The owners and the whole staff are very friendly and always value your needs. The owner also give us a lift to the bus stop, breakfast is plenty and full.The hotel has a grand view of the Kamari beach.The swimming pool is very clean, so my family enjoying our swimming. The greatest staff ever. Family run hotel, everybody is extremely helpful, far beyond general expectations. Special thanks to George! Nice pool, fantastic panorama, and still just 8 minutes from Kamari beach, one of the best on Santorini. Restaurants, shops within 10 minutes. 4 star hotel according to Greek standards, and definitely excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful hotel that really cares for it's guests - feeding us when we arrived late, helping to look after our 3 year old when he was ill, & generally making us feel very welcome.
It's also just a great, comfortable & clean hotel, with excellent facilities. I can't recommend highly enough.

I have to rave about the Aegean View Hotel. The views, the staff, the rooms and outstanding service. I would give it 10 stars. They made our stay out extra special, they helped us out with transfers, car rentals, arranging for my birthday cake and so much more. This is a great hotel in a great location. We had a veranda overlooking the town and the sea and the family room had everything we needed and was attractive. The pool was a hit with the kids. The ‘buffet’ breakfast was served to us each day by friendly staff due to social distancing. Few minutes walk to the restaurants and beach...and couple minutes to drive up a terrifying road the Ancient Thera.

This is a family operated hotel, George, Zoe and the entire team was so wonderful! The property is well kept and located at a beautiful area away from the touristy craziness!! The staff is exceptional and the view incredible. The room, although it looked really nice, had horrible beds and the bathroom was a challenge (poor plumbing and a shower that makes the entire room wet). I want to emphasize that I truly cannot say enough about the WONDERFUL staff and the view. I would stay here again just for them!

I liked the personal touch. It is a family owned property and every single person went out of their way to make our stay really pleasant. I met families that have been coming here for years. I myself felt welcome like family and I can see their point
From vangelis to zoey to Lois to the owner his wife( I couldn’t get their names only because I don’t speak Greek) everyone was “nice”

Location is perfect. Perched on a height to have a good view of sea yet the the right amount of distance (5 minutes walk) to the noisy promenade

Online pictures must have been done with a very good photographer as the property is very dated and needs to be refurbished. There is a reason no bathroom pictures, I cannot believe how much I paid through expedia for this very old property. Staff was very nice but disappoint how much I paid for a very poor accommodation in Santorini.

If you want an ultra modern hotel - then this is not for you. But if you want outstanding service from a family run hotel then - this is well worth a visit.
The staff booked a car for us, booked our taxis and recommended restaurants and places of interest. They could not do enough for us.
Rooms could do with an update but they were very clean and we had clean towels every day.
Bring your own beach towels as none were provided.
It's a 5 minute walk to the beach bars and restaurants and 15 minutes to the airport.

A family gem

The family that run this hotel are amazing and friendly hosts nothing is too much trouble. The views are amazing and the beautiful tiny chapel adjacent is amazing and is beautiful inside. The beds are a little hard and that is the only improvement I could recommend. The hill is a bit of a climb but the views make up for it and we got a taxi some nights from kamari town for 8-10 euros. Vangellis and George both are very helpful and knowledgeable. The pizzas are lovely from the pool bar and everywhere is well cared for and spotless. A pleasure to stay here and would come again.

Aegean View Hotel is well located with nice views. The property is clean and rooms are spacious. The breakfast is good with enough options to get your day off with a good start. The family who run the hotel are very kind and there to help with anything you would need. I would recommend using the bus to get around, it is 1.80 euro and only 15 minutes to Fira. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A Very Nice Hotel

This is a good hotel and excellent value. It is in a quiet location about 15 minutes by car from the ferry port and Thira. It is close to the airport but not noisey. It is tucked against the cliffs and most room balconies
have an ocean view. The rooms are spacious. Our room had simple kitchenette. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Amazing family run hotel with fantastic views

We stayed at this hotel for a week and we are group of five. We all had a fabulous time, great food, always freshly done and good value, big portions too!! The room we had was very spacious for five of us and with a loft. Vangellis was very helpful and advised us what tours to go and very knowledgable about the island. The local bus stop , restaurants and shops just a few walks away. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and meet new friends. Thank you to all the family at Aegean view hotel for making our holiday so special from the moment we arrived and leave. Highly recommended.

Excellent views, good comfortable and clean room, nestled in the mountains with an amazing view of the sea. Loved to get up early and watch the sunrise. Swimming pool was clean and cozy. Local food made in the restaurant was amazing too. But the best were the people who treated us like family. It is a family run hotel and everyone had our comfort at the top of their list. With the hospitality we got, we really enjoyed our stay.
The only concern I had was I did not get good wifi inside the room. It may just be the construction that did not let the signals pierce through the walls too well. We sat outside our room on the patio and we were fine with the signal.

But this hotel needs major upgrade to do.
Everthing looks very old, Mattress was very hard, and shower did not drain well.
Wi-Fi did not work very well in the room.
I feel like review in Trip advisor was too much over rated. This hotel is not 4 Star hotel, but 5 plus for staff friendliness !

Nice hotel. The hotel is on a side of s mountain and within walking distance to the beach... A little uphill walk to get back to the hotel. Staff super nice and helpful. Breakfast is nice and adequate. Our room had a private jacuzzi. There are a lot of shops and restaurants within a walking distance.
Overall a good hotel for a reasonable price very close to Kamari beach.

We toured 6 cities in Greece and this was our favorite hotel. We were worried that it wasn't right on the beach but it was much better. Just a 5 min walk to the beach but a spectacular view from our balcony. We also loved the bar and pool area. Our family went up there every night for drinks after a long day. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was amazing.

A totally hidden oasis.

Very beautiful setting, against the mountain and facing the Aegian Sea. Attentive staff, good daily breakfast included. Close to the beach, away from the main crowd in Fira and Oia. If you have a rental car or planning on flying out, this would be a better area and place to stay. I only wish they have Wifi in the room.

The hotel owners are lovely and really try hard to make you feel welcome and at home. The hotel is tired and the roooms could use updating. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom was soaked whenever one of us showered as the water went everywhere. Wish I could give a better review as I really liked the management.

Aegean View - The best view of Kamari.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. First the service, the staff were really friendly and helpful for anything. This was the highlight. The room was clean, excellent mattresses, excellent view as the hotel is called (The name does not lie). Beautiful view of the sun rising when you wake up in the morning. The staff were very helpful for everything. Thank you to all of you. Santorini is a beautiful island to visit and this hotel is situated near Kamari beach which is excellent for swimming and offers lots of restaurants/bars/supermarkets, etc....

Lovely family run apartment - highly recommended

A must stay! Unbelievable Family and GREAT Service

I absolutely loved our stay! The hotel, family-owned, was more than accommodating to all our requests. I can't speak highly enough of them, from handling our VERY late-1:00 am check-in (Maria, daughter), to assisting us to our room (Tasso, the dad & his son), to the great staff. The rooms and villas are nestled in the mountain overlooking the Aegean. You have a very short walk down to the Black Beach, where you will also find plenty of restaurants, stores, tavernas, etc. The area is perfect b/c it is quiet, perfect for families. You will pay a lot less on the other side of the island where we were, in Kamari. Those areas are busier with more activity. Remember, for approx. 35e, you can rent a car (recommended) and tour the island for the day. It is roughly 12 miles, tip-to-tip. The car was brought to the hotel (!) and we were able to drop it off at the airport! The room was big and was perfect for our family of five. It is difficult to find rooms that sleep 4+. We had AC and a kitchenette. Nice pool. A well-stocked bar. Breakfast was free and the prices for the drinks were very great. WiFi is free in the lobby. You can purchase an access card for 5+ euros, depending on your service level. Fine for general browsing. Each family member was eager to please throughout our stay. A last note, as we checked-out, Tassos ran down and wished us well on our trip home and thanked us for our stay. Where else do you get that time of hospitality? Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Great place to stay in Kamari

We just returned from a fabulous trip that included 3 nights in Kamari Beach, Santorini at the Aegean View. We traveled with our two older children and the apartment style room was perfect w/ two single beds and a separate queen room for us. We stayed in room 501 which was ideally located close enough to the pool ,breakfast and lobby yet quiet with an expansive view of Kamari, the Aegean and its incredible sunrise!
The pool was great, the breakfast was abundant and good with a variety of items and made to order omelets. The staff was very helpful and polite. We had an early departure on Tuesday and they made us early breakfast and took us to the airport.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely small Greek run hotel in Kamari

We were warmly greeted by the staff who looked after us really well throughout our stay. We had a jaw-dropping view of the Aegean with amazing sunrises . The sea, shops and walks up to ancient Thira are very close. Our room was big with kitchenette (microwave, fridge and hob). It was so nice to have it cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Speak to Alex to get on some great excursions to the volcano and Oia for the sunset - fantastic! Oh and don't miss out on the Greek night !

Beautiful views and the most helpful staff

We could not be more pleased with views from this beautiful hotel and the kind and helpful staff. The hotel is located on a hill a short distance from town and the beach. The bus stop is also conveniently nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable with a lovely, large balcony. We hope to return before too long.

Plus points: lovely location, lovely view, very spacious room (as they all appear to be)

Negative/ less good: Dated bathroom and kitchenette fittings, very noisy fridge so had to turn off at night. Also noisy bathroom door handle!! (Not good if you share with a light sleeper. A double rather than king size bed. Bed was very squeaky! Dated decor. Breakfast ok. Would say the room was more the standard of a 3-4 star, rather than a 4 star.

We are a family with kids 10 and 8 , we really enjoyed our stay, the location is good few minutes walk if you want to take the bus to fira. The breakfast is basic but it is ok, the pool is very nice at opens until 10 pm. And the best is the view. The staff are so friendly and they booked our excursion to the volcano and the hot springs giving us a lot of advices to have a good time. Our room was quite big and comfy.

Great hotel in a wonderful location with amazing views and only a short walk to the beach. It's a family owned hotel, and it's clear that they care about their guests and go above and beyond to meet and exceed their guests' expectations. The room was large enough to comfortably host our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenage girls). We enjoyed the breakfast with made to order omelets. Overall, really nice hotel and would highly recommend it.

Off the beaten path

Aegean View Hotel is situated on the top of a hill overlooking the sea. It's within walking distance to restaurants, groceries, a bus stop and the beach in Kamari, where you can also get a water taxi to Perissa. It's a 15-minute drive from the airport.
Hotel staff are welcoming and the accommodations are spacious, but not fancy. All rooms have an outside space overlooking the pool and café, where you have both indoor and outdoor areas to take breakfast. Breakfast was a generous display of help yourself food - eggs, cold cuts, jams and bread, coffee or tea, juices - included with the cost of the room.
Kamari is a relatively quiet town, so if you want to be in the thick of the tourism scene, you will want to travel to either Fira or Oia. These are the towns one typically associates with Santorini, so you find more Americans in those towns.
