My stay at the Bayete Guest Lodge was fantastic. Great staff, good food, quiet location, nice clean room. The lodge is a little bit out of town, so you'll need to get either a taxi or rent a vehicle or electric bike to get to attractions at the falls, but the staff at the hotel is very helpful and can book anything you need without upcharge.

Good value hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights as a base for my trip to Victoria Falls. Lovely staff who were helpful and polite. Hotel was in good condition and had all required amenities though some of the bedroom furniture could have been of better quality. Bed was excellent though and the evening turndown service was good.

Hotel is a little out of the town but then most are, so a taxi was required to go anywhere but the hotel were good about booking them for me.

I would stay again if back in Victoria Falls.

Great clean and safe resort

Great hotel with nice rooms and grounds. Grounds are surrrounded by a high wall and automatic gate for which the hotel gives you a remote to get in after-hours, to protect from widlife so you feel very safe walking the grounds at night. Staff are accomidating and nice. Only fault was the firmness of the bed. But would asolutely stay here again if I have the chance.

Nice rooms set in mature gardens. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was not busy but very good quality. The Zambezi Bream was delicious. Three items on the dinner menu that changed daily. Breakfast items are started to be put out well before official start time, very handy if you have early morning activities. There is a food shop with cafe attached nearby but a fair walk or taxi ride for more amenities. Excursions and activities do pickups and are on time or generally early. Highly recommended.

The Lodge is well located and easy to find. The check in was efficient and the staff friendly. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The rooms are all quite close together so noise was an issue sometimes with some of the other guests.

Bayete guest lodge is an oasis in Victoria Falls. The spacious guest houses are surrounded by lush gardens with a nice pool and lovely open air restaurant and bar. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and they are so friendly and ready to share information about their culture. We had a hard time deciding between Bayete and Victoria Falls hotel but after visiting the hotel during our three days in Victoria Falls we are so glad that we chose Bayete. Victoria Falls hotel is very pretty but also quite formal. The relaxed atmosphere of Bayete was more our style.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond. I want to especially thank Allen and Norma. Every single staff meme we smiled and said hello. The rooms were made up twice a day with mosquito nets in the evening and it was put away during the day. The food was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is located within 5 minutes drive of Victoria falls. Really peaceful. Very safe town. Loved our stay there. One of the nicest places we have stayed in around the world.

Great location for a stay near Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side! The staff was always super friendly and willing to be of help or assistance in any way possible. I needed to check out a bit later and they were understanding and very kind about it as I was rushing back a bit late from an outing around check out time. The room was very comfortable and even had a supply of bug repellant spray and lotion. The breakfast and meals were great. Anywhere you need to go requires a taxi and a charge every time which is fine though does get pricey every time you want to go somewhere. Overall enjoyed my stay and would stay once again!

The property was small, safe and quiet. The grounds were well maintained, and everything on the property was easily assessable. Rooms were not large but nicely arranged and contained a large bathroom and shower. The restaurant on site was good although with a limited menu and the breakfast was excellent. Transportation to town and the Falls was easily arranged. Room and other costs were reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.

Bayete Guest Lodge was in a nice and convenient area. Although we never walked anywhere, places near by were walkable distance. The check in was super easy, the staff was incredibly friendly, and if the weather would've been better, we would've loved using the big pool. We also ate breakfast every morning and dinner twice at the lodge because it was great food and there were many options.

The gardens are very beautiful..the staff are very warm and friendly.
The food is okay- the menu for both dinner and breakfast is very limted..in fact thr breakfast didnt change at all in my 4 night stay.

There were lot of mosquitos but the hotel offers repellent lotion and the bed had a net- though i noted a lot of holes on my bed net.

The hotel helps with arranging taxis and activities- their very helpful.

Overall its a pleasent place to stay.

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay at Nkosi Lodge (Bayete was undergoing renovations at the time). We especially enjoyed the staff, who were all very helpful and informative. The meals were exceptional, with great presentation. We loved it that some large trees were preserved in the construction of this new lodge such that there was ample shading. The lodge is situated in a residential area that is nice for jogging and walking.

My booking had to be changed to stay at Nkosi Lodge since Bayete Lodge was under renovations. I must say I was in awe of the Nkosi facilities, they are impeccable! The staff really add a remarkable experience to the entire stay at Nkosi. The Chefs behind the scenes brought out delicious and eye catching food and the house keeping staff were excellent! We booked a family room last minute for our stay prior to heading to Victoria Falls airport.
We had been staying at a hostel but decided we needed a nice room prior to departure. We really enjoyed our stay...room was very comfortable, property was very clean and breakfast was perfect. Beautiful and peaceful place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In the past, I’ve stayed at bigger resorts in Vic Falls, and this beautiful, tranquil place made a nice change. The guestroom we had was beautiful and comfortable. The staff everywhere were helpful and very friendly.

Wi-Fi was included, which was convenient. However it could be iffy depending on where in the resort you were, and we had to repeatedly log on, which got annoying after a while.

Breakfast was included, and was delicious. Good options for eggs, breakfast meat, and fruit. We ordered lunch one day, and I think it was appropriately priced at $8. I would have to agree with the reviews that said that the dinner is over-priced at $20 per person, considering it’s not made to order, and you make yourself a plate from one bulk-cooked meal option per night.

They provide a same day laundry service, which we took advantage of. I thought the prices were very fair for that.

I wish they provided bottled water in the rooms. There is tea and coffee service in the room by way of a hot water heater, with teabags (black tea or rooibos) and instant coffee provided. I would like to see herbal tea options (green tea, mint tea, chamomile, etc.).

The only issue we had in our room (# 28) is there was one window with a broken latch in the bathroom, but security was good at the resort, and this wasn’t an issue.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We would definitely recommend this place.

The staff were unwelcoming. No hair dryer or laundry bag provided and when we asked for it, even though there was staff around, they simply shrugged and stated that the office was now closed and they could not help us. In addition, many times when we asked for the hotel to help call a taxi, they got the time wrong so either had to rush as the driver had already arrived, or be later than we had wished to arrived for the airport.

This place is budget friendly but is by no means a budget hotel. Bayete is exceptional. The staff are friendly and very detail oriented; they provided thorough and customized support to us each step of the way. They even have great cybersecurity practices for the WiFi! Do not get me started on the food... I would have stayed at this lodge for another week just to get more of that breakfast. We slept very well in the beds and enjoyed the beauty of the Bayete grounds. Anyone who pays top dollar for another hotel is missing out.

It was my husband’s 60th birthday and we were also celebrating his retirement. I booked a Bayete because the pictures shown on their web site and on Expedia were lovely. When we checked in, we were given one of the worst rooms on the property, with the smallest bathroom (#25). The bathroom was so small that you had to squeeze between the door and the sink to use the toilet. When I asked for a change of room, the front desk staff told me they were sold out for the evening. They showed me another room, it was only marginally better so it wasn’t worth moving. Then the truth came out! They told me that my booking on ExpediaI received a higher discount than normal (this explains why we received the worst room on the property)!! On the day we were leaving I was sitting at the table in front of the main lobby. The gates were left open and a local cane onto the property and started begging for money. The gates should be kept closed for security.

Very friendly staff, a nice 25-30 minute walk into Victoria Falls the town, which I did a couple of times. Breakfast was alright. My room was very large and in good condition. I liked staying just outside of town and it was very easy to get to/from the airport and Falls. I'd stay there again. Only drawback for me: no bottled water in the room and with the reception and restaurant closed until 7am, I couldn't find water when I ran out. I'll have to plan better! But I'd encourage the lodge to give each guest a couple bottles of water, or to leave the water dispenser, available at breakfast, out during the night.

First impressions were favourable and the trip advisor we so often rely upon is strong in support. We visited Iguazu in Argentina and chose like here to be out of town away from the centre and so this venue seemed to fit. Our last hotel stop of a 21 day trip where we have stayed in 8 other hotels. I'll rate it later against these.
Great staff on the front desk with a shout to Allen and Kirsten for prompting me when booking many activities and restaurants. It's only a $5 taxi into town. Lovely enthusiastic staff in the restaurant and service with smiles for Webster and Lloyd always helpful and reliable. The pool is a good facility and an incentive to go to attractions early in the day and relax after. The garden is also pleasing on the eye.
The breakfast is tasty and with good service and a great choice. Lunch ($5) available is just a toasted sandwich but it's well prepared and more than sufficient. Dinner is a main course prepared that day with one dessert to go alongside. Lovely wholesome food but no real choice and $20. The bar is open most of the day and tea coffee are complimentary.

A beautiful, neat lodge just outside of town centre. Cheap 5-10min taxis are available to the main shops/restaurants and Victoria Falls Park and friendly staff were always happy to arrange airport transfers, activities etc. All meals and drinks were very reasonably priced. There's also plenty of shady communal areas dotted around the property to get you out of your room and into the pretty surroundings. Would definitely recommend!
