Amazing location. Very close to black sand beach. If staying more than 3 days, suggest renting a car to see all the sights and incredible sunsets.

We loved the Hippocampus for out 5 night stay. It's a well amenitied hotel with 2 beautiful pools and a 2 minute (or less) walk to the beach. It is also close to the bus stop for going to Thira/Oia. The staff (shout out to Elpida especially who clearly loves making her clients happy) is warm and very helpful. We upgraded our room to the maisonette, which is located ground level with a big porch and has 2 bedrooms (one upstairs) and a small living room. The hotel offers a nice breakfast buffet, robes, slippers, toiletries, and beach towels. The only thing we didn't appreciate was the sulphur smell that took a bit of getting used to. That being said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

Wonderful stay, lovely hotel and wonderful service. Room was lovely and very comfortable. All staff very helpful. Hotel ideal location as close to the beach , restaurants and bus stop. Fifteen minute walk to the open air cinema. We hired a car for 2 days and saw most of the island, but can do this also via bus if preferred . Would visit again and would recommend.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Hippo Campus hotel. We are a family of four and we stayed in the family studio. The hotel location was perfect. Supermarket and bars/restaurants just across the street( no noise) and the beach at the end of the street. The room and all of the hotel facilities were spotless. The breakfast was lovely and there was a great choice. We also had snacks from the bar. The staff were wonderful. The lovely lady on reception organised trips for us and booked taxi’s when we needed them. My son absolutely loved the pool. We will definitely return to this hotel again .

I don’t often write reviews but… from the moment we booked to the moment we left the staff couldn’t do enough for us! They arranged our transport as taxi costs are unpredictable, then met us on arrival and talked us through the area and things to do etc. not too in-depth just enough!
The hotel is extremely well kept, air conditioned, clean and a huge amount of pride shown by every staff member… the owner is about every day overseeing a wonderful operation 😊 Does the hotel have all the trimmings that huge all inclusive resorts may offer? No but… you have everything you need for this island, it’s bed and breakfast (the breakfast is small but enough variety trying to accommodate all; cereal, juice, Continental and cooked. Even pastries, toast teas and coffee) lovely pool area, pool bar, fridge & safe, tv in room plus separate shower area for those checking out late ⏰ it doesn’t pretend to be 5 star but what they do have is 5 star of what they try to offer! Shops, supermarkets, restaurants, beach, bars, quad hire etc. are all on the doorstep and I would highly recommend this facility 😎

This was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to spend two nights in Kamari. The location is perfect, right by the beach as well as lots of shops and restaurants. The staff was incredibly amazing, they let us keep our bags in the room since we had a really late flight on the day of our checkout. They also helped us find everything we needed including a place to do laundry. Genuinely such a nice place to stay.

Vi booket i utgangspunktet ett standard dobbeltrom for tre dagers Santorini opplevelse i Kamari, men hotellet og stedet var så fantastiak at vi forlenget vårt opphold ytterligere 5 dager. Vi oppgraderte da til deluxe rom, ett rom som virkelig anbefales. Airconditon i toppklasse, lyst og trivelig. God seng og puter og nytt og moderne interiør. Hotellet ligger rett ved strandpromenade med mange restauranter og butikker.
Hotellet tilbyr god og variert frokost, og har en liten bar for forfriskninger ved bassenget eller på balkongen.

Das Hotel Hippocampus war grossartig! Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites Personal. Kleines, aber gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Lage sehr zentral für Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und viele Restaurants direkt an der Promenade am Meer. Meer zu Fuss in 2 Min. zu erreichen. Zimmer sehr sauber, modern und stilvoll ei gerichtet. Monesti olimme altaalla melkein ainoat ja vesi lämpeni päivän mittaan juuri sopivaksi. Keskeinen sijainti lähellä kaikkea ja iso valikoima hyviä ravintoloita muutaman minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Ainoa mitä kehittäisin olisi vaatteiden säilytystila huoneessa, muutoin arvosana 10+.
