment we had to move all the bins from the driveway as they were blocking us!

This place was apparently built in 1980 and it has not been updated since. It is dirty, dusty and horrid. I am sure the rooms are rented by the hour. The bed was terrible and i think i might need a high pressure hose and a flamethrower to remove the bugs that are now on my body.

An out-dated motel with haphazard management. When we entered our room (3:00pm) the bed was pulled out from the wall and there were tools everywhere. The bedside light wasn't working and they were obviously in the act of fixing it, but had run our of parts and left to get more. Another switch in the room also wasn't working with \"out of order\" on it.

The pillows were terrible. Either very flat, very hard, or a moulded shape. A really bad sleep for all of us because of it.

We prepaid but they demanded my credit card and booked it for $100 which they first said wouldn't be charged and then said it would be refunded. Will be watching my account.

Will not stay there again.

Works for an overnight work stay but definitely not a 'holiday' place to stay.
Room clean, new bathroom but outdated decor in the rest of the room.
Went to make a cuppa only to find ants had found the sugar before I did - probably needs a spray.
No flyscreens on my windows so had to close them at dusk/night

Ok for a one night stay

We just had to leave our house for 1 night due to getting our floors sanded and polished. We booked a family room at the Glen Inn. The room was spacious, the bathroom was nice, and the people at check-in were nice too. However the kitchen area in the room is badly in need of an update!
All up, ok, but would probably choose elsewhere if I had to do it again. At $180/night it wasn't really worth it.

This was our 2nd stay at the Glenn Inn within two weeks. This time we stayed in the family room. This is a spacious room with a double & three single beds incorporating a kitchen/lounge. The bathroom was pleasant and bright showing signs that it may have been updated not long ago. The main area needs updating. There are lights without globes, light switches with labels saying \" Do not Use\", a powerpoint saying the same thing. Generally the beds were OK, pillows lumpy and were only just passable.

There are two family units situated upstairs looking down on the car park. The first night, no neighbours, not so the second night. A bunch of blokes arriving after midnight showing how thin the walls are with a lot of noise both inside and out of the other unit until at least 3:30am, if not later - not restful that night. We were not aware of any night staff available to call about party going neighbours. The office was closed on the two occasions I called in, so it appears to only be occasionally manned.

We arrived at the hotel at about 2.30pm and the rooms were still being cleaned. When we finally got in I was very tired so took of my shoes and went to sit on the bed but while I stood near the bed my socks got soaking wet from the carpet. I then lay on the bed and it sagged in the middle. When I looked under the bed the centre leg/roller was bent and broken. I called the manager and he came and explained that they had just cleaned the room so that is why the carpet was wet. Then I showed him the bed and he said he would fix it after we left the next day and then told us that we only get what we pay for and so because we only paid for a basic room what did we expect. I was very tempted to pack up and leave but I had already paid for the room and because it was only for one night we stayed but swore we would never consider staying there ever again and would tell everyone we know about it. The rest of our weekend was great.

Room was clean and tidy and front office staff very friendly and helpful. However they forgot to clean our room on one day and the other three days cleaning was very average. We also ran out of toilet paper and had to ask for more. They advised it was because they had new cleaners and they did offer us a free breakfast to compensate. So they did try, but I would likely not stay again. There was chipping of the paint over the bed and two light blankets try to keep us warm - we had the heater running almost continuously overnight.
