Upon arrival, I was told there no 2 single bed rooms left (despite it being booked under the reservation) and there none available until the next day.

Until magically there was a room available with 2 single beds which is what I paid for in the beginning, not sure why it wasn't available from the start...

Breakfast options were poor, with Luke warm boiled eggs, some bread and Luke warm yogurts for options, so I would not advise getting the breakfast added on to your booking if you're thinking about it.

Only one plug in the room available, a shower with no shower curtain.
Small room with small storage but that's ok if your only staying a weekend.

NOT a 4 Star Hotel.

Firstly i will point out that we stayed in room 502, which was a tiny twin room.

Location wise this hotel was perfect, 5 mins from Termini station with restaurants and shops in the surrounding streets.....also within 2-30 mins walking distance of a lot of Rome's main attractions. We used the tube to get back from Vatican City to Termini, so everything is accessible.

The hotel is also in the middle of the Embassy District so the streets are clean, tidy and feel very safe.

Breakfast was good, enough choice and constantly replenished so nice and fresh.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and it served it's purpose but we expected more. This is NOT a 4 Star Hotel!

The negative points are as follows:

The room was tiny, we pushed the beds into the walls as can be seen on the picture so we could move around.

No headboards, and as can be seen this must have originally been fitted out for a double bed as the sockets for the lights were above the pillows. However these were not usable sockets.

The only usable sockets were right next to the sink (not a fan of electrics so close to water) and in the door entrance - these are both highlighted in blue on the photo.

The biggest negative was the bathroom. You need the dexterity of a mountain goat to get out of the shower (no shower curtain/screen) with only a few inches gap. The bath is an old enamel bath so slippy when wet. The room had a drain in the middle, which is probably the source of the smell!

Overall disappointing.

Perfectly acceptable hotel for a short stay in Rome. Room was clean, if a little dated and the walls were quite thin. However, as a base for exploring it was ideal and we never spent much time in the room anyway. The hotel is only a short walk from Castro Pretorio metro station so getting about was great. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good, with plenty of options.

Noise! Constant noise. The rooms need sound proofing. First night I waited an hour before confronting and adult who was in charge of a group of students who made so much noise for over an hour that my wife was crying. Then Itge building across the road seemed to have some building work that started at midnight!
The second night the guy in the room next door had a telephone conversation for an hour which I could hear every word from 2am! Staff were ok, but disinterested generally. Hotel was clean, but one of the lifts didn't work for the 3 days we were there and the sign looked as though it had been up for a while.
Hairdryer in our room didn't work, but happily it was fixed the same day, kudos for that. It's situated a few minutes walk from Roma Termini which is convenient, and we can thoroughly recommend the pizzeria ristorante Andrea just a few minutes walk away.
Overall poor, but mainly because of disrupted sleep.

For the same money you can probably find somewhere nicer.
The hotel is run down and in need of a lot of work.

Good things: location was good for Roma Central Station, bed was comfortable, room was a decent size, staff were friendly.

Not so good: the hotel is run down, the curtains didn't close so you're awake with the sun, the room smelt, the air con worked but the markings were worn off so it was hard to control, you can hear every bodily function of neighbouring rooms, the door was flimsy and I suspect easy to just push open, there's no shower curtain so everything gets wet, the hot water takes a long time to arrive, there were burn holes in the blanket and the tiny lift gets a workout in busy periods, the other lift looks like it's been broken a long time.

I would not stay here again.

The worst hotel experience ever!

Terrible, terrible, terrible. This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The room was shockingly small — barely enough space to walk around, let alone store luggage. The washroom setup was insane: no shower curtain, so every shower turned the bathroom into a soaked mess. Water would pool on the floor outside the tub, creating a constant slipping hazard.

The toilet and vanity layout made no sense, completely awkward and uncomfortable to use. To top it all off, the amenities smelled awful.

I can’t stress this enough: do not stay here. It’s uncomfortable, impractical, and poorly maintained. A total disappointment.

The hotel is nice and simple. We got free breakfast, though it was more or less the same for the 3 days, no complaints about it. Plenty of food to have before getting your day started. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel is at a walkable distance to Roma Termi, there are enough travel options to get you around the city with a 5-10 minute walk towards bus stops.
Overall, for the price we paid, felt like a good deal.

The people at the desk were always so friend helpful. We arrived before checking around 1130a and they were able to check us in at noon since our room was ready.
My son bought a toy that needed a small screw driver to open and they were able to help by lending a small screw driver to open it to put batteries in. Then when I didn’t have a 3 prong adapter, just a two prong the desk attendant suggested the mini market.
The room was quite small but fine for the two of us. There was an elevator at the facility and buffet breakfast every morning with fresh fruits, pastries and many other selections. It really helped start our day with breakfast being included.
No real issues with the room itself, though we did find 4 scavenger ants in the bathroom one day.

The location was amazing. A mini market two blocks away, 3-4 restaurants we patronized that had great food and varieties. The train station was 7 minute walk and the Mercado centrale was right next door to the train station. The train station being so close was an amazing plus since we used it everyday to get to our destination.
Overall I would recommend this place and come back in the future.

We lost power for an hour on Wednesday so I couldn’t work during that time, and decided to get ready for dinner. I left for dinner a couple hours later and returned to the hotel wanting to shower and go to sleep. Unfortunately there was no water available in my room or anywhere else in the hotel. So I did not sleep very well having travelled all the previous day without the ability to shower. Very disappointing.

It was a fine place to sleep for 2 nights for the price. Very tiny room, hardly any room to move around the bed. Our do not disturb sign was on the door the entire time as we just didn’t want anyone in the room during our stay and housekeeping was in the hall when I left the first morning and asked if we wanted it cleaned, I said no thank you. Later I come back to it cleaned and our stuff moved which was unsettling. Housekeeping was still in the hall and so I went back out and pointed to the do not disturb sign on the door and mentioned that I said no thank you to cleaning. The 2 guys laughed it off like I was kidding. Just weird. Wouldn’t stay again but was fine for what we needed it for - sleeping.

Even though it is listed as a 4-star hotel it is not, it should be listed as a 2-star, the rooms are old and have barely what you need. The shower does not have anything to prevent the water from coming out so it makes a total mess. The room is not isolated properly therefore you can hear everything that is going on in the hallway and can even think someone is trying to open your door when in reality is the person from the room next door, we learned this the bad way, no one told us. We requested 1 full bed and got 2 twin beds. Plus, when we asked for an iron they told us they didn’t have any.

Good location near the Roma Termini train station so we were able to walk with our luggage (about 10min). Bus stops near the hotel that get you to main attractions in about 20 min otherwise you can walk they are about a mile away. Rooms are nice but outdated. Shower was small but it was clean. They had housekeeping each day. Not that noisy except you can hear each time your neighbor uses the keys to their room and it sounds like it’s coming into your room. Over good for what you pay.

The hotel is on a safe, quiet street and has a beautiful entryway and staircase. There are some great restaurants within a block. The rooms are small, but this was ok for us as we spent all day exploring and only came back to sleep. The beds are comfortable, with clean white linens and a light blanket which was perfect for the first week of June. The pillows were pretty flat so I was happy to have my little temperpedic travel pillow. The windows were large and opened to a nice view of the surrounding city and to spy the lives of the seagulls and Indian ringneck parrots building there nests in palms across the street. There are outdoor shutters which can be closed to block the light of the hotel sign that shown into our window. Nice for subtle light, but too green to sleep with. The downsides are as follows: the room smelled a little of air freshener, though this aired out when we opened the windows for a while. There was a slight smell in the hallway, and in the room itself, of must. We had to take an allergy pill the second night and this helped.
A safety issue: low rail outside the unscreened window. It is not high enough to keep a child safe if they accidentally leaned over too far or climbed to look over.
Also, when the windows are open, flies & moths fly in and out.
While the hotel met our basic needs and is in a great spot, I willopt to try another hotel next time and book farther ahead to get a more reasonable rate.

The property was hard to get to on foot because the sidewalks are so broken and the cars park ON the sidewalk. The restaurants near by are crazy expensive. The hotel staff were all nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING and made my entire visit so much better! The two major issue i had was the wifi router did not reach my room so when I entered. I would lose signal. My room was also in the back corner of what looked like a maintenance halway and thats what the cleaning staff used it for too. I always had trouvle getting to my room because there was always someone leaving a laundry bin or vacuum or both there. As a disabled person with walking aids, i need all the space I can to get through a halway. Oh and they ask you to leave your key at the desk whenyou leave for the day. Weird, but ok. Just doesnt feel very secure and you can't really avoid it because they key ring is basically a 1lb barbell.

This place is “4” star hotel. However deserve prob max 2, fist of all we booked standard room but they gave us looks like economy . Room is really small prob 8*8ft
Only good thing is they have AC that is working. tv not working , they don’t have iron in hotel, They don’t have drinking water in hotel ( only at breakfast). During our stay there was many kids in hotel and they been so loud , specially at 7am ( when breakfast starts) - slamming doors , screaming , adults with them loud as well.

Old with cracked tiles, broken furniture that looked like it stepped out of the 1970s, a barely working fridge, no in room coffee making. I booked this hotel and arriving day stuff told me they move me to other sister location near by ( it was a 7 min walk with a luggage ) no assistance or explanation was offered.
When I arrived to other location they gave a me room on 5 floor and temperature in room was 27 Chelcia, a/c was not working on whole hotel .fortunately they move me to second floor when was a little bit cooler in May outside was 80 degrees.
Have to sleep with opened windows and it’s was so noisy, crowded street was noisy till 2:30
Morning 4 AM street cleaning noice and trash pick up at 5 am make a lot of noise as well

For a quick 2 day trip to rome this was the perfect place for me! The room was small but for a solo traveler just needing a secure place to sleep this was great! On one occasion I arrived at around 5am after a night out of clubbing and I appreciated that the concierge checked to verify I was a guest of the hotel for security mesures! I would say I did feel a little uneasy about leaving my luggage in a closet accesible to all guests before my checkout and would have preferred the staff to handle that and make the room more secure to avoid other guests stealing things! Luckily that did not happen and everything went well !

Overall my stay was nice. The hotel is in a good location not that far from Central Station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel itself is pretty clean and for the most part quiet, although I did hear cleaning staff at 7AM a few mornings. Also, I heard a school group late at night. I thought the breakfast was nice. I arrived early but they did not allow me to check in early, which was a pain. If their cleaning crew starts at 7AM and check out is at 11 AM I don't know why I wasn't allowed to check in early. Overall I would recommend.

In a quiet street, 8 min from the train station and bus tours. Nearly many restaurants. Unfortunately, the mirror in between the twin beds was useless; a full mirror behind the door would have been a lot more practical and useful. The \"closets\" above each night table were high to reach the hangers, their bottom right at head level (I hurt my hands twice every time I lift my arms to pull the covers.

A 2 star hotel claiming to be a 4 star one. Worst breakfast ever, smallest room ever, dirtiest bed and worst customer service (except from the Reception). It’s just an example of a terrible 4 star expensive hotel. No resturant, no gym or any type of facilities. No lobby. No nothing. Just rooms poor breakfast room. No egg or any hot foods in the breakfast menu. Just cucumber, tomato, sweets, coffee machine, cornflakes, bread, honey and some other basic stuff. BE AWARE YOU ARE PAYING FOR A 2 STAR HOTEL.

This is a 1 or 2 star hotel , not 4 as advertised. Our room was ridiculously small, the sheets smelled and were torn, the shower was gross and too small to shower in. The walls were very dirty and damaged. The fridge did not work. It was a nightmare. Think hard and long before you before your book this place, you have been warned. It is much worse than comparably priced hotels and air bnbs despite its claims and pictures. Very disappointed.

The staff is very rude! they don' t even say good morning! or Good night! You walk by the front desk and they totally ignore you, you go to the breakfast room and they don't say good morning! They look like a group of robots ! And definitely the Reali Hotel Lux, is not a 4 STARS Hotel !!!!! Maximum a 2 stars. Good location and in calm and quiet street next to the Termini station, this is only the good side of this Hotel. Staff need a training, to treat better they guests ! Remember : we are the ones that pays your salaries!

The only thing that I like was the location. But terrible service, incredible the fact that they only have 4 hours of AC. Terrible property’s condition, not cleaning properly. I do not recommend this hotel.

Room was clean, bed was comfy but the showers were really small. It was really hot out and the air conditioning was not working. I asked the front desk to fix it and they ignored it and said it was working yet the room was above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Other than that little thing, my stay was pleasant.
