The staff were the starts of the lodge. Richard at the bar was a true gentleman. The catering staff were simply amazing and always polite.
Let's not forget the gardner who kept the place nice and lush and the pool clean. Our son was in the pool everyday. Great fun.

I was upgraded to a deluxe double room, which was a lovely surprise and made my stay more comfortable. The afternoon/evening receptionist was especially helpful, assisting with my luggage and even helping to contact tour operators, which I really appreciated. However, my experience with the morning receptionist wasn’t as positive. The hotel is also a bit far from the centre of Victoria Falls, so there isn’t much to do within walking distance. One downside was the noise in the evenings, guests in the common area could be quite loud, which affected the overall atmosphere. Breakfast was okay, but nothing particularly memorable.

Room upgrade was a pleasant suprise however ruined by noisy inconsiderate guests in the surrounding rooms. Waiting staff watched me arrive in good time for a dinner order then deliberately ignored me on instruction from the chef whilst I sat in plain view of them all. When I eventually caught their attention, the chef told them to tell me the kitchen closes at 8pm.

I enjoyed my 2 day stay at the Livingstone Lodge. I especially appreciated that they have a restaurant and bar, something a pricier lodge in the area where I also stayed didn't have. Rooms were clean, the staff friendly and the showers and air conditioning worked, again, things that didn't work well in the more expensive lodge in the neighborhood.

I love how cute this property is. My room had a gorgeous mural, and there were other murals around the property. The bathroom was nice with a stone stand-up shower. It was difficult to communicate at times regarding booking excursions, however we overcame the communication issues and they were able to book two excursions for me.

Great location, price point, location, safety and excellent staff with attentive and exemplary service. The room itself was basic (Stars 1-2), no TV/Radio. Areas of concern were the tiles in the bathroom, cracked grout, etc.
Just FYI. Don't forget to ask for a bed turnover or change if sheets. Not done or offered.
Front office staff are excellent and very friendly/courteous. Keep it up!!! Would come back here again for sure.

Kitchen staff are very friendly and understanding especially GUGU. The gardener helped to fix the problem with the sink in my bathroom thank you very much. The artist Zian is also a great painter and I think he will have a great future. Finally the receptionist Elton does help a lot when he is in mood and not very busy. Apparently there are economy rooms and a Lux rooms this was not advertised on expedia or the lodges website. Our rooms did not have air conditioning and it was 100° every day. There was no TV there was an inch below and above the door that the daylight came through the doors were cracked you'd wake up in the morning it was full of mosquitoes biting you. This place is a dump and very misadvertised. All the windows were bolted shut except for one and it did not have a screen on it the windows it were bolted still had cracks room or the mosquitoes came in. They show pretty pictures on the computer that is not what the real room looks like. I've never stayed anywhere in 56 years of traveling that was as bad as this.

Livingstone Lodge was surprisingly spacious and my room included a king size bed along with a double bed and an alcove area. The lodge is more or less self-service with no daily maid service and no television in the rooms. The breakfast area next to the pool provided a pleasant dining experience with the breakfast wrap and pancakes with bacon and bananas stacked being my favorites. Rooms one through five face the pool area which is shaded with trees and has a fairly large seating area outside of the rooms. The swimming pool it's large enough to enjoy and the room was very clean when I arrived. If you are looking for a full service Lodge this would probably not be your first choice but for me it was a perfect fit.

the staff are very good and Emmanuel and norbit are very helpful telling you things like taxis and places to go . The whole property looks dated and could do with updating . My door latch was broken and had to be locked all the time to stay closed . No bedside light so one had to stubble in the dark at night if one needed the bathroom , and stubbing the toes in the process. Air conditioning would be a great help now as the daytime temp. is up around 40 c , and it does not drop a great deal at night . Breakfast was good , place was clean and tidy and everybody was friendly ,always a smile on the faces .

Though not a luxury resort, I found over staying there for four nights Livingstone Lodge to be clean and solid, and a good value for the money.

The breakfast they provide is decent. They facilitated getting my laundry done for a reasonable price. The best thing about my stay was the customer service. One of the owners really went out of her way pointing me to options for the next leg of my adventure.

What I liked least is that the lodge is about a $5.00 taxi ride each way into down town Victoria Falls.

Terrific service and food

This is not a glamour property. But the free morning breakfasts were amazing. The service from the maids, etc, was fine. There is a working swimming pool. Pete, the manager, was always available and helpful. It’s air conditioned. Like all the properties in Vic Falls, it is removed from downtown, so you would always need auto transport, such as being picked up by your tour company. There’s no lobby. Particularly for the price, this is a wonderful value.

I did a 14 day tour ending in Vic Falls and booked this guesthouse for an extra day. Great value, extremely friendly and highly professional staff/owner, tasty breakfast, good wifi. Not in the thick of the town centre, but a nice and safe area, plus just a 5$ taxi ride to the action. Has a pool that i didnt get a chance to use. Highly recommended
