I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Teresa! It's a beautiful property with well appointed rooms including a mini fridge, hair dryer, fresh sheets and towels every 2 days and a lovely patio! The breakfast in the mornings was a nice addition as well. Overall, the location is close to restaurants that offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a convenient bodega store nearby to grab wine and snacks to go. The beach and city center is only a 10 min walk. Yes there are stairs, however you cannot avoid this. No matter where you stay in Positano, you will encounter stairs. I highly suggest to ask the property manager to reserve a porter to carry your suitcases to make the journey easier when you arrive and leave.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Casa Teresa in Positano. The location was perfect, set high enough to offer breathtaking views of the sea and colorful cliffside homes, yet close enough to explore the town easily. The rooms were charming and comfortable, with traditional décor that felt warm and welcoming. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight—fresh pastries, fruit, and coffee with stunning views of the Amalfi Coast. The hosts were kind and attentive, making me feel right at home. Casa Teresa was the perfect mix of comfort, authenticity, and beauty. It was an unforgettable Positano experience.

Lovely room with a view, but lots of steps.

A beautiful room with separate lounge space, big bathroom and a nice terrace. It is a long way up from the ferry port and we used the porter sercvice to take our luggage up which is a must. There are a lot of flights of steps to reach this accommodation. The breakfast was good but, if it is raining then you are not able to take breakfast at the accommodation (they do give you a voucher to go to a local restaurant but you still have to pay 10€pp). Overall a lovely stay and would recommend.

We loved our stay at Casa Teresa. Although it is a walk from the beach (don't bring a roller bag!!), the result is great views, a quieter neighborhood, and quick access to Fornillo Beach (a much quieter beach). The breakfast was a great start to the day. We would absolutely stay here again!

The property is very nice and Hotel Casa Teresa has gorgeous rooms. We thought it was great location to walk Positano to town or down to the water front. Both routes take you on beautiful views with picturesque backgrounds that will provide long lasting memories.

There is no one to help and you are being told what to do. You are met with Mr. E at check in to get a key to room and collect city tax. For all other services you are on your own. The fact that the housekeeper works with her very young daughter is unusual, but what is unacceptable is for the housekeeper to yell at you when asked can we leave bags ‘SPEAK ITALIAN, YOU ARE IN ITALY’ was a step to far! There are really plenty of options around this property, so do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!

We recommend staying at Casa Teresa. Our room was a very good size, it was quiet and had everything we needed. The included breakfast was great and set us up nicely for our day and you needed the energy for the steps. We do recommend hiring a porter for your luggage up, but we managed nicely getting back down to the port without having to use one. Thank you Hotel Casa Teresa, we had a lovely (though too short) stay with you and can’t wait to return one day.

It was an amazing stay! I went on a mother daughter trip and my mother is deaf and had gotten lost one of the days. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating and willing to help. The premises were beautiful and well kept. Breakfast on the terrace with a view is unmatched. Great stay for great value! Absolutely would stay again. Nothing wrong with the physical place or the staff but it was proposed as a convenient location “ steps from the. Birch and the beach” it is located half way uptown good 30 minutes walk to downtown positano , over 200 steps to the smaller beach ( Fornillo) … overall not worh the price for the distance . Positano is not for people out of shape . You walk a lot you climb many steps and you do that under the sun and when it’s hot … I think these thing should be more precise in Expedia . I would have not reserved this hotel room just because it was inconvenient

This is a beautiful old hotel that is quiet and very unique in design much like the town. There are a lot of stairs. A porter service is recommended. Restaurants, shopping and the town center are in walking distance but it requires steps and some uphill. The breakfast was good. Only problem was it was not served until later in am if you are going out for day trip.

We loved our stay at Casa Teresa! The breakfast was delicious, and was set on a beautiful terrace with a beautiful view of Positano. The owners were very welcoming and responsive to anything we needed or had questions about. We would definitely stay here again!

Cons: Major ant infestation issue (need to hire an exterminator; we were advised to eat on the terrace to prevent more ants from entering our room), mini fridge not cleaned recently (filled with mold in the freezer compartment), lightbulbs needed replacement, grout missing/falling out in shower, no blackout curtains, lack of bedding (only a quilt and top sheet), no where to hang shower towels, furniture missing handles, toilet partial flush broken and only the full flush was working.

Pros: breakfast was ok with a nice view.

Casa Teresa is very hard to find and there are many many steps. There are several hotels in the same area next to each other. Very confusing. Room was nice with a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was plentiful. Hotel is a long uphill trip not close to town. We paid porters to bring our luggage.Enzo was very helpful .

Accommodations were ok , we thought from the pics that we would have more space being that we were a family of 5 but it was tight . Also sofa bed was very uncomfortable for the 2 of us . We gave the kids the beds since they didn’t want to be separated . View from hotel was beautiful

Lovely stay for rustic charm

Lovely stay in Positano. It's a family run business so it definitely has a rustic charm, but it's not the most accessible from town, it's about a 20 minute walk. Our green room was beautiful though, even if the bed isn't the most comfortable (but if you like a firm mattress you will be happy). The decor in the room was fantastic, just as advertised in the photos, and eating breakfast outside in the morning air and the views of Positano and partially of the ocean was just *chefs kiss.* Check in and check out was pretty slow, but since it's a family run business, that was kind of expected.

Great property, friendly host, nice to have breakfast included especially in the off season when not many restaurants are open. The only complaint is that the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Also the GPS takes you a terrible stair filled way to Casa Teresa when it is much easier to go up the stairs in the middle of the beach and go up that way.

The bed was extremely hard & uncomfortable to sleep on. The bathroom piping gave iff a sewerage smell….. very bad And the hanges in the closet where used & looked love garbage. Very disappointing.

This is a great family run business! The breakfast is great. They are always there to help you.

The rooms are a bit scattered around but that is normal in an area like this. The room was really large, good dinning options nearby as well, one of the best pizza places.

The walk to the town going down was great, a quick 10 minutes. The walk coming back up was not so great but it’s nice being in this area as you get beautiful scenic views of the city, especially at night.

Amazing views and perfect location. Walk down to center was not too bad. If you are planning on coming from the ferry with luggage use the porter service if you get a driver they drop you off pretty close to the hotel. Still somewhat difficult with luggage but manageable.

Exceeded expectations! The property had incredible views of the Positano landscape. It’s centrally located with restaurants and shops close by. Our room was spacious and had a balcony. The place is OK. Not like the pictures. Rooms are clean.The mattresses not good quality. Before booking it wasn’t disclosed the extreme amount of steps to get there, had I known that I would have booked something on the main road so it wouldn’t be as exhausting to get there. The place is nice but it looks that it has seen better days. Abandoned ladder next to the room, missing furniture from pictures, exterior paint, breakfast set up, the furniture and breakfast area look pretty worn down and so does the staff. They are tired , they would talk about it when we had breakfast. They also charged me for water we didn’t drink, little things like that. No, I would not stay here again and I loved Positano!

We had a wonderful time at Casa Teresa. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The decor was cute and we liked that we had a patio with a nice view. We could easily access the main road. Staff was friendly, breakfast was similar to a continental breakfast in the USA. The hot water in the shower didn’t always work but it was so hot outside, we didn’t mind. We would definitely stay there again.

Such a wonderful place to stay. Enzo was the most helpful person. Our flight got delayed and we missed our first night got in the next day and decided to stay an extra night so we could enjoy the amalfi coast ravello blue grotto, and isle of capri. We wouldn’t have been able to get it all in without an extra day. Enzo made that happen a wonderful experience for sure. But those stairs are something else

They didn’t cover the parking and we pay €50 per day .you need to pay €15 for lift each luggage 350 steps to the gate when you arrive and when you leave. My sister asked for a little olive oil at breakfast in the country of olive oil and they didn’t bring they said no. The owners are not so nice with the guests. Positano is one of the most beautiful places in Italy . Next time we will choose another place more kind for sure.

The room was okay it was old fashioned and it looks a lot like the Positano vibes with the lemons and unique designs. My partner absolutely loved this place he’s more into the old fashioned vibes and I like more modern stuff. The staff here is incredible! They will help you with anything, especially enzo.

Property was very cute and cozy, with a nice view of the other side of positano ( not the main centre ) . It involved a lot of stairs from the port , with no offering of luggage service delivery . We carried our luggage for a long time before we got there without much guidance beforehand .

Room was cute breakfast was nice but could have better services for guests such as luggage pickup with communication prior to arrival .

Very nice small hotel with a great staff

It is a very cute hotel and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the patio was delightful. It is a walk from the ferry - about 25 minutes uphill so if I was to do it again I would have paid the 15euros to have our luggage brought up (even though it was just carryon).

Well located -/ Positano has stairs. Lots of them. Be in shape. The owner will make arrangements. Pro tip: use the porter service @ 15€ per bag to go from port to hotel. The little wheels on luggage is useless. Property was cool, comfortable and near restaurants. Easy walk down to the main town square. In room mini bar is a bargain.

This is a beautiful hotel with very large rooms and a large balcony. We could sit outside to eat breakfast and see the view of Positano. The breakfast is wonderful and there is a kettle to make tea and coffee in your room. About 15 minutes walk from the bus stop, but everywhere in Positano is a walk.

This property is amazing! Only a few steps down the main road with plenty of restaurants walking distance. Had a lot of fun exploring around Positano. Enzo and his team took amazing care of us from start to finish, even helping us find medical care for an emergency which we were extremely grateful for. Would definitely come back and would recommend a thousand percent!
