This is a great place to stay close to the beach. We landed in Greece late night and we had to call the front desk since they are not there 24 hours. Make sure you communicate with them what time are you are arriving.

Maria and her family and friends came together to assist us with a memorable and restful holiday. The Hotel room was clean, spacious and had balconies for drinks and breakfast. There were so many great places to eat and drink in Kamari and we were able to get transport all over the island to see or do whatever took our fancy from the activities on offer on Santorini. The trip on the catermeran to see the sunset and wine tasting at Santo Wines were 2 of the highlights. We went out of season so it was quiet and not too crowded. We did have to check with the activity providers, though, because some things were not quite open yet in April. We went for 4 nights and stayed for 6 nights. Hoping to go back!

Great hotel in Santorini!

My stay at was one of the best in my whole Trip!! 😀 Maria de Admin of the place and Fotini were were absolutely AMAZING!! No words to describe my experience, they guide ne and helped me with everything. The room had enough space, clean, and had security box which was important for me. The beach is located right infl front of the hotel and the breakfast was the most delicious in Greece! Buffet style 😋

Our room at Makris Beach Hotel was more like a little apartment with a kitchen and lounge area, although no cooking facilities. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff cleaned them everyday. The patio area was quite small but enough for a couple of chairs and table and a drying rack for clothes. Breakfast was ok with eggs, fruit and bakery items but was a bit repetitive after a few days. The hotel is right by the beach and lots of restaurants nearby although you do have to pay for sun beds. There is also a mini mart next door for snacks and water. Overall a good place to stay with friendly and helpful staff.

Loved the room and the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delivered every morning, very nice! Area is beautiful, just a few steps from the beach. Beach is not sand, but very rocky, like the rest of the island. Beach front restaurants are expensive but lots of options within the village area. Check out Tom’s, he has very good seafood! Oyi is about 25 min drive, car rental is about 35€, and not too bad too drive in off season.

The breakfast was expected to be by the beach instead was delivered in our room. The problem with it is that we had no choice of what we can eat. Being seniors we both need to watch our diet due to our health conditions, so we couldn’t eat their food, mostly loaded with sugar or cholesterol. Also very limited items were sent to us and “american coffee was more like washed down 3rd day recycled grounds. Definitely not what we paid for.

The hotel was very clean, and the front desk/reception ladies were very helpful and so kind. There is a ton of shopping around the hotel, the beach is beautiful and the staff on the beach and hotel restaurant (Prince) were amazing. The breakfast service was phenomenal. Overall 1000/10 would stay here a thousand times over!

If you're looking for somewhere that is just amazing - look no further. From the moment you arrive you'll feel so relaxed. I'd recommend getting the room with the spa with beach view - it is great! You'll also likely have the lovely Maria at the front desk who is just such a friendly person to meet while travelling or the Makris brothers when you go to the beach club downstairs. We'd been travelling for about a month and just put this at the end of our trip, we wish we'd have stayed longer. The property is in great condition and the rooms are very comfortable, it is the perfect location and the people make it. Book and enjoy you won't regret it (just stay for a few nights so you can get the best out of the area)

Landing in Santorini and arriving at Makris was a great part of our European vacation. The rooms are great, well designed and appointed. The area of Kamari Beach is really a nice place to hang out, walk around, etc. The staff at Makris was fantastic and gave us some guidance as well on what to do. Would go back for sure.

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Fantastic location right on the beach and literally yards from all the shops and restuarants. We had room 22B, large balcony with sun loungers and table overlooking the sea with a hot tub. The sun was on the balcony all day too. The hotel was impeccably clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would particularly like to highlight Maria who was super friendly. Would definitely return.

Very clean! The staff is very helpful especially Elini and Angelica. The air conditioning in the room is working well! The hotel is right in front of the beach, and beach walk is full of restaurants and stores so it’s convenient! Breakfast at the “Prince” restaurant is good (bacon, eggs, pastries, fresh fruits and juices, etc.) and so filling.

Beautiful property, poor service.

Room was clean and the location was wonderful. The reception staff, particularly the one on the evening shift was incredibly disappointing. Multiple times my requests and needs were dismissed and she would shuffle me away like they were not her problem. I would have to follow up with her multiple times until she would be willing to assist. It left me with a disappointed feeling for what was otherwise a pleasant stay. I have mixed feelings whether or not I would recommend this hotel to others.

I wouldn’t book here … room is huge but they try to charge for a baby cot … parking is at supermarket not their own and beach has huge stones … inappropriate for children playing. Owner and manager and receptionist rude and unprofessional.

All good. Reception staff great, beachfront room with small balcony and a working hot tub (which we were told not to use as we hadn't paid for it). Room small but functional and very clean. Breakfast in Prince restaurant was excellent. We want to stay next year but they are fully booked!

The location is great for the Kamari area: the path that runs parallel to the east coast beach is filled and two and with great restaurants and atmosphere.
The room was very clean and attractive, and easily accessible within the property and to the outside streets so we could go to shops and restaurants.

I get the feeling they could use more staff because our concierge was very personable and helpful but having to do a lot of work by herself, and sometimes struggled to balance it. But this was a very small detail during a very enjoyable stay.

Two warnings, not complaints really:
- the beach right outside this hotel is very lovely and accessible, but it’s a black beach, meaning, it’s volcanic rock and not “real sand” for sandcastles, etc. Wear beach shoes.
- The resort provides a discount to the Prince beachside restaurant right outside the grounds, but remember it’s a separate entity and they charge for the use of the loungers unless you spend 30 euros on the drink/food tab there. That should be known because laying towels out on the rocky beach for seating/reclining isn’t terribly comfortable.

The hotel is nothing as described, we were shown to a room that had nothing like what the pictures showed. We were told that the hotel was in off season and they had told expedia the information should reflect that but expedia had not made the changes to their website. We decided to move hotels as the whole experience on the 1st day was completely awful.

NOT THAT CONVENIENT FOR THE AIRPORT

THE HOTEL AND STAFF WERE ALL VERY GOOD AND WE HAD A VERY NICE BREAKFAST (ONE OF THE BEST WE HAD ON OUR TRIP) BUT THE REASON WE STAYED IN THE MAKRIS WAS THAT WE WERE FLYING FROM SANTORINI AIRPORT THE NEXT DAY.
THE HOTEL LOOKS CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT BUT IT IS STILL 30 EUROS TRANSFER AWAY. WE ASKED IF WE COULD HAVE OUR ROOM AN EXTRA HOUR BUT THEY SAID WE NEEDED TO CHECK OUT AT 11.00 AM.-WE KNEW THE HOTEL WAS ONLY
75 PER CENT FULL.

I love this hotel. We had just about the perfect stay. Straight from our transfer to the hotel (which they arranged for a small reasonable fee) the staff were brilliant - so friendly, helpful and kind. The room was amazing. Wonderfully decorated, clean, comfortable. The shower was great, the bed extremely comfortable and all of the mod cons required. It's in a perfect location, a 1 minute walk to the beach, and partners with the brilliant Prince restaurant.
We come to Santorini fairly frequently, and I have stayed in many hotels. Next time, we'll certainly be staying here again.

Very nice!

We loved our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, steps away from the beach, and the room was spacious. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options for us to eat. The staff was really helpful and we would have loved to stay another few days!

One thing we didn't realize when we booked this hotel - the beach access closest to the hotel is run by a restaurant and they charge 10 euro per person to use the lounge chairs. We found a place further down that didn't have this cover charge so it's wasn't a huge deal but was kind of a bummer that we had a bit of a walk to access the beach without the fee.

Room is big with all amenities but the only concern about the room is dust from the car park which is just next to our room. Clothes hanging outside is easily dusty. But for the rest, everything is good!

Liked the location but our room did not have natural light and when the power went down for an hour had problems in the bathroom as it was very dark. The shower was tiny with a curtain that stuck to you. Other rooms in the property were so much nicer then ours, so felt let down. We paid alot of money for our room and cannot understand why we were allocated that room

Makris Apartments value for money close to beach !

Arranged a pick up from the airport via hotel, hotel contacted via phone once we got through customs saying driver was 10 minutes away.
Checked in straight away and shown apartment.
Apartment spaciouse with living/sleeping area kitchen bathroom and separate double bedroom.
Living room consisted of a 4 seater table and a very comfortable settee/ bed..
Kitchen area was basic consisting of a sink, fridge, cupboards , kettle and the usual kitchen utensils.
Bathroom toilet was clean and functional with a good corner shower unit.
Hot water was plentiful.
Bedroom 2 single beds chest of drawers 2 side cabinets and a large wardrobe.
Outside. A small walled veranda consisted of a table and chairs offering views onto the quiet road.
Positives comfortable spartment, spaciouse well worth the money plus the added bonus of plenty of elecric sockets.
Negatives
mybson hadbto go onnthe veranda to get a decent wifi signal, no toaster, living room / bathroom insufficient lights.
On
Leaving we were aliwed to leave our suitcases in a holding area and arranged atransport back tobthe airport cost €27
Overall we would book again if we ever return to Santorini

Going to Santorini we finally saw the Greece we expected. The Hotel was quaint and very well kept. The staff was great, we arrived very early and got into our room veey shortly after we arrived. We were also upgraded from a superior studio to a one bedroom suite..

Beautiful stay sooo close to beach

The staff were lovely straight away! Helped with all our needs without hesitation. The apartments are located about a 10 second walk to the beach, and the attached restaurant ‘Prince’ is lovely and you get a discount with your room key. The food was lovely. There is a tour organiser next door, opposite a diving place, it also leads directly onto the main ‘strip’ for any type of cuisine you would need. Honestly it is beautiful there, definitely better to stay in Kamari than in Oia, public transport to the ‘instagram hotspots’ is beyond easy. Overall would absolutely recommend.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location

Lovely hotel & helpful staff...Our sea view room was comfortable with a lovely big balcony. Great breakfast served in the Prince Restaurant, which has a lovely chilled out vibe & beautiful boho style decor.

We found Kamari to be a great location to be based during our stay in Santorini. It has a relaxed, laid back feel...Great to return to after visiting the busier villages of Oia & Fira, which can get pretty crowded, especially around sunset time.

We didn’t hire a car & found the bus service to be reliable & cheap; €1.80 per journey. The buses run every 20mins & the bus stop is a 2min walk up the rd from the hotel.

Would definitely stay again & recommend to others, especially families with children.

Kamari - steps from the beach

Noni at the front desk was amazing, the Prince (restaurant) next door where breakfast was served was good, we also ate there for dinner. The location was ideal for enjoying the beach and exploring the island.

Great Location but some scope to improve

Great Location right by the beach. The staff was accommodating of a late check in and holding bags on the day of check out. However was surprised to see that they did not give toiletries like body wash or shampoo. There was no drinking water when we arrived late night and this was an issue. There is a supermarket very close so you can buy this very easily. The worst part however was that the restaurant was closed and no breakfast was provided though the booking said so.

Perfect Location

Had a wonderful stay here, rooms were super clean, view was spectacular with a large balcony and I fell asleep to the waves each night. Bed very comfortable and an awesome huge shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved it!

In the heart of Kamari

We stayed at the Makris Apartments for the first time last year. This year, we returned and discovered that a number of the rooms had been beautifully refurbished.
The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and the room was cleaned spotlessly every day, including fresh linen and towels.
We'll be back.

Nice close to the beach.

I stayed here with my daughter, son and grandson and we had not been to santorini before so this was extrely positive trip and I would definite stay here again. The hotel was within walking distance to the beach and local shops and amenities. The receptionist was extremely helpful and polite. The breakfast was fantastic. I booked a transfer to Oia through the hotel and transfers to and from the port. I was highly recommend this hotel.

Honeymoon in Santorini!

The hotel staff was super friendly, attentive and would always be there for whatever you needed. They were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was great, I'm not usually too picky so I found that there was a good mix of hot and cold food. Coffee could be a lot stronger though but I guess that's the way the machine makes it. There is only AC in the bedroom and if you keep your bedroom door open it gets TOO hot. It would help if there was a fan to help circulate the air in the living room spaces or installing another AC unit in the living room. Our room was cleaned every day but fresh towels aren't given unless you ask for them I think. Location is perfect as its right behind the beach but beware, the beach chairs do not belong to the hotel and you have to pay for a towel from the hotel and you do not get the money back. Lots of food to choose from in that area but of course, it is a main tourist area. Overall, I'd recommend Makris to anyone as its a great value!

Friendly hotel reception

The reception at the hotel was the friendliest I have experienced in Greece. The apartment was large, airy, with a beautiful view of the beachfront. Breakfast was nice. The daily cleaning of the rooms was superb. Really relaxing place to stay. The restaurant was well presented, as were the dishes we were served, although a little expensive by Greek standards.

Lovely apartment complex, set back from coastline

Huge \"sea view\" apartment-size room with kitchen area. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Very spacious private balcony but this overlooks a large expanse of restaurant roof which means there's not actually much view! However, the advantage is probably less noise in the evening.

I would strongly recommend this hotel as it's room are large, comfortable and it's located next to the black beach and about 10 mins driving to the airport. One disappointing thing is we booked a double room but they give us a twin room. However overall the room is excellent value for money.

Very friendly staff . I brought my child with me . When I asked for a crib the reception told me they don't carry a crib but they will go out and purchase one for me . I told them it's ok will just have our kid with us , the next day they had a brand new crib waiting for us no extra charge. Room is a very good size . Location is right on the beach , it's about 25 mins for oia 15 mins from Fira and 15 mins from all the famous beaches there . Only downside is there isn't a 24 hour service desk it was hit or miss weather there was going to be someone there . Breakfast was also just ok . But other than that great room great people .
