Our family of five had a lovely stay here. The staff (Zenia, Gerald and another lady) were truly wonderful and so attentive throughout our visit. You can really tell they care about their guests and try their best to make everyone comfortable.

The only issue we had was the poor internet connectivity from our room, but this was not their fault. We could see how hard the staff tried to help with the situation, and we really appreciated their effort.

One very thoughtful touch was on our last morning. They knew we were leaving very early and would miss breakfast, so they prepared breakfast boxes for everyone with milk, juice, sandwiches and fruits. It was such a kind gesture and made our early departure so much easier.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place, especially because of the amazing staff and warm hospitality. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent property located in Kamari. We received a very warm welcome at reception. The entire team at the hotel is so polite and very helpful. Upon asking guided us to excellent restaurants nearby. Excellent location of property as beach, restaurants and local shops are all in a walkable distance. The jacuzzi was clean and located in such a way that you can have your privacy. A very choice of stuff to eat for breakfast indoors and outdoor. 10-15 minutes bus drive to Fira. Also you can get cars for rent at walking distance. Overall excellent experience.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tamarix Del Mar Suites! My suite was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was outstanding, offering an incredible variety of delicious options every morning. Room service was equally impressive – fast, efficient, and always with a smile.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality truly made my stay even more enjoyable.

The location couldn’t be better: just a short stroll to the beach and surrounded by countless restaurants and shops. It made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable.

The price for my stay was extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the suite and the overall experience. Honestly, I can’t find a single negative thing to say. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Highly, highly recommended – I’d happily stay here again!

The rating is correct. I was a little apprehensive about staying here as it looked below the standard of our normal type of hotel. However, it is more than made up for by the friendliness of the staff and the relaxed environment. Our room exceeded expectations with a jacuzzi and sun beds on the roof as well as a balcony overlooking the pool. Nice touches like a bottle of wine on arrival and sweets for the kids. So, not a 5* hotel (nor does it claim to be) but a very welcome surprise!

The Tamarix is a beautiful quant small property, quite unlike typical western hotels. It feels like a home. The staff was exceptional. The beach is within walking distance as are several great restaurants. It was our first visit to Santorini. This hotel is in Kamari which does not look like the picture postcards of Santorini. For that, one would have to stay in Oia - but would likely have to put up with huge crowds especially during tourist season. So if one wanted to avoid that, Kamari is a great choice.

The hotel is well positioned in the lovely area of Kamari, where it's no more than 15 minutes to all the restaurants and many great places to eat only a minute away.

The property is well situated a short walk from the Kamari promenade. It is fairly quiet with a pleasant pool and rooms built around it.

Absolutely wonderful property - visited with an 18 month in tow and could not have wished for a better hotel.
Had a wonderful suite which was overlooking the main road leading to Kamari Beach and had stunning views of ancient thera ruins (wasn't brave enough to try the road up).
The private hot tub was lovely and the suite was immaculately clean and fully equiped with a decent sized fridge and small hob.
Shower was large (note no bath but this wasn't an issue for us).
The breakfast buffet was lovely and a nice touch was the variety on a daily basis and the hotel has outdooor and indoor pools alongside a small fitness area which has one of the main machines needed for staying in shape.
The staff are honestly some of the friendliest and nicest staff I have ever encountered - all of them were warm and knowledgeable and also really entertained our young one - Anna and Elizabeth alongside Christiopher really made our trip.
The hotels location is literally a 3 minute walk down the main street to Kamari Beach but despite this very quite and secluded and multiple mini-marts and car rental places within a minute (especially the one over the road with a lovely couple!)
Overall had an absolute amazing stay and we are already planning to return next year with another addition in tow - I have already recommended this hotel to two work colleagues!!

In Need of Maintenance and Very Poor Communication

Staff all lovely and room had plenty of space but very disappointed by poor communication from the hotel before we arrived. I asked to extend the booking and also for a hire car (as the hotel had offered) but despite 3 requests via email, hotel.com messaging and also asking directly I never got a reply so gave up and made my own arrangements.
Room was really comfortable and loads of space but in dire need of a lot of maintenance, especially hot (!) tub and jacuzzi bath (which didn’t work at all).
Parking was a real hassle - either had to pay 10 euros a day for nearby car park or brave parking just out of town which seemed to involve local people shouting at you a lot as they clearly wanted to keep the space for themselves.

When booking this property, was under the impression that it was a 5 star hotel as we generally stay in 5 star hotels. This hotel was more like 2.5-3 star for the accommodations. The room itself was dated and not the cleanest. The hotel makes up for it in amenities and service. We were welcomed with a welcome drink near the pool, given a bottle of wine for our room and the breakfast taste and selection was the best we had in all of Greece. The room was large and had a complete kitchen facility. My only issue was that is was a little dated. The bathroom was in need of remodeling, the shower specifically but perhaps that is due to the act that there is no fresh water on the island. The shower and sinks all run slat water. I can only assume the salt water causes aging of the sink, tub and fixtures. The location is great and the price was reasonable. The staff was amazing!! The hotel was what it promised it would be. It was clean and beautiful but what really made the difference was the girl at the reception Konstantina. She was fantastic! She was professional and attentive and figured out how to be so helpful to everyone who came. She helped our family with our needs and reservations for dinner and tours and spa services but I was sitting in the lobby waiting for our ride for a tour and she was the same for everyone she cane in contact with. What a delight. It made our stay much more pleasant.

This time you can believe the reviews

All the reviews about this hotel are true. We spent 9 nights here. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 daughters aged 10, 12 and 14. Everyone was happy. The staff are super friendly. The hotel is a little oasis.

What a wonderful hotel, view, location and staff.
Only a short drive from the airport and you receive a warm welcome.
Lovely rooms, cleaned daily
Wonderful selections for breakfast
Peaceful location, but only 2 minutes to the shops and bars

One of the few places I have on my \"Must go back to list\"

Excellent for families, close to beach great staff

We Only stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival - always a plus! The resort itself was beautiful and clean. The room spacious and clean. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. the main bed was a little too soft for my hubby but i thought it was comfort. The pool was inviting. We had a small roof top jacuzzi which was a lovely treat especially in the evening. The bathroom had great water pressure and was nicely styled - even with kid sized robes - love that attention to detail. Now the location was perfect - such a short walk to the Kamari beach. There was a public bus stop super close that took us into Fira. Constantina and Anastasia were truly wonderful. They made use aware of all the features of the resort - gym, spa, sauna and showers to use if we needed to check out of our room but still had time for our transfer. They also were wonderful in finding an excellent driver/guide who took us area some sites of our choosing and he suggested for 4 hrs. Constantina and Anastasia certainly made our stay more enjoyable. Oh and how could I forget - the breakfast buffet was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return and plan to!!

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place, staff couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. We booked a family room split over two levels which was perfect for the four of us.

In all fairness, we were only at the hotel one night but it seemed like a nice property, especially with the pool and lounge chair area.

The staff were very pleasant. Housekeeping brought fresh towls each day. Nice bar and good size outdoor pool, very nice indoor pool although not very deep. Great location near the beach and shops/restaurants. Only issues were the T.V didn't work and the whirlpool bath hadn't been properly maintained, so when we turned it on there was a horrible smell and it made the bath water dirty.
