Spotless, it was contactless but very easy to get into the inn and our room, very beautiful historic inn, room was amazing-huge sitting area, wonderful kitchen area, bed was a 4 postter bed that was huge and had 2 steps to get into it, beautiful antique furniture, private bathroom was very large, clean, and perfect. The location of the Inn was right on the main aquare with shops and restaurants all around. Could walk to everything. The parking was easy to find, right behind the Inn. It was a perfect stay in a beautiful, historic Inn!

Very convenient location. The included parking is a huge bonus for Gettysburg. Excellent communication with easy check in instructions. My only comment is regarding the noise. We stayed on the first floor room, just on the main circle of the town. It was VERY loud. It's not the fault of the Inn, but they might want to consider some if some soundproofing would help the situation. In their defense, it was a very busy weekend in town, but I think most weekends tend to be pretty busy. Other than that, it is a nice and comfortable place.

We stayed in one of the townhouses for a couple of days. Its located in the center of Gettysburg on the traffic circle. Its a short walk to any where you might want to go except for the battlefield park. The house gave you a feel of the times. Decor and how it is set up. Great touch on the washer and dryer. Only two things I wasn't a fan on was one of the beds wiggled as you got on and off of it and was afraid it would fall. But it didnt, just made me nervous. But two the parking was a challenge. They have 5 spots to use but two of them are in a parking garage. The first night we didnt get lucky on parking behind the building. We had to park in the garage. Its a short walk but you have to take all your luggage through the streets and including that traffic circle to get there. And that traffic circle was busy as ever. Second night we got lucky and got a spot behind the building for an easy leave in the morning.

Our three night stay at the Inn at Lincoln Square was excellent. The suite was spacious, clean, and decorated in a historic fashion. The communication with the owners regarding access to the property and parking was excellent. The Inn is located in the center of the historic district with numerous restaurants, shops, and entertainment within walking district. The battlefield and museum is a short drive away. I highly recommend this inn and will return if visiting the area again.

What a cool place to stay, rich with history and right in the middle of town. There are lots of places to walk to. The bed was So comfortable, although i did switch out the pillows- glad they were available! It was a bit noisy with the motorcycles going by town, but it got very quiet after nine or so. I would advise to put the address of the property and not the alley. The parking behind the inn is tight. I felt very safe inside and out. I would stay there again.

Very high up, very kind guests, very similar to a New York City loft apartment on the inside of Annie’s room. I enjoyed the large bed that sleeps 6, as I am only 1. I enjoyed the shower, the tiny furnishings outside of the tiny door located in the back end of the bathroom, and the easy to use keypad to get into and out of my room and the building. and of course the Inn is conveniently located in the town square where there are many historical book shops, stores, and art galas. a special thank you to the hosts for allowing the public to experience this beautiful building as it has now been well over a hundred years since the building was built and as it has had many historical artifacts donated for all to see. What a beautiful time I had and what a wonderful way for any future guest to spend their time as well.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of town, very walkable, with many options for dining, shopping, or just bar hopping. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the WiFi worked great. BUT...it is a 200 yo house, so if you're expecting modern conveniences, you will be disappointed. The beds and bath are on the upper floor, and those steps are narrow and treacherous. The bathroom is so teeny-tiny; my shoulders touched both walls as I tried to use the sink to brush my teeth. And we visited during a period of sub-zero temps - the heating system was unable to keep pace.

The location of this property is crucial to its appeal. It's located right on the historic square in Gettysburg. An intrepid hiker can park once and visit much the historic city and even the battlefield. The property itself is seemingly best suited to an extended stay. We were just on an overnighter, so the kitchen area and the rather large living room space were wasted on us. It has the look of an apartment. It is an historic property. That means old. The mattress was ok, but the canopied bed was a little creaky. The shower was ok, but somewhat dated. The location was great, and a Civil War fan will be quite satisfied.

A charming 200 year old property in the center public square of Gettysburg. There is a little peeling wallpaper and chipped paint but it doesn't detract from the period charm. Comfortable bed and complete, tucked away kitchen facilities. There was a loud concert outside our window for several hours but it stopped at 9pm so it didn't affect our sleep.

The hotel is very quaint! It was very clean and well kept. It did advertise air conditioning, but we only had a small window unit and a table fan that was put in the sleeping area. The Inn did not disappoint, it was clean, location was great (right at the roundabout), communication for check in and parking etc was clear and concise. I had an excellent experience, but it was not what I expected. Perhaps if I had read the description and studied the photos I would not have been surprised. I am writing these notes as a recommendation for people not looking for a modern, upscale hotel, but for a hotel that has a connection with historic Gettysburg. First, location, right at the central square (circle) of Gettysburg, and less than a mile walk to the National Cemetery. In the afternoon and evening the square is bustling (noisy), and was audible in my room. It was not a problem for me, but might be for the quiet-conscious. Second, the building is old, not per se \"preserved\", but certainly historically connected -- it is well maintained (bathroom, etc), but the stairway is (charmingly) wonky. My room was in the attic/garret - plenty of space, original floor, roof framing, toilet/shower/kitchen area set in loft-style. The weather was hot (low 90s), and the room was kept comfortable with noisy a/c, which was not needed once the sun went down and the weather cooled. If you want to visit Gettysburg and not be anesthetized by the experience of a standard/branded hotel (there are plenty in the area), this is perfect.

200 year old property, right in the center of Gettysburg. Well maintained for its age, but it does show its age. If you are a light sleeper, this might not be the location for you as it is situated on the main traffic circle in town, but if you are accustomed to traffic and street noise, you’ll be fine. Parking is not guaranteed to be close to your room as there are 5 rooms and only 3 spots on the property, the other two are on the other side of the town square. There is no staff on site, all communication, check in, etc are done via text messages. Our room in the attic was set up like an efficiency apartment, so we had access to cooking, fridge, etc, was well equipped with the basics. Shops and restaurants were all within walking distance, Gettysburg Battlefield is a very short drive

It’s a beautiful old Civil War era home with amazing history, but be careful…The location is literally in the heart of Gettysburg, which is great. What’s not great is the noise level. Every car, semi, motorcycle etc coming into town goes through the roundabout right outside the front door/windows. And you can literally hear the people talking on the street…I mean word for word.
Additionally, there’s a need for some DEEP cleaning…throw rugs made my socks brown. A removed a dirty/stained tablecloth to clean the dirty table before we could eat on it. The vanity lights in the bathroom didn’t work, none of the blinds had the rod to open/close them, there are cracks in the ceiling/walls. I know it’s old, but it’s time to put some money back into this old house. I will say the bed was decent - not today’s 3 &4 star hotel quality but definitely a beautiful antique. Best wishes to the owners. We tried something different on our travels but should we return to the area, this will not be our “go to”.

Location was good but the building was super old which is fine but one bathroom for seven people was a little tough. Parking was interesting only 3 tight spots behind the building the others were really close but in a garage. We enjoyed our stay. Good family time.

We stayed in one of the most historical areas of Gettysburg, next to the building where Abraham Lincoln finished the Gettysburg Address. We prefer the Eva Danner towns house over the Sarah Danner townhouse, where we stayed last year. The layout is easier to navigate and more comfortable beds. I would stay here again, next time we visit the area.

This townhouse was a home away from home. The location incredible to be able to walk out the front door, and a few steps into the square. We slept as comfortable as if we were in our own house. The hosts were kind and accommodating. The history of the building, along with the location, added to the feel of the history of the Civil War. The entire experience gave us new appreciation for the battle that our forefathers fought as we could feel their deep sorrow and their love for country. The visit to the battlefield brought about a spirit that you can only experience firsthand and has no words to do it justice. This town house, with its location, conjured emotions of patriotic love of country and love for our fellow brothers and sisters.
