Staff helped park our car and took luggage up stairs for us. They gave us a map and suggestions about where to tour and eat. Breakfast went till 10:30 which was nice that we didn’t have to rush. Lots of good fresh choices for breakfast that was included! Beautiful view of Positano and the ocean from room, patio and larger patio from the hotel. Great location to walk everywhere. Reasonable price for Positano. We would stay here again! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

I couldn’t recommend this place more! They had the absolute friendliest staff, the rooms were so charming, the breakfast was fantastic with a beautiful view and the area was great. I enjoyed how quiet it was compared to the main square yet it was walkable to get to the main area. I hope to be back here in my lifetime and reminisce on all the great memories we made here!

The view of the hotel was GORGEOUS. we loved that our hotel had a balcony for us and how we stayed at the end of Positano where it isn’t too busy honestly but still in the center for us to walk everywhere. I love that it’s dog friendly and they give you free breakfast and help you out with transportation. Plus a bottle of wine upon arrival.

The room was a little small and cramped + slightly outdated. But the staff was nice and helpful.

Our visit was excellent. The front desk was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. Parking was convenient, the AC in the room worked, the room was clean and the bed wasn't too hard or uncomfortable. The breakfast was satisfactory.

Cons: The beach towels were worn out. Replacing these with new ones would be nice. The water bottles in the fridge were pricey, you may just want to buy some at a store near by.

Overall the hotel was nice for a 3 star and I would reccomend it.

This hotel has a very casual vibe- it has a lot of charm and the staff are very warm. The patios on the rooms are definitely the star of the show! The rooms themselves could use a little love but overall they were clean and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast on the rooftop is a great way to grab some coffee before setting out on a journey into the main part of town (about 20 minutes downhill, beware the walk up when it’s hot and you are full of pasta and have lots of shopping bags) thankfully the bus stop is nearby. We booked a transfer from the Napoli train station and we are so glad we did! Very comfortable. Also, lots of great dining options nearby without having to go all the way into town.

Este hotel la verdad para nosotros fue muy decepcionante en las fotos lucía diferente , y tuvimos un pequeño inconveniente cuando llegamos con la Sra de el front desk , la reservación estaba hecha para 4 porq hicimos este viaje con mis hijos y cuando llegamos resulta que decía que eran 2, deben estar pendiente cuando reserven en la mayoría de hoteles de Italia dicen que los niños son estadía gratis , pero es falso al llegar me hicieron un cobro extra de $190 € después que habíamos pagado por 3 noches $2500 € , además de los cargos extra de impuestos por noche , muy desepcionante y ya estando allí tocaba pagar , estuvimos en un apto que ellos tienen en la primera planta , en toda nuestra estadía nunca limpiaron , las vistas si son impresionantes , pero no volvería a este sitio, además la subida de escalones desde el puerto son 500 escaleras , la mejor vía es por la carretera , te cansas menos , mi recomendación por el precio que pague hay mejores hoteles más céntricos y sin subir tantos escalones .. igual me disfrute positano

The rooms are quite noisy and we were unable to get a good night sleep due to hearing people near us and staff at night and early morning.

What a view! Such a fantastic spot in Positano. Up the hill but surrounded by gorgeous restaurants and a view that is breathtaking. The staff are wonderful and made us so very welcome. Its like walking in to a beaufiful families home and feeling welcome. The kind owners found the perfect room for us at a very last moment and made sure it was perfect. They go out of their way to be kind , helpful and welcoming. Wonderful!

I cannot recommend Florida Residence enough. The staff were so kind and the property is located in an ideal area of Positano. All restaurants, shops, and beaches were within walking distance, but the balconies had some of the most incredible views of the coast. The complimentary breakfast each morning was also spectacular.

Gorgeous balconies along with extraordinary staff

Parking in Positano is normally expensive and sometimes impossibly rare - but not at Florida. There was free onsite parking. The staff, Luigi in particular, were extraordinarily nice and ensured we had everything we needed. We booked a sea view room and it had the perfect balcony. The A/C worked great. The bed was not comfortable by American standards but was typical for Europe. The walk up from the sea isn't as bad you'd think (and our latest trip was in July!)

Angelo helped us park the car and even gave tips to visit Fornilo beach, advice on which the public bus to get to the Path of the Gods and organised a bus for us to get to La Tagliata. This hotel had a family feel. Very welcoming. We were picked up at the bus stop and driven to our hotel by golf cart. Our luggage carried up the stairs to our room. Very helpful with information about Positano. Nice breakfast on rooftop with view of the Mediterranean Sea. Our room had a patio with sea view. Clean room with updated bathroom. You could walk to the beach and shopping area (probably a mile) or take the local bus. Were taken by golf cart to bus stop on our departure. Beautiful location, quiet. Way to go Florida Residence.

I really don't understand the previous reviews from other guest who were negative about things. It was a charming place to stay and I would gladly recommend it to anyone. Awesome and affordable place in Positano. The breakfast had it's normal European selection of cheese, bread, and hot foods such as eggs, hard boiled eggs, and sausage. Also, there was a whole selection of fruit juices. coffee, and tea. The room has a remarkable view of the city and the customer service was great. Although it is a 15-20 minute walk to the main center, it saved us a lot of money. Really great for people who are active and can walk uphill and downhill. The room smelt unique, but the whole stay was 10/10. Definitely would recommend to others

We had a great experience at Florida Residence, although I felt if I had spoken Italian it would have been that much better! A/C only worked in one room, which in July, was really hot! Rooms were clean and we were left alone (no room service, linen changing or re-stocking). Paying high season prices, I would have hoped for a little more high-tough service, but all in all, this was a great place to stay. Easy to get to the beach (both) and restaurants just around the corner. We loved our time in Positano!

We had such a wonderful time in Positano, in large part thanks to our stay at Florida Residence. It's an especially great option if you're driving, as they have free onsite parking (which is a rare commodity in Positano).

The staff at Florida Residence was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay a great one, including greeting us at the entrance and parking our car, providing recommendations for the beach, making us breakfast, and giving a nice tour of the building. Even though it's here on VRBO, we'd compare this to a hotel experience (and a great one at that).

The view from our balcony was unbeatable and even better than we expected.

The location was perfect --- close proximity to shops and restaurants and a short walk to the city center and beach, yet back far enough from both that it was a little quieter.

Make sure you stay here if you are visiting Positano!

We did not go. And we were still charged for 1 night. Over $400.
I am disgusted with this.
This was our first and last time with Expedia!!
We had booked this many weeks ago.
I noticed towards the end of May a charge from this hotel. I find out that it's too late to cancel.
I call on 3 separate occasions to Expedia explaining we would not be going. We've had an illness in the family PLUS both of my sons were in separate serious car accidents. Each and every time I was told you would look into helping us and promised an email or a call back with 24 hours...….not once, but 3 times!!! No call back, no email.
UNBELIEVABLE!!
Not the way to run a business.
I was sceptical about doing this versus using a travel agent. Your service proved me right. Disgusting!
I've heard about this happening before with you guys, I guess you got your money!!
Circumstances can change......you would think a simple procedure for your clients would be an email maybe 24 hrs before your deadline to remind people just in case, like with us circumstances changed!
No need to reply, LOL. You haven't yet, I'd be shocked now!!!

Before we booked, we saw other reviews talking about lots of cats - we saw 2 cats on our stay and it really was not a problem at all. The room had a balcony with an amazing view. There was also a rooftop terrace with even better views (pretty much what you see in the property photos).

Fantastic view, great location, high enough to get a wonderful view, not too high to walk down to beach, staff very nice and helpful. Close to many restaurants. Room was clean with everything you need. The only reason i do not give 5 stars is because the mattress is very hard. I dont mean firm, it is hard. We only stayed a few days but if you are staying longer consider the bed. It also had a balcony which was lovely. Overall the place was wonderful and staff accommodating.

First off let me say I always hate seeing people leaving awful reviews that can damage a business and sometimes it comes across as an attack. But this was a trip of a lifetime and I would hate for someone else to spend good money on this place. First off the owners and staff were extremely kind. I hope they make improvents needed because it’s an amazing location. Now on to experience. We got in late check in and noticed a heavy cat litter smell in lobby. And three cats quite at home. The room was very dated and uncomfortable bed. The bathroom had a very strong smell, like sewage gas.breakfast was pretty plain but with cat on chairs and table you didn’t trust eating it. Even though it was covered. We left early and tried to cancel. Hotels.com tried to cancel but hotel wouldn’t. We went back and though they cleaned it was a strong air freshener smell to cover odors. We went on veranda which is incredible and started talking to guests in next room. She had cat allergies and was having a problem breathing. So she went and cancelled and moved to hotel Paso paso next door. Fabulous hotel. We decided to do the same. They refunded two nights and charged 2 nights. Don’t make the mistake we did and try to save some money. It isn’t worth it. Again the family was very kind, but the cats came into rooms and we’re obviously very welcome by owners.

This hotel is accessible by public transportation as the bus stop is only a minute away. If you need a quick bite there are a few restaurants only a few minutes from the property as well.

If I were to share what I loved about this hotel, the first on the list would be the family owning it. Being welcomed by a big smile by Aniello and his Grandma, then gradually meeting the rest of the family made us feel at home.

The hotel may be a little up the hill but Aniello was so helpful and dropped us to wherever we needed to go in his awesome fun shuttle.

Although it is not a modern hotel nor a luxurious one, yet it is clean, and very authentic as it feels like a family home right out of the amalfi region.

My recommendation to the owner would be to improve the breakfast for future visitors and preserve their welcoming warm nature.

You Can't Go Wrong With This Hotel!!!

This was my first visit to Positano and I had no previous information on Florida Residence; I simply selected the hotel on Orbitz based on price and location. What a great decision that I made!!! Everything was perfect! I loved the location high up in the hills but don't be discouraged -- there are several great restaurants, bars and shops very close by so you don't have to venture all the way down the hill. This was especially nice during the evening because I would relax on my patio and then it was a short walk to a wide variety of restaurants for dinner. I would purchase a bottle of Prosecco and then head back to my patio for the perfect evening view! Also, ask for Room #20 if you can -- the patio is great!!! Also, the staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating -- you can't go wrong with this hotel!

Positano Find

Aniello met us and helped Park the car in very tight quarters. He and his family run the hotel and they all could not have been nicer. The accommodations are basic but the location is great with a nice patio and view. Aniello will use his golf cart shuttle to save many steps walking, taking you into town and picking you up. The price was right and we had a great time!

A great hotel, great experience

Florida Residence is great hotel. We enjoyed our stay in there for two nights. Our room has a big balcony with a great view of the ocean. My daughter even asked us to order the food and eat at the balcony. The staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel has its own private parking which is a big plus. However, parking can be challenging if you drive to the hotel. The hotel staff actually helped us park our car,

Great views and friendly staff

A quiet hotel with wonderful views. We were greeted with many smiles.

We stayed in one of the apartments and it was perfect...1 bed plus a pull out couch bed, sitting area, patio with chairs, umbrella, and cafe table, kitchenette. Amazing. We booked last minute and got a great deal! Incredible view, welcoming staff, tropical decor...wish we had stayed here longer!

Large 1 bedroom apartment with great location

Great location as the same street had excellent dinner options, great service ask about buggy service to pick u up and drop u back for your arrival and departure into Positano. Good price option for getting clothes washed, Large room, bed was ok. Every worker was friendly and had heaps of local advice. Would def come back

I am gonna start with the views. Wow what a view! Stepping out onto that balcony every morning was amazing. The room was bigger than your average european room. But there was a funky smell and the room needed to be cleaner. There was dust all over the night stands. And the bed is hard as a rock. For some nights the AC didnt want to work but it was cold enough outside that we just opened the window. Breakfast is actually not bad. You get the typical croissant but they also had some cheese and hams tomatoes fruits and boiled eggs. The location is close to fornillo beach and some restaurant but it is quite a walk to the center of town.
