Batonka Lodge was booked as part of a package trip that we did to Africa. However, we extended our trip so stayed two additional nights at the Lodge. The lodge is small compared to some other places that have recently been built or being built but it was just right. It had a really cozy colonial feel to it. The staff were incredibly attentive and couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. The food was great and the rooms were clean and spacious. There was a shuttle bus to town but you could also walk into town or if prefer the lodge would arrange a taxi. They would give you the details of the taxi company so if you needed a taxi back, you could get the restaurant to book the same company. One morning elephants were outside the lodge. Five stars from me and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Lloyd and the team for a great stay.

From Check in to Check out - perfect stay. Very kind and attentive staff, comfy bed, impeccable service. Flight crew for a few nights. Easy hotel shuttle to the Falls, $7 cab return. Not a complaint - but the internet was a little weak in #19, easily solved by going to the veranda if you have some work to do. Thank you Batonka Guest Lodge.

Very nice lodge in Victoria Falls. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms were nice, with a big bathroom, and the gardens and general ambience were lovely. The only thing we could possibly criticise slightly are the restaurant, which doesn't offer a lot of choice - but that probably reflects the limitations of a relatively small lodge versus a big hotel.

Absolutely amazing property! The service is the absolute best, the staff is so friendly. The chef makes the best meals ever, so make sure to book dinner reservations. All of the activities the recommend are only the best ones (ie Pure Africa). I can’t recommend this place enough.

A tranquile setting
Arrived here after a self drive trip through Botswana tired and dirty and were welcomed with a cold drink and warm smile. The check in was quick and painless. Were quickly shown to our rooms and got settled in.
The grounds were well maintaned and nicely balanced between shade and sun and the pool provided a refreshing dip. The staff were attentive but descrete providing exellent service. The restuarant was well worth a visit in the evening providing delicious food. All in all an exellent stay and would most definately recommend to one and all.

Staying at Batonka was a truly wonderful experience, we had a perfect time. The facilities and service was excellent and all the additional help with the taxi and liaising with the adventure businesses went above and beyond.

We loved our stay at Batonka; our only wish was that we'd have stayed 3 nights in Zim instead if 2! The staff are amazingly friendly, food is good and they provide help with arranging tours to do. They have a in-house taxi they use which is reasonable and trustworthy. Staff were more an accommodating to any requests and Adrian, the manager I believe, was always seen talking to us or other guests. We would 100% recommend and stay again!

Great new find in Victoria Falls. Checked out this morning after a lovely 2 night stay for 7 people. Best food I've had in the area. Stayed at The Victoria Falls Hotel my last visit, and the food here was far superior. Super friendly staff, and I will come back my next visit to the falls. They do whatever they can to make sure your experience, at the hotel and in the area, is a great one.

Batonka Guest Lodge is LITERALLY an OASIS in the Savannah. It's lush and beautifully-decorated. My room was just outstanding. It was spotless. I slept so peacefully and comfortably on the gorgeous bed. My bathroom was pretty much the size of a bedroom. The food was delicious. Staff members were so very friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to make you happy. The Manager deserves special mention for helping me to confirm my seat on my flight to Cape Town. She just went above and beyond and didn't relent until she got through. Also worth mentioning is that I'm a solo female traveler who places a lot of importance on safety and I felt extremely safe at Batonka and in Vic Falls too. I will definitely be staying at Batonka again and I recommend it unreservedly to anyone.
The world has very negative views about Zimbabwe. I experienced none of that. I can tell you that I have traveled all over God's Green Earth and have had amazing adventures...but the only place I've ever left a little piece of my heart is Zimbabwe.

A very nice guest house in a residential area in The Falls. An easy walk or short cab ride to anywhere you want to go. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms spacious and well appointed. We were only staying one night before transferring out but would definitely book again.

This is a relaxing and pleasant property with a good restaurant and a nice pool area. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. The lodge is a bit outside of town. However, it is walkable and a taxi costs only about 5 dollars to get you to either Victoria Falls National Park or the town. The staff also arranges a variety of tours. The evening game drive they set up for us was excellent. We would stay there again.

Quiet and Relaxing!
Our stay at the Batonka Lodge was outstanding! We were greeted upon our arrival by Allison who filled us in on all we needed to know about the lodge and she had great tips regarding restaraunts, activities and getting around town. The lobby and grounds/pool area are beautiful The room was spacious and nicely appointed as was the bathroom/shower. Breakfast on the veranda in the morning was a very nice way to start the day and the food was good. The lodge is within walking distance to the center of town. We walked everywhere (and felt very safe!) including Victoria Falls and the Victoria Falls Bridge. The staff is more than happy to make transportation arrangements and lunch and dinner reservations for you. We did not eat lunch or dinner at Batonka during our stay but it is available. The only negative we encountered was when we had them launder items for us we felt it was rather on the expensive side. I would highly recommend the Batonka Lodge if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere with exceptional service.

Had a superb 3 day stay at Batonka. Very friendly and attentive staff. After a busy sight seeing day we always looked forward to coming back to the blissful tranquil surroundings of the hotel.
