What a cute, cozy hotel and a great location not too far from Gamla Stan. Very quaint hotel with an interesting history. Can't say enough about the front desk help and their assistance with taxis, directions, suggestions, etc... (Thanks, Isaac!)

Will recommend to others and will definitely stay here again upon my next visit to amazing Stockholm.

This is a very quaint and historic place to stay, and it does have atmosphere. However, the single room I stayed in had nowhere, apart from one hanging rail, to put any clothes. OK, for one night maybe but not for several. Maybe a bigger room would have had this facility? Not sure. No safe in room either, and very little space in the room.

There is a pleasant small side room where one can sit to read and relax, but nowhere else. Breakfast is adequate but the room in which it is served is not really sufficient for the numbers on a weekend. Much queueing and hovering for tables going on.

Safety is good, with a key entry system at the front gates and the area itself is always busy. Lots of decent restaurants and shops only a short distance away.

If you plan to stay here, opt for a larger room would be my advice, even if you are on your own.

I love this hotel. It is very charming and the staff is warm and welcoming. Sodermalm is a great part of Stockholm, with galleries, shops and restaurants, yet on the quiet side. It gives you the sense of living there instead of visiting in a tourist area. The only downside is the breakfast, which is sub par and crowded.

Perfect for our short break

We originally wanted to stay closer to the central station, as we had spent a few days in Gothenburg and had taken the train to Stockholm (highly recommended).However, because the Swedish transport system is cheap, very clean and convenient we decided to stay slightly further out. We decided against the sister hotel (Glashus) as it looked a little too modern and came across the Malmgård, a nice little hotel with an interesting history, in a quiet neighbourhood.
Friendly staff. Reception were chatty and very helpful with information and even offered the use of a microwave for our semi-cold takeaway dinner. Housekeeping were great. Nice clean room, bedding and bathroom.
Lovely buffet breakfast, although best to turn up early or late for breakfast as the dining room is packed at peak times. The staff were always around, making sure coffee and breakfast items were topped up.
Our room was small (standard double) but perfectly fine for a four night stay. There are a few areas in the hotel where you can sit and have a free coffee / tea etc. which was great after a day exploring.
Walkable to Gamla Stan although bus and metro stops are at the bottom of the road (direct to central terminus).
Plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk in the main street (Hornsgaten), and beware the local vintage / second hand shops...too many and not enough time ;-)
Will we stay here again on our next trip. Definitely!

Lovely hotel with a small downside

Lovely hotel with very friendly and welcoming service at the reception. We were able to check in 2 hours early and there was a coffee machine incl. oat milk which was great. The location is fantastic just a 4 mins walk from the metro station and 3 stops from the old town. The breakfast selection was good as well.
The only downside was the somewhat dark room despite 2 windows and very small and dark bathroom, which was a surprise.

Quirky place. Great staff

An old converted Manor House so it was quite quirky with lots of original features and appropriate furniture. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel lacks a restaurant or bar but you can buy drinks at the reception and consume in the courtyard. Our room was large with an amazing 4 poster bed. The bathroom however was tiny set in two converted wardrobes. The WC barely closed and smelled of urine. The shower was narrow but great water pressure and had a heated floor. Both had low headroom on entry.
Breakfast consisted of a continental style buffet with a nice selection. Definitely worth it.
Location wise it was a tad off the beaten track in a quiet residential location but the city could be walked to in 15/20mims or there was a metro stop very close by.
We paid a premium due to a large event in the city that coincided with our stay which made Thai feel a tad overpriced. But at its usual rates this is a hotel we would happily recommend.

This is a really nice hotel with great, friendly staff who are always friendly and really helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spacious although the bathroom is very small indeed.

Front desk check-in was quick and efficient. I think the guy checked us in name was Nick he was very good and helpful. The parking was limited on the property and they charge for it. Cheaper than parking on the street. Great location a lot of food options.

Good traditional hotel.

Lovely traditional Swedish hotel, which we have visited 3 times. We arrived after check-in was closed but an envelope with room keys and instructions was left for us in the lobby.
The room we were allocated, this time, was very small but had a good shower. The bed was small and pushed against one wall, the bed wasn’t comfortable for me and I didn’t sleep much at all on the first night. Fortunately, I slept better the 2nd night and that’s all we were there for.
We have had much better rooms previously.
The breakfast is good and plentiful, arrive before 8.30am or you will struggle to find a seat.
The outside space at the rear could be better utilised. The garden obviously hadn’t been touched over winter, but when there’s a good spell of sunshine, it needs to be ready for use.

Beautiful and unique historic property with a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The 24/7 coffee and tea area in the sun room was a very nice feature (which I used daily) and the complimentary breakfast provided a delicious variety of Swedish and continental options. My room was just the right size and the bed was comfy.

The location was quiet and felt residential while still being surrounded by shops and restaurants within very short walking distance. The subway stop at the end of the street provides very quick and easy access to the rest of the city.

I stayed in the hotel for a week while in Stockholm for a work conference, but when I bring my husband next time so we can explore the city as tourists, we will definitely be staying here!

This place is fun! Our daughter was with us, and the two rooms were very different, both fun. The breakfast was great. We walked there from the airport. It's close to a main road, so easy to find food and subway stop, but it's enough away that it's in a neighborhood and more quiet. There is a lift/elevator for heavy bags. Super enjoyable, we'll definitely go back.

This is a beautiful old manor. Our superior double room was spacious, had high ceilings and two large windows. The bathroom was a bit tight, but on par with other European hotel bathrooms in the same price range. The blow dryer was powerful and the soaps did the job. The breakfast was decent and having fika on the front patio was a joy.

We booked this very last minute as the owners of the apartment where we should have been staying at were in quarantine. We have been delighted with the hotel and our accommodation. The room is very spacious, clean and can't fault it. Superb buffet breakfast which is served in the dining room which was the original cellar. Tea and coffee available all the time in the conservatory (and croissants) which are all free. Drinks are also available to purchase from reception. Great location and it's very near the metro station. It's about a 20min walk towards the old town with plenty of shops and restaurants en route. Check out the Gondola restaurant, the views and food are spectacular. It's our first visit to Stockholm but it won't be our last. Would probably stay again at the same hotel.

J’ai eu quelques soucis avec mon avion, je suis arrivée très tard et le personnel s’est très bien organisé pour que je puisse avoir ma carte de chambre et trouver mon chemin sans problème. Le personnel est super réactif par message, et sont très gentils. Il y a pas mal de choix pour le petit déjeuner avec des spécialités de Suède. La chambre est très bien, propre, la salle de bain également. L’hôtel est très bien situé, il y a plusieurs stations de métro à côté, restaurants, supermarché comme COOP. Je recommande vraiment cet hôtel.

Trevligt rum med karaktär. Låg väldigt fint på Söder. Säkert och bra ställe. Parkering på låst innergård (begränsat, boka!). Trångt vid frukosten på lördagen, söndagen vard det lugnt vid frukosten. Rekommenderas!
