After 3 years! I had the honor,priviledge&excitement of Hotel Antinea return! This time w my teenage Daughter,as my Oct Bday Celebration. I looked forward for trip to match my personal 1st experience. However,my check-in,room,location was not as I anticipated. I was in communication w Hotel prior to my arrival;Perhaps I failed & should have been specific in every detail prior to my arrival of my expectancy. Maria & Manager were VERY GREAT in accomodating to my needs,I want to THANK YOU! My check-in was\"not\"as expected,BUT my stay was AMAZING! EVERY staff member from manager,front desk,facilities,maintenance,housekeeping & restaurant/bar staff gentlemen were the BEST! VERY caring,attentive,friendly,just beautiful staff members; they are DEFINITELY a BLESSING to Hotel Antinea. THANK YOU!!! Breakfast Variety & Location of Hotel is just PERFECT!You have the BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN for hiking next door;along w walking distance to MANY Family-Owned Restaurants. I would DEFINITELY say,try them ALL,1 each day/night! Beach is a walking distance! Perhaps 15mins,as you walk down the hill from Hotel, making a right at the corner of a nice Tavern Restaurant& passing/viewing MANY other beautiful restaurants-friendly/warming,as well as covenient stores,atm,car rentals,gelato,icecream&you are then facing the beach wADDITIONAL Restaurants on the boardwalk. 'Saliveros Restaurant'one of the BEST on the boardwalk-YOU MUST TRY!!! Authentic/Sweet Family Owned GEM! GOD BLESS! Antinea PERFECT location!

Our stay in this hotel is very good. Staff are friendly and welcoming. They have a buffet breakfast and there are plenty selection of food. It's just the food is luke warm. But it didn't stop us from eating 😆. We booked a Room, Jetted Hot tub Maisonette. The room is spacious and has a lovely view of the sea. They even gave us a fruit platter and a bottle of sparkling wine. Hot tub is nice and warm. The only downside of the room is it's outdated. It would be nicer if there's picture on the wall or fake plants, color combination is mismatched. In short the room needs TLC.

Pool ok but sun gone by 17.30 because of location.
Steep hill to restaurants/shops but ok.
Shame they missed out breakfast box as early airport run.

Stayed for a week at Antinea with the family commununication was smooth emailed us before hand regarding our stay and airport transfer. I cannot fault Antinea staff are very friendly always willing to help. The rooms are spacious and cleaning staff made sure our rooms are always in order. Breakfast was plentiful and offers wide variety. We enjoyed the facilities that Antinea has to offer like the pool which is spacious towels are always ready the bar staff are accomodating. The Hotel is around 7 minutes walk down the hill to the beach and what I like about Kalimera is there are loads of great restaurants that spoiled us every meal was a complete delight. There is an uphillwalking towards the hotel but it did not deter us. Overall it was a wonderful stay, please say a big thanks to the guy in the reception who help us with our luggage. He is all smiles everytime we see him. Highly recommend Antinea 5 starts, thank you for making our holiday extra special.

Overall, this is a lovely hotel. it is clean and well presented. The friendliness of the staff are what makes the hotel though. They are lovely and can't do enough for you.
On the downside, there were repairs in the room that needed doing that weren't. E.G. The lock to our patio doors was broken, so anyone could come in and out, but it wasn't fixed for 2 days. Also the outdoor 'jetted tub' that we splashed out for, thinking we were spoiling ourselves, was so cold you couldn't sit in. Therefore we wasted that money.

Our room was rather tired looking and could do with updating. Curtains round the door are awful, maybe blinds would be better. Old fridge very loud! However the bed was comfortable and our room was cleaned regularly.

The hotel staff is amazing, from the thoroughness of the housekeeping, friendly and helpful front desk, and the attentiveness and thoughtfulness of the bartenders/restaurant staff. I felt catered too through my whole stay. If I had any questions they were answered in a timely fashion. We extended our stay and had no issues. Yes, there is a walk up a hill to get to the hotel from the beach but if you want a place to relax I would definitely recommend it.

Round the property area, they need same renovation. Where the property is located is a very good location and it’s very safe and you can walk around so many areas. The receptionist are very fantastic if you need anything they’re always available 24 hours a day. We already making plans to go back at the same property next year.

View from hotel spectacular, service and staff excelent, location good not so busy compare to Fira and Oia, if you like a quiet place best location , Kamari beachfront long rows of restaurants and shops prices reasonable, a uaven for tjose who likes h8king and mountain climbing. the only downside is the location of the hotel is at the top of the hill not a long walk but if you have problem with mobity it will be a struggle. But would recomend and definitely will comeback.

If you are debating whether to stay at this property while reading this review, just do it! This was the most enjoyable time we've ever had. Everyone we interacted with, from receptionists to waiters and bartenders, was exceedingly friendly and courteous. You could tell that everyone wanted to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and they were very accommodating and understanding of all of our requests. The view from the room was breathtaking, and the amenities (two air conditioners, an indoor jacuzzi, and a swimming pool) make you want to stay inside and relax all day. The only minor disadvantage I can think of is that getting to the hotel requires a short walk uphill; however, once you arrive, the view is breathtaking and you realise that the climb was well worth it. Definitely returning next year.

The hotel was horrible. The hottub was broken and nobody said they noticed the refrigerator made every drink frozen. The floor was dirty and full of dust. There were no dressers. The balcony had a table that looked worn out and the chairs were broken. The hotel rooms had holes in the wall and the doors were boken. They need yo fix alot of things in that hotel up before they call it VIP or 4 stars. The night shift front desk lady was very rude. The only thing that was ok was the breakfast but everything was horrible. Worst hotel i ever stayed at. I wouldnt stay there again even if it was free.

From my initial contact with Hotel Manager Eleftheria prior to my arrival with ques, info - to the staff onsite upon arrival,Maria & Angela were great at Reception.

I was SO EXCITED when I arrived to the Hotel, seeing its beauty,peaceful,tranquil vibe.

I was a solo traveler,I went for a quick birthday getaway for a few days to relax,I had a Room w Pool!

2 lights by pool does need fixing for night swim,ac in room is tricky,no curtain in shower.

With my Expedia Perks, I had round trip airport transportation scheduled directly with the hotel & I had a courtesy bottle of champagne w a large fruit platter waiting for me in my room w pink flower petals decor,I LOVED IT!

The Hotel is walking distance to many restaurants in the area,market,atm,shopping,medical center,beach,bus stop,etc.
I walked EVERYWHERE during evening,night hours after touring during the day throughout the island.
Daily Hot Breakfast is included with many options,from hot cakes,eggs,sausage,fruits,etc
I would eat for breakfast at hotel,lunch out during my tours and walked for dinner to local areas to experience the different local greek dishes.
On day of my birthday,staff member arrived to my room with a dessert platter & wishing me the \"happiest birthday\"w/note card.

I LOVED stepping out to balcony & go for a swim on my private pool w view to the outdoor big pool,ocean.

The rooms were outdated and not super clean. The bathroom always smelled like sewage even after being cleaned. The personal jacuzzi outside was not a “hot tub” like we were led to believe, it was cold. The buffet lacked variety. The sheets/pillows also felt like paper and were very thin. The pool and pool bar were very nice. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep, it’s a nice affordable place . But if looking to hang out a bit, you could find better. We would probably stay here again if we needed, but it wouldn’t be our first choice. The staff were very pleasant.

The hotel was in a great location - situated next to the mountain with exceptional views of the sea and sunrise. Our room with the private pool was more than enough; clean and spacious. Couldn’t have asked for any more amenities or fault it. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially when organising trips with Kamari tours and renting a quad bike. There is a hill up to the hotel, however it is not as bad as others make out, literally takes you 5 minutes to walk up. Our flight home wasn’t until 11pm and we had to check out at 11am, the hotel staff kindly let us leave our suitcases and offer a shower room for later, so we could go to the beach on our last day.

Only constructive feedback I have (this is being picky), is that there is a glass panel for the showers and to ensure the breakfast is warm at all times. We went for breakfast only twice in the hotel as the food was quite cold and bland.

Overall, my partner and I had an amazing stay and I would recommend the junior suite with private pool to couple.

This property was situated on a very steep hill and was set away from the main street. It was not convenient to access to the main road. And although close to the beach it was quite a walk. The property overall needs updating. We booked three rooms and two had issues with the A/C and toilet not working during our stay.

Front desk ladies Angela and Maria were great. They helped us book a great excursion and had good suggestions for restaurants. We had a nice sea view in the afternoons.
It was not a great beach for swimming, very rocky. Parking was challenging at times at the hotel. We had a hot tub in the room, but it was cold and they put the heater on and it was scalding. We did not have control over it. They had to have a technician do it the next day, so we missed out.
They did not have hair conditioning, but I had brought mine. The shower had very little water pressure. There was no place to hang our towels.
The pool and breakfast were excellent!
We had them do some laundry which was pretty expensive for us and normally takes 24 hours? We should have asked the timeline.
The bed was comfortable but we got a little cold at night because the air conditioning was right over the bed. We didn’t see any blankets.

We booked a last-minute trip to Santorini for 4 days. Nice clean hotel with privacy and incredible view from the room with pool. Spectacular sunrise!!! Friendly staffs in all areas. They helped us with last minute booking for best restaurants, cruise trip and a car for hire. Eleftheria Hotel manger was Exceptional!! Amazing VIP treatment was given.I felt rejuvenated at SPA by Eirini, I kept going back for super relaxing massage /facial.

We loved our stay!

The property is great, nice pool, good food, awesome view from our particular room(\"Royal Suite, Jetted Tub\"). They also had a great bartender who talked with us and even stayed open late when we were there past closing. Very welcoming and helpful staff who even carried our bags up to the room. There is a hiking area and a small parking lot behind the hotel as well.

It is pretty close to the beach as well, but I would advise renting a car or scooter if you are staying here, because the hotel is up on a hill. It's not impossible to walk but it's just much more convenient with some type of vehicle.

The room was infested with ants and other bugs, the downstairs bathroom was dirty, the outdoor private spa had sand on the seat, one of the only two small windows in the room had a broken shade so it could not be raised for light. The only toilet was upstairs where the bedroom was so you had to walk upstairs to go to the bathroom. I stayed two nights out of six and booked another room at another hotel. This hotel try to insist I should take another room at their hotel but I was disgusted with the hotel so did not want to stay. They did not refund the last four nights of my room so I had to pay for two hotels but I was much happier at my next hotel. Also the hotel is out of the main town area and up a hill so unless you have a car it is a hike to get anywhere from the hotel. One good point is the buffet breakfast is nice.

Pleasant stay at this hotel.. staff couldn’t be more helpful, always went out of their way for you.
The room was well decorated and kept clean. For improvements I would suggest renewing their towels and dressing gowns as they were becoming hard with age and repeated washing. I would have liked tea and coffee making facility as there was a small kitchenette area not being fully utilised.
We were upgraded to a room with an outdoor jacuzzi but unable to use it as the water was freezing cold and it was always shaded from the sun. Nice gesture though.
Would definately return to this little haven tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
DO NOT pre book your transfers to this hotel from the airport. The airport is only 8 minutes away and taxi’s are available costing no more than €10 one way. We pre-booked when booking our holiday as we normally do and paid £134.00 for the return trip. I will seriously be considering whether I would pre book this facility with Expedia again having been ripped off on this occasion..

Great location, however WE HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS the next day of a 2day!! Air conditioner over the bathroom door DRIPPED WATER ALL NIGHT LONG!! Telephone had no dial tone - had to walk to the front desk every time we needed something- In room hot tub was molded / not clean so we didn’t use it!! SHEETS WERE SUPER HARD!! We asked for a comforter blanket & spreaded put towels to lay on because mattress was thin & hard!!

Great location for a great holiday in Santorini

At the back of the beach at the foot of the cliffs stunning views and location minutes walk from resteraunts and the beach. Yes there is a small walk from the Bach but not a problem with very little traffic and beautiful views in all directions.
Bus stop 2 mins walk will get you to Fira where you can change to visit the whole island with ease. €1.80 flat fare, on luxury coach.
Hotel is well planned with views across the sea, mountains, town of Kamari, good sized rooms, fantastic service, oitside jacuzie, beautiful indoor/outdoor restraunt next to pool. Pool bar. Very peaceful, relaxing and quiet - no parties/discos just calmness and serenity.
Staff responsive, helpful and accommodating. No mosquitos! Clean bedding, towels daily. air con. Palm trees, other pools, plants, sun loungers/ beds.
Some down sides, lack of coat hangers, can't drink tap,water (any where in Santorini except the natural spring behind the hotel on the mountain), can't flush toilet paper. (That's Santorini!) Travelled around Santorini and this was the most perfect base.

Possibly the nicest staff I have ever met.

Amazing breakfast, room, staff and pool. Really enjoyed our break as a young couple going on our first holiday together and we where treated so well and had a fab experience. The hill is a struggle to get up in the evening after a busy day but the quite and spectacular view was worth it. The lady that greeted us at reception on our first day was happy to spend 20 mins talking to us and telling us all about what the island has to offer and made some great recommendations including watching the sun set in Ola. Alex showed us round our room and set up the safe for us to use and carried our bags up to our room. the hotel was quite and really relaxing the and the staff where always there to help with any issue. I would 100% go back and my only regret was that I didn't book for longer.

Great Hospitality and a great hotel!

1. Great Hospitality. Gave us a double upgrade for our honeymoon! 2. Sweet Staff and very helpful in suggesting tourist spots and arranging stuff. 3. Great Location, near Kamari Beach. 4. Good food although a little more work on that wont hurt! 5. My only word of suggestion is to improve upon the comfort of room - Bed, TV, bath etc. Although its above average, but little more effort on that front will make it a MUST go! Will definitely be back if I visit Santorini again!

bad side of santorini

this hotel tried really hard to be great but just fell short on every aspect...we had a suite with a private pool so that was actually quite lovely, but everything else wasn't...the toilets and drains all give off an aroma of poo, the air-con barely worked, our bed canopy smelt of mildew

the majority of the staff weren't greek but showed very little understanding whether we spoke greek or english...the reception staff were welcoming, but were let down by everyone else

the food here was really bad, all of it...the cocktails were great, though

overall, this really isn't a part of santorini anyone should visit...the main town was dodgy, at best, and a feel of omonia square by the water

This hotel is well located ..150 meters from Kamari beach .....
Rooms are clean at first but the daily cleaning is not so professional and sometimes you smell bad odors from the lavabo ....

Concerning the employees there is one guy at reception he deserves to be the hotel manager his name is Costas ...he was very helpfull and generous ...

Ottima zona tranquilla con vista meravigliosa forse la migliore nella zona... In hotel direi che è difficile trovare qualche problema di qualsiasi tipo, si sta bene sia nelle stanze che in piscina e nelle zone ristorative... Insomma è un hotel che vale tanto anche grazie al personale preparato e molto simpatico ed accogliente!!!

The hotel is clean and godt. The breakfast is there what what we need, the only 1 swimming pool i thought the hotel have two.
Dimittering the night staff is very nice. We arrived at 23:30 dimitri welcome us, we got what we need. I hope he still there next time we travel her.
The only 1 the hotel need is a gym/fitness center. It’s could be very perfekt if the hotel have fitness room.

Poco distante dai rumori del lungomare di Kamari (la spiaggia più bella di Santorini) sorge l'Antinea. C'è da fare una bella salita per raggiungerlo, ma il problema si risolve agevolmente affittando uno scooter o quad a buon mercato. Personale gentilissimo, super colazione sempre varia, due belle piscine (consiglio una visita anche a quella più nascosta al primo piano). Soddisfattissimi, anche una bottiglia di vino ed una fetta di torta in camera l'ultima notte prima della partenza
