The Victoria Safari Club is like an oasis, beautifully located and very quiet. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The minibar was filled daily with the guest's preferred drinks :-) The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate the wishes of every single guest and we felt spoilt and so well looked after. The food is delicious and the complimentary Happy Hour drinks and nibbles were a great treat. A complimentary bus is available to go to the Falls and every single staff member - from the bus drivers, cleaning staff, reception and kitchen - gives their absolute best to make it an unforgettable stay. We will certainly come back to the Club and thanks to the entire team!

I highly recommend the safari club, exclusive to club residents only meant less people, pool was great, staff went above and beyond to meet every requirement. Peaceful and has that African feel. Food and service is excellent. Complementary shuttle around town and to the falls is very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed in many hotels all over the world but this one goes in my top 10! The staff are excellent with white glove treatment on everything. The ambiance is great. And it's a true VIP vacation experience throughout the stay. I've never had such a good hotel in Africa. Highly recommended!

The staff at the hotel is just amazing! The food is the only disappointing factor. The execution of each dish was just poor. I sent a steak back because I ordered it medium and it came to my table almost raw. For the food only it was 3/5. Everything else was wonderful!

Very nice hotel with 3 restaurant options, however comes with a few issues.

The main issue with the Club is that the Lodge suites are in a far better position with views of the waterhole despite the former being the more premium option. Similarly the pool area in the Lodge is better served with a bar whereas the exclusive Club pool area is left with a sort of derelict area where a bar presumably ought to be.

Service in the lodge restaurant is quite slow but you do eventually get what you ordered. In the Club restaurant service is far more attentive but whether you get what you ordered first time is something of a roulette. Cannot fault the quality of the food in either however, and the complimentary afternoon tea in Club is very nice. The Boma restaurant comes highly recommended but was not something we tried on this trip. Breakfast in the club is nice but can be pretty cold by the time it makes it to your table - they could do with heating the plates I think. It isn't served until 7 however which can be a nuisance for a lot of activities with 6am pickups - they do offer a 'on the go' breakfast which is alright but it'd be nice if you could order early room service breakfast given the price point.

The shuttle down to the falls is handy and I would say a necessary addition though the street sellers at the drop off/collection point can be annoying - not that there is much the hotel themselves can do about them!

Spectacular service and resort

Amazing staff and property. The service--every person (check-in, cleaning, concierge, restaurant)--was incredible and friendly. The facilities are all first-rate. We especially enjoyed views of the watering hole and watching the elephants visit there.
My only suggestion is to bring smaller U.S. bills ($1 and $5); we were not able to break larger ones on site.

Amazing view of sunsets and a private water hole. The Buffalo Bar is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. Arranged covid testing right on site as well as airport transfers. About an 8 minute cab ride from the city center, 15 min from the falls.

A little confusing the names. We stayed at the “safari club” part. The safari lodge is also nice. Hard to tell things a part but all nice!

Beautiful setting and excellent facilities, decor, amenities. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and all have great views over the bush and water holes. Breakfast buffet and a la carte were sumptuous and high tea and 'happy hour' tapas and drinks featured daily. From the lodge lounge and restaurant we could observe the glorious sunsets and animals gathering at the water. The team were all friendly and eager to assist with any queries or requests. A shuttle bus was provided hourly into town and Victoria Falls.

Falls and safari, best of both worlds!!!

Fantastic location on the edge of the national park overlooking a watering hole with lots of wildlife, and an hourly shuttle to town to drop you right outside the falls entrance!

Staff are all friendly and willing to help however they can, arranged lots of tours for us and all went smoothly. There’s a very informative Vulture Feeding daily at 1pm with a knowledgeable guide.

Food was great and catered well for my vegetarian/gluten free requirements too.

And no \"extras\" really.. free minibar.. free afternoon tea looking over elephants at the watering hole.. free cocktails to watch the sun go down. Free laundry when needed. Free shuttle into town and to VFalls. Wonderful hotel team. Nothing was too much trouble. Great dining choices and wines. Great pool to swim in and relax by. Just brilliant..

Slight mix up when we arrived - despite booking hotel transfer from airport with hotel, they dropped us at the Lodge rather than the Club who has no record of our bookings. Mix up sorted, the Club staff were extremely welcoming. The rooms were large and well-appointed including a complimentary mini-bar, balcony and well-stocked amenities. They’d thought of everything! Breakfast was delicious - with both buffet options and items cooked to order. The addition of complementary afternoon tea and sundowners were a really nice touch. Dinner and drinks were a bit expensive, but this is representative of Zimbabwe as a whole rather than just the hotel. The pool is small, but delightful and peaceful - at the time we went we had the whole area to ourselves. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again!

I'm back home and I still think about the experience I had at Victoria Falls Safari Club!
Staff made us feel so special, we loved the exclusiveness of the Club. Rooms were spacious. We had our own waterhole viewing where we watched the animals go on with their day.
Vulture feedings everyday is specular, we love how they're doing their bit for nature.
It was our honeymoon however we had not told them upon arrival and they just made it feel like that special anyway!
Highly recommended and we will be back!

We had a disappointing experience with Victoria Falls Safari Club. We had booked with the Safari Club through Expedia but upon arrival at the hotel found out that the Safari Club was under construction and unavailable. We were therefore being switched to a room at the Lodge. The issue was that we booked through Expedia and not through the hotel directly so there was nothing they could do regarding reimbursement. The Lodge room no where near as nice as staying at the Safari Club and we paid almost $400 a night for our room. We also traveled with two other groups of friends who had done the same thing. They were upgraded to a deluxe suite (two floors, incredible views) at no additional cost while my friend and I were sent to a tiny room with no view for the same price. The worst part was that the staff tried to hide that this was happening. They told us that we all had the same upgrade but when we saw our friends rooms we were floored that all of us were paying the same price for such different experiences. Honestly, we wouldn't have cared either way if they had been upfront and honest about it from the beginning. Outside of that, the service was impeccable but it was a horrible first impression.

Luxury in the Heart of Vic Falls

Gorgeous private setting with staff ready to welcome you the minute you arrive. The A/C and WiFi are excellent (best I had on my trip to SA-Zimbabwe). They provide mosquito netting and Peaceful Sleep (mosquito repellent) to make the room extra comfortable. Hourly shuttle bus to town makes it easy to get around. I wish I could have stayed longer!. Highly recommend!

Incredible stay. Under the guidance of Augustine the Club staff provide outstanding service. Thank you Grace at tour desk, Ronald at reception, Moses the staff game wardenfor his vulture expertise and advice before my Kruger safari ! There is a formidable attention to detail in addition to getting pampered in luxury in a truly amazing setting where wildlife litterally come towards you while safe on a terrace overlooking waterholes having breakfast ! The rural village tour is a remarkable human experience but ask advice on what you can purchase on site as useful gifts for the village families and Mondi Primary School. Direct money donations too make a huge difference. The heli ride over the falls and region gives you a totally different perspective from on foot. I am a seasoned traveller but my stay at the Club is one of my best experiences ever ! Chris from Quebec City,Canada

A slice of heaven in Vic Falls. Recommended

Lovely resort hotel. Really loved it except for a few minor things: were not informed that the 'stocked minibar' was only stocked once per day and if you drank it you had to pay for more. Either it's a 5 star club like a regular hotel executive club where you get access to drinks for free all day or at least be very very clear in the description what it is exactly. On that note, let this VIP trip allow you to order free drinks in the main common area rather than this nit-picking around when it's free and when it's not. I think that confusion detracted from what was otherwise a lovely hotel, great service and over all experience. Also the pick up to return to the airport was confused and we ended up being rushed to get out of the room. Shame as this was the last contact point we had with the hotel.

Bite the bullet !

Victoria Falls accommodation is a baffling conundrum and choice for travellers. After much deliberation I came to the conclusion that if I was going to get fleeced I might as well go all in. To be fair, they had a right go at justifying the £400 + paid. The room was excellent and the view over the waterhole great. The staff were first class and the meal we had in the Lodge was good too. I think this was a one off trip but if I returned.....I would pay it all again.

The staff were so good to us, helping with restaurant, hair salon & taxi bookings, following up on tour company bookings, providing medical attention for mosquito bites etc. The complimentary afternoon teas and cakes at 3.30 and cocktails and canapes at 5.30 on a lovely wildlife viewing platform were a highlight of the day. Breakfast was delicious and complimentary minibar was restocked every day.

Good choice for Victoria Falls

Lovely setting overlooking a waterhole with visiting wildlife, while still being close to Victoria Falls with regular transfers. We also enjoyed relaxing around the pool when we'd done our trip to the Falls. You can arrange a range of activities directly with the hotel and ones we did worked out well. Early June was a great time to go - hot, dry climate and at the end of the rainy season so plenty of water on the Falls.

Up Close To The African Wild Life In Zimbabwe

The Victoria Falls Safari Club was a fantastic place to stay and view most of the African wild life up close. I cannot thank the staff enough for ensuring our stay was a memorable one. Both restaurants had a wide choice of local options and the food was great. The resort is not far from the Victoria Falls which is a must see. We had a local Zimbabwe guide Charles Brightman take us on a guided tour of the local surrounds with a two and half hour viewing of all the wildlife via man made viewing bunker built to look like a termite mound. This guide can be booked via the resort and cost approx. $50 US per person. I would recommend this resort as a place to stay and I would take my family there.

Victoria Falls - great stay

The Victoria Safari Club is a 15 minute drive from Victoria Falls. The free shuttle makes the journey easy. The Club itself has luxurious rooms with every amenity, the wooden structures give a feeling of being in a safari lodge. Full breakfast, afternoon tea and sundowner drinks were included. The waterhole was somewhat distant and binoculars were needed to enjoy the wildlife from the viewing platforms and balconies.
The staff were outstanding, charming, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The only downside was no swimming pool at the Club. A short walk and steps down to the pool at the nearby Lodge.
I was informed a pool and new restaurant was in the planning stage. If this happens I would happily return.

Paradise in Africa

Seriously one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Not because of the design, or family friendliness, but because they have put a LOT of thought and effort into making sure we, the guests, are as comfortable and well taken care of as humanly possibly.

Here are a few things that made this hotel extra special for me:

• The wifi here was fast enough that I could VPN into my office in the USA and do some remote work.
• Everyone was more than willing and capable to help me plan out activities during my stay
• Free minibar!!
• Happy Hour (Free)!
• Breakfast (Included)!
• Laundry Service (Free)!

The room was large and well appointed. There was mosquito repellent and sunscreen readily available in the room.

The view was incredible. In the mornings as the sun was rising I saw giraffe, wildebeest, wild boar, kudu, water buck, and many others. The food at the local restaurants was great, and the Boma experience was also interesting.

I have also stayed at the famous David Livingstone Hotel, and this place betters that on almost every level. This hotel is just not next to the river (which also means less mosquitoes).

Great place to stay if you want to visit Victoria Falls. The food was great with several choices of restaurants. Excellent service. Shuttle departs and picks up on the hour through Victoria Falls.
I would highly recommend it
