The location is very convenient, as you are close to all the shops and restaurants.

In the hotel itself, you can see lots of mould in the shower.

The coffee maker wouldn't work, I asked the cleaning supervisor for another machine and she said it would be done in 5 minutes, two hours later I asked the front desk and they assured me that it would be done, the next morning I realized that nothing has been done, I called the front desk again and they sent a staff to fix it which he couldn't, after sometime he brought another coffee machine which had the same problem, and finally they ordered me a coffee from the bar.

When I was leaving, the manager approached me to apologize and explain the difficulties the hotel is going through and when I checked out she had a small gift for the inconvenience I experienced.

I chose this hotel mainly because of its very central location, right next to where the HavaBus airport buses depart, and it turned out to be a great decision. Getting around was extremely easy. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, and the overall service was excellent. My room was spotless and well maintained, the bed was very comfortable, and the towels and linens were exceptionally clean and smelled fresh. I felt genuinely comfortable during my stay and was very satisfied overall. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit. The only minor downside was that the TV only offered cable channels. For a five-star hotel, it would be nice to have streaming platforms such as Netflix available. Other than that, everything was great.

we have been at point hotel 3 times in 8 weeks, this is the worst room we have experienced , everthough they call it a deluxe room (better than standard), the bathroom was dirty and needed a total replacement, the windows from bedroom was tinted with no outllook very bad totally your have to choose a room with lounge access to get a proper room, but we dont need the lounge access, we are in Istanbull every month, we will move back to Intercontinental on the other side of the street , a little more expensive but much better

We paid for a deluxe room after we saw pictures on their website, but we got a room far from being deluxe. The room was very little compared to what we saw on the pictures and we had no view at all. We had to draw the curtains because otherwise people could see us from the building right in front of us.

This hotel is very conveniently located just a short walk from Taksim Square and right in front of where the HAVAIST bus from the airport stops. Public transportation options are available in the square. The room we had was very nice and quite large, the largest room we had during our entire three week trip. I was just here for an overnight but it was perfect for me and would stay here again.

⚠️ THIS IS NOT A 5-STAR HOTEL — IT’S A 3-STAR AT BEST. AVOID.

Do not be fooled by the 5-star label. This hotel is no more than a 3-star facility with poor service and serious issues.

I was upgraded to a junior suite on the 8th floor — directly under a noisy 9th-floor kitchen or construction zone. Staff were already aware of the noise problem but still assigned the room. That night, from 8 PM to 2 AM, loud drilling and banging continued nonstop. I couldn’t sleep. Calls to the front desk achieved nothing. I even went in person — still, no action taken.

Worse, the hotel never informed me about ongoing construction, nor offered compensation. This is unacceptable.

Before the noise, the Wi-Fi didn’t work and there was no hot water until a technician fixed it. The next morning, I was moved back to a standard room — too late to fix the damage.

Let me be clear:
❌ Not a 5-star hotel.
❌ No proper service or accountability.
❌ Inconsistent, noisy facilities.
❌ You won’t get rest here.

✅ Only the location is convenient — close to the airport shuttle and Taksim Square.

But if you actually want to sleep, this is the worst possible choice. This hotel ruined my night in Istanbul. Don’t let it ruin yours. Stay elsewhere.

Excellent executive room. Very friendly staff. Great location as close to Taksim Square with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Good breakfast, but should have more European options. Superb room service for late dining. Would definitely recommend!

First of all, the staff at the reception was very slow and extremely rude. He was so rude that he was wagging his finger and several times he raised his voice at me, his behavior was almost like was to beat. The room cleaning was average. The window in the room cannot be opened, one cannot breathe fresh air. The bed was too soft, my back was in pain in the morning. The man who placed the buns at breakfast did so without wearing gloves. There was a long hair on the cheese plate. There was also hair in the cherry tomatoes I took on my plate. How can a hotel be this awful, it does not deserve its stars.

This was my second time staying in Point Hotel Taksim. I really enjoyed my time, the hotel is clean and close to Metro, shopping and lots of restaurants. Thanks to everyone and specially the Front office manager who upgraded our rooms. Highly recommend.

Everything was really great; however, it was very hot inside the room as the AC was not fully working since it was raining the first couple of days we were there and the central heating was on. The cleaning staff were great as well; however, they were very loud in the morning and we were awakened one day because of their loud and chatter. Nonetheless, all in all, the staff is ver friendly and the hotel is amazing.

The access of the lounge was a bit complicated as it was constantly closed, and we had to ask a team member to open it.
The last day, the reception called on the phone at least four times (since 10:30 am) to remind that the check out is at 12:00 pm

Also, the carpet in the room should be replaced especially for customers suffering from allergy (my case).

Nevertheless, the food are good. The team of the restaurant (9th floor) are amazing !

Disappointing stay compared to other hotels locally - steep steps up to front of property with no ramp for lugagge or support. Was charged ten euros for using the gym (which is poor quality and the hottest room in the hotel) - this is not made clear before booking or at check in. Staff in the gym reception was rude. Rooms were basic but fine.

Front desk Staff is rude and disrespectful. They speak over you and don’t want to listen.
Hotel wanted to scam me and the family by charging us 10 Euros a person per day to use the gym. Wanted to charge us 5 Euros for hair nets for the pool.
Checked my reservation and no mention of extra charges for these facilities.
Lack of restaurants in the hotel.
Would not recommend this place.

In fact it is not my first time in point hotel. This time everything was different, there is no air condition in the room and when we asked they talked about about the system is only for hot airflow. They gave me the room 732 where in the early morning 7:30 the room service start to prepare the trolley with too much noise. If a day we was late to leave the room in the morning, we came back to found the coffee and tea putted on the door without changing the cups or even washed it …

I absolutely loved my stay at the Point Hotel! The location of the hotel is within walking proximity to all the restaurants and transportation, especially Havaist, the bus to İstanbul Airport. The staff of the hotel is the most friendly and hospitable and the breakfast has many delicious varieties. Will definitely be staying here again at my next Istanbul trip!

My 300€ got stolen from my book bag while I went for breakfast. I’ve never been to a hotel where delux members have to pay before they swim, and aside paying 10€ to swim you’ve to buy a compulsory hair cover even if you’re bald headed for 4€. Scam!!!

During my 30 years traveling this is the last to none $300 a night supposedly suite maybe micro suite with no towels or basic amenities I tried my best to let it go but a dozen No
Talked to staff than management with no solution lounge should be called jail cafeteria
Pool was included but still they want $20 each
View is a wall disaster and disgrace to hospitality business and people of Turkey.

With going more in details stay away from this hotel
coming from some one in the hospitality
business .
Thank god Orbitz rep saved the day (trip) after 2 night they arrange for us to move to onother hotel
What a difference from A zero to 100
Glad they did we enjoyed the stay and Istanbul
One bad apple was going to ruin the whole basket
