This hotel was easy to find. The main entrance for check in is well marked, and our apartment was right next door. The room was basic but clean. All we needed. The little balcony is cute, but a little hard to access. More aesthetically pleasing than functional. The location was close to Trevi and the Spanish Steps. Everything we needed to get to was walkable. On check-out day, they kept our luggage until we needed to catch our train, so we could continue to explore the city without baggage. Would recommend this place.

Amazing experience, check in was a breeze, exquisite location and has a nice lift, the room was also amazing and very big for a family of 4 we had plenty of space and bedding options, the bathroom is also big and the staff is also very friendly! Very clean place and just 5 mins walk to fontana di trevi via a very nice street filled with many restaurants.

Perfect location!

The hotel was perfectly located, just minutes away from the Trevi Fountain and so many other gems. I loved the hallway to get to our room. The room itself was very spacious. The shower was very small (there was no way I could shave in that space) although the rest of the bathroom was big. The bed was way too hard for my taste and found that my hips ached when I woke up. Still, it was only for two nights, so it was fine.

Our stay at Domus Julia was great. The rooms were large and very comfortable. We were a group of 5 with two triple rooms. We had two in one room and three in the other. We were very impressed with the spacious rooms and bathroom. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The location was excellent as all the major sites were walkable and the subway was conveniently located nearby. Our only complaint was that in one of our rooms the hot water was intermittent in the shower. It would get hot and then go cold after about 30 seconds, then go back to hot. I did not have a chance to let the hotel know, so perhaps it could have easily been fixed. The other bathroom did not have any issues with the hot water in the shower. Another note, you will want to bring your own soap. There was a dispenser in the shower that said shampoo, but that was it.

This hotel was clean. But the building is old and the lobby is separate from the rooms. The phone in the room did not work, the hallway lights only worked on a timer and was always dark, the internet was choppy at best. Every time I had a question I had to walk over to the next building to talk to someone who worked there, the concierge was not 24 Hrs. Being from the US I expected better accommodations. I'm not sure if I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed for 3 nights. After the first night we were told we needed to change rooms to accommodate other guests. Used their laundry service to do one load of laundry and bill was $50+ and they did not even dry the clothes. They put a drying rack in the room and turned up the heat in the room.

Cute and convenient room

This hotel was great. We had everything we needed, the street itself was charming and in a really convenient area. We walked to all of the Rome highlights and never felt like we needed to taxi/Uber. Lots of restaurants nearby. There was only a tiny tv in the room, but we didn’t even need it. The room itself was comfortable, clean and charming.

Located on a narrow dark street, near Trevi Fountain and Barberini metro. We had 3 night stay. Quiet first 2 nights but 3rd night there was an extremely loud private party up the street that kept us awake till 1 am and hotel said they could do nothing about it. Paolo was very helpful with directions and speaks English. High price for an average room. Would not recommend or stay in future.

The room is good sized, and the bed is comfortable. It is located near a whole bunch of major tourist attractions, so there are no needs for Taxis, or carriages.
It is a little strange to get into this area. There is a secret doorway next to the main hotel entrance. So you have to ring a bell to let them know you need access.
Otherwise, it is all good :)

We were put up in the guest house across the road from the hotel. Large flat with bedroom, sofa bed, kitchen, laundry, bathroom which was wonderful however the wifi barely worked and it was very noisy (roadworks from 5 am, garbage collection early in the AM, and people partying until about 1am across the road on Saturday night). The flat itself was great. I would request to stay in the hotel itself to have decent wifi and a quieter room.

Well-located, a bit hard to find, nice staff,food!

Not the quietest, but not that bad either. Breakfast was a good asssortment of food for 7 EU each. Bed comfy, room clean. Laundry down the street for 10 EU per load for you to wash & dry yourself. Lots of nearby mini stores, restaurants. I recommend the City Sightseeing hop on hop off bus over the Viator Omnia Rome Pass bus because it has much more frequent stops, shorter waits at the bus stop, & probably less obnoxious music, but that's a different story. Staff was very nice. Elevator appreciated. Internet was iffy for my Samsung (phone kept thinking it was open but it was WPA2), but was fine with my huz 's Motorola. Had AC, safe dep box, TV, small frig. Tiny shower.

The outside and courtyard of the building aren’t too nice but everything changes once you walk into the B&B. Our room was huge! Everything was so comfortable and we had a great view of the museum. Mirko was incredible! He was so helpful and nice to us. My only complaint is that the lock on the outside gate was incredibly hard for us to unlock which was stressful at night because the streets of Naples at night don’t feel very safe. But overall a good experience!

The owners we're very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be using this hotel again on our next visit to Rome. The shuttle service they offer from the airport was excellent. The location is perfectly situated for walks to Spanish steps, the fountains and the coliseum / forum / old quarter.

Actually an old house converted into a hotel.
Room was small for a double bed but it had a balcony looking out an an alley.
there was an elevator, nice for us because we have difficulty walking and climbing stairs.
Breakfast was not as good as the Hampton Inn e.g.
Staff was helpful on arrival. Explained our location and recommended eating places.

Great location, very nice reception staff.

Would stay again if visiting Rome. Great room, comfy bed and great setup. Aircon worked really well and shower had great pressure. Walls are a bit thin and there were some noisy neighbors on our first night but that's not the hotels fault. Overall really happy and highly recommended.

The hotel per se was okay, nice bed and the room even had a balcony. However, client service was absolutely awful. The bellboy broke my luggage when he brought it up to my room and I went to the hotel to try and see what could be done about it and they basically said it was my fault, that my bag was defective and that I probably broke it before we arrived. When I made my case, they told that to get compensation they needed to evaluate if my bag was real and if it was then they would make the bellboy buy me a new one (which goes for 150 euros, the cheapest one). The poor guy just about had a breakdown, the manager wouldn't look me in the eyes and I just had it. I told them to forget it and to get me something to pull it with, which they did eventually, but overall it was a bad experience.

After a long day of traveling and finding our way to the hotel since the metro was down, we were greeted by the sweetest desk clerk! He told us to relax and he had everything covered. He showed us our room, gave us a map, and showed us the nearest tourist sites. After check out, he offered for us to leave our luggage until closer to time of our flight. Totally recommend Domus Julia!

Great Location and Service at an Affordable Price

We came into Rome in the evening and left at the crack of dawn so we didn't spend much time in the room. That being said, our experience at the Domus Julia was pleasant. I really only look for two things in a hotel in a place like Rome: Location & Cleanliness. I don't plan to spend much time in the room because there are so many things to see and do so things like view, TV, room service, luxury linens, etc don't really matter to me.

The hotel staff was very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was great. It was a 15 minute walk from the train station (with luggage in tow) and only three blocks from the Trevi Fountain. That also puts it very close to the Via del Corso, the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona, the Spanish Stairs, and more. If you stay close to the train station you're likely to get a great rate but the walk into the city center is a brute. If you stay in the city center you'll pay a hefty premium. This area is a great compromise. Affordable rates and reasonably close to all the action.

The one thing I would mention as a negative is that the exhaust fans in the bathrooms are very loud. I thought ours was just malfunctioning but I went into our friends' room and theirs was loud too. It's a somewhat minor detail though. Overall our experience was everything we expected plus some sprinkles on top for service.

The location is ideal and we were able to leave our cases at the hotel once we'd checked out but they are my only positives unfortunately.

Our room was clean up to eye level but if you looked up there was very thick dust on the tiles. You could hear the drains throughout the night. The toilet was constantly flushing so we could hear that too. Wifi is not included in the booking which is very unusual in this day and age.

A Convenient Place to Stay in Rome

We stayed three nights in the Domus Julia. All in all, we were pleased with this hotel for our stay in Rome and the picture as advertised looked exactly like our room. It was classic in style with huge wooden beams that made up the ceiling and for the most part we were happy with the room, location and staff.

The hotel was very close to Fontana di trevi which we loved! Close to the metro as well and other restaurants and little shops. There's a pharmacy nearby in case u forgot some toiletries at home. Free wifi included. Breakfast cost 8-9 euros per person each morning. We never ate there, we wanted to try the little cafes nearby. The room was clean, tv and refrigerator included and AC! however, the bed was so hard it made my back hurt a lot each morning.

Stayed here for one night. It was adequate for our needs, and is a fantastic location. Room could have been cleaner - we had gone for, I think, a superior room. There was hair on the towels (not our hair) and the shower seemed to have some mildew or mould problems. Also, there was a shoe bag left from a previous guest (it looked used). Wifi code has to be entered every so often, as it stops working - even if you have asked it to 'remember me'. Left luggage was put in an open corridor, which wasn't secure. It was fine for a single night in Rome, and not bad for the price. The sweets in the room were a nice touch.

Aa budget place but good value for the money

Domus Julia is a residence. I didn't really know what that meant but it means that you are in an apartment like setting with a main room and then three locked bedrooms off of it. It probably isn't much different then having a room in a hallway like a hotel but it somehow feels less private and more like a hostel. It is definitely a budget hotel so don't expect nice linens or furniture but the bed was comfortable, it was clean and secure. Unfortunately, like a lot of things in rome is mid-way down a hill so those with mobility issues may have trouble getting to and from it. Metro is about a fifteen minute walk. Parking is about a ten minute taxi ride away. Ask for room 11 - it is very large.

Domus está em uma ótima localização em Roma porém o quanto é velho a geladeira não funciona, o telefone não funciona o ar condicionado não funciona e a manutenção seria apenas no dia seguinte……sem café da manhã
Existe na mesma rua hotéis melhores com as taxas menores. Não recomendo

テルミニ駅から2駅のバルベリーニ駅が最寄駅、トレヴィの泉まで徒歩5分と最高の立地。古いアパートを宿泊施設として利用している様子。設備は古いが趣があり、泊まるだけなら十分。スタッフの説明も丁寧で、チェックアウト後の観光中にスーツケースを預かってもらえた。コンセントが少ないので複数接続できる延長コードなどが必要。

Good old-school classic Rome hotel in a great location close to sights like Trevi, Pantheon, Spanish steps etc. Room was spacious in a classic-style - which we loved - but still in good condition. Hotel is near to Barberini-metro stop which was convenient. Air condition worked well. Beds were comfortable. Helpful lobby-staff. Recommended.

Unici elementi positivi sono stati il personale, molto gentile e disponibile, e la posizione, vicina alla metro per Fontana di trevi. E basta. Arredi vecchi e malandati. Abbiamo pagato una tripla e ci è stata assegnata una doppia con una brandina rotta e con doghe messe insieme con il nastro adesivo. Pulizia sommaria e non approfondita ( mattonelle del bagno sporche). Ci era stato indicata la colazione inclusa , ma di fatto l’hotel non è attrezzato per i pasti e quindi ci è stato offerto un caffè con una merendina confezionata ed, infine, mancava il set di cortesia, essendo presente solo un dispenser con sapone. Molto deludente. Non lo consiglierei.

Très bien placé à 3mn de la fontaine de Trevi et dune station métro. Chambre tres calme car le petit balcon donne sur le palais présidentiel. Chambre un peu vieillotte, mais literie confortable, et avec tout ce quil faut. Bon chauffage, petit réfrigérateur et bouilloire, pour un petit encas ou boisson en rentrant. Salle de bain avec douche correcte sans superflu , mais un vrai sèche cheveux!!!personnel tres agréable, disponible et à l'écoute. Nombreux restos tout près. Je recommande vraiment. Tarifs très raisonnables.

Отель расположен прям в самом центре исторического района Рима!фонтан Треви находится в 5 минутах ходьбы!
Сам отель очень приятный !большая просторная комната с 4-мя кроватями !2 шкафа!И очень большая ваная комната! На счет завтрака то тут дела у них не точно обстоят !стоит 7 евро с человека а есть особо нечего!Но в вблизи находится другой отдел по той же улице называется \"the one\" там чудесный завтрак за 10 евро ))

약간 낡은 느낌이긴 했지만 상대적으로 신식이었던 피렌체 숙소보다 3배 정도 넓었고, 두 곳 모두 숙박해보니 결국은 넓은 로마 숙소가 더 좋았어요! 가격도 적당했고, 스탭 친절했고요 불편함없이 3일동안 잘 묵었네요. 흠 잡을게 딱히 생각나지 않아요!
