A lovely hotel and a great location

I’m a solo traveller, I live in the UK and travel to Gran Canaria twice a year.

This is my second time staying at the Corona Cedral. Both times times standards have been consistently excellent for this charming hotel.

When I’m searching for a place to stay in GC, I always require and look for rooms that are safe, the staff are switched on friendly, and helpful. I search for clean modern rooms, decent clean white bedding and towels, good WIFI which I can log on to with my phone and Laptop or Ipad, air conditioning, very easy and close public or taxi transportation and even closer access (walking distance) to restaurants, supermarkets/shops.

The Corona Cederal ticked all my boxes. The rooms actually look exactly as the pictures.

Nayra was very friendly, helpful, and fast with my check in. She was expecting me and provided the room details there and then -which are login codes to access the premises and your room. This was super helpful because I was overheating when getting to the property and just wanted to get to a cool room and shower.

The hotel is up a slight hill, in a quiet area approximately 5 mins walk away from the buses going both ways.

The new Morgan Mall, brick brack shops and restaurants is less than 10 mins walk and Puerto Rico Beach is 10 mins walk the opposite way. Both distances and pleasant as the scenery, heat and sunshine make you not even realise.

Fabulous location & great staff

Loved our stay here, the location is perfect at the bottom area of town (no hills to climb) close to shops & beach. The staff were lovely, in particular the cleaning staff who were in 5 days from 7. Room was comfortable & balcony fab! The only reason we didn't give a 5 star was due to a few small maintenance issues (balcony door lock, microwave door opening & leaky shower) however don't let that put you off, we had a great stay and would recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay . In a lovely location no steps!! Bonus!! Beautiful apartments inside with lovely big verandas . I had top floor apartment with table chairs 2 sun loungers . If you like quiet this is for you but still very close to the main commercial centre and near the beach . Couldn't fault it will definitely book again 😊.

We were on the last floor, quiet and cleaned every day. Very good location, bus stop just down the hill with bus nr 91 to the airport going every hour. Even though there were a few rooms with parties and music but that was not a problem as after 11-00 am everyone is sleeping and is very very quiet in general. The cats around were lovely too.

l have been going to Puerto Rico for many years but this was my first time staying here, we stayed in a 1 bed apt on the 3rd floor, the rooms are quite modern and very clean.. Its a really nice quiet complex, the reception is only open from 8am to 7pm, Antonio is really friendly and helpful there... These apts are only a 3 min walk down hill to the bus station that takes you straight to the airport for 5.45 euros which is very handy and is only a 10 min walk to the commercial center where you have all the bars and restaurants.

Just returned from a lovely stay in the corona cedral, loved every minute of it, fab apartments, great location, spotless clean, towels changed daily,

Huge shower for a studio apartment, air conditioning included in price, Antonio and cleaning staff helpful and accommodating, really can't fault this place, but if we're to make one recommendation it would be to supply a sweeping brush just to sweep up after eating,

Would definitely stay here again, 5 stars from us.

great location

This was our second stay at the property. We were in studio 104, which was close enough to pick up the Wi-Fi. Last year we were in 110 and had to sit by reception to pick up the Wi-Fi. The cats are friendly too, but won’t bother you.

We chose this (again) due to its location. We got the public bus from the airport and it’s not to big a hike to get to the apartments. As we were arriving around 8pm, I emailed before arrival and got a prompt reply from Antonio, advising where to get the keys. I asked for a safe key to he left too and it was. The keys were where Antonio said they would be.

Walkable from the Puerto Rico Shopping Centre and its variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Also walkable to the harbour area for any boat trips/restaurants and to the beach. We used the bus to get to Puerto Mogán and Maspalomas. We did hire a car for four days but public transport is easily accessible.

Although busy, we always managed to get a dumbed by the pool. If going to Gran Canaria again, we’d definitely choose Eó Corona Cedral

Nice, modern studio very close to the bus station. Note that the cheapest rooms are on the ground floor facing the pool (no other windows) and people are often walking past, so it lacks privacy compared to the rooms higher up.

Antonio on reception very helpful and good communication for the check-in procedure. Bread rolls delivered every morning. Most comfortable beds ever. Kenaida the maid was great and worked so hard and clean towels everyday..Nice central position of the apartments to get to the bus station and shopping area and beach . Very clean swimming pool and sunbeds always avaiable. Only a slight hill to get up to the apartments and not loads of stairs unlike some places in Puerto Rico. i No noise at night and good blackout curtains. Air conditioning very quiet and efficient. The only downside, the english TV channels were not worth watching, no ITV or BBC. Overall a very nice place to stay and excellent value for money.

Very nice small and friendly apart hotel.

Researched the hotel before I booked and was very pleased with it. It's very low key but clean and comfortable and well managed by Antonio and staff. We stayed in studio 108 on the ground floor, it was steps from the astro grass poolside and sun loungers which were always available. Supermarket just up the road. Welcome water and wine in room on arrival, fresh bread rolls on your terrace table every morning - lovely.Wifi good.

Lovely stay - a compact and well built studio flat, great location for town and bus stop (including capital and airport routes).

Lots of competition in Gran Canaria for self catered flats but very glad to have picked this one for its value for money, location, cleaniness and additions of fresh bread every morning and friendly local cats!

We had a slight problem with the boiler which went on the Sunday leaving no hot water, but the team were really honest about it and the shower (with heat) was amazing!

The cleaners did an amazing job and tried to clean everyday which we thought was great. The manager was very friendly and helpful too. Location was perfect as no taxis were needed at all. Spacious clean studio. Equipped kitchen and only ten steps from our patio door to the pool.
We got a bus from the airport and it isn’t too arduous a walk from the bus station (even with a large case) up a slight hill to the Corona Cedral. Buses go all over the island from Puerto Rico bus station. Only a short walk from the Corona Cedral to the shopping centre and/or the beach. Antonio in reception is there almost every day and the studio was cleaned regularly (and was spotless). There wasn't a hairdryer or iron in the room but I believe these can be borrowed from reception.
Only downside is no soap/toiletries provided and nowhere to hang the towels by the (double) sink. Lots of seats in the room and a table & chairs on our patio. Fresh bread delivered daily was delicious and very welcome. This meant we got a few supplies from the nearby supermarket and saved around €10/day for breakfast. There are many bars/restaurants in the nearby shopping centre if you do want to eat out but our neighbours seemed to eat in most evenings and there is enough kitchen equipment to cater yourself.
I would recommend this place and return.

Lovely clean one bedroom apartment on the first floor, simply furnished but more than adequate. Spotlessly clean, large south-facing balcony for sitting and sunbathing, quiet area so best nights sleep we've had in a holiday accommodation area! Wi-Fi is only really available down near the Manager's office but that is not really an issue. The Manager is a gentleman and nothing is too much trouble. We will stay at Corona Cedral in the future. in terms of getting around, the apartments are located less than 100 metres from the main Bus/Coach stop.

nice apartments in a good area very near to all amenities, rooms cleaned almost every day, floors 1 and 2 nice big balcony's with 2 chairs and sun loungers. air-con was a real bonus and beds really comfortable. we didn't do any cooking in apartment so cant really comment on that. the only downside was the shower if you were not careful you could easily flood the bathroom.

Stayed here for 13 days, it was all as expected from the description and previews reviews. The room is modern and clean, it is pretty close to the beach (5-10 mins walk depending on your speed). We had everything we needed in the room, couldn't ask for more. The reception is not 24 hours but we never had an issue with that. The bed was very comfy as well. Recommend!

Antonio is a star of this place, the rest is quite OK, but not more than. Missing wardrobe door, cold lighting in all the rooms, broken sink exhaust. Terrace was not cleaned. Missing fire alarm. Difficulties with finding the parking place next to the apartments, its almost impossible some days (as the result 200€ parking ticket initiated by a hotel staff first night we arrived, they just called the police to report the car standing on their private parking space instead of knocking the new guest's door).

Arrived at the hotel and was impressed with its aesthetic look,was given warm welcome by Patricia the receptionist . The room was lovely and very clean,the only unfortunate thing with our stay, was the non-functional air-conditioning system which was reported but no other room was available to move to. First techician sent, questioned our intelligence on how to operate it,basically a fob-off. The second technician was more receptive to our situation but stated it might be a big job but it being a weekend won't be dealt with until the following week. Eventually had to cope with it for the duration of our stay,in all the holiday was still a success.

Excellent location, close to the beach, shopping centre, small supermarket and no steps! It's not high up in the hills like most hotels there. Only a minute from the bus station for tour pick ups and buses to other towns is useful. Free large bottle of water and wine in your room on arrival. Free bread rolls every morning. Clean rooms, pool and family friendly. My room was one of the closest to the pool but had no issues with inconsiderate guests using it at ungodly hours and my initial concerns about noise came to nothing. Only downsides are the bathroom and toilet doors don't close properly and additional facilities are limited. Guy who runs it is very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Vi ble veldig skuffet over rommet. Studio i første etasje er kun ett rom og veldig små, med dusj og toalett innerst i et hjørne. Fikk etter hvert byttet til en leilighet i 3., den var mye bedre. Kaldt, lite basseng. Skittent «kunstig gress» rundt bassenget. Sola gikk ned ca 15:30 ved bassenget.

Städning väldigt bra. Balkongen med solstolar perfekt. Separat sovrum mot baksidan väldigt bra. Skulle vilja att det fanns tvål i badrummet både vid tvättställ och dusch. Plastredskap till teflonplåten i köket. Gärna en flaska vatten i kylskåpet om man kommer senare på kvällen.
