Some of the friendliest staff anywhere, especially Thembi in the dining area, who was so accommodating and caring. We felt like we had the full attention of the staff and they endeavored to make sure our stay was perfect. Due to the location, we ate a few meals at the lodge and they were reasonably priced and very good. Excellent water pressure in the shower, comfortable beds. pool was nice and the place is clean and quiet. Definitely worth the price!

The room also had a nice little refrigerator and a nice TV and a lot, and I mean a lot of closet space. The room was spacious, a lot of light and I felt very at home. I did not need a fancy upscale lodge and I have to say the price was extremely reasonable.
What really stood out was the staff — everyone I interacted with, housekeeping, bellmen, and reception was polite, friendly, and helpful-Grace and Anne. I want to mention specifically Knowledge – he was extra kind to me during my stay. Hospitality will be remembered.
When I’m back in Zimbabwe one day, which I hope is soon, I’ll definitely be staying at the Dzimbahwe Guest lodge again. For the quality and service, the price is very reasonable.

We stayed for a few days on a trip to see Victoria Falls. The property was lovely, in most respects.The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast while not fancy was sufficient. The staff were friendly and attentive, and very helpful in arranging transportation. We did have significant issues with the wifi, which was problematic as my friend needed it to work. The staff worked to get it resolved, and it eventually was, but this was quite inconvenient.

We loved this quaint property. The rooms were spacious comfortable and clean. We were there in September making the outside temperature hot. The provided AC is a must and made the accommodations quite pleasant. They provided a very good breakfast buffet in an outdoor, sheltered setting that was also pleasant. The cost was very reasonable (under $100 per night and was more than worth it) ...as you may know you can pay upward to $300 to $500 per night if you want to but for the money Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge is excellent! And one of the reasons It is excellent is because of people like Grace who works as one of the receptionist. Her name Grace, is a perfect fit for her demeanor! Grace goes above and beyond to help in anyway you need. She made phone calls for us, made suggestions and because of her we were made aware of our flight change that required us to return to the Victoria Falls Airport several hours earlier than expected. Had it not been for her we might of missed our flight home to the United States. Thank you Grace, your the best!

Rooms are big and the grounds are nice. A little way from town but easily walkable in the day, or a short taxi ride at night. Our room was a little tired, and had a fairly big gap in the doors, but the mosquito nets over the bed & quiet area meant it wasn't the end of the world. Breakfast was only okay and very slow. Staff weren't particularly keen to help with queries, but generally fine. Security guard happy to help get us water at night.

A really wonderful Zimbabwe hotel. The staff is fantastic from Grace in reception to Tembe at breakfast to the driver Pardon and everyone in between. The property is very nice for relaxing after enjoying all the activities available. We did walk into town and to the falls. But if it’s too far for some people to walk the hotel staff will arrange a taxi.

Comfortable, convenient, incredibly friendly staff, beautiful pools yes plural, and lovely grounds. Communication was fast, responsive, and helpful when arranging transports. Definitely reach out for transport from the airport as standard rate of $30 without haggle is nice. You can rack up a bill at their restaurant and bar and pay it with card when you checkout. Couldn’t be happier with our stay.

We can’t fault the staff at Dzimbahwe - they were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The grounds are lovely with plenty of shade and beautifully kept. The mosquito nets in the rooms are probably the best we’ve ever had and the beds very comfy.
It’s no doubt our fault but we hadn’t realised that Dzimbahwe is the other side of Victoria Falls town to the Falls themselves. So, wherever you want to go, you have to take a taxi. The staff were brilliant at always making sure we got one when we needed it and they don’t overcharge. But it can still add a hefty amount to your final bill.
We were disappointed with the food. The breakfast buffet was very basic and wasn’t replenished at all so by 8am, all the fruit, for example, had disappeared. We ate in the restaurant one evening but the only offering was burger or chicken with chips and the chicken was really dry and unpleasant. If you want to braai, you have to order a portable one in advance and it seemed too much hassle. A trip to one of the town restaurants is going to cost $10 return (Feb 2024 price).
Our room had a single light meaning part of it was in almost permanent darkness. On the other hand, it had a nice terrace at the front.
So, there’s lots of good things about Dzimbahwe. It’s certainly good value compared to many places at the Falls. We were well looked after by the staff. But, if you book, take into account the location, the disappointing food provision and some little niggles with the rooms.

Staff were super helpful. Very hot showers and very clean rooms. Mosquito nets were the best we’ve encountered in our 18 days of travel so far. Breakfast is supposed to start at 730 (some things are set out earlier such as the tea/coffee, cereal, yogurt) but it would be nice to have all breakfast options ready at 7 because some local activities require being picked up at hotel at 8 so breakfast can be a little rushed. However, breakfast options are great and differed slightly everyday. I would return to Dzimbahwe in a heartbeat. Thanks for the stay.

This is a nice place to stay for a short visit. We had a king bed room and it was comfy and clean. The bar is a convenient spot to grab a drink- but make sure you bring small bills because it’s cash only and change is hard to come by.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. We booked 2 rooms and we had this adjoining family room/kitchen area as well. Microwave. That was a pleaaant surprise. Our rooms were right by the pool which was so nice to relax by. Pretty grounds, helpful and pleasant staff. Not far from town....maybe 10 minute drive. Breakfast in morning.
