Overall a nice stay. Check in was good with the help to find parking and service to check in. The room was nice but simple. Not the greatest furnishings. Pillows were subpar. Nothing was really supplied as far as a complimentary like a little wine or something special. The restaurant was amazing, but I won’t say that was why to stay there. The location and surrounding property was great. I would recommend for a short stay.

I had a fabulous stay at this property and i definitely want to give the staff their flowers. They were so helpful and polite, always there when we needed assistance. We had so many questions about transportation, getting around, and taking the ferry, which they were all able to answer making much of our stay in positano smooth . The room was clean and well kept. We also enjoyed the outdoor bar area, it has a beautiful view of the city with a beautiful garden attached . I would also say they are in the perfect location to get to the beaches and ferries. Most hotels in the area are off the beaten path/no road access this one was right near where car services can drop you off and they offer luggage service. Highly highly recommend for a trip to positano.

Gorgeous property right in the heart of the pedestrian area of Positano. The decor was beautiful, in our room and around the hotel. The service was excellent (a little stuffy at times, but understandable for the caliber of the hotel). The turndown service & welcome treat were such a great touch. Breakfast was fantastic. We also loved the outdoor spaces for dining and by the pool, which were marked by a lemon terrace, water views, and a vegetable garden. Highly recommend if you're staying in Positano. You can't beat the location and service.

What a tremendous experience! A resort-like property easily walkable to the beach and lots of positano. And yet you have a pool, gardens, restaurant, patio, truly welcoming and attentive staff. Again, maybe 4-5 sets of stairs to the beach, but removed from the crowds. We loved this hotel.

We were blown away by our time at the Palazzo Murat right from the start. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the town, and the hotel grounds are gorgeous.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and special at all times. We stayed in a partial sea view room and we were delighted with it. The balcony was a particular highlight with a great view over the garden and down to the sea.

We also ate at the hotel restaurant, which was superb and a meal we won’t soon forget.

The pool area was also great and we spent a lot of time there. Only note is that the pool is not heated! So a little cold in October.

The bar area was so pleasant for morning breakfast and evening drinks. Especially when they brought in a live band!

We would highly recommend the Palazzo Murat to anyone thinking of spending anytime in Positano!

Fabulous stay in this property. Our room was very spacious and cozy, with beautiful ceramic tiled floor and a terrace overlooking the lemons trees. Very beautiful grounds with an inviting terrace, perfect to sip an aperitif or enjoy the delicious breakfast. The location was ideal, it allowed easy and fast access to the beach area, same as shops and restaurants atop. Staff was truly on point, very polite and friendly. We absolutely loved this place and highly recommend it for a stay in Positano.

Italian Luxury Vacation!

Words cannot describe how incredible our stay was at Hotel Palazzo Murat. This hotel is a true oasis from the hustle and bustle right outside its doors. Every single employee was so kind and professional. We had the most amazing meal at the restaurant on site (Al Palazzo) it was our best meal on the amalfi cost!

The room was beyond stunning it seriously felt like we were in a dream. The pool grounds are fabulous and we enjoyed a couple days relaxing by the pool which was heaven! This hotel is Italian luxury and if it’s in the budget I cannot recommend it enough!! We actually only stayed two nights and went to stay at a more affordable hotel for the remainder of our trip but we’re kicking ourselves for not just staying at HPM the entire time!

Beautiful hotel with a nice pool and courtyard. One of the few hotels in Positano with a pool! Great location with restaurants, beach and shopping nearby. Nice breakfast and the restaurant in the hotel is great. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful stay and great staff

This place is not far from the port of Positano and easy to find, though you do have to go up the stairs past the church. The staff is very helpful and gave us a room upgrade partway through our stay. We moved from a room with practically no view to a room with a great view looking out towards the sea.

We loved the grounds which include a small garden and a pool. The breakfast on the patio was a great way to start the day. They had a large array of pastries and cheeses.

From the hotel you can easily go walk around Positano. The reception desk was very helpful as we made plans to walk the Path of the Gods and finding places to eat.

Not to be missed !! Fairy tale hotel

Fairytale hotel right in the centre of bustling Positano. The hotel surrounds are just breathtaking and the rooms are kept beautifully . The turn down service in the evening with lemon mints , bottled water & weather predictions for the following day were such lovely touches . The pool & views are wonderful! Breakfast both mornings, one inside due to weather and one outside were such memorable experiences . Loved every minute of this stay !! Couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough . Grazie Mille to all the staff , top class service.

This hotel is magic! We did a combination of staying in Airb&b, hotels and an Abbey throughout our tour of Italy. This hotel was an experience. Positano in itself is an experience but staying at Hotel Palazzo Murat took Positano to a different level. Breakfast is included which we didn’t know so make sure to take advantage of it bc it’s divine. The restaurant is easily one of the best I’ve ever been to in the world. We went to La Spoda at Le Sirenuse and the view was amazing but the food at HPM was much better in my opinion. Go to La Spoda for a drink but eat at Palazzo Murat. Also we went in earl April, which I would highly recommend to others. The rates are lower, there’s less congestion and the weather was ideal. Stay here if at least once in your life!

The Little Things

The hotel is located down in the pedestrian-only area of town so the hotel sent 2 porters to retriever our bags from the car park. The hotel grounds are very large, secluded, and quiet. The rooms are sizable and beautiful. We had an excellent stay. Housekeeping was especially attentive and friendly. We had a 7:00 AM check-out to catch an early flight so the hotel packed a breakfast for us to take with us without even asking.

An oasis in the heart of Positano.

This is a gorgeous hotel, perfectly located on the narrow street down to the harbour at Positano. The decor is bright, pretty and clean and the outside area is lush with foliage. Considering it's in the middle of Positano, the grounds and swimming pool are generous. Our room was spacious and bright, with a view to the famous church dome. There were lovely towels in the bathroom and good quality toiletries. We didn't eat in the restaurant but breakfast was varied and tasty. The staff service was great - everyone was pleasant and helpful. The only down for me was that the pillows were too hard but as we were only there for one night it wasn't an issue.
I would definitely come back here - it's lovely.

We loved it here.

We loved it here and were pleased with our decision to stay lower on the cliff close to the beach, rather than higher up. We were in the perfect spot at Palazzo Murat. Personally we felt the views from this hotel looking up at the cliffside were superior to those overlooking the water. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel is so unique and the rooms were spacious with a lovely balcony. Pool was great and had excellent service. The only slight complaint was that the brekkie each morning was the same every day. Although it was nice, it would have been nice to have a bit of variation as 7 mornings in a row of the same offering got a bit dull. We loved it here - would highly recommend and stay again.

Having not been to Positano before, we researched a lot of hotels and we are so pleased that we stayed at Hotel Palazzo Murat. The transfer from Sorrento was easy and the hotel had staff there to help immediately to assist with your bags. The Hotel staff was friendly and our room was large, comfortable with a nice view of both water and the town. The hotel location was close to good shopping, the beach and good restaurants. The breakfast in he morning was the perfect way to start the day, everything was fresh and sat under a canopy of lemon trees and greenery.

Stunning property

The property and staff were incredible. When you walk through the entry into the courtyard, you are blown away by the beauty. We were welcomed by the most friendly staff who took care of every detail of our stay from restaurant bookings and to recommendations.

I also appreciated before arriving, I received an email that let me know where to park and the extra costs. It was evident they wanted your arrival to be as seamless as possible with no surprises or confusion.

The location is a nice central spot with quick access to the beach and central shopping corridor.

The restaurant \"Al Palazzo\" was beautiful, but the least favorite of all the restaurants we dined at for dinner over the course of our stay; however, it was a lovely start to the day for breakfast.

Palazzo Murat is a top notch hotel. Surroundings and gardens are beautiful, flowers everywhere, lovely pool area, close proximity to waterfront. Lovely and well appointed rooms, many with terraces. Ideal place to stay as it is convenient to shopping, restaurants, the beach and ferries, the bus stops, etc. Staff were very helpful. Room was spacious and clean. It doesn't have the views of other hotels but the advantages offset this by far.

A stunning small hotel in a great location close to shops and beach with a lovely garden. Staff were wonderfully efficient and friendly. The swimming pool wasn't open which was a little disappointing and we would have eaten more in the hotel if the food was less fussy and more varied. Overall it was a very relaxing break and would definitely return.

We loved this hotel, a former palace. The room was beautiful and comfortable. We had a balcony that overlooked the property, the canyon, the church (which is about the only landmark in town), and the sea. We felt absolutely pampered and privileged.

It's very well located. Special parking and luggage transportation to your room are key in Positano. The old style maintains the charm but the interior is refreshed and everything worked fine. The staff is extremely helpful.
