We had an amazing stay here! The location is perfect - so close to the beach with balconies that overlook the water and the courtyard of the famous church. The rooms are adorable, the bathrooms are great and the staff is so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property in the middle of Positano, if you have a patio you can people watch and see the church nearby. Lovely private garden where you can relax or eat away from the crowds. Close to the port where ferries stop. Very friendly staff, helpful. Clean, modern rooms nearshopping, beach and restaurants. It was a little noisy at night and the room was hot, we couldn't get the AC to work properly but there was a nice breeze from the ocean. The TV was also almost impossible to figure out, don't bother and just look at the view!!

Beautiful. Hotel is set right in the lower center of Positano, just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by shops. Yet it's set off the path by a courtyard which kept the setting quiet and peaceful. The staff were excellent. The bed and room were very comfortable. The location was the best part. So accessible to everything. The only thing to note is that the hotel is on a road that is pedestrian only, so you have a short walk w your luggage to the hotel entrance. There are also 2 or 3 big steps up from the road into the courtyard, so that may be a bit difficult if you have mobility restrictions.

Absolutely charming hotel. Darling rooms and decor. You can’t beat the view. We had a two bedroom, where one of the bedrooms had a small kitchenette. The balcony was enormous. You also can’t beat the location, right by the Church in the main part of Positano, so we didn’t have to deal w/ so many stairs. And the staff was friendly and welcoming. This is quite possibly the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at, spotless. Shower had great water pressure, too. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our favorite hotel we stayed at throughout our trip to Italy. It was on the closer end to the coast which was great because its a steep walk up to most other hotels. The decor is Mediterranean style white and blue which adds a charm. Room was clean and the shower was good size. The view from the balcony was amazing! We sat out and drank coffee during the mornings.

We had an amazing time staying in the hotel. A functioning kitchenette is a plus. It’s centrally located so it’s so much easier to roam around. It would’ve been perfect if our room had sea view nevertheless we had a good sleep!

Our family of four spent the weekend here, and loved it. The staff went above and beyond for us, making all our reservations, organizing transportation when needed, and answered any and all questions/ emails almost immediately. Although you the view is not of the beautiful mountainside, you have a great view of the sea. The location could not be more perfect. You’re centrally located to everything in town, and the beach. We had a 3 and 7 year old with us, and they had no problem walking to everything from the hotel. The only downfall, they did not have breakfast, but there was a cafe just around the corner from them. If we make it back to Positano, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I absolutely adored this property, It made me fall in love with Positano. we had the top floor room with the beautiful patio, deck and sunroom. The people were so kind and made sure we had everything we needed and made sure any transportation we needed was taken care of.

What an absolute amazing place to stay. Incredible view over the water and awesome location. We stayed in room 21 - seemed to be the largest of the second floor rooms. Staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much bother. Great restaurants within 5 minute walk.

We were very well received here. Convenient location, with view over the piazza in front of the church and view of the sea. Comfortable room. Balcony with view. Well lit and spacious bathroom. Kitchenette facilities sufficient to prepare oatmeal porridge breakfast and with a fridge (useful!). If you don't mind a little noise from late night revelers (easily remedied by closing the windows and shutters at night) Villa Flavio Gioia is all you would wish for! A lovely and comfortable place to spend some pleasant and memorable days in Positano.

We stayed 10 nights at Villa Flavio Gioia and we loved it. Perfect location with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Our room was great with a water view balcony that we had our dinner on (I am sure to the envy of all the on lookers); we even witnessed a wedding at the church in front of the hotel. It was surprisingly quiet (double glass sliding doors). Customer Service was outstanding - when we arrived our safe was not working, which they replaced in a matter of minutes. There was even a lovely little kitchenette with everything you need to do some basic cooking (but there are loads of restaurants very close). Everyone was super friendly, especially Bernadetta and Christiana at the front desk were the loveliest. We cannot wait to visit the charming Positano again and will definitely stay at Villa Flavio.

We loved our stay at Villa Flavio Gioia. The front desk was very helpful when we had any questions. If you want to be close to everything then this is the place to stay. So happy we chose to stay here instead of up the hill. When I would look out from my balcony I just knew all those other tourists were jealous of where we were staying!!

It was very central to everything. Easy walk to the beach and bus stops. Our room was great with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The bedrooms were very quiet even though we were in the middle of town. We even made pasta one afternoon in our little kitchen. Our room overlooked the church square and we even got to see 2 weddings. It’s just the type of apartment that real Italian people probably have. The staff was helpful with anything and everything. Be warned - there is no car access to the hotel so you’ll need to be able to role your luggage down to the hotel. You can also hire porters to carry your bags for about 20 Euros per bag. All in all, a magical stay!

The large terrace and sea view was amazing. Plus the close proximity to the beach and town centre was convenient and appreciated considering the many steps other properties required throughout Positano. The tranquil garden terrace at the entrance provided a quiet escape from the busy town and the staff were always pleasant and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Villa Flavio Gioia was located in an exceptional location with only a few minutes walk from the beach. The room was spacious and clean whilst providing an ocean view from our balcony.
The wifi was sufficient whilst genera mobile reception was lacking due to the position in the city.
The staff were friendly and assisted when needed.
I would definitely return to Flavio Gioia in the near future!

Great location as we could catch the ferry from Amalfi and walk up the path to this hotel. Yes.....there are some steps. Room was clean and well presented, spacious bathroom and a lovely courtyard for guests that overlooks the water. Found it a little noisy at night. Staff were helpful.

Location is perfect and in the heart of Positano. It is close to the beach and other attractions. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. The only thing to note is that there are various different room options and basic(economy) double bed room is quite small for two people. In retrospect, we should have opted for a different bigger room. Something else to note is that the AC is controlled centrally so either the entire hotel has heat or entire hotel has AC depending on the time of the year.

What a wonderful place! Right in the centre of the shops with easy access via taxi or boat. We had a room with a balcony and view of the church and beach which was lovely.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the room offers everything you need. Breakfast is not offered however this is not necessary as there are many options outside the door. Totally recommend - a brilliant find!

Christian, the owner was very helpful and has a beautiful facility, but one of the girls there at the front desk was not as approachable and always seemed to have a sarcastic demeanor.. Overall a great little place in positano and a great location with a nice balcony.
