The outside appearance, location, and views of the hotel were the only things satisfactory.
The manager didn't speak English and was not accommodating or hospitable. Leo and Eva were kind and trying to be a helpful as possible. They upcharged for a ride anywhere and charged different rates ($25-$50 USD per ride).The bedspread and couch had stains, were dusty and never cleaned/washed.
The manager didn't explain that we had to leave our key with them in order to have them clean our room which is a security hazard as I had items in the safe. The breakfast was not good and they charged for anything cooked.

Overall, I'm disappointed for spending this kind of money on this stay as I was paying hefty for a view and that's it. Loved Positano but not this hotel.

The attention in general is good but the parking of the car they charged me 80 euros per day and they had told me that it was between 40 and 50 euros. Outside in the parking spaces they charge 40 euros per day

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed, cared for, and surrounded by beauty. Positano is breathtaking, but this property and its staff made it even more unforgettable.

The hotel is stunning. Every detail feels thoughtful and authentic. The views are picture perfect and the atmosphere is serene and elegant. We booked the suite and I completely recommend it. It was spacious, luxurious, and offered sweeping views that felt like waking up inside a dream. The balcony alone was worth every penny.

What made the stay truly special was the incredible front desk staff. They were the kindest and most attentive people I have ever met in my travels. From offering local recommendations, to assisting with transportation, to greeting us with genuine warmth every time we walked through the door, they made us feel not like guests but like family.

Every touch mattered, from smooth check in to thoughtful housekeeping. The staff’s pride in their work and love for their city shined through.

We left not only relaxed and grateful but also deeply moved by the kindness we received. This was the best hotel experience we have ever had. I will recommend it to anyone traveling to the Amalfi Coast and I am already dreaming of the day we can return.

It’s not worth what I paid. This place is way high up in positano. Hot water was just like Luke warm more like cold. Shower size is very tiny. Bed is uncomfortable and loose. Same breakfast every day in the room. No other option. Very limited choice. Very disappointing. I am sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. No lobby at all.

My reservation was for an ocean view room at the resort. However, we were put up in a completely different building, La Caravella Residence. La Caravella is a very old and outdated apartment building. While it is directly across from the beach, it does not feel or look like a resort. The room we were put in wreaked of cigarette smoke and had a view of beach umbrellas. I called the resort office about the difference in locations and to complain about the smell (supposed to be nonsmoking) and the man ended up hanging up on me. I was frustrated and reached out to Expedia and also wrote a Google review, which led to the property manager contacting me to explain that my original room at the resort had a bathroom plumbing problem that couldn’t be addressed, so I was moved. He then gave me an option for a different room on the second floor at La Caravella, which we took as it had a better view and didn’t smell like smoke. Manager should’ve been honest from the beginning. Very rude man. All in all the location is perfect, but the facilities are very outdated and would benefit from some investment - especially new mattresses, pillows, and towels.

The AC of the room was not working and the director of the property was so rude and basically told us that this is what it is and won't be able to do anything. Much better hotels around and one should not waste time and money on this property

The manager cheated on us that there is no posiibility to find a place to park in the town and the price 90 EURO PER DAY is normal practice. He said that we must pay for 5 days right now. I paid and then I found parkings with price 35 Euro per day. I took my car out of the parking but they refused to give my money back. Terrible PLACE!!!

We were disappointed in how far it was. We didn't realize the location was so far up the hill. Front desk was 24 hour service, but never once did they open up the door for us. They wanted to keep our key at the front desk and we felt very uncomfortable. Worse breakfast of our lives. Honeymoon suite was incredible though. Just very very far walk from center let alone Beach.

When you arrive, use the porters to take your luggage and enjoy the 40 flights up to this roost. Views are fab, room is all you need. Reception staff is a little sketchy - immediately hit me up for cash for a “city tax” no receipt. B’fast in the room was average. Wine in the mini bar was forgettable, and when I checked out and offered to pay because the house keeping didn’t pick it up- again reception wanted another 10€ over the cost shown in the room. I declined to pay. I have had such warm hotel staff through out my travels in Europe - this was unexpected and a turn off.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding my recent stay at the Palazzo Marzoli Resort in Positano, which I booked through Expedia.

My stay at Palazzo Marzoli Resort has been far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my experience with you. I have had the opportunity to stay in over a hundred hotels throughout my travels, but this one stands out as the worst in terms of service, functionality, and comfort.

Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was met with a rather unsettling demand from what appeared to be the owner. He insisted that I pay the city tax in cash, and cash only, which I found to be highly unethical. In contrast, the other five hotels I stayed at during my Italy trip allowed me to settle such charges at checkout using a credit card. This demand for cash left me with a sense of discomfort and unease.

The issues did not end there. Upon entering my room, it became immediately apparent that the air conditioning was barely functional. It would operate for a mere five minutes before shutting off. Given the scorching temperatures in Positano, this has made it incredibly difficult for my girlfriend and me to get a good night's sleep. Our request for a fan was met with an unhelpful response, stating that it was not possible.

To make matters worse, despite the hotel being advertised as a 4-star establishment on Expedia, it does not even meet the standards of a 2-star accommodation. The mattress in

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!! This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We thought we were getting a reasonable deal on a room for a night, only to arrive and they charge an additional €150 per person to stay in the room (it was me and my boyfriend staying). And they also charge you €180 use their parking garage. ALL JUST FOR 1 NIGHT. None of which they tell you prior to booking. The staff is not helpful, pretended like they don't speak English, and would not refund us the parking garage fee when we requested to get our car out to park somewhere else instead 10 minutes later. OH and the beds are so uncomfortable... literally outdated box spring mattresses.

100% the WORST hotel and worst experience and worst management.

I stayed for three nights in this property but I ran into some problems first I went to consume a mini bar water and they had the nerve to charge me €6 for a small 500 ml water! second problem I asked for the taxi to transport only five minutes away and they charged me €50! My family and I recently stayed at this hotel and it left me disappointed. The pictures online painted a luxurious picture, but upon arrival, I found the reality to be quite different. The room was smaller than expected, and the furnishings were worn walls scuffs all over. The amenities mentioned were either unavailable or required additional fees. Overall, the experience did not live up to the price tag, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others seeking a high-end stay. In addition parking was $100 a day and private tour we booked through them which was canceled for weather is yet to be refunded 10 days since cancellation. The private tour we booked for a boat excursion was over priced too- at the port the same excursion was $650 cheaper. Should of done our homework instead of trusting the hotel.

The Palazzo Marzoli Resort does not have all of the trappings of a typical resort. It is more similar to a B&B run by caring people who are genuinely concerned about their guests comfort. The room was spacious and clean and the pictures are accurate to what the facility looks like. My only complaint is the 100€ per day garage parking fee. I thought the parking fee was a bit excessive even for Positano in the high season. Otherwise a nice place to stay for a few days.

This hotel was great! It was located at the TOP of the hill overlooking Positano, which gave us an amazing view from our balcony, where we had our breakfast every morning and a drink every night. It is located at the TOP of the steps to the beach, which were strenuous in the heat. It was probably around 1000 steps to the water. But the bus was cheap and there was a bus stop 500 feet from the hotel, so that worked out well. Breakfast was fresh and brought to your room, and staff was helpful and courteous. Recommend!

Deserves 2 stars. We arrived with our car, was charged 300$ for parking 100$/night because they can cuz it’s Positano. There are couple of items on the included breakfast menu: Croissant, 1/2 cup OJ and coffee and if you don’t ask for it you don’t get it cuz they bring it to you. The hallways smell like vomit. Shower barely works and so on.. it is a family run 2-3 room I don’t know what but not a hotel ! no I do not recommend this please!

The resort is very beautiful with a professional staff! Me and my both children had a wonderful time in the room with the sea views and Positano from above! Our breakfast was served as scheduled in our room every morning! It is very easy to find from the main road uphill! Very clean and well maintained! It is minutes away from the local restaurants! Highly recommend it while visiting Amalfi coast!

It felt more like I was staying at someone's grandma's beach house if she had a housekeeper and a butler. When we first arrived, we had to pay the €16 city tax in cash, which seemed really sketchy since I didn't see it in the listing, but was actually in the fine print.

The location of the property is beautiful for the views, but impractical to walk to anything except for Yogoloso down the street which was our lifesaver. If you do happen to venture off, beware that Google maps isn’t exactly accurate and the steep climbs are difficult to get back up if you're not used to it.

This led to us asking the front desk for a ride to our reservation by the water. He told us it would be €35 in cash, but we didn't have the cash on us so he said we could pay it the next day. We got a ride back that night and gave them the €70 the next day.

We bought some extra items to supplement the free breakfast, which was a wonderful experience and very convenient. They came in and set it up outside and it was delicious.

One night, we ordered dinner through their menu, but it was actually food from down the road that they prepared on plates and made look nice. It was fine though, they set it up outside like they did the breakfast.

The real problem I had was when we checked out, the total we owed in cash was a bit more than we had calculated ourselves and when I asked for an itemized receipt, he wouldn't give one to me and claimed he was unable to do so. Heed the warnings and beware.

Great stay and beautiful clean rooms, my only problem was the Wi-Fi it was really bad and it would logged you out every minute or so, they kinda push for you to purchase an extra wifi service to avoid this issue so not very happy about that, also the breakfast is very simple, only offering drinks and croissants, for very very expensive extra charge you can get fruit, eggs, cheese and meats, we got the cheese and meats for 10€ and we literally got 3 slices, absolutely ridiculous, besides that, very friendly staff, clean and great views.

The place is hard to access if you take ferry to Positano. The hotel promised us to pick up but they they didn’t show up. We had to drag luggages up the steep stairs. We have to ask for wifi to log in daily. Hotel staff don’t speak English, hard to communicate. Its run by a family, they are not hospitality professionals. The price is attractive, room is spacious. Breakfast is average. There’s a bus stop a few mins away from the hotel. Positano has limited hotel to choose from, staying in Amalfi would be a better choice.

The air conditioning stopped working several times and even when it was on the room was never cool. I had a friend come shower at my room from the beach and they charged me $160 because the reservation was for 1 and therefore nobody else is allowed in the room. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable with a good size balcony that had beautiful views and a table and chair outside to have breakfast on. Staff were lovely too.

The breakfast served was very basic - a croissant each, a yoghurt and coffee. Extras like fruit had to be purchased. It would have been good to have fresh fruit included with the breakfast each morning. The breakfast is delivered each morning on a tray which is nice to have on your balcony, but it is not a buffet breakfast which we were expecting.

The hotel is very far up - the top of Positano hotels area, however we booked late and there was very limited availability. There are a lot of stairs and you need to take stairs and distance into consideration. My partner and I are both very fit but found it too far away - it's an effort to go out to look at the shops, visit a cafe or bar, etc as it's too far to just come and go all day from your room.
We only stayed 2 nights and to be honest, I wouldn't stay that far away from Positano main area again as you don't get to enjoy being 'amongst it all' and being able to come and go as you please (unless you are happy to walk down for 15 mins / up for 20-30 mins).

This is a lovely small hotel a bit outside the busy part of Positano. The staff was welcoming, hospitable and accommodating. They bring breakfast to each guest's room (which has a small balcony overlooking the sea), which is nice, and gives one the opportunity to enjoy it in the privacy of their room. The rooms are clean, comfortable and airy with high ceilings and pretty floor tiles. Overall we had a very nice experience.

Awful experience with high price for nothing!

This is for sure not 4 star hotel!
First, compare ro other hotels 4 star in Positano, this one is very high on the hill, which means many many stairs to the beach and restaurants.
It's on the main road with the buses that lead to Amalfi or Sorrento, which make it very noisy the whole day!!
We reserved a room with continental breakfast, but eggs are 10€ extra, frutis are 8€ extra, cheese and ham are 8€ extra... croissant and coffee are NOT a continental breakfast. I never saw that price for a coca cola or water in a mini bar- 8€ for a small can!!!
Moreover, it was 13 celzius outside at night, but the air-condition in full power didn't work! In the bathroom we got frozen after showring cause there was no heater there, not even to dry our towels!
The hotel didn't open the jacuzzi saying cause of covid restrictions, but all the other hotels we visited during the last week had their pool and jacuzzi open. How come?
Try to avoid this hotel, and trust me- never book hotels rated less than 8 here!

A really lovely small boutique hotel, exactly the kind of stay we wanted in Positano. We traveled from Rome to the Amalfi coast in a classic car and needed a hotel with parking. We did not realize that all parking in the area is paid (and quite expensive!) as it was not mentioned on Expedia. The hotel staff were helpful and we agreed the price for parking.
Room was spacious and clean and had a huge balcony with fabulous views. We would come again!

Great stay in Positano

Great location - very easy to reach other parts of the city by foot. The hotel also has a shuttle service that runs throughout the day (down to the beach) for people who prefer to be driven.

Breakfast is complimentary (there are options listed at the bottom as “extras” for an additional price) however WiFi is not - I believe this was €10 per day. There is also an option for parking which was an additional €65. Be sure to call in advance so their valet can ensure the hotel’s shuttle vehicle isn’t blocking the entrance to the parking garage - they will also help stop traffic so you can pull in properly which was very, very helpful!

Great hotel overall - definitely recommend especially at this price.

The welcome was very inviting and pleasant. The receptionist had such a great attitude and it seemed our trip was going to be a hassle free one.

The Room was beautiful, Colors were amazing and the room was very clean. The shower was super small, but the hot water... was plentiful. So nice, coming from a few AirBnB's with 2.5 min of hot water. The view.... wow. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect view.

The shuttle service was a little misleading and unclear. The driver said one thing, and the reception said another. Once we got back from our day trip at the beach, we were told to call the hotel and that the driver would come pick us up, no specific time. Once back at the hotel, the new receptionist, said it was a 25 euro charge.

This is where the stay became super unpleasant. Once the fees were explained to us, they got a really rude attitude with us because we didn't agree with some of their charges. Though we had the coke, no price was given to us and then at check out was given a charge of 10 euro for a 8 oz coke. Such a rip off. Then they tacked on a fee of 25 euro for the shuttle bus, even though the evening we came back and explained the miscommunication to the receptions, she said it was fine just that once. Very poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, and would be very worry of your stay if you do.

There was no gym in the hotel despite it being advertised with a Gym. its quite far from the main town and the shuttle service to town is €20 one way! they have allocated free times for Shuttle but not enough. The receptionist doesnt speak proper english and most of them are not experienced so its hard to communicate. The breakfast is really horrible and only croissants with nutella (no eggs) and dont ever order juice or coffee as its really bad. They charge a lot for the Wifi per day and its expensive and based on each person - we had to fight to get ours for free. They over charge so please go through the final invoice carefully. They charged €180 for drop off to Naples which is ok but the car they used was really bad (you could have got a good mini van for same price). Try to avoid this hotel if possible.

Perfect location on the hills of Positano. Great view! Breakfast to your balcony! Parking was $35 per night but depends on size of car. Sounds high but it's parked safe under the spot you're staying. It is valet and they help you park so it's nice. Bring cash for this stay if possible. Bus picks up right next to the place and they even offer free rides to dinner spots. Young girl at desk was a sweetheart! Bellhop was nice and the owner was nice. Great stay.

Unfortunately, this place doesn’t have WiFi, you must pay €10 per day and per person. I didn’t check if this place provide WiFi because nowadays who doesn’t??? Anyways still rate was very high!
The place was pretty uphills and far from the beach, at least 30 minutes walking distance, and as you may know Positano has a tons of stairs, so getting in the hotel was not easy at all with 2 luggage from the Positano port.

The hotel offers very basic breakfast, the staff provide the day before a checklist, I asked for 4 croissants ( I knew they were very small, and in fact they were!!) and they only provided 2 mini croissants plus coffe, butter, and Nutella. Forget about cheese, ham or something else. So don’t expect a wonderful breakfast. Also they don’t serve breakfast before 7:30am, so I only eat one time of my two booked nights.

Every time that you leave the hotel you must leave the keys at the lobby 🙄🙄 it’s kinda of annoying and old fashion

In general the hotel was clean, and the staff were nice but old fashion.

Worst hotel in Positano

Palazzo Marzoli was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life.Rude staff, terrible service, and it is full of scams. Check in was pretty decent. We had an early check in and with the staff I had no problem. I asked for parking for my rental car and it was 30euros a day. ( expensive in my opinion) Everything was ok until we gave my girlfriend’s dress to dry cleaning for ironing. The dress came back dirty and wrinkly. I told them what happened but instead of apologizing they claimed that the dress was already dirty. For the record she never wore that dress. I asked them to not charge me for the mess they have created but at check out they demanded €10. Like this wasn’t enough, they blamed me for breaking their already broken and crappy hairdryer. I called the staff because their hairdryer wasn’t working. As soon as the guy came to check, he made a story up in his mind about how my girlfriend had broken their hairdryer. They told us that my girlfriend had burned the hairdryer with her hair straightener. Seriously man? He came in to the room like a detective and at first glance, he told me the story in his mind. She haven’t even dried her hair since we arrived. This was our second day in the hotel. I tried to explain the staff that my girlfriend didn’t use her hair straightener since she arrived and their hair dryer was already broken. They didn’t believe me of course and blamed me for breaking their hair dryer. I argued and they raised their voice at me. I specifica

Palazzo Marzoli is a beautiful hotel in Positano. It is further up the hill from the center of town and the beach, but it was a nice walk and the views were unbeatable. The staff is very friendly and did their best to speak English to us as we didn't know Italian. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast delivery was a great way to start each morning.

The owner/operators of this hotel have no concept of privacy. Felt violated and watched the whole time. Hotels.com should be ashamed for recommending this place. Felt down right unsafe at this hotel. After two sleepless nights we cut our trip short and left early. I can put up with the surprise bogus charges but I cannot put up with having no privacy. Do not book if you value any level of comfort or privacy. Other issues (as if you need any) advertised hot tub that was not working, surprise very expensive parking fee, AC with limits!!! But I cannot say how unsettling and creepy it was to have them go in your room with do not disturb sign on the door and even after we told them not to go in the room when we are not there. We went out and hung the do not disturb sign on the door we found it hanging on the inside of the room after we came back. What's the point of the thing then.

Underwhelming/Disappointing First Time to Positano

We definitely would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. The hotel is too far up the mountain and it takes about 20 min (and many steps) to get down to the cove and beach, which is the main tourist area. The hotel itself was OK in terms of cleanliness but the room was very hot even with air conditioning on. The room could and overall Hotel could definitely use updating as it is very dated. The complimentary breakfast delivered to the rooms is pitiful. Wifi is not included and so you must pay €10/day PER DEVICE to use the internet, which is only valid in the room. If you want to have wifi access in the public areas of the hotel, you have to pay an additional €10 per day for this. Don't worry, there aren't really any public areas in this small hotel so you won't need the public wifi.

The above issues, however, are the least of my concerns. I have never felt so unwelcomed in a hotel in my life, nor have I have felt so taken advantage of. Most of the staff did not speak English and the daughter of the owners, Daniela, did most of the translating. Every time we asked a question, we then had to wait for a 3-4 minute conversation between the family to take place before receiving an answer. They made no effort to welcome us and give us a rundown of the city, hotel or main tourist attractions of Positano. Car Service was overpriced. They never missed an opportunity to squeeze more money out of us. I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone else I know.

Horrible service. We had reserved for our 50th Anniversary. Hired private driver to take us from Naples right up to hotel front door. As he unloaded our luggage this horrible woman from front desk comes running up saying no, no, you can't stay here we have no room for you. Even though we had our reservation and she knew we were reserved there. She was RUDE and yelled at our driver to take us to their \"sister\" hotel. Because of the stairs, etc. in Positano he couldn't drive us there, we had to hire a porter (another $50) to take our bags there while we had to walk and walk on our own...not knowing where this other hotel was located. The hotel was on the beach, which was nice, but just a \"site manager\" and no concierge to help us out. The woman at Palazzo Marzolie should be FIRED! The manger (Rosa) at the other property was very nice (Caravelle), but we booked an \"elegant\" hotel and though we were down on the beach, we got a more basic place. We feel humiliated and cheated. I do want to say that Rosa was very nice to us and tried her best to make us feel comfortable. The other woman (didn't catch her name while she was \"shooing\" us away needs a severe talking to and most preferably fired. You need to follow up with this hotel....we feel we should be reimbursed for the porter (both ways - because we had to do the same thing when we left). We also feel overcharged based on the difference in \"elegant\" vs more basic hotel. We are also owed an apology by hotel and you.

Excuse-filled, powdered breakfast, dog & pony show

We stayed here for several nights. This hotel is literally at the top of Positano by the main highway, so it's quite a trek down. We enjoyed the exercise, but it does make things inconvenient if you want to quickly run to your room for something. They supposedly have a shuttle but it seemed like a hassle as it only had a few pick up times. Most Positano hotels are rustic; I'd say this one is that way as well, though they've tried to make it modern looking outside. They own a sister property right on the waterfront which looks amazing. We paid an upgraded rate to get a jacuzzi terrace, thinking the bigger terrace offered better views. Honestly, the regular superior view room is just as good. The jacuzzi was not clean (staff said it was due to wind) and it did not maintain temperature ; one day it did not heat up past 33 degrees C, so that was disappointing (blame it on a \"cold\" 65 degree night). Staff tried to sweep these issues under the rug rather than trying to please us, which is what most hotels would do (one staff put his hand and pretended it was too hot: \"Ahh Ow\", i.e. a dog & pony show). They did not provide any discount or refund for lack of functional jacuzzi which is the whole reason we got that room. They tried to push a private expensive tour of Pompei (I suggest renting a car like we did). Also, breakfast is horrendous. Powdered eggs, packaged croissant, crackers, powdered orange drink. Capuccino seemed fresh, but that's it. Sheets uncomfortable, not cozy.

Well looked after and very clean boutique hotel. Staff were very friendly, but not all spoke english which made some communication a little difficult. We were given a great, spacious room on the top floor with a wonderful private balcony. The air-conditioning didn't always work though..
Had to call reception who seemed to have the control to turn it on/off. Luckily we weren't there in the heat of summer. The jacuzzi was also unavailable for use until June. Parking is available on site for 35 euro per night for a medium sized car. This was quite handy as public parking garages in the area were quite difficult to get to. The hotel is located on the top of the town.. To get into Positano you need to catch a local bus, the stop is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel do offer a free shuttle service to and from, but are not always available to do so. Wifi is not free and very expensive per day charge. A very basic free breakfast is served in the room. Other items are available, but is quite expensive. Room service has a 20 euro fee for any orders.. there are only a couple of restaurants nearby. Beware of using their phone. We made a 20 min local call which cost 30 euro on check out. The rate of the call was not discussed prior to connection of the call nor were the rates documented anywhere in the menu. You need to leave your hotel key at reception everytime you leave the hotel. We were given the incorrect room key on one occassion- not sure how safe that system is

Great hotel, not so great staff.

This was a lovely place to stay, beautiful room, beautiful view of the water, and a great location. But the woman who booked the room for us forgot that the hotel was closing for the season for renovations and she told us we had to leave a day early - this was at 7:00 at night and check out was the next morning at 11:00. And she refused to pay for our transfer to another hotel - which she charged us 50 Euro for.

I can't say enough good things about Palazzo Marzoli. We were welcomed upon arrival and were extremely happy with the service. All staff were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was served daily on our deck and was substantial. The rooms were beautiful and the location for us was perfect. It's at the upper part of Positano but an easy walk to the beach. Also close to laundry and local markets. After a cramped bus ride from Sorrento we enlisted the hotel's shuttle which was very worth it. We would definitely stay here again.

Lots of extra charges and tough to get to

We were not told in advance that the hotel is at one of the highest points in Positano and really a pain to get to. Once there, we were told that despite having reserved a room for two nights, we were going to have to transfer to another room for the second night, and a worse room at that. There was a jacuzzi on the deck of our room, but we were informed that in order to use it, there would be an extra charge.
They have room service for their \"included breakfast\" however, there is a 20 Euro \"delivery charge\" for your breakfast and you pay extra for any meat with breakfast.
Worst of all, just as we were leaving, we were asked if we had used anything from the mini-bar that morning. I told her my son had a Sprite and a bag of chips. She then charged me 18 Euro for those two items! Yes, about $25 for a can of pop and chips! Unbelievable.
There are a LOT better places in Positano for the same price and a lot better service.

This hotel is on the main thoroughfare for the Amalfi coast. In other words a very busy street. It is a short walk to the bus stop that will take you to Sorrento or Amalfi. To go down to the center you get another bus for 1 euro to to city center. It runs often. You can walk down to town but we ddn't. The room is great and they deliver a continental breakfast to your room every morning where you can eat on the balcony with views of the Mediterranean. Heavenly.
Great room, very spacious. I would definately return to this hotel.

Great quiet hotel with incredible views.

We had a great time at this hotel. If you're looking for walking access to the beach you've booked the wrong one. It has a bus closeby, cafe and all the restaurant shuttles pick up here. Very small boutique hotel. We rented the suite with the sea view and it was pricey but perfect. Hotel does not have a pool but the staff are excellent and breakfast arrived in our room each day.

Goal of hotel to charge for extra items

Booked a room for 4 people on line. The email confirm said came with one double or 2 twins. Really for 4 people?
It also indicated the cost for a rollaway bed was an extra 100 euros per day. I sent emails to the hotel for clairity and no response was received. It turned out that there were only 3 in our party and the room had a queen and a twin. I met one guest while there that indicated that she was being hit up for an extra 100 unexpected euros a night. It could have been related to a charge for a roll away bed.
At check-in the guest in front of me was questioning the food charge on his final bill. We were very careful not to get hit with these charges. The hotel only has a very minimal continental breakfast. You must fill out a sheet the night before indicating which of the few choices that you want and the time. You can eat on the porch or in your room. There are some additional items that can be paid for. If you need silver ware etc in your room to eat the 10 euro omelet then you will be hit up for a 15 euro service charge.
Used the free shuttle 2 times and they tried to charge me at check out for a 22.50 euro transport fee.

Very cute little hotel in Positano. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and view is amazing from balconies. Only issue (not hotel's fault) is the hotel is located fairly high up in Positano, so it's a trek to get down to the port/central area and back up. Otherwise, great experience and I would recommend to others.

Beautiful and romantic gem away from tourist cente

This is a small, private family-run hotel with possibly the best views in Positano. It's perched high up on the steep hills that are so characteristic of this beautiful city. On first we impression, we were wary of the location - it does require a bit of navigating the steps that bring one to the beach and main center. However, this part is also what made our stay amazing. Beautiful restaurants nearby, away from the main tourist drags, little food shops down the block. And the view from our gorgeous tiled room is indescribable. Excellent place for a romantic trip. The daily breakfast served to us on our private balcony was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!
