Clean room , great staff, this winter some renovations so no breakfast or vending machines but there is a Perkins right in the parking lot, which is absolutely amazing and there is another hotel kind of catty corner which you can go in and get any snacks or anything that you need. The staff here was absolutely amazing. It was a great little place to just get away clear your head. It was quiet and it was really cute. Very, very close to town like not even three minutes up the road and so much stuff to do nearby I happen to notice. I was only in town for like three days for a doctor visit but it was a really cute little place and I’m a big Perkins fan so I was very happy to have an excuse to go get a piece of pie anyways everybody enjoy your stay.

Staff, pool, maids slam the doors and don’t leave clean towels after you put out dirty towels. Pool was cold and dirty. No breakfast as advertised. The gym was pathetic and there was no clean towels or cups for water. Trash was overflowing outside of the entrances. Had to tell staff about the trash. The whole place smelled like weed. People smoking crack in their cars in the parking lot.

There's no breakfast, the pool filter wasn't running so there was hair and dirt all over, the roof was leaking out something because it smelled moldy/musty and had water all over the roof. Aside from that everything else was to be expected of a $50/night hotel. It seems like they tried updating it but checked out and it looks bad. The laminate flooring could look very nice but it doesn't, there's a giant hole in the wall in the reception area, paint peeling, holes and cracks in the walls of our room so I can only imagine the others. Had a decent size mini fridge and noise wasn't an issue. If you need a weekend place and want to save some money this isn't bad for the price, just don't expect any amenities.

First the staff checked me into the wrong room. He didn't read my first name with my last name & didn't catch it until i was signing the ipad. I ended up having my family send me the $$ to correct his error. Second, no hot tub & i wouldn't let my worst enemy in the tetanus room they call a pool. No breakfast & no staff at the desk to ask about it. I even tried asking the 1 cleaning lady & she didn't look up from her phone. There was no coffee or cups in either room of ours. There was dog poop & vomit at our entrance. The whole place smelled of cigarettes & there were dog's barking all day.1 guy had 2 pitbulls & only the little girl dog was on a leash. The boy dog ran right up me & scared me toto death!! We didn't know people lived there!! It was 1 step up from a homeless shelter because we actually paid to be there. Wouldn't ever recommend anyone ever going there.

I called to make sure we had a pet friendly room on first gloor. When we got there, we had a room on second floor. I went to front desk and explained i called beforehand and if we could have first floor. The chsnge was made but we couldn't regulate heater so went down to desk. He explsined to use the wall regulator not the actual heater, which could have been explained when checking in. Then i asked about breakfast times. Was told they dont do breakfast. Then why is it advertised?. The room had a disengaged fire alarm and the security latch was busted off. We had no cups so i went back down to lobby. When the desk attendant saw me he adked \" What now?\" Rudely. I wasnt even going to bother him at his paid job as i was going to the coffee bar area where they actually had cups. Also the vending machi e ripped us off. This is a pet friendly hotel and there was so much dog poop not cleaned up it was gross. I clean up after my pets, but whoever doesn't, the hotel should clean up for the guests. There was still alot of snow and the side walk into the hitel still had ice on in. Guess they don't care if someone slips? I never felt so unwelcome at a place that i paid for. Ironically, we had stay there before when it was Baymont and it was a good experience which is why we returned. After this experience, I would advice everyone to avoid this place.

even though i used my cash back from expedia and got my room free, the over abundance of recreational smoking smell in the hotel. and room smelled like cigarettes, the bed smells as well of cigarettes and i do not smoke. there was no notification of not having breakfast as advertised . when went to check out no one was at front desk to let them know. you can tell they are trying to remodel and upgrade. would have given more stars if it wasn’t for the smoke smelling issue.

When we booked and paid for our room we booked a King sized bed. They called us while on the road and confirmed with us we would in fact be there that night. Then when we arrived it was the wrong room. We hate queen sized beds as I am 6'4\". We asked for some form of refund or discount for the issue, and they brushed us off.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The room, however, had a broken security lock; the AC rattled like a bunch of tin cans; and our room had an adjoining door that allowed every sound through-we could hear the people next door snoring, talking, and playing music. Also, outside doors were unlocked all night long. If we had not gotten this room at a discount, I would have been livid.

Staff was amazing, I'd hire them all in a heartbeat. If you don't mind killing a roach or two per night, this is a great affordable option. Keep your bags zipped up so they don’t go home with you and all should be good. We killed on average, one per night. Sleep with the lights on to keep them at bay. My last piece of advise would be to keep the TV on all day and night to provide a warm place for the roaches to stay to keep them away from your bed and luggage.

Oh, I forgot, move and fluff your pillows when you first enter. That'll scatter the ones hidden underneath. To our knowledge, they never came back during the stay.

A/c did not work well, pool was dirty, some of the towels had stains, comforter was burned and melted, shower had low pressure, and there was pubic hair left in the tub from previous stay. There is a 100 dollar deposit upon check in and was told we would get it back by noon.

Cockroach siting

Before checking in, I needed to use the restroom outside of the indoor pool. The toilet paper dispenser was broken, the hand dryer barely worked and no paper towels to dry my hands. Check in went smoothly but we were only picking up our key. Upon return to actually enter the room at 12:30am, I made it a few steps into the room when my husband turned on the lights. Immediately I saw a bug on the wall. Closer inspection, it was indeed a German cockroach and it skittered behind the headboard. We left. Requested a cancellation and refund. Still haven’t received a cancellation confirmation email. The charge for the room is still pending in our credit card - here is to hoping for the best

This property has potential. Take this review with a grain of salt. The property was clearly undergoing renovations when we stayed, so I gave benefit of the doubt to small things I noticed that needed repaired. The pool felt amazing, the staff was great. Good hotel location but could use some improvement

Upon getting into the room, we found bugs in the window seal and in the bathroom, when we went and told the man at the counter, (he had a French accent) he did explain to us that the bugs were native to Pennsylvania, they stayed in or around Ash trees in warm months but came inside during the cold months. For whatever reason when the maid service would come in, we would get three washcloths and towels, even though there was four of us in the room. We would just go down to the front desk and ask for more. Breakfast consisted of waffles you could make, one flavor of yogurt, a few pieces of fruit and some danishes. The area was safe at night, we never felt like we or our car were in danger, especially at night. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing to be done in the immediate area.

The Baymont by Wyndham in Gatlinburg, TN and Kentucky spoiled us because there you would get a full breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, waffles and other stuff. Not in Gettysburg, although there was adequate room.

All in all, it was a great getaway, we had fun and made good memories.

But there is room for improvement.

This was not a very pleasant stay. First of all, I accidentally got double booked, since the first time I made reservations with Expedia, I was told it didn't go thru, so I booked again, shortening my reservation from Friday thru Sunday to Friday, Saturday, leaving Sunday AM. The man at the front desk really wasn't very helpful, telling me he couldn't do anything about the double booking, I would have to deal with Expedia. Of course on a Friday evening, I got no help from Expedia. When I returned home, between Expedia and the hotel, I was charged and extra $103.60 for the booking on Friday, rather than the $62.30 I would have been charged for the third night if we had stayed. In the meantime, the elevator quit working-now I know it is only a two story building, and usually this would be no problem, but for me it was as I am having issues with my left foot tendons. Breakfast was unacceptable, with powdered eggs, cheap sausage, and bad coffee. I have always been pleased with Wyndham properties before, but I will think twice before booking one again.

While the staff was amazing and tended to our every need, the facility was in disrepair poorly maintained. The carpets were stained and discolored, the room was musty and the fan to the air conditioning unit would only stay on while the temperature stayed above 65°. So no the mustiness lingered.
The bathtub floor was tapered in such a way that it was difficult to stand in it.
The pool was grimy with chipped paint and black flecks and slime floating in the water.

The complementary breakfast was varied and well kept. Choices were: scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, Belgian waffles, assorted pastries, cold cereal, fruit, juices, and yogurts. The breakfast dining room was bright and well kept.

This prop is listed on Expedia as 8.7. There is no way this property deserves an 8.7. This places needs a major overhaul. Odd smell, molding coming off, plaster in the pool is coming off.the room was supposed to have two queen beds, i believe they were fulls. For
$180, i expected more. Very disappointing for Expedia to have this listened as 8.7.

Although conveniently close to downtown Gettysburg without being in the heart of the city, this place was horrible. It was filthy and had bugs.
As soon as we checked in, we had to switch rooms because there were stink bugs everywhere, the in-room sink was leaking on the carpet, causing mold, and we found dried, crusty blood on one of the sheets.
The second room, besides finding more stinkbugs, appeared slightly better until our last night there. My wife was in bed and rolled over to find a cockroach beside her. We informed the front desk staff member and he played it off that they knew about it, and were spraying but it was hard to get rid of them because they were crawling through the vents.
We demanded a refund to which they offered for our last night, but only if we left. We lived three hours away and had prepaid for a tour later that night, so we couldn't just leave. While arguing with the staff member after finding the roach, he told my cousin to be quiet and denied originally telling us they knew about the bugs.
After he left our room, we began checking for more bugs, fearing we would take them home with us. I suggested we check behind picture frames because I've seen on shows like hoarders that they tend to gather behind them. Upon doing so, two opened suboxone wrappers fell out. Upon giving him this, he was more concerned as to why we were looking behind the picture frames.
We paid over $460 for three nights here and had the worst hotel experience ever!

Elevator was broken so we had to truck everything for a family of 7 with 4 small children up the stairs. The toilet seat was broken so it pinched your skin every time you went to the bathroom. The toilet only flushed every 6 times you pushed the handle down. Not something I expected from a place that charged me $250/night

We come to Gettysburg every year to do the NPS Program. Fun! Although a lot was good with the Baymont, we did not have a toilet paper dispenser, desk or chair in the room, no closet or any place to hang clothing, no coffee maker in the room. We were told that the room we had was the ONLY room like that because it is for a short, quick in and out, one night stay. But we were staying 3 nights! and made the reservations in June. We thought it was quite weird. But we made the best of it.
