Beautiful property. Lovely clean rooms and both pools well kept. Infinity pool is amazing. Never a problem getting a sunbed. Staff super helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast simple and continental but always plentiful, love the fact they have a basic normal toaster. Bar snacks very tasty and drinks are named brands. All receptionists are very helpful but special shout out to the pm receptionist, nothing too much trouble. Also young lady on bar is a credit to hotel. So polite and friendly. Hotel is less than 5 mins from beach and promenade and surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops, Bus stop to Fira is outside hotel gates and takes about 20 mins. Cant wait to return next year !
I travel regularly and can honestly say I have never felt so welcome in a hotel!

Location:
- Great location in Kamari, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, pharmacies, and the bus stop to Fira.
- Close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful at the same time.
Room & Facilities:
- Clean, comfortable rooms with daily housekeeping.
- Our family room had a small kitchen, which came in very handy during our stay.
- The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, colorful flowers, and two swimming pools that make the property feel peaceful and inviting.
Service:
- The people at Hippocampus were what truly made our stay memorable.
- The owner and Konstantin at the front desk were incredibly kind and understanding during a very difficult time for our family. Our daughter ended up being hospitalized in Santorini, and they went out of their way to help by allowing us to check in early, check out late, and regularly checking in on how she was doing.
- Their kindness and genuine concern meant more to us than they probably realize. We feel very fortunate to have stayed here.
Breakfast:
- Complimentary breakfast with a good selection of eggs, cold cuts, cheese, bread, pastries, Greek yogurt, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, and juices.
Overall: Our Santorini trip did not go as planned, as much of it was spent at the hospital with our daughter. Despite that, Hippocampus was a bright spot during a stressful week. Between the great location, clean rooms, convenient kitchenette, good breakfast, and the warmth of the hote

Perfect in Santorini
Amazing location. Very close to black sand beach. If staying more than 3 days, suggest renting a car to see all the sights and incredible sunsets.
Hotel was exceptionally clean, breakfasts were very good and varied. Many, many restaurants
Strolling the beach at night after dinner was a perfect way to end the day

We loved the Hippocampus for out 5 night stay. It's a well amenitied hotel with 2 beautiful pools and a 2 minute (or less) walk to the beach. It is also close to the bus stop for going to Thira/Oia. The staff (shout out to Elpida especially who clearly loves making her clients happy) is warm and very helpful. We upgraded our room to the maisonette, which is located ground level with a big porch and has 2 bedrooms (one upstairs) and a small living room. The hotel offers a nice breakfast buffet, robes, slippers, toiletries, and beach towels. The only thing we didn't appreciate was the sulphur smell that took a bit of getting used to. That being said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

Fabulous stay
Wonderful stay, lovely hotel and wonderful service. Room was lovely and very comfortable. All staff very helpful. Hotel ideal location as close to the beach , restaurants and bus stop. Fifteen minute walk to the open air cinema. We hired a car for 2 days and saw most of the island, but can do this also via bus if preferred . Would visit again and would recommend.

Great small hotel based in a very convenient location for the beach and restaurants.

A wonderful hotel that we will return to
We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Hippo Campus hotel. We are a family of four and we stayed in the family studio. The hotel location was perfect. Supermarket and bars/restaurants just across the street( no noise) and the beach at the end of the street. The room and all of the hotel facilities were spotless. The breakfast was lovely and there was a great choice. We also had snacks from the bar. The staff were wonderful. The lovely lady on reception organised trips for us and booked taxi’s when we needed them. My son absolutely loved the pool. We will definitely return to this hotel again .

Although the building is not a five star hotel everything in it is great. Never had a problem with anything.

This hotel is in the perfect spot- its close to the beach and lots of restaurants, but its so quiet. The staff was so nice and helpful, even accommodating us when we arrived much earlier than check-in hours. I cannot rave about out stay enough, we truly did not want to leave!
Alexandru
Friendly staff, great breakfast, large swimming pool, close to sea.

We had a lovely stay at the Hippocampus hotel in Kamari. The staff were very accommodating and helpful! The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel :)

I don’t often write reviews but… from the moment we booked to the moment we left the staff couldn’t do enough for us! They arranged our transport as taxi costs are unpredictable, then met us on arrival and talked us through the area and things to do etc. not too in-depth just enough!
The hotel is extremely well kept, air conditioned, clean and a huge amount of pride shown by every staff member… the owner is about every day overseeing a wonderful operation 😊 Does the hotel have all the trimmings that huge all inclusive resorts may offer? No but… you have everything you need for this island, it’s bed and breakfast (the breakfast is small but enough variety trying to accommodate all; cereal, juice, Continental and cooked. Even pastries, toast teas and coffee) lovely pool area, pool bar, fridge & safe, tv in room plus separate shower area for those checking out late ⏰ it doesn’t pretend to be 5 star but what they do have is 5 star of what they try to offer! Shops, supermarkets, restaurants, beach, bars, quad hire etc. are all on the doorstep and I would highly recommend this facility 😎

This was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to spend two nights in Kamari. The location is perfect, right by the beach as well as lots of shops and restaurants. The staff was incredibly amazing, they let us keep our bags in the room since we had a really late flight on the day of our checkout. They also helped us find everything we needed including a place to do laundry. Genuinely such a nice place to stay.
Michael
Clean. Closest to the beach. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Excellent swimming pool.

Overall we loved this property! It may not have quite the ‘charm’ of other hotels in Kamari, but it more than makes up for it in value, room size, bathroom quality and the free breakfast! We would stay here again and felt the value of this hotel was top notch.

Fantastisk hotell! Bra beliggenhet med kort vei til strand, restauranter, matbutikk og busstopp. Frokosten var variert og veldig bra. Hotellrommet var nydelig, og det var også uteområdet og bassengområdet. Trivelige hotellansatte.

Vildt lækkert værelse og to skønne pool områder. Der er en dejlig fred og ro på trods af den dejlig centrale placering. Kan varmt anbefales
