The doors to the units must be closed with a bang. Don’t go on a weekend. They have weddings etc and the drunken louts next door to me caused me to move to another room at 3am. Shower door leaked water onto the floor in a large puddle. You can hear everything in your room. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is our second stay at The Derougemont Manor and it was great. This time we stayed in a family room which had plenty of space for a family of four including a travel cot.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and remembered us from our previous visit.
Breakfast was very tasty and had a good range for continental options.

Staff at this place are amazing and can’t do enough for you, rooms are always spotless. Food is very hit and miss, can be good or can be bad depending on what you order from the very limited menu that apparently is meant to change monthly but it doesn’t. Main reason to go to this hotel is the staff are great, might be worth eating elsewhere though.

This is my favourite place to stay when working away. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is great, it is very clean and tidy. The place has a lovely feel and as a female solo guest, I feel very safe in their hands and always get a perfect nights sleep.

Staff were nice, but age of hotel meant getting to the room difficult as no lift and parts like a rabbit warren. Wi-Fi in room was very poor. Breakfast ok. The staff were lovely, and I'd only come back due to them, you can tell this place had its hay day back when it was first built, sadly, now its a shell of its former self. No air con in any room, and only small desk fans were issued per room, our room was on the second floor, and when you walked in it was a lazy 25-27 degrees!!!!. The staff were helpful enough to track down a spare fan, but yeah ... old tired and had it id say about this place.

The hotel is lovely from the outside, the grounds are stunning and the staff are very welcoming. The rooms, however, are in desperate need of an upgrade. The contrast between the rooms shown online and the room I got couldn’t be further apart. No wifi, outdated decor, broken TV. If I’d booked this for a leisurely stay I would be asking for my money back. £129 for what I got it scandalous. Beer was flat, food was mediocre but the staff are a credit to the hotel. Was over the moon to finally check out after a two-night stay. Never again !

Been here before and it was a great stay. The only thing that I will mention that this type not enough consideration has been given to the persons staying over.
The room next to me have been quite entertaining throughout the night. Despite the fact that they have had room service a couple of times past midnight and the invoices have been slipped under the door nobody told them to quiet down. At 4 am they could still be heard through the entire corridor!

Room was comfortable. Bed needs topper as divide in middle has a gap and very uncomfortable ( think two singles have been pushed together) Great reception on checkin, very helpful. Breakfast was terrible. Pot of coffee and tea were both srine cold. Full English ... poached egg overcooked and sausage raw in middle ! Salmon and scrambled eggs was good.

From the exterior the property is pretty and it has nice grounds. But the rooms have no sound insulation and need a renovation. There were broken bathroom tiles, peeling paint and stained grouting. Also shower heads that were old and full of lime scale, and in one of the rooms the radiator was not working, I had a three nights stay and had to change rooms 3 times due to some of the issues mentioned above. Though the staff were accommodating and friendly that does not make up for the condition of the rooms, stained cutlery, cups and tea pots.

Booked this hotel due to its convenient location as a stopover to break down a long driving trip from the other side of France to the north of England. Although I can't fault the staff that were extremely professional, friendly and helpful, I didn't sleep well due to the creaking floor and stairs outside of my room when other guests walked past, the loud bathroom fans in adjacent bedrooms and the noise of cars passing (my window overlooked the main road). The bed (a single bed) wasn't very comfortable either.
The building is beautiful and full of character, and I guess some of the issues come with the age of the building, but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a good night sleep.

For the price we paid it wasn’t nothing special at all. Thee Tv was super small, the pool wasn’t heated as it said on the description. The Gym was dated. The food overpriced. The room was like a standard room I stay in for £50. The seating in the bar area was geared around 8 people sitting in one area so many people sat near each other that don’t know one another. The breakfast was poor, no fruit and not self service to choose what you wanted and how much. The internet was very poor. The pub further up the road was the place to eat. Staff were friendly and parking was free so all good there. If this hotel was half the price paid it would be worth it.

The room was a little grubby/dusty and generally felt a bit dirty. One of the pillows had a brown stain inside and there was smears and dirt / cobwebs on the windows. Not worth £106 a night for an \"executive room\"

The Hotel overall is ok. The room was clean and had everything you would expect, the only issue is the doors are dated and not sound proofed so the noise from the corridor is loud. The food in the restaurant is extremely expensive (£18 - £25 for mains) and was absolutely terrible. They obviously dont employ a chef, so how they think they can charge those prices is beyond. For satay chicken i was given four small pieces of plain chicken and a pot of hard peanut butter on the side. Overcooked salmon on a bed of packet noodles for main.

Our room was freezing cold, we called reception who told us to turn the radiator on via the vale, the room still didn’t warm up after we did this, breakfast was horrid the hash browns seemed to have been cooked hours before. Such a shame the hotel is actually very pleasing to the eye.

Had no water in the room until the morning we booked out. Also we found that the room was not the cleanest that we have stayed in, the top of the bed was covered in a thick layer of dust. The beds were very uncomfortable and as a result we did not sleep properly. We paid for breakfast and found that the cooked breakfast was very small and was cold. The continental breakfast was very limited. When speaking to the receptionist about all of the issues I was informed that the Manager would be contacting everyone who was affected by the water issue when he came in. I'm still waiting for the call.

Overpriced and needs updating
Hotel was okay but very expensive for what you get. Hotel is dated and starting to be a bit dilapidated and scruffy. Bathroom aren’t great, all grout is now yellowing, flush on toilet was awful and shower was poor. The roller bling in the room had lots of flies stuck in it. For how much it costs this was disappointing and you’d think the money would be put back into the hotel to fix these issues. Breakfast was so disorganised, took ages for anyone to come round and offer us coffee, the buffet wasn’t re stocked ( this was in the middle of the breakfast period not the end) and I had to ask a waitress for a bowl to get some cereal as there weren’t any. For the price and what you get I wouldn’t stay again.

To describe this hotel in one word, TIRED. The place desperately needs a refurb. The gym was an utter disgrace, it was filthy. In the current climate this is absolutely unacceptable. Food was also a huge disappointment. Our company will not back.
