This place is in a prime location, close to almost all the major attractions to see in Rome by walking. If you enjoy walking, the coliseum and Vatican are about a 40 min walk or a short uber ride. Uber works well in Rome by the way. For breakfast we enjoyed at Margherita! Pancakes are on the menu and coffee is great! Just a few blocks from the guesthouse, on the same side of the street. Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza di Popolo (which is where most tours meet), and the major shops and eateries all close by on foot! The room was smaller than what the photos show but the bed is comfortable. There’s a coffee machine that serves espresso shots only and a complimentary bottle of bubbly. Great customer service from the owner and room was cleaned every day. What I loved the most was prime location!

We enjoyed our stay at Assunta Domus! The location was perfect - very walkable to the more popular parts of town, but just out of the overwhelming congestion. It’s located in a political plaza, so there are military personnel stationed outside at all hours which made us feel very safe. There’s a lot of great food close by, and the host was very available and helpful. He provided great recommendations including food, groceries, and laundry services. If you need help setting up transportation needs, he can help with that too

Alessandro was an incredible host at AD warm, welcoming, and so respectful. We truly enjoyed our stay in the suite. The location was perfect just a short walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, with tons of great places to eat, drink, and shop nearby. We felt very safe walking around, especially with a government building close by and Italian soldiers posted in the area. The space was clean, had great AC, and even included a fridge. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome

The lights in the bathroom is automatic so, it was a little hard when showering and the sensor doesn’t sense movement and we couldn’t figure out the smaller hand held shower. Overall we liked the place. The stairs were steep though so, be careful! Or stay downstairs. The bed was also comfortable.

A great three nights in Rome!

From the moment we booked Assunta Domus, Alessandro began to reach out to understand our arrival and our needs. Since we were arriving from Florence via car, he gave us directions to the Cavour Parking garage (a safe, impeccably clean garage underneath a nice green area in Rome within a ten minute walk of the hotel and out of the ZTL).

Alessandro greeted us upon arrival and showed us the unit and gave several recommendations for restaurants. He took out a map and told us how far we were from all the key spots in Rome and couldn’t have been nicer to me or my family.

The unit was nice but not quite as nice as the pictures. We were surprised to find there was no dryer so you hang your clothes over racks that are provided. The problem with that was it took days for heavy clothing to dry. The area is great. Close enough to walk to see many attractions and lots of restaurants and shops close by. They will set up transportation to and from the airport which was a nice service. Overall a good experience.

This is a funky little property in an older building. The original space has been divided into the little efficiencies. It is tight and pretty no frills. The walls are paper thin and you hear EVERYTHING, including toilets flushing. Older plumbing and utilities so focused on conservation. It was a unique experience and I will say the host is very nice. Located in the heart of the old city so walking distance to most attractions if you don’t get lost in the maze of narrow streets.

The location is perfect. We walked to all the sites. Spacious and clean. Great set up for a family of 5. Rome is so hot in the summer, we really enjoyed the extra space during our chill out time in the apartment. Bonus, the downstairs bathroom has a real shower. There are traffic enforcement guards always stationed right outside of the building, which was nice, made us feel extra safe. Staff booked our transfer to/from the airport and were very helpful and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Rome.

Everything was excellent. We recommend highly. The building Has great security and we felt safe. It was in a good area with high end shops and delicious restaurants and cafes within a block. It was within less than 2 miles from all important sights. We walked everywhere. The owner was available during the day and helped us to arrange transportation by train to other cities, to the airport, from the cruise port, and gave recommendations to good restaurants. He was wonderful. The room was clean and spacious for our family of 5. It was cute and comfortable and had a full kitchen and laundry machine.

A great hotel especially for the price. It was really nice to have an upstairs area where 2 of us stayed, and then my daughter stayed in sofa bed downstairs and had a bit of space. The hotel was in an upscale neighbourhood and walkable to every major attraction within 20/25 minutes.
The hotel room had a mini fridge where they gave us water bottles which they replenished daily. The shower was really nice too- beautifully tiled and good water pressure.

Finding the actual check-in was more complicated than I expected. You first have to buzz in through a grand door way then buzz through a gate then travel up three flights of stairs. No signs pointing to the main office and I actually traversed three other stairways to find it. The room was fun for the kids with a bed upstairs in an open loft area. The check in was easy and very friendly.

The shower had a good amount of mold around the corners and on the ceiling, which is the main reason I'm not giving more stars. The inside door to the bathroom was quite dirty as well.

Beautiful place, very cozy and Rome style. My kids love that the beds were at the top part of the room. Small but beautiful and close to everything. We walked to the Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi steps and visit other places. We are in love with ROME and very thankful with Alessandro, the owner. He helped us with early checkin, buying train tickets to Florence and giving us a lot of information where to go and what to do. This place is a gem!

He was incredibly hospitable, and made our stay even better, and was so helpful in helping out with transport to/from the hotel, and would have happily helped us with more if we needed it.

pros: Alessandro is accommodating and friendly. He gave us tips about our trip , where to go, allowed us to leave our luggage in the office . He arranged transportation. Place was cleaned daily and the espresso is a nice touch with refills too.
Cons: small bathroom slightly outdated and in the loft area upstairs. Weird old smell in the elevator but expected of an older building.
Tip : in the area, just a few meters away one of the oldest restaurants la campana and restaurant where Alfredo pasta originated is just beside it. This is the best part!

Assunta Domus was perfect in every way for our weekend in Rome.
Alessandro was very helpful and although we made our own arrangements on our arrival in Rome we asked him to arrange our return transport which was a lot less stressful.
We walked to all the attractions during the day and in the evening excellent bars and restaurants were on our doorstep.

Friendly and charming hotel in great location

A very nice little hotel, perfectly located in a charming area and within walking distance of most things in Rome. Even though it is in the middle of the city, it was very quiet and we did not hear any traffic or people at night.

The room was very clean, not huge, but enough space to sleep five comfortably . Hot water was not an issue! I think they have tankless hot water. For five people, that is an issue. Assunta Domus is a great little property in the heart of the Navona section of Rome. It is a few minutes walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, and 15-20 minutes walk from Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Colosseum and all the major sites. This is not a traditional hotel, hence the lower score for Amenitites, but Rome really isn’t a place to sit around the hotel. Alessandro the owner is there 12 hours each day and available by phone/email if needed any other time. He is very friendly and has some great recommendations (with some local discounts) for restaurants and cafes in the area. We had 2 minor hiccups outside of his control, one being a taxi not showing up to bring us to Termini Station for an excursion (thankfully found a stand quick enough), and one issue with the AC unit not working (due to a connected unit turning their’s in to heat). Overall, I would highly recommend Assunta Domus if you are going to Rome and looking for a reasonable place to stay in the middle of everything!

Hidden gem of Rome. This hotel was perfect for us. It was in walking distance to everything (Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Forum, Colosseum), it was extremely safe, it was sparkling clean all the time, bathrooms were extremely clean, and it was a very smart use of space. In our room, we had plenty of space for our family of four. Each child had their own single bed, and my husband and I shared a king bed. My kids enjoyed watching TV in the loft area, and it felt like a much bigger space than it probably was. The air conditioning was controlled by us, and it was highly refreshing from the hot summer days. The building was very quiet and set away from the main streets. The shampoos and soaps smelled so nice. My son is allergic to everything, and this hotel was allergy safe for him. Because the hotel is in the historical center, you have to park your car a bit farther away. I was worried about this. But parking in Piazza Cavour was very easy. It's not too far, and it's underground, very safe and very clean.

What made this hotel extra special was Alessandro, the main contact at the hotel. He speaks English very well, and he made us feel 100% comfortable. He will help you with anything you need, including booking different things to do, helping you decide on restaurants, parking, wifi, etc. He is wonderfully kind.

There are snacks, coffee, and water provided in your room for free, but there is no breakfast provided. However, there are plenty of cafes nearby.

Assunta Domus is a lovely boutique B&B very close to many sites such as the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Our room was very clean and comfortable; it had all amenities we needed. Alessandro was very helpful and attentive in giving us knowledge of the sites as well as restaurants in the surrounding area (which are amazing). He was also reachable by email at any time which is awesome considering the front desk hours are limited. My only gripe is that the hotel is not near any metro stations however it's not too far of a walk especially with all the sites and piazzas nearby, we didn't mind it much. I would definitely stay here again! The location is amazing!

This property is just steps from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Vatican City and many other landmarks. The area is well travelled and felt extremely safe. It's also very close to dozens of restaurants and all the shopping you could possibly desire.

Our room was quaint and spotless. The bed was the most comfortable my wife and I had experienced in a long time.

The owner, Alessandro is extremely friendly and helpful. He had no problem communicating with us in English. He was very accommodating and helped us with booking train tickets.

I wouldn't hesitate booking here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, normally don't write reviews but felt compelled to because of the experience. Alessandro made everything enjoyable and was there to help at any time. Our AC unit had some issues but he was very apologetic, got it to work temporarily and had a service person out the very next morning. Very secure facilities and within walking distance to anywhere we wanted to go. Only taxis we took were airport to hotel and hotel to train station. Room cleaning was great and room had everything we needed with some extras for free. Can't recommend this hotel enough, for the price I don't think you can find anything better in Rome.

This hotel is hidden on a quiet street in the very heart of Rome, close to the Piazza Navona. There was a marvelous little bakery a few doors down. The staff was friendly, quite attentive and helpful. Alessandro, the proprietor, helped us bring our luggage in and welcomed us warmly. He recommended two wonderful restaurants nearby--an authentic Roman restaurant, and a cafe/ restaurant that had a buffalo mozzarella tasting menu. Near the end of our stay, Alessandro even helped us purchase our train tickets to Florence, and he made sure that we paid a reasonable price for them. I'd stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience at Assunta Domus. There were only about five rooms, but I felt as accomodated as if we stayed in a large hotel. It was extremely secure (two gates, a locked door, and then the room was individually locked) despite being on a street that felt extremely safe anyway. Alessandro was great and extremely helpful! The room was spotless and we were in walking distance to all major tourist spots. The only thing to know is that \"free breakfast\" included only two packages of crackers in the room. There was a coffee maker and refrigerator available though. Would highly recommend!

The hotel is a floor of a building with hotel rooms. Alessandro is a wonderful host and extremely helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but unfortunately there was a large amount of mould in the bottom corners of the shower. Our room faced the street and the street is very busy and noisy. Hopefully the mould will be dealt with and I would have no complaints.

The hotel is in an excellent location and is within a short walking distance of most of the famous landmarks and restaurants. We were given a map and advice on where to go on arrival. Rooms very nicely decorated and very clean - we had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again!

Nice apartment in Rome close to everything.

Apartment close to everything in Rome, forget about taking a taxi, air conditioning, clean and nicely decorated bathrooms, excellent attention and service, Alessandro who manages the property is very attentive and profesional, I have never seen a manager that gives me his cell phone number to call at any time to call for any reason.

HIGHEST RECCOMENDATION!!!

My stay was wonderful! My wife and I had a reservation at another hotel and were so disappointed with it we had to leave after only one night into our stay. I booked Assunta Domus the following morning and we left as soon as we could. Even though we arrived three hours before check-in, Allesandro assured us it was no problem if we left our bags and that our room would be ready at our 3:00 check-in time. The beautiful room was ready as promised at 3 with our bags already placed in the room for us. Allesandro provided a map with all the best areas for dinner, shopping, night life, etc. circled. The following morning when we had an issue with our tickets to the Galleria Borghese, Allesandro called the museum for us and got us in touch with the appropriate person at the museum. The morning we left Rome, Allesandro once again, went over and above for us. We told him before we left for breakfast, that we were going to take and über can to the airport an hour later. By the time we returned to check-out, Allesandro had compared the cost of a taxi (flat rate to the airport €48, all the time) and the cost of an über (€60 from the hotel) and had a taxi waiting down stairs for us! He brought our bags downstairs for us and refused to let us lift anything! He was the best of Roma in one amazing person!
I highly recommend the Assunta Domus, and I won't be staying anywhere else if/when I return to Rome!

Great hotel in a great location, with a great host

My husband and I spent 10 nights in Italy for our honeymoon, starting with our three nights in Rome. Alessandro made our arrival in Rome a breeze. He arranged a car to pick us up from the airport, and when he found out that we had just gotten married he graciously upgraded us to a larger room. He also provided us with a map of Rome, which was invaluable, and was kind enough to help us make reservations for the Colosseum and train reservations for our travel to Florence.

The room itself was very comfortable, with the bathroom and a small sitting area downstairs and a loft with the bed upstairs. They provided complimentary bottles of water. The only thing to be aware of is that the loft is only a little over 6 feet tall, so if you happen to be really tall, it may be a problem.

The hotel was located in a fantastic location which allowed us to walk to just about everything we wanted to see within 20 minutes or less. While the hotel itself is very small and thus does not have a restaurant, there were a couple of tasty (and budget friendly) restaurants within a block of the hotel.

All in all, this was a great hotel, in a great location, with a great host. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Rome.

Great location, clpse to sights and a real market

Alessandro who staffs it speaks English well and is super helpful. The apartment we were in had the bed loft so had to climb the stairs up and down to use the bathroom at night. The bed was very comfortable. Very secure with 4 keys to access the unit! Has an elevator so wonderful for luggage. Walked to everything. Refrigerator, espresso maker and a hotpot. What else could we ask for?

The hotel had a great location. Very updated and nice. Had elevator, good AC, wifi, nice big bed with TV, great updated bathroom with a really nice shower. The room was very clean and everything looked new. The staff was great and very helpful. Would def come again and recommend to my friends.

Three days at the Assunto Domus in Rome

Alessandro was very helpful and communicative, both before and during our stay. The locations is fantastic, and the rooms were large, modern, and comfortable. The bathroom was roomy, and newly renovated. After 8 days in Munich, I felt like our rooms were palatial in size and quality. No question that if I return to Rome, I will try to stay at the Assunto Domus.

Well placed for all the obvious tourist spots - 5 minutes walk from Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Spanish Steps. Vatican and Colosseum a medium 20 minute walk away.
A taxi back from Trastevere was only 7 Euros if your legs have packed up after along day of walking! There are no buses or metros in the historical centre, but taxis are available just next to Piazza Navona
Good walking shoes are essential!
Took the Shuttle bus from Ciampino to Termini on arrival, having bought ticket on the plane. Unfortunately if you cannot fit on that particular bus you have to wait 40 minutes for the next, and can only travel on the bus from that particular company, but it's pretty simple. The taxi booked for return by Alessandro to the airport for 45 Euros was half an hour late and the driver did not offer my change nor apologise for being late. The city white taxis cost 30 Euros, so would consider taking that next time, as a taxi to Termini and then bus to airport would cause me too much stress!!
