We had an early start and they went out of there way to provide us with breakfast earlier than the usual start time. Beautiful hotel. Very kind staff. We loved that we were about to get our laundry done at a small fee, that breakfast was included in our stay, and that they provided turn down service. The hotel is very close to many restaurants, we walked to the office of where our excursions were housed, and so many opportunities to shop and get coffee or ice-cream.

What an amazing place to explore Antigua from. The hotel is romantic and beautiful, with turndown service and hallways lit by candlelight at night. The morning breakfast on the rooftop terrace is amazing. It's a short walk to the city square and any of the major attractions.
But most importantly, the staff is incredible. Going out of their way to take care of your stay and make you feel at home like family, not like a guest. I couldn't recommend Posada del Angel more highly.

We were able to set up our transportation to and from the airport with them, which was convenient. They were also able to set up transportation if you just needed to get around Guatemala. Really loved this hotel! It had the unique boutique vibe with comfy living spaces and rooms that had so much Antigua flair. The breakfast was delicious also. Easy check in and warm staff. Only negative was the WiFi in the room was really slow. Couldn’t load pics or videos. I had to sit in the common living room area to connect but luckily it was comfortable out there. Downloaded what I needed to out there and would then watch in my room.

What a beautiful experience! The hotel staff and managers were exceptional! The continued everyday to go above and beyond with their attention and service! Upon entrance, I was told I was family for the week and I felt that every single day! The location was perfect. I could walk to everything but it was also on a quiet street. My room was always clean and perfect. I was able to relax on the beautiful terrace and feel so well taken care of. Delicious breakfast provided with exceptional service also! Highly recommend staying at La Posada del Angel! I can’t wait to return!

I stayed in 2 other more expensive hotels and this is the one I liked the most. Certainly the one I'll go back to whenever I find myself to be in Antigua Guatemala again. The quality of the products used are top notch, like everything else really. From the toiletries, all the way to the linen. The staff is so well-mannered, friendly, respectful and detail-oriented. The hotel itself is so well decorated, it's like travelling back in time to colonialism. Special mention to Natalia who treated me with so much kindness, patience and provided me with good recommendations and directions whilst also taking good photographs of myself. Also, to the cooks with their home-made style authentic guatemalan breakfast with locally sourced fresh quality ingredients that tempted me to go back just to have a taste of them again. Truly a gem! I wish i could rate it more than 5 stars. By the way, this is my first time reviewing anything on this site, so go figure how good my experience must have been for me to be doing it now.

Oasis of calm in Antigua
We had the most wonderful stay at La Posada del Angel. The staff went above and beyond - especially in ensuring we actually made it to the hotel from the airport, despite the bloqueos at the time. The hotel itself is a real oasis of calm, with a beautiful roof terrace and cozy living room area to relax in. The breakfast was great too (especially the huevos rancheros). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. We really can’t rate it highly enough.

My wife and I love quaint hotels that maintain the ambiance of the community in which will reside. Posada del Angel is a small 7 room facility with beautiful vistas of the local volcano (Volcan de Agua). The staff is friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. The staff speaks English if you do not speak Spanish, and their complementary breakfasts are superb! I highly recommend this place for people who wish ot have a flavor of Spanish style Guatemala. This is the most magical boutique hotel I've ever stayed in!! Charm from start to finish and such wonderful personal service from Hanibal! The room screams cozy from the off-the-charts thread count white linens topped with stunning comforters made from local fabrics. I am a hotel creature, i have stayed on 5 star hotels in US and other countries. However, this place, takes the cake. Waking up and having breakfast with a Volcano as a foreground is breathtaking every time. Town center is very close walk able distance. As soon as you check in, you will feel the warm hospitality. I mean, a concierge lighting up your fireplace at 2am because we were a little chilly, is service beyond service.
Although the price for this place is on the steeper side, i recommend staying even 1 night if you can.
I was worried about the noisy streets but this place is far enough that you don't hear any street noise. What else can i say, this place was one of the highlights of our trip.

Posada del Angel is just amazing. Our room was stunning, and the level of service is the best I have ever experienced. We loved having a delicious breakfast served every morning on our private terrace with views of the surrounding mountains. The full size jacuzzi in our bathroom was very nice as well.

My wife and I happen to get the roof-top suit, which was amazing and private. A private terrace next to our suit was an exquisite amenity and we truly enjoyed the view to Volcan de Agua.
