Unfortunately the room I was in was located near a staff access lift, and in the mornings the noise made it very difficult to sleep. This is a 1950's era hotel, which like most hotels in Argentina, is kept very clean, but suffering some neglect from this countries failing economy. Curtains, furnishing, etc, are all aged. My room did not have a fridge or in room adjustable airconditioning. It did have a nice balcony. But the staff were very friendly and it has a great central location. For the price it was fine.

charm of oak handkerchief panels. Leather chairs and sofas.
Breakfast is sumptuous with an assortment of croissants, pies (coconut, pear, pastafrola, etc) plus fruits, and juices. For the moment there is no wifi but if you care for the unique experience. It is a must. Most of the clientele are locals.

Old hotel with very low maintenance, specially to the bathroom. The toilet seat was old to a point that the wood structure could be seen. The bath tube edges with the wall had black spots like fungus. I used my sandals for taking shower.
I had to change rooms as the first one was so noise that I slept only 4 hours. The second one was better but when I tried to rise the external curtain, the pulling belt failed. I had to stay in complete dark.
In the dinning room you can see a black stain in the coffe kettle as it had never been replaced.

I grew up in this town and had to travel for family matters, and needed to stay in an hotel. I felt being cared for, all my needs where taken care, the food... oh my God!!! The food is so incredible excellent. Staff is very friendly and ready to solve any issue to comes across. If I ever go back, I plan to stay there again. Location is also super-convenient!!!

We stayed at the austral hotel for only one night as it was a stop over on the way to Puerto matryn. We were on the 5th floor and found out Internet was a little slow in our bedroom however if we sat in the lift area on the 5th floor the Internet was great. Overall everything was great and would definitely stay there again.

I think the hotel is a 3-star tending on 4, a little older but still very good. The restaurant is decent and a great convenience, laundry excellent. The lobby is lovely, a great place for a cocktail, reading free paper, etc. Breakfast good but could be better. Personnel attentive.

the receptionist turns it on for the whole hotel. On the other hand, the personnel are very helpful. My car had a flat tire when I arrived, and I asked the
receptionist where there was a garage that I could take it to for changing. A bellhop, Raul, overheard our conversation and said he could probably change it himself, which he then proceeded to do. Yesterday, six days after leaving, I realized I had left behind a roll of film with 24 photos on it. So today I called the hotel and asked if it had been turned in. The receptionist remembered me, said he had the roll in his desk, and would mail it out tomorrow. This kind of service more than compensates for the hotel's lack of modern amenities. Also, the hotel's restaurant has a good menu at reasonable prices.

Vi rejste i starten af marts og enten har hotellet ændret karakter siden billederne og beskrivelsen blev lavet, eller også var vi bare MEGET uheldige. Vi fik et værelse på 5. sal, hvor airconditionanlægget var et hul i væggen, et tv, hvor ingen kanaler var skarpe, tapetet, som var ved at falde af og en morgenmad, som bestod af nogle tørre croissanter, vandet yoghurt og nogle kager. Personalet var venlige og forsøgte at gøre det bedste.
