The entire team at Markus were fantastic, very supportive and accommodating to all needs. The Markus is centrally located, close to the train station and easy to get around. If our travels take us back through Angers we'll be looking to book here again.

The owners of the hotel are lovely, they couldn’t do enough for you and Nathan who was front of house when we arrived was also super friendly and helpful.

Markus, formerly known as 21 Foch, just opened. It is a lovely 14-bedroom, boutique hotel. A coffee shop and beautiful outdoor space is slated for completion by September 2025, but guests may partake of breakfast onsite before then.
The hotel is close to the train station, and centrally located to attractions, shops, and restaurants. Despite proximity to the city landscape, the facility is quiet and peaceful. My room and the common areas were meticulously clean. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The beds are comfortable, the towels are thick, and amenities such as coffee, tea, and water are readily available. I would return here again and again!

The hotel location is good, I’m walking distance to the train station and the city center. Lots of restaurants around. The lobby was getting painted at the time we arrived, making the access difficult. Room was clean and spacious; but did not have any fridge or tea making facility, which was a letdown for us.

Lovely hotel with great access to all transport requirements. Flat walk from station or you can get tram to front door almost. The room was beautiful and breakfast was made to order. Great service and very friendly staff made our stay for 2 nights, very enjoyable.

So far so good. Proprietor is very nice and helpful. We have never traveled to France before so did not know customs. He has been very considerate! We have had a wonderful experience so far. We have checked out the castle of tapestry and the statues of David Angers, plus wandered around and found a small antique shop.

A wonderful boutique hotel with just 14 rooms over 3 floors. Breakfast at 16€ was worth every penny. Croissants, pain au chocolates, baguettes, with fresh orange juice, cremate (a local specialty) fruit salad, charcuterie and local cheese. I was disappointed that I could not understand french well enough to know that breakfast was sit down only. Even thought there were some guests in the room there was no sign of staff or coffee so I didn’t stay. One must learn patience in french restaurants.

Nice, small hotel centrally located in Angers. Parking is behind the hotel in a public parking garage. We arrived late, past 8 PM, but the restaurant's waiter helped us get in. BTW the restaurant was memorably wonderful, good that we had that waiter and good that we met the chef. we ordered the \"5 item plate\" but each dish was a surprise, beautiful to look at and delicious.

Spacious room, recently remodeled with nice furnishings. The downside is the entrance and lack of a lobby. There is a call button that no one answered, but we were able to get in as someone was leaving. There was no one on the \"lobby\" area at 3 in the afternoon and we had to look up the phone number to call some one to check us in. Otherwise, a nice accommodation.
