Beautiful property, attentive staff and a great restaurant/bar. The view from the restaurant is incredible- but the “price” of the view is a VERY steep climb. Definitely note that reaching the hotel isn’t easy and involves a pretty steep climb (though that’s common for Positano). This wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be a huge issue for families with small kids or for anyone who wasn’t physically able to tackle A LOT of steep, uneven stairs every time they wanted to come or go from the hotel. The hotel’s location, also, required a 15-minute trek into town to visit the beaches, shops and restaurants. But overall we loved it and we’d happily stay there again on our next trip to Positano.

My stay at Conca d’ Oro was absolutely fascinating! The food and drinks were outstanding, with a variety that pleased every palate. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, and the entire place felt magical, offering a perfect blend of comfort and charm. Its location near one of the main bus stops made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area, and the stunning views from the property were truly breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious, setting the perfect tone for each day. Overall, a beautiful place that made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

This property is beautiful, clean, and modern. Everything was pristine. The staff were all friendly and excellent as well. The location was great for me because you weren’t too far from the Main Street and it is just a 12-15 minute was down the main road and down to where the port is. I will say- Expedia had our room wrong when we booked it. While booking, it said on the page the room had a private spa tub on the balcony however this was not the case when we arrived. We were told that wasn’t the room we booked. BUT, the hotel staff were so accommodating considering it was our last stop on our honeymoon. They put us in the room we had for the night but first thing in the morning once another room was empty and cleaned they moved us over to a room that had a spa tub inside ( not what we wanted but still was very nice) and they didn’t charge us more. The breakfast was also very good, coffee delicious! And we ordered room service - everything was very tasty. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!

When we first got to the property, we were in love with it. However, after we got settled in there were a few things that are simply unacceptable for the price we paid to stay here.

1. It smells of manure whilst having breakfast on the terrace, which is completely disgusting.

2. The shower consistently leaks all over the bathroom floor and into the bedroom. We constantly had towels on the floor to make sure we didn’t slip. There was a constant smell of mold in the room from this.

3. Considering we had spent over $5.5K AUD to stay here for the week, to be told that we need to pay to use an iron is simply ridiculous. It’s approximately $50 AUD to iron your clothes to wear to dinner.

4. The Wi-Fi does not work at all, which made organising bookings / reservations impossible.

5. Last but not least, and probably my worst of the lot… THE NOISE!!! We were constantly woken up to doors being slammed at all hours of the morning, staff vacuuming at 5am, elevators being run. I was woken up almost every night of my stay.

An amazing view of Positano, but you can get that anywhere. Wouldn’t recommend this place in the slightest.

Beautiful view and nice deck make up for small size of room. They booked us into a different hotel for the first night because they said they had a toilet issue in our room. The hotel they put us in was better and we would have preferred to stay there in hindsight. Even though they came and transported our bags it was a hassle to not be able to settle in. When we checked in it was clear they weren't going to do anything about that. No discount, no free appetizer or drink... nothing. And, then our toilet ran unless we \"jiggled the handle\" (pushed the button) and when we mentioned it to them, they just acted like they would fix it and it was no big deal.

Also, not very helpful with local trips or tips. We went to OneFire beach one day and asked help in resrvations and how the water taxi worked and basically ended up contacting them directly ourselves and made all the resrvations.

The bartenders and staff at breakfast were great. The manager and front desk staff, not so much.

We stayed for two nights when we arrived they asked for our passports. When we left they told us they did not have them and told us to check our luggage saying maybe we had misplaced them ourselves. They never returned our passports and we had to change our entire trip to go to Rome to the US embassy to get new passports. Unreliable, unprofessional and outrageous they were so careless with our important government documents. We were shocked and heartbroken to have to canceled the second half of our trip to detour to Rome. Very very upsetting. Wouldn’t take the chance and stay at this hotel again.

This is high up from the beach center but a 15-20 walk up and down steps. High up offers incredible view from this place which we were pleased because we had chosen a large balcony. Very friendly staff. Only complaint is the breakfast was a little disappointing for our room rate. Mostly cakes, sweets rather than larger heartier buffet. Would be nice to have eggs, bacon, pancakes/French toast and lots of fresh fruit, that type of thing. But we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

Don’t waste your money

We enjoyed Positano but don’t be fooled by this place, overall it would’ve been decent if the place wasn’t infested with ants and flys. Be warned the hotel is on a step hill and there are many steps to get up to it.

We wanted to give this place a shot for our honeymoon as location wise it was great but on day 2 our bedding had an infestation of ants, on day 3 ants were all over the patio, on day 4 fruit flys in the bathroom. During our stay fruit flys pillaged the breakfast area and hallway as well. I have videos and pictures of this all and it’s not acceptable especially for what they charge. We tried to dispute some of the charges and the hotel stated since “they changed the bedding immediately” they didn’t feel they needed to offer any type of reimbursement. While yes they changed the sheets I think they could’ve provided some type of refund as a customer I shouldn’t have to stay somewhere with bugs bottom line. Zoom into the pic to see ants on the bed which was oh so romantic :)

This was a lovely hotel. The room was beautiful, with a gorgeous view from the balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They arranged for our luggage to be taken directly down to the port for our ferry out in the afternoon, so we could walk around and enjoy the town post check-out. The location was a little tough to get to, up several small stairways, so I recommend calling to have a porter carry your bags in. It is not a place for those with trouble walking. We ate at the hotel restaurant and were very pleased with both the free breakfast, and the paid dinner. The service was great, and the craft cocktails were fun. One thing that I didn't like: the shower in the bathroom had an overhead, a handheld, and wall nozzles that sprayed horizontally. All good except that the wall nozzles faced the door, which had a cm space between it and the wall. They were unusable without spraying the rest of the bathroom. Also, the bathroom and balcony doors were a bit warped. Minor details. All else was great. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We were very pleased.

Most of the staff were very pleasant but some seemed a bit tired of tourists. It's located at an upper portion of town which required a fair amount of walking but everything in this town requires a lot of walking.
What we did not like about the hotel was the poor internet, make shift bath tub and the fact that it was very loud. Overall way too much money for what it offers. We wouldn't go back.

I really thought this was a great hotel. Loved the staff, views and terrace. The thing that put a damper on this hotel was that they dried all of our clothes after we specifically asked them to hang dry. We spoke with 2 different people at the front desk and they assured us they would not be thrown in a drier. They even wrote instructions on the laundry bag. But sure enough, they dried them and now half of our clothes shrunk. This was still the first part of our trip, so now we are traveling with clothes we are unable to wear. All they had to say was that no, they cannot hang and we would have been happy to hang on our balcony or room. Very disappointed, however, as long as you dont need laundry done, this hotel is great.

Ruined my experience in Positano! I want my money back!

My wife and I went there because we were celebrating our honeymoon.

We arrived around 6:00 pm. Supposedly parking was included, so we parked the car in \"Parcheggio Milano\", the \"hotel parking\".

When we got to the room, I couldn't find my phone. We started looking everywhere and just could not find it. I went down to the front desk and when I asked the lady in charge about it, she got upset. I started feeling uneasy.

My wife was really upset because she was not able to find it. We went down to the parking lot and the \"manager\" helped us look and couldn't find it either.

We went back to the room to search for it one last time and it did not turn up. My wife went to the front desk and asked the lady about it and she started insinuating that it was our fault and had lost it in a bar.

My wife told the lady that either the phone was turning up or we would call the police. My wife started calling the police and the lady called the guy in the parking lot.

Magically, the phone appeared. I speak four languages and understand Italian. The lady told him \"leave the phone in the car, they found out\".

We felt insecure all night and had to stay there because it was our only option.

The next day when checking out, we went to the parking and were told it was 25€. They told us it was included originally!

Clearly they hotel and the parking lot work together to rip people off! Worst stay of my life!! I want my money back!!

Amazing property with a great view and awesome service in all they do. The hotel restaurant provided superb food and the wait staff was very attentive. But the best employee that they have is the porter who will carry all your bags up the 100 steps to your the front door and then while you’re receiving the tour of the property, he carries them to your room and all with a honest smile.

Awesome place, awesome town!

Amazing hotel, with a great view. Our time in the hotel was nearly perfect, from the arrival champagne, to the help booking tours. The only thing you need to be aware of, is that this hotel is about 35 flights of stairs up from the beach. We're young and in good shape, but my goodness it's a lot of flights. Plan your arrival accordingly, as we carried suitcases up all those stairs. Once you are there though, it's fantastic. Highly recommend.

We were greeted upon arrival with smiles and a tray of ice water after making the climb up from the main dock.
The staff is what makes this hotel shine; very professional, kind and eager to please. The overall condition of the hotel is lacking but the views, food and staff make up for it. The jacuzzi was broken for our entire stay. It would have been nice to enjoy it along with the views which are spectacular!
Some advice for staying here... grab a porter at the dock , they wear blue shirts typically and will take your larger suitcases up to the front desk for 10 euro each. Trust me, it’s well worth it. It’s over 100 steps up from the road IF you take the bus. Using a porter will save you time and a ton of energy. We saw several people trying to make it up the hill and then all the steps on their own and they looked miserable. Just a thought!

You must be a billy goat to climb the 150 steps to the hotel. Once there the staff was very pleasant and helpful except for the manager who was less accommodating or flexible. The rooms on the 1st floor are much less desirable than the 4th floor as they have better views and a balcony to sit. The food was outstanding. A hotel in the middle or lower levels of the mountain might be more appealing to some.

The view was amazing! The steps up to the property were significant but porters carried our luggage up and down. Prosecco delivered to our room upon arrival was a nice touch! The staff were helpful and friendly! Our room was spotless but our tub/shower door leaked significantly every day. The food was delicious and the service attentive. The pool is really no larger than a hot tub. I would return to Conca D'oro! Special mention of MariaTeresa--so helpful, friendly and funny!! She recognized us out at a restaurant and took photos for us:) I would defininitely return to Positano and Conca D'oro!!

Nice staff, but odd arrangement in the Villas

Staff was incredible! We were placed on the Villa, which was not a part of the main hotel building. To get to reception, the sun desk and breakfast, it was 6 flights of stairs. What we disliked more was that the walls between the rooms in the Villas were very thin. All neighboring room conversations could be heard in all areas of our room. We also were not sure, but think the bottom most floor includes residents (not hotel guests), who had two dogs that would bark anytime a guest walked into the complex. Overall for a serene location like Positano, between barking dogs downstairs and neighbor conversations at 2am, it was not as reading a stay as we hoped.

This place is gorgeous! It is in a good location where you can choose to follow the main road down to restaurants and the main beach, or if you're feeling up for some stairs there is a more direct route with stairs. It is away enough from the beach that the restaurant is more reasonably priced - with delicious food! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the private balconies from the rooms provides a perfect spot for some late night wine with an amazing few! had a great stay!

This hotel was the highlight of our trip. The facilities and the view were amazing but more importantly the people are some of the most welcoming and thoughtful souls we have ever met in our travels. Iberian airlines lost all of our luggage for a family of six and everyone at the hotel went out of their way to help us. The restaurant is absolutely divine and the wait staff, service personnel, and bartenders are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond with every single detail. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will always return when we are near Positano. What a special place!!!!

The hotel was nice, clean, and a good distance from Positano Beach. Staff was helpful and kind. However, the pictures made it look as if there was a pool. In reality, there is a very small \"spa tub\" that wasn't really worth spending the day enjoying.

Love the Conca D'Oro

Amazing room, views, restaurants, and staff!! The only thing (that can't be helped) is the 107 stairs to climb to get to the front entrance. A pretty intense workout!!

The staff was extremely helpful and super sweet. Hotel is a little far so be prepared to walk (a lot), take bus or pay expensive taxis. Views are nice. Included breakfast was good. Very nice hotel but not quite 5 stars to me. Again, the staff was great.

Fantastic stay!!!

Very friendly staff and thoughtful. We got to the hotel after walking and climbing stairs with our luggages for about 1/2 hr. They offered us water right the way without us asking. And quickly showed us the room and asked the porter to take luggage’s up to the room.

Awesome hotel with great service. Please note it is a jacuzzi that fits about 5 ppl comfortable and there are 608 steps to the beach up and down.

The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful and courteous. Our room had a balcony with beautiful views of Positano. The one negative aspect of the hotel is that it is quite a hike from the center of town, but I believe the views are better because of it.

Amazing Service, Food and Views Great Hotel

Every member of staff was just so helpful, the service was the best. The food in the restaurant was SO GOOD, you must have the melted chocolate cake. The views over the bay are just breathtaking. We just loved all the colorful tile in the hotel and it was very well kept and very clean. We would defiantly stay again if we are lucky enough to visit Positano again

Positano and Conca D’Oro

Conca D’Oro is an excellent hotel...It should be a 5 Star hotel. Upon entering you are greeted with a smile and a bottle of Prosecco. The location is fantastic for the views of Positano and the Coast. The attention to detail was beyond what I expected. Carrying your luggage is not necessary. Someone will walk them up the stairs for you...whether you have one bag or twenty bags....And they will bring your bags down when you leave. Now that is service. The entire team of employees were welcoming and ready to assist in any way possible. I was very impressed. I have stayed at many hotels in Europe and this hotel is tops.
Unfortunately it rained during our entire stay but the entire hotel team was there to help find alternative tourist excursions for all the guests. The walk to the center of town was about a 10 minute walk....definitely doable for most people. After a big dinner the walk back to the hotel was good...walk off some of that pasta and limoncello drinks.
Breakfast was delicious with many different options but if you wanted something different t they would accommodate ...it would cost a little extra. Dinner service was also very good with a variety of choices and seating was with beautiful views of the town and the Mediterranean Sea.
The rooms were very nice and extremely clean and the beds also very comfortable. I would definitely without any hesitation whatsoever stay at the same hotel...I just hope next time will will have the privilege of experiencing the sun.
