Room was old fashioned and not in good condition. I booked a single and got a single bed, a very poor mattress, 1 blanket which was only a sheet really and 1 very poor pillow.
I checked out of the hotel at 5.30am to get out of this place.
B&Bs are better than this place, not a hotel at all, just old rooms over a bar.
They took a £60 deposit and promised twice it would be back at 12pm next day.
I had to email and didn’t receive for about 3+ days later

Very disappointing.
The the room need a global renovation.
The wallpaper is peeling off the wall, the bed are squeaky, the mattress tired, the radiator repairs done on the radiator fixation are poor DIY.
The shared bathroom is OK, but have mould in the caulk.
The deposit has been returned 7 days later.
The price is good, I easily accept some quirks, but here it's a lot.

What a sad state of affairs. Walking into my room felt like I’d just arrived at the final level of despair. It’s honestly impressive how aggressively depressing the place was. The sight of the bed, with its pathetic flat cushions and sunken mattress, made me question whether I’d committed some unspeakable crime and had suddenly snapped out of a denial induced psychosis to realise I’d been thrown into a prison cell for the rest of my days. The TV didn’t work and the supposed wifi wouldn’t connect. I’m pretty annoyed that hotels.com would allow them to list this place on their site as the pictures are extremely misleading, unless they were taken sometime in the mid-90s before the owners completely gave up on caring about their business. Just to add, I took the hit on what I paid (£80) and booked in the hotel across the road. That’s how bad it is. Shame on hotels.com for allowing memebrds of their platform to pay £80 a night to stay here!!

It was terrible the reception was very abusive and right from the moment we checked in and the rooms were disgusting and for all of that they had the cheek to charge £110 per night.
Never again if it wasn’t for every other hotel fully booked for bank holiday I would have walked straight back out.

Hotel is very run down, we waited at the reception for a bit before being seen to! Hallway and stairs are in need of a good clean and paint! Very run down. Room was freezing, no heating on. Damp on windows and ceiling and that was supposed to be a refurbished room! Needless to say we didn’t stay and left straight away! Out of pocket. Light fitting in hall hanging down from ceiling (dangerous). Hallway hadn’t even been hoovered. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL!!!

Restaurant and bar was closed. Stairs was very scruffy and room door was sticking, it was actually the hinges that were coming loose. The room itself was reasonable and bathroom looked to have been just refurbished. The one member of staff that was there was helpful and I did report the door to him.

Decor very tired and in need of renovation. Very long wait for room to be ready, despite arriving 90 mins after nominal check in time. Warned about noise from live music , however this was right below my room and noise continued well past 1am (not music, patrons leaving, band clearing up). could not recommend a stay at this hotel, at any time, but especially on a Saturday night.

Horrific excuse for a hotel

If you’re after broken fixtures, sleepless nights, and complimentary back pain, this is your dream destination.

- The shared toilet had its seat broken off by another guest during our stay. The sink and door frame in our room? Also smashed. The place felt like the aftermath of a demolition derby.

- The mattresses were so uncomfortable they could double as medieval torture devices. Pillows? More like decorative tissue paper.

- Soundproofing does not exist here. You’ll hear every nightclub guest shouting, fighting, and shouting at each other until 4:30am. Honestly, it felt like they were in our room. They do say on here that there may be a high level of noise, but you really can't understand just how loud it is until you're there!

- The beer garden was a hotspot for drug use, the place stunk of weed as the doorman looked on. My guess is they were guests and weed was the only way they could get to sleep!

- Towels? Don't be silly. Bring your own or dry off with your dignity. No sense of safety either. We genuinely felt unsafe—between the smashed-up facilities the chaos outside and noisy guests in the hotel, it was like staying in a low-budget horror film.

- The price? Totally unjustified. You’d genuinely get more peace and comfort sleeping in your car. Avoid unless you’re into adrenaline-fuelled insomnia.

It will be a waste of time making a complaint about any of the above as the management couldn't care less about their guests.

We left 2 days early.

I was going to write all the details of why not to stay here but have decided it’s not worth my time

Can’t believe we paid the amount we did to stay in this dump. Shame on them for false advertising and shame on Expedia for including this listing. Should have driven another 30 minutes to Glasgow and stayed at a decent place.

Icing on the cake was NO HOT WATER IN OUR ROOM IN THE MORNING - stay away from this place!

This would be without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed at - shocking attention at check in - they were more interested in debiting our credit card for the potential of trashing the room - as if - we are both in our 70’s
We were not informed about wifi - I now understand why as it either froze or simply dropped out
The ensuite door would only open about 300mm before being stopped by the bed
The walls are paper thin - we listened to the people talking as if they were in our room until 04:30 am
There was offer of breakfast or dinner even though the website boasts of both
There is a pungent smell as soon as you go into the ground floor which is greasy and dirty

This property is awful. The photos shown online draw a person in, only to find a bait-and-switch situation. The entire place is completely run down. We didn’t even stay there one night because it’s a dump. Paint was peeling off the ceiling in our room. The entire place could use an update to the 21st Century. Motel 6 has higher standards than they do. A local B&B owner offered us one of his units for free when he found out we were staying there. Stay away!!

The floor was dirty, There was no carpet, The sink was dirty, Bed side lamp did not work. No paper in Toilet untill I found a little in a cupboard. Noise from adjacent rooms untill 01.00. Could not sleep untill then. Was like the walls were made of cardboard!

Upon arrival at hotel I was informed that the shower wasn't working and I could use a communal one. The rooms were pretty poor quality with mold in the windows.

I was supposed to stay 3 nights, but checked out after the 1st night.

The hotel changed me again after i had paid through hotels.com. I'm still waiting for the balance to be refunded.

The noise at 4am was ridiculous with other guests partying until 7am.

I'm hopeful that I will receive the monies owed, but not convinced it will be that easy?

Offered room available during a refurb. Didn’t know until I got there. No hot water that night (which can happen in smaller premises) but none again the next morning. The radiator in the room wasn’t putting out any heat as it needed bleeding. The floor was filthy in my room and there was little sound proofing for other rooms either side as I could hear everything they said even at 4am when the bloke next door decided to call home! Bed linen was clean and mattress comfortable. Met 2 staff members who were lovely. Wouldn’t stay again. Emailed Dannielle the general manager requesting a refund but have had no reply.

This property is dangerous. My husband and i booked in on Saturday 25th January 2025. The first room hadn't been cleaned and no heating. The barman who had been put in charge because there were no other staff gave us a another room which also had no heating and dirty room. The barman gave us another key which once again had no heating and no locks on window. We decided to just wear our clothes under the covers then went to use the toilet and there was no running water. We then noticed a plastic bag covering the fire alarm. We reported this and owner came and said we would receive a refund because we had to leave within 3 hours due to this hazard but after 4 days still refuses to refund us. We are now contacting trading standards as we have everything on video.

Don't book a room Fridays or Saturdays!!! When we arrived initial impressions weren't great. Went to check in, the person who served us looked like he had been dragged off the street. 3 times he mentioned about the very loud noise that happens Fridays, it was in our confirmation evidently. I checked the confirmation and it was right at the bottom, there was also a notice about the loud music in the room (bit late). Clearly from the attitude of the person there had been complaints about the noise previously. He mumbled about a continental breakfast being available, £10 we didn't bother, but nothing about evening dining, we went elsewhere. The room was clean but really basic, only 1 double socket, no local information and no wifi. I did notice a router siting on a table in the corridor when we left, then there was wifi. At midnight the noise started. Wow we've never heard anything like it, everything vibrated in the room it was beyond extreme noise. How the neighbours get on with it every week I have no idea, it went on till 3am. When we left another 'member of staff' was in reception rolling up a cigarette. No 'did we have a good stay/any problems' just are you checking out and put the key in the box, I can only guess the question had been asked before and had received complaints. Information about the extreme noise should be in the details of the hotel so new customers can make an informed decision without having to book before first. Paid £80 rates shown £50

Worst hotel I've stayed in, in a long time. Not worth the price paid!

Firstly when I selected a twin room on this website the picture it showed wasn't the picture of the room I got. The hotel need to work with any website advertising their property to ensure customers are not misled.

Secondly, it wasn't clear, when booking on this site, that the hotel had a nightclub attached which would affect our stay (a Saturday night). We only found this out when checking in. I'd actually call Lomond Park a nightclub with rooms rather than a hotel.

Our room itself had two completely different single beds in it. One had a white wooden frame & during our very short one night stay both the headboard and footboard on the bed fell off.

My bed was just a base, no headboard meaning you couldn't even sit up in bed to watch TV or read as the wall was too far behind.

Both beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable & I had a very uncomfortable night's sleep. You could pretty much feel every single spring in the matress.

Also the side of the radiator fell off. The cleanliness of the carpet, walls & curtains was extremely questionable.

To top it all off we decided to escape the room and go down to the bar for a drink only to find the bar absolutely stank of vomit.

Safe to say I would not recommend anyone stay here.

worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve been in some cheap hostels before.
can’t actually explain how loud the nightclub was, I should have listened to the other reviews.
the room genuinely looked like a prison cell. the floors weren’t finished, there was no soap to wash your hands. the tv was the size of a cereal box. truly terrible experience, we thought about leaving and getting a taxi in the middle of the night to just cut our losses and get a comfy sleep.
when we checked in the staff tried to charge us the full amount event though I had already paid 50% as a deposit. after triple checking my emails, my partner had to go and try to get the overpayment back and the manager was dismissive and got the change wrong.

Was alarmed by state of reception and stairs. Badly in need of a paint job to say the least. Was charged a second time for room £105, found booking details and proved i had paid £99. However was refunded easily. Also wanted £50 or card details incase of damage to room. Another alarming detail. By this time had seen the refurbished and modern bedroom and ensuite which appeared clean apart from very dirty carpet surrounding the bed we decided we couldn't stay the night.
Felt the price was steep for basically an upgrade of a hostel.
Also heard a staff member having a heated argument over the phone so the ambience of the hotel didn't reassure me but I must say the receptionist was helpful and apologetic especially when we decided to leave. Now the biggest job it to try and get a refund.

The room was fine, relatively spacious and clean. The restaurant, used for both dinner and breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The one negative was the three nightclubs that operate within the premises on Friday and Saturday nights. One in particular is extremely loud and goes on until 03:00, making sleeping nigh on impossible. To be fair, it is mentioned on the reservation form but it is right down the bottom of page 2 and I hadn't spotted it before my arrival.

This isn't a hotel, it's a flop house for the drunken patrons of the downstairs bar whose karaoke is played excessively loudly till 1 or 3 in the morning depending on the day of the week. If any guest is thinking of trying to sleep before the bar closes, forget it. Booked for 2 nights but only stayed one. It cost the extra nights fee but it was worth it get out of that hell hole.

We were made very aware of the noise issues and we know the hotel. There was no hot water in the shower and the sink tap was a bit dodgy, no side tables beside the bed. We were fine with it all as we were familiar with the place already and it was a last minute stay for one night. The staff were fine and polite. Breakfast was self service in a dark lounge area but adequate as long as you could work the toaster and the hot water dispenser. It was fine for what we wanted but not for the customer with no sense of humour.....!

Got there and the shared bathroom was leaking, so was put into an ensuite. The bedroom was comfortable and quiet. TV didn't seem to work. No signal. When I had a shower in the morning there was only ice cold water, when I went for breakfast there was cereal but no milk, and bread but the toaster either wasn't working or not switched on... I waited ages for a member of staff who didn't seem to be on site as I was shouting hello down the staff hallway and nothing.
So I got fed up waiting and left leaving a note onthe desk and doing a feedback, neither of which I have had a response to.
It's a shame as it could have been a nice stay.

if it was £20 pn it would be fine

dont mind a bad hotel but the price needs to be proportianat to that. this place shouldnt be charging more than £20pppn.

theres only one shower between all 15 rooms, although i didnt have to wate as noone was there when i was.

the photos do not look like the room i stayed in. which was old and tired but clean. bar the cold water tap which had black mold in the outlet.

the materes was very old and uncumftble with springs poking in my back. but i overcabe this by using the duvey as a matteres topper and the sheet as my duvey. and truning the heating up.

tbf they do warn in the booking email that its on top of a night club and the noice is bad. which it is till midnight or later not sure i used earplugs and it didnt bother me to much.

pros's its warm shower is good and the locks on the door's work. and also the staff are realy frendly.

overall i would say its fine but not worth the £35 pppn mostly due to the noise and matersy. would happly stay there again for £20-25 pppn

I wasn't expecting a huge amount. I booked a single room at the cheapest price available. It could have done with some maintenance - the carpet looked fairly new but the door kept sticking on it. The biggest let down was the mattress. It was really soft and you could feel every metal spring. Definitely needs replaced.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Nice breakfast and free parking . Wasn’t told until we got there about the nightclub on site but wasn’t a problem for us although did hear other guest at breakfast complaining about the noise. Bed was comfy and the room was clean and tidy. Scorching hot water when we arrived and then the next morning no hot water at all?
Very lively bar in the evening (Friday) night with karaoke . Loved the 20% off of food and drinks for residents. Overall a good experience

We left the hotel shortly after arriving. We did not stay. Ebookers description of the hotel said there would be a hairdryer in the room and an ensuite bathroom. In reality there was no hairdryer and no ensuite. It was shared bathroom facilities. As the hotel description provided by ebookers was massively misleading, we were unable to stay in this hotel and so I am expecting a full reimbursement of what was taken out of my account

But staff were woefully lacking in ..inititive...and direction except for the lady who served breakfast on our second morning. Sadly I did not get her name. The Hotel has recently been taken over by OYO and I hope that they invest in the building and training for staff to make this a truly wonderful place to stay again.

Extremely loud nightclub downstairs

In short: the noise from the night club on ground floor will keep you awake until 3am. It is extremely loud - this is not an exaggeration.

I don't like giving this place only 1 star, as the staff were lovely/helpful. But since there is not adequate warning about the noise, people need to be warned.

This website does not do enough to properly warn people.

Breakdown:
Noise:
I stayed on a Friday and Saturday (2 nights). There is a nightclub on the ground floor. It is EXTREMELY LOUD. You can feel the bass vibrating the floor and furniture. Ear plugs will not stop the bass. The timings appeared to be: 7pm-10pm bearable noise. 10pm-1am very loud/bass thumping. 1am-3am noise reduces a little, but will still prevent sleeping. After 3am, there were some drunk people outside singing \"baby i got your money\" repeatedly.

Note: the fire alarm went off briefly twice on the Saturday night. It was quite nice to mask the sound of the music actually.

Cleanliness:
When I arrived, I could see that the room was a bit dusty, but overall things didn't look too bad. The carpet/furniture was old, but acceptable for the price. Later, however, someone left an abomination in the shared toilets, which went uncleaned too long in my opinion. Overall, I'd say, the hotel was alright for cleanliness otherwise.

Staff:
The staff were lovely - I have no problem with them. My criticism is entirely due to the lack of proper warning about the noise. This website and Expedia need to do better.

Great Location

Adequate for the price compared to the many over priced Hotels in the area. A bit dated. Good do with a revamp. But friendly service and great location set in a lovely little town with nice restaurants and shops. Only 50m walk from the station and 5 minutes walk to the shores of Loch Lomond. A great base for exploring the area.

Affordable Place to Stay

2 minute walk from the rail station. Stayed on a thursday and friday, so expected it to be noisy, which is made clear when booking.The staff were very nice and accommodating. The single room was basic, clean and comfortable, although I did ask for cobwebs near ceiling to be removed, which was done immediately. One of the shared bathrooms had run out of toilet paper.An affordable option on a budget

I cannot say anything nice about this place. They appear, as a previous reviewer said, to be focused on serving beer at the bar and keeping the karaoke active than serving upstairs guests.
From the moment I stepped onto the absolutely filthy stairs to go to the room I could see how this was going to be, and I wasn't wrong.
If I wasn't so tired and able to refuse to pay I would have walked out.
When I got into bed it didn't seem fresh and crisp, but I was tiredafter a very long drive. If Id read previous reviews I wouldnt have climbed between the sheets, and adviser others the same.
The room price was £32.50, but £1 had alreadt been taken from my cardby expedia (who I booked through) as card validty check.
Thats normal, so I informed the owner/landlord it'll be £31.50 as £1 taken. His curt reply, \"No its £32.50, you'll have to sort that with expedia.\" I dont care about the £1, just the way her esponded.
He may feel it has all the normal facilities of a hotel they call it. Well if
* filthy carpet with years of dirt trodden in,
* broken lights,
* grimey paintwork,
* dull decor,
* the smallest flat screen tv on the market about 10-15 feet from the bed,
* bed lined that is very questionable
* Freshness of the room relies upon both windows wide open, thus allowing the noise from the adjacent bar
then this place has it all. Never again!
How does this place justify these charges?

Not one I would recommend.

You when you drive into the carpark and enter the reception area that you have made a mistake! The smells from the kitchen and bar greet you as you enter and picking your way through the discarded cigarette butts in the door way. The staircase was dark, dank and in desperate need of redecoration. I was given a room with its own shower - many have shared bathroom facilities. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom so went and helped myself to a couple of rolls which were conveniently lying on full display behind the reception desk. On the plus side the sheets were fresh and laundered and the shower curtain new and towels clean but a little tired. I just did not feel secure in my room so cancelled my return journey booking and booked into another hotel further along the road. I chose to have a porridge pot purchased in the village, for my breakfast in my room. There is a pub and night club adjoining the hotel - you are warned about this on the web site - I would hate to think what Friday - Sunday is like!! Not one I will be revisiting.

There is nobody at reception and nobody answers the bell. The hotel is run down and dirty. The walls are thin and all the doors stick so you have to bang to get them shut. There was no light in the shared bathroom and the main light in my room didn't work either. The sheets were filthy. Pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else.

The price is the only good thing and the location. Bed was ok, but the floors were dirty (brown smear stains), not sure what that was. The kettle looked mouldy inside, all the furniture was scuffed and dirty. There was also no lightbulb and all the pull string lights on the wall didn’t work, all four. It needs some clear renovation, it’s quite rundown. It’s fine for people that are out all day like myself, if you’re planing to stay there most of the day then I’d discourage you from staying here. Obviously there’s a club and pub underneath, but I was always out late or at the club, so if you’re not into noise that’s a disadvantage. Also the manager was quite snidey.

I want a peaceful stay...don't go for this place. Ther is night club and bar which operates on the ground floor and it's open till 3AM. If you are not partying, you'll hardly be able to sleep.

Hotel was fine booking in a bit slow no one on reception room fine especially at the cost..breakfast if required was not available until after 10 which I found unsatisfactory as I would have liked cooked breakfast instead of cereal and toast which is readily available

Ok, needs some improvements

Small changes could be done to improve the rating of this hotel. The beds (twin room) were incredibly uncomfortable. New mattress are needed. A decent shower mat instead of wet towels on the floor. A 15 inch TV in a room of that size looked weird & didn’t match the size.
A good redecorate & some upgrades would drastically make this hotel worth the money.

Seen no staff our stay apart from our 10 minute wait at reception before being acknowledged by anyone, then handed our keys to our room which I can only describe as minimal and tatty, the furniture was all marked or chipped in some way, there was no plug sockets near the bed or anywhere else in the room for this matter apart from the one that the tele was plugged into as soon as you walk into the room, there was no mention of noise when we booked only to be told when we got the keys that the nightclub directly below is open until half 3 and that we would hear “a little noise” which was nowhere near to the extent that it actually was, and to top it all of one of the uncomforst beds I’ve slept in, I wouldn’t pay £20 to stay here again never mind the £80 I was robbed off the first time!

Very friendly hotel. I heard bad stories about the noise in weekends but I was there from Monday till Friday, so no problem for me.
My room could use a little engineering work (curtains, lights) but was basically okay.
