We had a lovely time overall. While the hotel didn’t quite live up to the pictures or expected standards, the location was excellent.

The rooms were in need of some TLC and lacked some basic necessities you’d expect from a beachside hotel with pool facilities—such as a clothes dryer on the balcony. A kettle was provided, which was appreciated, but there were no cups to use with it. Surprisingly, there was also no “Do Not Disturb” sign for the door.

The cleaning staff did a great job keeping the room tidy, though the mornings could be quite noisy. Being next to the domestic cupboard meant lots of chatter and walkie-talkies at full volume, which wasn’t very restful.

All in all, I wouldn’t return to this particular hotel, but for a last-minute getaway it was reasonably priced, and the fantastic location helped make up for the shortcomings.

I don’t like how the staffs don’t read signs, when you hag the do not disturb sign they will knock on your door before you even answer they use their keys and open your door, on our first night at the property they opened the door on us 3x in less the an hour.

We stayed in one of the updated rooms with balcony and private jacuzzi on the beach for our honeymoon and we were very pleased with the room and service! Great location on the beach, lots of food options nearby, and an all around excellent spot to stay. We can't speak to the quality of the less expensive rooms, because we went all out for the honeymoon, but we felt we got excellent value for the money we paid and it was well worth the price!

Stayed here for a trip in between changing jobs and it was everything we could have asked for. The staff were attentive and kind, our junior suite was a perfect size and we loved having the balcony. The beach was great and overall, Kamari was an excellent option for a peaceful holiday.

The room i had was lovely overlooking a private pool. Beach area was great i could sit all day and order food and drink. Never had to haggle for a sun bed and the staff that worked on the beach were fantastic nothing was ever to much for them .i intend on going back to the same hotel in the very near future. Bus to the other towns cost a mere 2 euros which meant i could tour on my own time which was also great.

Nice resort. But this hotel is not for me.

Reception staff very friendly. Breakfast good. Rooms clean. Pool nice but good luck getting a bed . There policy is to not allow people to reserve beds but for our 9 day duration we were unable to get around the main pool once. For us that was an issue because access into the sea is difficult for anyone with walking difficulties. Bedroom very comfortable and good air conditioning. Restaurant staff rude. The sea front is quite nice with a variation of bars and restaurants. I would go back to Santorini but due to my experience of the pool and restaurant definitely not to this hotel.

Afroditi is in a great location on Kamari beach. We had instant beach access and were close to many restaurants ane shops. The hotel itself was a let down. We paid for a jacuzzi room, and the water was luke warm at best. There is no storage for your clothes (outside of hanging) nor hooks for towels to dry - which brings me to my next point: the shower. It does not have a door and gets water everywhere in the bathroom. Mornings were loud and disruptive, and we woke up with new bug bites every day. The breakfast was tolerable; only ate once. Overall, the hotel was dirty, a bit smelly (cat litter/piss?) and outdated. Again, great location, but would recommended trying to find another spot for your stay in Santorini - especially if you're looking for a romantic environment. It's best suited for families.

Such a beautiful hotel. Supurbly clean and comfortable. The facilities were perfect, with several pools to choose from which were encompassed by the hotel so not every tourist walking by could look in to the pool area like many of the other hotels in the area.
Fantastic location right on the beach with easy access to so many restaurants and a lot less claustrophobic than fira or oia. Easy to catch a local bus into fira for 2euro :)

The staff were mostly nice and welcoming, however the first maisonette room was a bit dusty. We complained and they put us in a cleaner room the next morning.
The 2 biggest complaints were the lack of mirror in the bathroom as the hairdryer was fixed to the wall in there.
The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together that would push apart in the night so you would end up in a gap between mattresses.
The final thing is the amount of stairs was crazy, we had our young son with mobility issues having to climb a lot of stairs to reach the family rooms.
These rooms also have ladder type steps inside to separate the parents and Childrens rooms.
We liked the hotel in some ways but the maisonette room isn’t really toddler friendly.
Risk assessment on how these rooms are great for families needs to be done.
Santorini is very beautiful and people are lovely.

Most of the staff where great only a couple exceptions. One was the pool bartender (quite rude). No ice machines snd I was told to go buy some if I wanted it. Rudely! No one sold ice that was near the hotel. They only allow one key and there were 4 of us. Inconvenience! I would choose a different option if I returned.

We can’t find fault with Afrodite Venus Beach Hotel. The location is perfect, our room was great - the best mattress and pillows we’ve ever had! Our room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and pool towels each day. The pool area was great with a wonderful bar and barmen. The breakfast choice was amazing and the staff so friendly. We would go back tomorrow and will recommend it to all our friends.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. The location was excellent. There was lots of shopping nearby and a beautiful boardwalk right outside the back. There are also many chairs available for the guests that are free of charge along with an excellent pool. The beach is convenient to access and there is friendly staff to get you food and drinks were at the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting the Kamari area.

Great locations, lots to do. The biggest knocks are 1. The lack of seating around the pool and at the beach, in 5 days we’re we’re only able to find pool seating one time. Quite a let down. The beach was better, however, 2 of the days we found ourselves standing for an extended period of time waiting for chairs. The second big knock was the food, the breakfast is as bad as I have ever experienced. The other restaurant the food is much better but the options are very limited. Down at the beach the menu is very limited. Our server at the beach the first two days was FANTASTIC, the last three days he was gone and service was mediocre at best. Overall very nice location but the food and facilities were sub par.

Loved everything EXCEPT the pool and pool bar closed much too early, 6:00 PM, and they are VERY strict about their pool/beach towels. We only received two towels for a four person room. When I asked for more they were reluctant but I did receive. We were there for four days and when I asked for a fresh towel in day two they refused saying it is every three days. The towels they provide are heavy and do not dry easily so they begin to smell quickly, especially if used on the beach. If you can bring your own, you might want to.

Seriously, the towels and the pool closing are the only complaints I have. The staff were friendly (except the older woman that controlled the towels), the hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice. The location can’t be beat, near everything! Loved our stay here!

Lovely hotel on the beach front. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The chambermaids kept the room immaculately clean every day.
Lovely location and the rest of the island was easily accessible, either with local buses (which were packed) or quad bikes/scooters.
Only bad point was the breakfast. There was plenty to choose from but the hot buffet was not kept hot at all.

Went for our anniversary and had an amazing stay. We stayed in the newer section of the hotel and had our private hot tub and spa which was amazing! Some reviews do note that the hot tub isn't actually heated, however if you go during the summer months like we did then this isn't a problem at all (cool during the day and warm at night). The view of the black pebble beach and nearby cliff was really romantic. The hotel has a bar/restaurant by the beach and provides free sunbeds with umbrellas to their guests! There are lots of restaurants, shops and tour companies nearby and Kamari is a nice peaceful area of Santorini with less tourists. I really recommend this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful romantic getaway.

The WORST part of my 2 week trip in Greece

I don't have many good things to say about this hotel. While on a 2 week trip with my father thru Greece, we got stuck on an island, as there were high winds, so all ferries were cancelled. We pre booked all our accommodations and when our ferry to Santorini was cancelled, I immediately contacted the hotel to let them know. It took nearly 2 days for us to finally be able to catch a ferry. While on the ferry, we spoke to other passengers experiencing the same, who all confirmed the hotels were very understanding and refunded their money, especially since it was slow season. At the port, upon arrival, we learned the hotel was charging us more than the local rate for a ride to the airport, so we went with a local company. This was also the only hotel that did not include transportation in our stay. When we arrived to the hotel, we missed 2 paid days. When I tried to request a refund from the front desk. She directed me to operations. When I emailed operations to request a refund and let them know I write reviews for a living, I wanted to give them the chance to mend the situation. I received an email stating I was blackmailing them and refusing a refund or even a credit. Never have I ever been accused of blackmail. I booked \"the largest room\" in the hotel and had to walk sideways in it. No hand soap, no toilettries and no hand sanitizer (it's COVID time). The free breakfast was mediocre. The only good thing was the location and the beach. There are other, better hotels.

The staff was nice and kind and available at all time upon request. The pool is nice but there were not enough sunbeds when crowded with guests. The breakfast was fine but should vary, the sweets might be changed from time to time and the fruit basket looked old and not perfectly clean. The bedroom was spacious, towels and sheets clean. We got the junior suite with the jetted tub - used everyday after the beach. Great location and decent room. Shower head didnt work so there was a replacement one that you had to hold over your head - annoying. Also jetted tub couldve been cleaner, was questionable-coloured bubbles. Staff didn’t know how to turn it on either but we worked it out, because of the location, the spot on the beach and the variety of areas in the hotel to relax- we would definitely return.

Very central location, exit straight out on to beach front or main entrance to the quieter street behind.

Plenty of shops, mini supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

Breakfast was good, large selection available.

Allocated room 404 which had outside jacuzzi but being end room, the terrace area was much smaller than terraces next door. In grand scheme of things, not a big issue just made it more cramped for enjoying evening drinks

The bathrooms are in desperate need of restoration. The photos they show of the rooms with the outdoor jacuzzi are not the rooms they give you. We felt like we were walking into a dungeon. They won’t give you a second key for the room, which is crazy with two people per room. They are very rigid at the desk and unfriendly. The hotel is out of the way but the beach is really nice (bring beach shoes-super rocky)

I arrived at the hotel at 06:30am; check in wasn’t until 14:00, however the hotel kept the room empty the night before in anticipation of my early arrival at no extra cost to me. After travelling all night this was a welcome start to my holiday.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was compact but had everything we needed, good aircon and nice view looking out to the sea. We took a kettle with us as we knew there weren’t any tea making facilities before we arrived, we borrowed fresh cups each morning from the restaurant. The room had a free safe and a fridge. The breakfast buffet was nice, a typical Greek buffet breakfast.
The hotel was very clean and the pool area was lovely, we took a dip in the outdoor pool but being October it was a bit too cold to linger. Free towels and free sunbeds by the pool and on the beach out front, which was great. The hotel bar was very modern and trendy and played great music.
We did not use the spa facilities.

Great location - right on beach. Lounges, umbrellas, and beach towels provided at both beach and pool. Room had a separate area with a sofa bed and flatscreen so my daughter could watch TV without keeping me awake. Staff was very helpful and arranged pickup and dropoff from airport and explained everything about taking the bus to other areas of the island.

balcony and view were amazing, nothing else was.

I informed the hotel before we booked that I cannot have gluten or dairy they didn't say it would be an issue. I went for breakfast the first morning and told them, I was stunned to be told that they had nothing for me. The waiter's attitude was dreadful, the only thing that I could eat was boiled eggs which I had to have every morning. My cousin who has no problems with food had a cooked breakfast which she said was awful, after that first breakfast she ate croissants. We were disappointed with our room as there was hardly any room to put your clothes, the bed and sofa bed were hard and uncomfortable and we didn't get much sleep. the room was very sparse and disappointing, the best bit was the balcony and the view.

I couldn't fault the hotel in any way, from reception through to the restaurant manger and all the facilities in between. The courteous staff were really attentive and we felt like we were really well looked after. We had a suite that overlooked the promenade and the sea, the atmosphere was so relaxing, the other rooms all seemed to have a great view and close to one the pools around the complex. As we were half board we made good use of the breakfasts (great selection of fresh fruit, cereals, continental and hot breakfasts available) and the Mesogaia restaurant that is part of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and if you get the chance make sure you have the feta donuts and the chocolate sphere!!

This hotel is worth the cost! Has multiple pools, spa, and a big complementary breakfast buffet! The rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and the hotel is right in front of the black sand beach! It is also on a strip FULL of tourist shops, restaurants, and activities! I strongly recommend!!!

It was a very nice hotel. Our rooms were the smallest ones but still had a great time. Really close to the beach, though the pool was a bit small, good breakfast, really nice restaurant and bar looking at the ocean, and free parking!

Overall nice hotel, close to the beach

A much friendly hotel staff. We had half board but food outside is also cheap and portions too are good.
Much decent crowd.
For Spa/Jacuzi you have to pay extra..

It is a good hotel just the bathroom/ showers need deep cleaning..

Wonderful location. Pool area is great. Helpful and friendly staff. We were able to enjoy the pool after check out and use the shower room before our flight.

Only negatives: wifi wasn’t great, we didn’t find the pillows very comfortable and the breakfast buffet is just okay, more healthy options would be nice

Lovely hotel close to the beach, shops, restaurant

Spent a lovely week at the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars - in an ideal location. Local bus stop very near the hotel and easy to travel round the island by bus. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel close to the beach

The hotel is in a perfect location. On the beach with many bars & reaturants near by.
The only reason I have rated as a 4 is because the hotel is a little dated, although it was clean, tidy and comfortable. Our room was over looking the sea, however I think a lot of rooms wouldn't of had such a lovely view.
I would recommended the hotel though, just because of location!

Great stay but should upgrade wifi coverage!!

Very good location and kept clean. The wifi was desperate though i needed to go close to reception to get a good coverage. And with only 2 channel in TV thats in English(and its the news!!!) tou cant do much inside the room without good wifi reception. Otherwise overall still a great stay id go back again if wifi is upgraded.

Nice cost effective hotel close to the beach

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel, it has very good facilities and the staff are nice. The breakfast was average and not worth waking up early, the cleaning staff make significant noise when they do the near by rooms. The shower box in my room was tiny, not sure if this will be the case in other rooms. But overall the hotel's location is great, worth the money paid for it and I can recommend it to my friends

Good location and good facilities

Exactly how we remembered this hotel.Good food and swimming pool .Rooms a little tired deco wise but very clean.We had a sea view room which was great.However the only drawback was the continuous music that pervaded the whole area and went on until1.00am every night-on 1 occasion went on until 3.00am !!!
