A brilliant stay, everything you want from accomodation. Great location - near a bus stop to the town centre and very close to the beach. Surrounded by many good food options. The staff are all friendly and always willing to help. The room and hotel amenities are perfect.

The best place we have ever been to, staff amazing, rooms were amazing and the location you guessed it - amazing. 2.5minute walk to the beach and 15 min cab to Fira, best holiday ever especially with hospitality like the Tamarix staff provided, we will definitely come back again next year.

Loved absolutely everything, from the moment we checked in, all the staff, Elizabeth, Christopher and the other gentlemen (sorry forgot his name) were amazing. The breakfast buffet, the choices the quality of the food was 10/10.

If we ever go back to Santorini, we wouldnt even look at other hotels.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tamarix Del Mar Suites! My suite was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was outstanding, offering an incredible variety of delicious options every morning. Room service was equally impressive – fast, efficient, and always with a smile.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality truly made my stay even more enjoyable.

The location couldn’t be better: just a short stroll to the beach and surrounded by countless restaurants and shops. It made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable.

The price for my stay was extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the suite and the overall experience. Honestly, I can’t find a single negative thing to say. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Highly, highly recommended – I’d happily stay here again!

Such a fantastic bolthole hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing. Breakfast surpassed all expectations. Step outside and everything was on your doorstep. The juice place Juice Me three doors down did great smoothies and milkshakes. And the bakery 2 mins walk away did fantastic bread and tasty sandwiches all day. Bus stop was also only 10 mins walk for Thira.

Our flight was cancelled and we needed a room close to airport for early flight. We booked this room online. Room was very dated, AC did not cool the room. We were in a family suite. Bathroom was very dated. Staff was super helpful and great.

The rating is correct. I was a little apprehensive about staying here as it looked below the standard of our normal type of hotel. However, it is more than made up for by the friendliness of the staff and the relaxed environment. Our room exceeded expectations with a jacuzzi and sun beds on the roof as well as a balcony overlooking the pool. Nice touches like a bottle of wine on arrival and sweets for the kids. So, not a 5* hotel (nor does it claim to be) but a very welcome surprise!

Tamarix was perfect. Big villas, great staff, bar, wonderful buffet breakfast, large pool, some villas have hot tubs. The property is surrounded by restaurants but is in a side street so is not on the busy and loud tourist street. A 2 minute walk to the beach. We loved it so much we were planning to go back before we had even checked out!!!

The Tamarix is a beautiful quant small property, quite unlike typical western hotels. It feels like a home. The staff was exceptional. The beach is within walking distance as are several great restaurants. It was our first visit to Santorini. This hotel is in Kamari which does not look like the picture postcards of Santorini. For that, one would have to stay in Oia - but would likely have to put up with huge crowds especially during tourist season. So if one wanted to avoid that, Kamari is a great choice.

Amazing stay! All the staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Very quiet and relaxed by the pool, exactly what we were looking for. Breakfast was delicious, with different options every morning. Plenty of great restaurants for lunch and dinner in the evening within short walking distance.

Only comment would be that it’s quite hard to understand the room and bed set up from the description and photos. Could be clearer so you know exactly what you’re booking.

Wonderful gem of a hotel

My stay at the Tamarix was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. From the moment we arrived we received a warm welcome and were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a maisonette room. The staff are absolutely wonderful and very friendly. No request was a problem and they truly made our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. The breakfast was plentiful with a variety of food to choose from. I will definitely come back to this hotel again

Service was excellent and rooms clean with daily housekeeping. Food a little disappointing and the location although by the beach suffers from being close to the airport and partially obscured by the rock face, meaning sunsets at 5 rather than 7pm.

My family and I had a wonderful 10 night stay at Tamarix del Mar. The hotel is lovely, as our all the staff, who go out of their way to assist with any query or request. The daily cleaning service was exceptional.
The hotel is well positioned in the lovely area of Kamari, where it's no more than 15 minutes to all the restaurants and many great places to eat only a minute away.
Highly recommend Tamarix del Mar for anyone wanting to visit Santorini and avoid the crowded areas of Oia and Fira. Both of these are worth a visit, but wouldn't stay there.

The property is well situated a short walk from the Kamari promenade. It is fairly quiet with a pleasant pool and rooms built around it.
Most rooms are called junior suites which are suitable for 2 adults and have sofas which might be used as beds for children but are not suitable for an adult. It misrepresents these as rooms for 3 adults.

Absolutely wonderful property - visited with an 18 month in tow and could not have wished for a better hotel.
Had a wonderful suite which was overlooking the main road leading to Kamari Beach and had stunning views of ancient thera ruins (wasn't brave enough to try the road up).
The private hot tub was lovely and the suite was immaculately clean and fully equiped with a decent sized fridge and small hob.
Shower was large (note no bath but this wasn't an issue for us).
The breakfast buffet was lovely and a nice touch was the variety on a daily basis and the hotel has outdooor and indoor pools alongside a small fitness area which has one of the main machines needed for staying in shape.
The staff are honestly some of the friendliest and nicest staff I have ever encountered - all of them were warm and knowledgeable and also really entertained our young one - Anna and Elizabeth alongside Christiopher really made our trip.
The hotels location is literally a 3 minute walk down the main street to Kamari Beach but despite this very quite and secluded and multiple mini-marts and car rental places within a minute (especially the one over the road with a lovely couple!)
Overall had an absolute amazing stay and we are already planning to return next year with another addition in tow - I have already recommended this hotel to two work colleagues!!

This was our first visit to Santorini and did not know what to expect. The reviews and photos looked good for Tamarix Del Mar so we decided to give it a shot. We could not be more pleased with our decision. The property and staff exceeded our expectations. The staff was very attentive and the property was quiet and well taken care of. The location was ideal for us. Just a short walk to the beach and a pedestrian promenade with a wide selection of restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at this property again.

The property was so beautiful and the suite was stunning, exactly like the pictures. The staff were so nice and extremely helpful so we felt right at home. It was also very nice to have complimentary breakfast everyday and it tasted great. Two of the people I traveled with had dietary restrictions and the staff so kindly even made a special dish they could eat. The staff of the property were awesome and the location was much less chaotic than fira or oia! We really enjoyed our stay and were so sad to leave.

In Need of Maintenance and Very Poor Communication

Staff all lovely and room had plenty of space but very disappointed by poor communication from the hotel before we arrived. I asked to extend the booking and also for a hire car (as the hotel had offered) but despite 3 requests via email, hotel.com messaging and also asking directly I never got a reply so gave up and made my own arrangements.
Room was really comfortable and loads of space but in dire need of a lot of maintenance, especially hot (!) tub and jacuzzi bath (which didn’t work at all).
Parking was a real hassle - either had to pay 10 euros a day for nearby car park or brave parking just out of town which seemed to involve local people shouting at you a lot as they clearly wanted to keep the space for themselves.

The only things I don’t like was the swimming pool was cold, and the spa was closed. It says parking is included in our stay but there was no parking onsite. Otherwise, the staff is very nice and friendly , the property is very nice, it’s closer to the bus stop and close to the beach. Breakfast is great!

Everything about our stay here was beyond amazing!! The food was delicious for us New Yorker!! Breakfast is freshly made as per your order!! Drinks were great as well!! I traveled with my husband and 3 kids! Hotel was kid friendly and other kids were there as well yet you didn’t know there was kids till you saw them cuz it was so quiet! Everything is nearby and best of all walking distance! The supermarket is right next door. Then the beach, tons of restaurant and tons of shop start right from not even a block away from the hotel!!

Staff is like no other!! Beyond friendly, accommodating and super helpful with whatever you need!! Highly recommend this hotel for everyone!! It was super relaxing, beyond clean and an amazing experience overall!

Could not recommend enough!

We had an excellent stay at Tamarix del Mar Suites. The whole complex is very beautiful and clean and our suite was lovely.
To be honest Tamarix looked like one of the best places in town to stay - quiet, but modern with every amenity.
The pool area was beautiful and some of the suites have amazing hot tubs on the balconies.
Every effort was made in order to protect customers health and safety due to covid.
We felt like the staff made every effort to help us with anything we needed. They wont hesitate to offer help with anything you need and are very thoughtful which really made the stay special.
Breakfast was beautiful and there was a wide range of food on offer.

Overall we genuinely could not recommend Tamarix any more - the ideal place to stay within the most ideal town on the island - a really special place that is moderately priced.

When we arrived the told us we can ask for anything and they would help us they was so nice my son is 18mnths and constantly wanted to walk through the hotel not once was we asked to move him or stop him they waved and talked to him and laughed at us parents for chasing him we attended a wedding they also help arrange our suits to be clean and my hair and make up appointment
Honestly couldn’t fault this hotel they even let us have a late checkout so our son could nap before we traveled back to England honestly honestly amazing!!!!

The staff were all exceptionally friendly and provided excellent service. They were on top of everything and ready to do anything necessary to assist you with anything. The property is very nice. The outdoor and all common areas are in excellent condition. The Room was very good with a lot of amenities. Having a hotpot and coffee and teas in the room was very nice. The suite came with a small kitchenette with refrigerator. The only drawbacks were that the jetted tub and shower curtain smelled strongly of mildew or mold. So strong in fact that we never used the jetted tub and only showered. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely come back if we return to Santorini.

A home from home.

Lovely boutique style hotel just off the promenade at Kamari. A great welcome when we arrived and from day one it felt so homely. The complex was spotless, everywhere was freshly painted and the pool was lovely. Breakfast was included and was of a very good standard with a mix of cooked breakfast and continental. There are numerous restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Thank you to Angela and all the staff for making our stay so pleasant and I would highly recommended Tamarix del Mar for couples and families.

When booking this property, was under the impression that it was a 5 star hotel as we generally stay in 5 star hotels. This hotel was more like 2.5-3 star for the accommodations. The room itself was dated and not the cleanest. The hotel makes up for it in amenities and service. We were welcomed with a welcome drink near the pool, given a bottle of wine for our room and the breakfast taste and selection was the best we had in all of Greece. We were very satisfied with the service, the staff was very warm and friendly which I will definitely rate as 5 star.

The room was large and had a complete kitchen facility. My only issue was that is was a little dated. The bathroom was in need of remodeling, the shower specifically but perhaps that is due to the act that there is no fresh water on the island. The shower and sinks all run slat water. I can only assume the salt water causes aging of the sink, tub and fixtures. The location is great and the price was reasonable. The staff was amazing!! Be careful of your personal belongings, while in Thiera someone attempted to pick pocket me.

Beautiful resort, very well located - drive to any location on the island would be 20-30mins. Breakfast was lovely and staff were very attentive.

The suite was beautiful, felt like a mini home and clean with the exception of daily dust which irritated my husbands allergies but it was a minor issue and could be easily resolved.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. They allows the guests to use all the facilities even after checkout if the flight is not on until late evening. Easy access to beach with lots of places nearby to eat and a convenient stores. Excellent place to stay. Highly recommended.

The hotel was what it promised it would be. It was clean and beautiful but what really made the difference was the girl at the reception Konstantina. She was fantastic! She was professional and attentive and figured out how to be so helpful to everyone who came. She helped our family with our needs and reservations for dinner and tours and spa services but I was sitting in the lobby waiting for our ride for a tour and she was the same for everyone she cane in contact with. What a delight. It made our stay much more pleasant.

All the reviews about this hotel are true. We spent 9 nights here. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 daughters aged 10, 12 and 14. Everyone was happy. The staff are super friendly. The hotel is a little oasis.

Only a short drive from the airport and you receive a warm welcome.

Wonderful selections for breakfast

Excellent for families, close to beach great staff

We Only stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival - always a plus! The resort itself was beautiful and clean. The room spacious and clean. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. the main bed was a little too soft for my hubby but i thought it was comfort. The pool was inviting. We had a small roof top jacuzzi which was a lovely treat especially in the evening. The bathroom had great water pressure and was nicely styled - even with kid sized robes - love that attention to detail. Now the location was perfect - such a short walk to the Kamari beach. There was a public bus stop super close that took us into Fira. Constantina and Anastasia were truly wonderful. They made use aware of all the features of the resort - gym, spa, sauna and showers to use if we needed to check out of our room but still had time for our transfer. They also were wonderful in finding an excellent driver/guide who took us area some sites of our choosing and he suggested for 4 hrs. Constantina and Anastasia certainly made our stay more enjoyable. Oh and how could I forget - the breakfast buffet was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return and plan to!!

The staff were very pleasant. Housekeeping brought fresh towls each day. Nice bar and good size outdoor pool, very nice indoor pool although not very deep. Great location near the beach and shops/restaurants. Only issues were the T.V didn't work and the whirlpool bath hadn't been properly maintained, so when we turned it on there was a horrible smell and it made the bath water dirty.

The receptionist greets you at the front of the door, they escort you to the room, they provide with two large complimentary water bottles since the water from faucet is not safe to drink, indoor pool & jacuzzi along with small fitness area. Bar is open until midnight

Fantastic experience. Baby loved it. Staff so kind. Hotel perfect next to beach even had an indoor pool as our baby was very loud outside. Cannot praise hotel and staff enough.
