Excellent, what a beautiful place to stay in the heart of the Cotswolds, highly recommend! The suite rooms are absolutely beautiful and such a wonderful treat! A special mention for the lovely guy on reception who checked us in, and really did make us feel most welcome, he was extremely informative and nothing was ever too much trouble! He also served us for breakfast today - thank you :)

Stayed in the superior suite (London Rd no3), and although the hotel was lovely I found hairs all over the bath, the mattress and the pillows. When I pulled back sheet on the bed there were crumbs over the sheet and a dead insect. I also found urine stains on the mattress. The fridge also had stagnant water in and smelled really strongly of fish every time it was opened. When I emailed the general manager he took a week to respond and simply offered 25% off a return stay. Unfortunately I would not stay here again due to the cleanliness. As this was a £600 a night room I was really disappointed.

I had a lovely stay at the Wild Thyme and Honey. However I purchased the room with the prviate bath, unfortunatley there was a leak from the bath and we had to escalate this to the staff at 21:00pm.

Fantastic, went above and beyond. Went for my partner’s birthday and she loved it. They couldn’t have done enough. The personal tour around the premises was the most in detail one I’ve ever had. This hotel is gorgeous for a peaceful getaway. I stayed for my birthday and in the room was a card and some complimentary chocolates. Also complimentary sloe gin! The room is cosy and with everything you’d need. I was most impressed by the food here! I couldn’t believe the breakfast was included, you get a cooked meal from the menu as well as fruit and pastries from the buffet. I’d encourage everyone staying to book dinner at The Crown! The food was incredible and the staff very accommodating.

An honest review!
When we first arrived, it took 20 minutes for someone to come to the check in desk. I was told that we could have the room from 13:00 if I paid a £25 fee, which I agreed to. On arrival the room wasn’t ready until 15:00, but there was no early payment charged thankfully. We were shown your room, and told that we had Netflix available in our room, and to help ourselves to their pantry if we needed supplies of anything. We went out for tea and returned back to the hotel. When we tried to click on Netflix, it said network error. We watched ITV so weren’t too fussed that Netflix wasn’t working, but to some this would be an issue. The pantry was code locked, and we weren’t left the code to access it. We went down to reception and nobody was at the desk so returned to our room, where we tried to call reception 20 minutes later and no reply. We also called the night porter in case he has started his shift and no reply either so we couldn’t access this for towels / teabags. Overall the room was clean and warm, but let down by small things that happened on our stay.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting the Cotswold's and it was a fantastic stay. It is close to all the main little towns you would want to see (all within a 45min drive) but, it is also completed secluded which is so nice too.

We had a lovely one night stay here, the food was really good and the breakfast menu included in the room rate we were really impressed with, staff were friendly and helpful the only thing that we didn’t like was as we had to check in later due to getting stuck in traffic there was a lack of parking spaces available we found. Everything from the beautiful room with small touches, to the friendly staff to the incredible food at the crown restaurant, it was all perfect. What a beautiful hotel! The restaurant and bar are great, as well, the breakfast. The atmosphere of the place is so warm, and the little bottle of milk in the morning by the door is adorable. And because they are dog friendly, it is so nice to see them around. Loved it.

A beautiful hotel with so much taught put into everything. From the personalised welcome for our anniversary (they even had our favourite radio station playing in the room, I know it's a coincidence) to the amazing staff who are polite, attentive and welcoming. The location is spectacular and our room overlooked a stream of trout and ducks which was pleasant to wake up to the sound of running water. The food was splendid for both breakfast and dinner. We will surely visit again.
