The apartment hotel is situated in the cosmopolitan area of Puerto Rico and is only 20 metres from the beach and a few metres from the shopping centre with bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife. The bus station is within around 500 m.

This complex was renovated in 2010 with materials and quality furnishings imported from Italy. It has a 24-hour reception with a safe and currency exchange service.

The air-conditioned establishment comprises a total of 86 accommodation units and features a restaurant, bar and car park. All rooms are equipped with a double bed, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio, Internet access and a safe.

The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower and hairdryer. The kitchens offer a fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities.

The rooms, were fantastic!
The interaction with Staff was minimal.
The pools although very nice and plenty in numbers were not heated, even with good sunny weather (in April), the pool water remained below comfortable, so its use was limited.
Breakfast was OK.
The SPA services were strangely all paid, not even sauna access was free for guests.
**Remember, the Tap water is not drinkable, so you will have to buy it everyday. the property does provide one bottle per person only on the first day.

This is an outstanding property for the price. The staff are amazing and can not do enough for the guests. The property is well looked after and the maintenance crew including the cleaning staff work around the clock to ensure your stay is immaculate.

The rooms are beautiful but I will say from our room 519 there was load music heard from 12-5am in the morning from a neighbouring property.

My one area I would say could do with some improving is the breakfast. I had breakfast at different times during the morning, early and late sittings and unfortunately the eggs were cold on all occasions. Other than this they had a lovely selection including traditional Greek options. Additional to this food served in the restaurants was of good quality.

Overall our staff was wonderful. The walk into Thira was about 15 mins and we were right onto the Main Street for dining and shopping. The bus station was also 10-15 mins to get to Oia and this was 2 euro per person. There really isn’t a better location at this price. There is also a supermarkets within 10 mins to buy essentials like water (cannot drink the tap water) for as little as 25c

Are flight was late out on our final day and the team were really accommodating allowing us to continue to use the facilities throughout the day. Providing fresh towels and there is an area on site to shower and freshen up.

We loved our stay in El Greco and will recommend to all our friends and family. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Nice hotel when visiting Santorini

Nice place to stay on Santorini. Only a 5-10 minute walk in Fira. Hotel itself was modern, clean and staff were friendly. Bed and sun loungers were very comfy. Pool towels are given to you from reception. Lovely air conditioned room. Be aware you have to pay the 10 euro tourist tax on arrival. We made use of the gym which was a great facility to have.
Things that slightly let the place down: not much variety at breakfast, eggs always consistently cold however tables and plates were always cleared promptly! We found lots of ants in our room on arrival and by the pool area. Saw some reviews regarding noise and as a light sleeper I had no noise complaints! Everything else was great and would definitely recommend.

However two major call outs that made the property a sub par stay -- (1) the staff was largely unhelpful, did not even provide a buggy service for anything but check in / check out even though one of the travellers had a medical condition; and (2) the water was not desalinated!!! shower water was extremely salty and same for tap water for brushing.....

We received an upgrade for our stay, the new room was more spacious. The staff was service oriented and very kind. Pools were incredibly pretty and well maintained.
Gym was a bit outdated but served its purpose.
Food was good but Fira’s restaurants offer a wider variety of food difficult to overcome.

The resort is very spacious and maintained well by the staff (they clean the common area from time to time). There are many swimming pools but unfortunately still cold for Apr (would be good if have an indoor pool or hot Jacuzzi). The front gate to supermarket is very near but the pavement is still under construction so the walk is a bit horrible as you might walk on the edge of the road and watch out the traffic. There's also a back end of exit which leads to a main road and has a few restaurants as well. I booked the loft style room for family to stay and it is quite spacious for the area. Kids liked the stay

Tourist are on vacation and do not expect that kind of rude behavior.
Example: the front desk said they do not remember their wifi password for the lobby - how pathetic and so full of lies.
Bathrooms stink of sewer. Breakfast has nothing to rave about.

I chose this hotel because one of the pools has gradual shallow steps - my elderly parent cannot climb up and down the usual vertical-style pool steps so this was a really important feature for us. It meant she was able to use the pool by walking in and out.

The hotel was generally lovely. The rooms had lots of space, were always clean, and the balcony was really appreciated.

All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The food was really good quality and well prepared. Plenty of option for breakfast. As a vegetarian, I sometimes found dinner options a bit repetitive, but it was always nice.

The location is really convenient. There is a beautiful view of sunset over the caldera from directly opposite the hotel! A short walk to the bus stations where there are buses to everywhere around the island.

I would happily stay at this hotel again.

Views around the properties were indisputable. The caldera sunset views are just across the road. The shops and restaurants are just 10 minutes walk . The hotel is just not too far from the main market square . Perfect location and the amazing service from the staff.would love to come back. We were upgraded to family room which included 2 rooms . My only disappointment was there was only one mirror.

The El Greco was great. A short walk into Fira with a beautiful view of the caldera from the front of the resort. We really liked that the resort was outside of the crowded part of Fira. Resort was beautiful, rooms are relatively plain on the inside but our room was large and had everything we needed, plus a view of the water on the opposite side of the island. The water on the island isn’t drinkable so they provide a few bottles at check in and give you a map showing you the nearest grocery (a very close 5 minute walk). There are multiple pools which were great, but it was frustrating that others came out at 6am and “reserved” chairs with towels even though they didn’t show for hours. Not El Greco’s fault though! Staff was very helpful and quickly booked us a car to wherever we needed to go on the island. Breakfast at the restaurant was good. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at El Greco!!!! The only difference between its advertisement and reality is that the main swimming pool seems bigger in the picture than it really is. Not a big deal, however! The pools are big enough for everyone. El Greco has three bigger pools and three really small - so that future visitors know. /// Their breakfast is great and offers a great variety. Their coffee is delicious! I recommend this hotel to those of you wishing to visit Santorini!

The staff at this property were mostly very helpful and friendly.

There was a time when I was arranging dinner reservations and transportation. I had been to earlier that to make local calls to reach the front desk to make the call for more. During my series of calls the person I spoke to questioned my need to make these calls and clearly sounded annoyed.

There is a sidewalk along the street for the 10 minute walk to town. People tend to park on this walkway forcing you to walk in the very busy road. Also, the walkway ends before you actually reach town which also forces walking in the road.

I realize that the hotel has no control over this situation but perhaps they could explain this before people venture out.

The property was beautiful and as I said most of the staff were wonderful.

Very positive first stay. We were fortunate to get a 300 level room which afforded views of the water in front and back. Staff was helpful. Food was good, not great. Pools were very cold (not heated) but refreshing in the heat of day. Location was convenient to Fira with shopping and plenty of food choices. Our room was in need of some paint.

Odd things: bathroom door opens up and hits toilet. Only one switch for all the lights so you had all or nothing. No good cooking utensils for the kitchen or a frying pan. No paper products like towels or Kleenex.

Great things: the views! Choice of pools and two restaurants on property. Easy walk into town. WIFI connection worked well. Employees were all very helpful.

We would stay again here but spend meals more off property.

We had a lovely stay at El Greco. They organised transport from the ferry to the hotel. This was €35 for semi private transfer but we had the vehicle to ourselves. The breakfast was excellent. A good range of fruits, eggs and bacon as well as cereals and pastries. The staff were extremely welcoming at breakfast. Great range of drink choices for morning juices, teas and coffee. We loved a long slow breakfast!!!! We also made use of the gym, it was small but it had everything you need for a workout. The three pools meant that it didn’t feel overcrowded. We could easily walk to Thira and from there we also caught to bus to Oia for €1.60. Lovely stay at El Greco, I would recommend this to my friends.

Great hotel. Convenient location for Thira town centre being just a 10-15 minute walk. Friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of amenities and pools. Usual problem of people putting their towels on sunbeds at silly o’clock then not returning to them , sometimes until the afternoon. But that’s a general problem elsewhere too….would definitely return if go back to Santorini which was everything we expected it to be

The resort had great location to the center of Fira (10-15 min walk). The breakfast was good. Lots of pools to choose from, but limited number of lounge chairs. Pool towels need to be updated. Overall the resort was very big and pretty. The staff was friendly, especially Maria, the concierge. Maria was extremely helpful throughout our stay, she helped us rent a car quick and easily to move around the island and recommended activities and places to eat. We highly recommend this resort.

Property should at least offer in the lobby drinking water, I understand that drinkable water is not provided by the city but a establishment like El Greco with all the mediums they have they can invest in a system that offer drinkable water at least in the lobby and in some fountain stations in the complex.

The hotel was contacted twice to arrange pick up from the port but they failed to do so, the reception lady’s were very rude and not helpful. The room was clean but had stains on the mirror, tape on the hairdryer and the beds are so uncomfortable I wouldn’t stay here again over priced for what it is. The lunch food and cocktails are also very average, breakfast was nice.

El Greco is absolutely beautiful. We had to leave our other accommodation after one night due to its poor standard and were blessed that this hotel had availability at such short notice. The staff are incredibly kind and after hearing our experience, they managed to arrange for our room to be ready earlier than check in. They also kept our luggage safe after check out and allowed the use of the facilities until it was time to leave for the airport. Could not recommend El Greco enough!

Our stay at El Greco Resort was very relaxing. We flew into Santorini at the tail end of a long European vacation. We were looking to relax at the pool and get some sun. What is nice about El Greco is it’s location in the middle of the island. Everything is a 20-30 min cab ride (Oia, Akrotiri) or a 10 minute walk. We used the company Blue Sky that was recommended by the concierge to get around, they were very dependable and affordable.

The staff at the bar and front desk were so accommodating, we felt like family. If you do end up choosing El Greco, say hello to Gregory the cat for me.

The property is located 10 minutes walk from the center of Fira which makes it really convenient. Stuff was extremely helpful, especially Maria the Concierge. Be aware of salty water for showering and brushing your teeth all over the island, drinking bottled mineral water only!!
