The room was clean, but the sink didn't drain. Bed was not comfortable, you could feel the springs. An hour prior to checkout a staff member opened the door, did not knock, and said hello and the left. I went to look who came by and I could see the lady walking down the hall. I wasn't about to shout down the hall to see what she needed. They also tack on an automatic charge of $16 per day at checkout. I've stayed here before and after the renovations. The cleanliness has not changed, but the character is gone. Honestly, it just felt like a standard chain hotel. I like to stay there because of the security, but after a staff member opened my door without knocking, I'll try a different hotel next time. I did notify them at checkout and about the sink, the response was dismissive.

I was repeatedly reminded of charges (such as $60 for prosecco in the room), and the interaction left me feeling as though I was asking for complimentary items rather than inquiring about available options. He suggested a room upgrade, which I happily paid for, and helped make the celebration feel special. All the handicapped parking was blocked off and used by the valet for two groups / parties at the hotel. This is unacceptable. I have a heart condition and made the valet move a car so I could park up front. To add insult to injury I was charged $30 for valet parking overnight. This was not my first stay at the Royal Park. But it may be my last.

My wife and I loved this hotel! We stayed in the Park Suite, and the aesthetic—both in the room and throughout the property—was meticulously designed. You can tell every detail was thought through.
Every staff member we interacted with was helpful, professional, and attentive. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Room service was quick, and the hotel amenities were excellent.

An unexpected deposit/hold of $1,100 was due at check in without any prior notice to my trip. In my experience with every hotel I’ve used this has been $100-$200. This was not planned for and I had only brought a majority of cash on my trip. This was embarrassing. I had to sit there and make transfers from banks to cover this outrageous deposit in front of my date.

Making remarks that were SO offensive. Me and my husband were so uncomfortable. For a high end hotel, we expected high end service. The hotel is beautiful, in a quiet location with lovely views. Everything was beautifully decorated for the winter holidays. My room was spacious, elegant and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient, and I especially enjoyed the welcome cocktail upon arrival. Parking was a challenge, as there were two large weddings happening in the hotel the evening I checked in. I didn’t expect to need to valet park my car, but nearly all of the available parking spaces were reserved for valet parking, and remained so for the weekend. However, the attendants were quick and efficient. Overall a very nice stay; if ever in the area again I would return!
