El personal del Hotel Al Manthia fue muy amable y servicial. La localización es excelente si deseas descubrir por tu cuenta Roma a pie. La habitación cómoda y remodelada, con amplio baño. Nuestra habitación tenía balcón con vista a la calle principal. Hay que tener en cuenta que es un edificio antiguo cuyo ascensor es pequeño, sin embargo, no tuvimos ninguna dificultad. Importante mencionar que el hotel tiene múltiples niveles con escalones. El desayuno es variado estilo bufet. De regresar a Roma, seguro nos hospedaremos en este hotel.

BED BUGS

My stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare due to a severe BED BUG infestation. We were covered in painful bed bug bites throughout our stay. Despite multiple complaints, the hotel staff was unresponsive and did nothing to address the issue.

The consequences were devastating—we had to discard our belongings to prevent bringing these pests home, incurring significant expenses. The hotel showed no concern for the distress caused.

Furthermore, the bathroom emitted a putrid odor throughout our stay, and the air conditioning did not work. This establishment lacks basic hygiene and upkeep.

Avoid this hotel at all costs unless you want to risk a ruined vacation and the costly aftermath of dealing with a bed bug infestation.

First all staff were pleasant and helpful to deal with. The room itself was clean and adequate enough for our use. The location was extremely convenient as it was in walking distance of many historic sites and restaurants.
The only few things that I would nitpick would be either the ac was weak or didn't work, but cooled down during the night compared to late afternoon. The labelling of the doors was a bit confusing at first as the key code is not on the door itself, but the adjacent hallway. Sometimes you will get guests trying your door figuring out the room. Again since we were mostly out, it didn't affect us as much. Overall for the located and the friendly staff I recommend !

not for people with mobility issues. bed in stairs loft and bathroom on first floor. joseph wasnt overly friendly or helpful. other staff members went above. nice private bath and conveniently located. do not have shuttle service but can call you a taxi.if booking in advance add an additional charge. airport taxi twenty more than stated on website, coffee and tea not restocked and unwilling to replinish

We will need to look for a place that can accommodate a person who can’t do stairs next time. There was no way tp access the hotel without at least 10 stair steps. My husband ended up in emergency the first night from missing a stair step. The brunch was EXCELLENT. Best I have ever been to. The elevator was out of service on check out day. Luckily the staff came to help us take luggage down four flights of stairs.

Please don't waste your money here! The accommodations are subpar, outdated and the place has nothing special or distinguished. The shower didn't drain, the walls were dirty, the bed was very stiff and uncomfortable, and like mentioned in previous comments, the AC does not work. The staff is not the most helpful, the location is purely okay and the walls are incredibly thin as I was woken up several times through the evening by neighbors walking down the hallway. I don't understand how this place has the rating it has, especially considering the price range.

Imagine booking a hotel, arriving finding it closed, with just an A4 paper saying another hotel \"100m\" is where you need to check-in, put in google maps and realise it's 500m away. The check-in uses Covid as an excuse, but every other hotel is open in Rome with staff.. They just sell the hotel online, knowing its closed.. also we live in Rome, and they charged tourist tax, despite not being allowed to do so.
The hotel they send guest too was clean, but the TV was super small and not at all great, breakfast was decent, but the fact they STOLE tourist tax when they are not supposed to, lied about the hotel being open, lied that it was only 100 m walk when google says 500 m, is an absolute disgrace,, they are dishonest and the hotel should be avoided at all costs.

Nice but room needs attention

The customer service and location was fantastic.
The room was clean and spacious and a balcony with a great view.
Downside was only 1 power point worked in the whole room.
Breakfast is terrible, it was buffet and food looked like it had been laying there for days. Bread was dry and not fresh, nothing looked fresh. Yogurt was warm. There are lots of lovely cafes nearby for breakfast.
I would stay here again if the power points all worked but I wouldn’t pay for breakfast again.

We had three rooms one couple left early because it was so bad. No WiFi, no room service, no dry cleaning service, tv didn’t work had to have. it fixed twice before it worked, hair dryer didn’t work, never worked or was replaced, desk lamp didn’t work, said they couldn’t fix it. They would just keep saying they were working on things, We were there for four days because all the other hotels were
booked or we would have moved. All the amenities were on their site when I booked through Hotels.com. Rooms so small no room for clothes or luggage. Room was only cleaned once in four days. Never stay there.

good place to stay.... 5-10 minute walk to trevi fountain and Spanish steps but away from the bustling crowds in those places and around the big piazzas. staff are lovely and very nice.very helpful too.
very close to metro and lots of bars/restaurents/cafes.
street is very busy.... our room on floor 1 faced the street...hard to sleep from the noise of the cars racing by day and night. (we found most cars do that in rome) ask for a room not facing the street.
otherwise pleasant stay... breakfast has good variety, enough to get your day started.

I would not stay here again unless they updated the entire hotel. It was very outdated, a bit dirty (needing paint and carpet cleaning or new carpet) and door lock system was archaic, it was also a bit noisy at times due to other guests. Outside traffic noise was loud at times. The bathroom was pretty clean but again needed updating. I had no problem with the bed but my husband thought it was too hard. Housekeeping service was fine.

the hotel is in a very good location, across the street from palazzo barberini. 2 minuet's walk to fontana de trevi, 10 minuet's walk from via del corso, 15 minuet's walk to piazza di spagna. hotel rooms are nice and not very fancy. however, i recommend to reserve the superior rooms (we were moved to room 309 which was very good) avoid the junior suite at all cost! this is a room with a gallery and the bed is on the gallery level, you have to climb steep stairs to get to bed! we booked a superior room but' as we arrived late we had to take this junior suite (room 303) for 1 night which was uncomfortable and unpleasant! they moved us the next day to room 309 which was much nicer. the staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was good with variety of food. room was clean and towels changed everyday.overall good hotel in a grate location

The room was not as represented in photos. Hotel was in need of updating. The Jr. Suite was a small living area with a steep stairway up to the loft with bed. 3 electric outlets in the suite. Stairway from street to lobby, no bellman or assistance with luggage available. 10 minute walk to Trevi fountain.

Nice Hotel in Rome

Not to much to say but nice Hotel. It is in a good part of Rome very close to all major attractions.

The Trevi fountain is around 5 minutes away including the Spanish steps.

The room was nice and clean and comfortable.

Front desk staff was also very helpful and helped us out with anything we needed.

Would definitely stay here again if we went back to Rome.

Convenient Central Location

If you are fit and keen walkers, this hotel is easily within brisk walking distance of all central Rome tourist hotspots - Trevi Fountain (10 min)/Spanish Steps(10 min)/Vatican and St Marks (30 min)/Partheon (15 min)/Colloseum (20 min) and is also fairly close to Rome Termini Railway Station (15 min). City sightseeing tours offering hop-on hop-off touring run from the bottom of the hill in Via Barberini, (5 mins). The hotel is on a busy city centre road and it would be best to have a rear room. We were fortunate to have been upgraded to a rear suite that looked out over Rome to St Marks Basilica. Three star hotel so don't expect the world - breakfasts were basic and unvaried but enough to give a good start for the day.

Well-located hotel near transportation but perched on a hill.

The room we had on the first floor was updated and comfortable, but the outside traffic noise was annoying. According to the front desk, the rooms in the back are quieter but smaller. The hotel is on a hill. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, this may be a big deal, depending on who you are! In general, the staff was not friendly. One person on the front desk was downright rude when I inquired about the possibility of changing rooms. The biggest plus: breakfast was generous with plenty of selection (eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, cold cuts, cereal, juice, and variations on coffee).

Nice hotel within walking distance of all the must see sights. Our room was on the small side with not a lot of storage space but fine for a short stay( we were there 4 nights). Bathroom was fine, no bath but great shower & plenty of fluffy towels. Breakfast was fine, we never had to wait for a table & there was plenty of choice to set you up for a busy day sight seeing. The Hotel is located in the middle of a fairly steep hill.

1. very small room - the room was extremely small even if rooms of Italy hotels are generally small; we could not keep our bags nicely; the washrooms, the wardrobe and other amenties were discomforting.
2. little expensive but hotels of Rome are generally expensive

The hotel gave us a bad vibe when we entered the room; as we were on a romantic leisure, my wife and I did not crib much about that. The bed was comfortable and nicely done, though.

They were sold out so we sent to another hotel

Unable to rate this, we booked and payed in advanced. They are a chain and put us in a different hotel that was nice. It was in a nice neighborhood,but not near the attractions which is why we had chose the other. No communication to let us know the room would be unavailable, so we wasted time to get to that hotel. They did get us a car free of charge to the other hotel. Check the hotels website to see if rooms are available before booking on Expedia. Hotel Garden Rome is were we stayed and it was nice, and the staff are very accommodating. Great coffee shop just around the corner, as well a a great gelato shop. They do serve breakfast I just like stronger coffee.

Noisy Nights

We had a junior sweet so I could sleep upstairs in the loft and my adult daughter could sleep downstairs on a pull out sofa. It was late March and very warm. The air conditioning did not work and blew hot air. The staff said they do not enable the air conditioning until May. At night it got cooler so opening the window helped but the noise from the cars speeding up Via Quattro Fontane made it nearly impossible to sleep.

Other than that the staff was great and the location can't be beaten.

If you need a hotel to sleep and take a shower this is the one. There is a very near Metro station, the location is convenient there are many restaurats and the people in the front desk is very nice and helpfull, the internet in room is very convenient, the rooms are as small as all hotels in Europe, I highly recomend the hotel if you are looking for a cheap, clean, well located one.

Very nice hotel in terrific location for tourism.

You can walk to metro, bus, and most of the historic center. On a cross-street between major traffic arteries Nazionale and Tritone, so although there is traffic noise at night, it is less here and with no busses. Across the street from Palazzo Barbarini, a major museum. You do have to walk steeply uphill, oddly, from whichever direction you approach from.
We chose it so that we could do romantic walks at night from one illuminated fountain to the next and it is really perfect for that.

Standard rooms bear no resemblance to the enormous suites shown in the photos on-line, so that is a bit misleading. Our room barely had enough space for the bed. But it was serviceable and well-tended with a nice bathroom. So if you want a room that is actually roomy and that looks like the pictures, choose an upgraded room at a higher price. We chose economy and were very happy to take a smaller room for a smaller price.

I noticed some travellers were caught short by the 2 Euro per night per person city tax that must be paid in cash at checkout. You can not blame the hotel for this - it is city-wide.

Breakfast was a very good value and I would recommend it, because it went well beyond coffee and a croissant with jam. There were frittatas, yogurt, fresh fruit, ham and cheese platters, varied rolls, pastries, juices, cereals and milk, a toasting station,etc.

One weird thing was that you could not get TV in Italian. Apparently they have a satellite service that had CNN international in English and a couple of German channels only. So the statement \"guests can channel-surf the cable television\" is misleading.

We found hotel staff to be friendly and helpful.

The hotel Quattro Fontane in Rome is located between the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps, two blocks from the metro. Great access. The rooms were small, beds were comfortable. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Registration was a bit hectic and not terribly friendly in resolving an issue with our booking (We had to pay ten euro at an internet cafe to call Hotels.com to call this hotel and get it figured out), but was extremely helpful with all other aspects. Room was compact but clean and tidy. Great location, with good restaurants and a subway station. Ask front desk for restaurant recommendations!

Great Area!!!

At first site the hotel seems very small, especially when you try to get in the elevator and enter your room.(But what hotel in Europe isn't like that) The shower was very small, but the water pressure was the best. Although the rooms were small, the staff was grand. They were very friendly and helpful.
The area was perfect for first timers in Rome. There was multiple restaurants and we were close to multiple attractions. We walked to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps...ect. And for the type that likes to hang out at night, there were some pretty good pubs near by.
Overall I loved my stay at this Hotel and Area.

This is an extremely convenient hotel for those who wish to see Rome as it should be seen i.e. on foot. It provides a comfortable base within walking distance of the major sites, is very close to Barberini metro station, and is an easy distance from Termini and all forms of transport from there. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable when we got back sweaty and tired from our sight-seeing. After a rest we were close to the restaurants of the Trevi area or Barberini for refuelling for the next day. Our room was at the front but shutters and double glazing kept out the noise and the air conditiioning did not rattle as some do. Recommended for those who really want to explore the city and surrounding area. Only grump was that the safe didn't work and TV had only one channel. But we weren't there to watch TV!

The hotel IS located close to the Spanish Stairs and Trevi Fountain. The room we had was a bit small, the bathroom as well. We were glad we went in May, as the air conditioning in the room was not doing much to cool things off in the daytime. We left the window open at night, which helped somewhat. If you want Y-Fi or breakfast, both cost a bit.

Fred, one of the attendants in the late shift, was fantastic. I arrived at around 1am, and he made sure I had everything I needed: internet, information of Rome, etc. He also gave good advise for restaurants around the hotel.

Some other Italian in the day was a racist who obviously scorned against blacks and asians. I told him about the malfunctioning air conditioner in my room. He ignored me for about 15 minutes, small-talking with a colleague while giving me the \"give me a minute\" gesture. When he does lacklusterly attend to me, he promised to \"send someone to check\" but never did.

Hotel is truly close to Trevi fountain, Piazza Navone & subway stop. Good walking location without being in the middle of tourists. Breakfast was great, room cleaning was scheduled for non-intrusive times so we were able to siesta and return to a clean room later. Bathroom was surprisingly large for a european hotel. Try to avoid rooms on the street as they can be noisy with cars until late. We would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

Quaint stay in Amalfi

The hotel service was excellent and the seating on the terrace for breakfast was a real highlight, with a great view of the sharp cliff backdrop. If you have knee or hip problems, you may want to re-consider, as the stairways are steep up to the room and terrace. Otherwise, enjoy!

We stayed here for 3 nights and were ready to leave. The rooms seemed a little dirty and very small. The breakfast area in the basement was filthy. Out feet were sticking to the floor ! The location was OK, but it was a major hike over to the Vatican City, which we walked to and took a hair raising cab ride back from. The service was marginal, not much English spoken. I would look elsewhere next time.

This was a good hotel for the price and location. We could walk EVERYWHERE, even to the train station with all our luggage. Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps are within minutes of walking and lots of good restaurants too. Safe neighborhood! The room did NOT have comfortable beds and the walls were thin. However, even at expensive hotels in Europe the beds are not usually comfortable- don't know why. Worth it for the money, location, and helpful staff. Just don't expect too good of a night's sleep...

El hotel está limpio y céntrico, lo malo es que se escuchan los ruidos de las habitaciones, reportamos mucho escándalo de la habitación que estaba frente a nosotros, y la recepcionista nos dijo que nosotros fuéramos a decirles que se callaran, a la habitación le falta espacio para guardar cosas y un espejo. Fuera de eso la atención es buena el Sr de la recepción muy amable, el Sr que nos ayudó con las maletas también, la limpieza súper bien.

Ett litet hotell som ligger bra till, nära Spanska trappan och Fontana di Trevi. Nära tunnelbanan och bussar. Rent och fräscht med bra frukost. Rummet vi fick hade inte så mycket golvutrymme runt sängen men det funkade, vi var inte på rummet så mycket.

Very good location, close by some sightseeings of Rome, like Fontana di Trevi and Patheon (within walking range). Also close to the Barberini metro station, which makes access really good.
The room I got was small (single person) but good enough for my short trip. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I had a good experience there!

Quarto para 3 pessoas, camas confortáveis, uma queen em um mezanino e uma casal na parte de baixo. Quarto pequeno, malas tiveram que ficar no chão e as roupas ficaram nas malas, sem armários. Bom banheiro. Café da manhã muito bom, variado. A localização é muito boa, perto de metrô, da Fontada de Trevi, de vários restaurantes. O hotel tem elevador, mas para entrar no hotel, a recepção fica no sub-solo, então ao entrar tem que descer com as malas por um lance de escadas.

*Propreté
*Très bon petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de variété, modifié chaque jour
*Accueil/personnel très au service

mais quelques points d'amélioration sont nécessaires:
* Insonorisation - j'entendais mes propres enfants au bout du couloir
*Parking - pas de stationnement à proximité - service privé proposé mais très chère (35€/nuit)

Я остался доволен проживанием в данном отеле. Кругом чистота, ежедневная уборка. Полноценный завтрак. Очень приветливый персонал. До ЖД вокзала не более 10 минут пешком. До метро и стоянки такси не более 3—5 минут. В соседнем доме находится небольшой продуктовый магазин: сигареты, вино, пиво и тд. Вокруг множество различных магазинов. Кафе и рестораны. Единственный минус — тесновато, но сделано максимально комфортно. Цена — качество на высшем уровне. Советую для проживания.

Hotel con buena ubicación. Puedes llegar caminando a todos los lugares de interés. El desayuno muy variado y el personal bien amable. A la limpieza le pueden poner un poquito más de empeño.

Hotellissa oli käynnissä saneeraustyöt. Ne eivät muuten haitanneet, mutta aamiaishuone oli pois käytöstä. Aamiainen tarjoiltiin aulassa. Aamiainen oli vaatimaton. Käytössä ei ollut lämpölevyjä lämpöisille ruoille, eikä kylmää kylmille, joka hieman häiritsi kokemusta. Standard huone oli pieni ja kokolattiamatto ollut vaihdon tarpeessa jo jonkin aikaa. Pistorasioita huoneessa oli vain kaksi. Toinen kylpyhuoneessa ja toinen heti sisään tullessa ovensuussa. Ilmastointi olisi voinut olla hieman tehokkaampi, mutta riitti kyllä. Hotellin sijainti oli erinomainen. Metro lähellä ja nähtävyyksille kävelymatka. Henkilökunta oli loistavaa.

Trata-se de um hotel antigo, com móveis, elevador, torneiras e carpetes defasados. Porém, apesar disto, a estadia foi muito boa, eis que a localização, a cordialidade dos funcionários e o café da manhã são excelentes
