The property didnt have a toothbrush or toothpaste as mentioned in the advertisement and food prices seemed overpriced and extremely high. Extremely tiny spaces were provided for living space. And tiny gnat insects were daily on indoor table surfaces and patio space during the stay

Hotel is well situated. Staff friendly. Bed was really soft and rooms are not very modern. My main issue was 10% service charge at restaurant. In front says 3% and was charged 10%. Just include everything in price. I won't be going back.

I have been staying here for years, Stable Lodge Never fails to exceed my expectation. Im a simple travel that does not require much. The beds are clean and comfortable, good view from balcony, very responsive staff, simple amenities, good selection of channels on the TV. Near Nana station and nice restaurants. I have stayed at many hotels along soi 8 and soi 13 in the same price range over the years. This was my first stay and I cannot say enough good things about Stable Lodge: great staff, very clean room, great location, quiet, nice balcony with good view, lots of sunlight (windows on two sides of room) good mix of channels on TV that suited my tastes, reasonably good breakfast. I like no frills simple and to the point accommodation and Stable Lodge did not disappoint. Did I mention that every part of the hotel was very clean? For my needs Stable Lodge is by far the best value for my money.

Firstly and foremost all the staff at Stable are excellent, great service at all levels. Rooms are ok, make sure you book room at front of Hotel as some back rooms lack any kind of a view. Excellent breakfast at reasonable cost. I suppose the only downside that i found and feel i should mention is that although the room security is excellent the actual door locks are rather noisy upon closing.But all in all, a very nice stay.

I recently stayed at the Stable Lodge on 2 Occasions in April 2019. I have stayed there numerous times before anytime I am traveling to Bangkok.The Stable Lodge meets most of my demands in every manner except one. I do not find it acceptable to be charged an additional 750 Baht , about $15.00 US Dollars each time I used my credit card to pay for meals or my stay itself. For the additional charge I could have easily stayed in a better hotel in the area. I was really upset in learning due to this extra charge my supposedly $3.00 breakfast cost me $128.00... Once learning this I ate just a 2 minute walk down the street at The Monsoon Restaurant and I suggest any travelers do the same as they provide a very delicious breakfast buffet for only 300 baht total.
The bed is very comfortable and I always received a wonderful night sleep. The room service is excellent and very fast.
There are many things to see and do in the immediate area including by walking.
Overall The Stable Lodge is an excellent choice to stay while in Bangkok.

Little gem in heart of city.
A colleague recommended this hotel; I'm so glad I listened to his recommendation. It's a great hotel in a very convenient street 2 min walk to Nana station. I had a superior room at back of hotel so was very quiet. The bed was as good as Meridien Hotel chain !! Good was delicious. Staff very attentive. Only downside is the lack of sun lounger.. .Only 6 or so that soon get taken . But otherwise a great hotel. Definitely stay again .

Great pool, fair food. Only real downside were the jackhammers and angle grinders going from 12 -4 pm to replace the broken lift. Really should close it down during such heavy duty reconstruction, no rest or sleep possible for afternoon siesta.

I did not know when i booked the room that it would be on the 5th floor. The elevator is closed for 3 momths for repair work!. Not too convient for most people...but other than that it was a great stay. Beds were great. Bathroom and shower had nice hot water...pool was nice.

Good location on Soi 8 but much better hotels available. Quiet area at night. Room was tiny and in dire need of refurbishment. Aircon was loud and directly above bed so very heavy chest in morning. No plug in sink. Kettle in room but no tea and coffee in room. Bed was too small but I guess they couldn’t fit a king size bed in the room. Breakfast was disgusting and they charged extra for second cup of coffee. Looks okay from outside (bar area) but don’t be fooled - inside is a dump. Elevator takes 2 people or one person with suitcases. Much better options available nearby even in same street but I would suggest go to Soi 11. We stayed 2 nights but cancelled the remainder of the booking as soon as we could.

We had to move from the first room due to bed bugs but the staff were very understanding and provided a new room. The beds are very hard at this does make it difficult to sleep. However the restuarant is great with a large selection of meals very reasonablly priced. Location is fantastic (close to Nana BTS) and the pool is very relaxing. Overall a lovely little hotel

The appearance of the building is misleading, being low-rise and older style compare to it's surroundings. Inside it's mock-Tudor restaurant with a Scandinavian Smorgasbord come Romany Wagon Wheel kind of feel on the ground floor, and the outside pool and restaurant area are pleasant. The staff were welcoming, professional and attentive to my noise concern regarding the room (which didn't eventuate anyway). The room itself was clean and comfortable, if slightly dated and unfortunately damaged. I read that they had had a recent make-over, but it was a kind-off 80's Formica furniture feel with a green-brown bathroom suite. The once-nice parquet floor had been scratched and the TV was a functional old-type, but still had a multitude of English speaking channels, including sports, for all that. There are large bid-side louvred windows which are not sound-proof for nocturnal activities - either direction - so beware! My stay was good value for the area, but breakfast was not included and the good quality food was expensive, as were the drinks. A particular annoyance for the unwary is that listed prices are plus tax and plus service. The road that the hotel is on was one of the less noisy and more civilised in the area.

The hotel is on Soi 8 and it is a dead end street so doesn't get much traffic coming through as compared to Soi 11 next door. Good little area to eat and drink and the bars and clubs of Soi 11 are a 5 minute walk. The rooms are cheap and bare basics but clean.

Charming oasis in the heart of sukhumvit.
I've been staying here for nearly 8 months. I've gotten to know the staff and area. This is the only Danish themed hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms need updating and the staff has \"character\". I love this place though. It's a quiet oasis in the middle of sukhumvit. Rooms have balconies and the grounds are tranquil and calming. The restaurant is quite good and the staff is accommodating. I was in bangkok for medica reasons and I always came back to The Stable as it felt the most comfortable and relaxing, especially for the price.

Hotel spotlessly clean and the hotel staff really friendly and helpful , but food in restaurant is very good but a bit pricey considering its 2 mins away from all the other cheaper restaurants , bars and street food sellers , glass of wine double the price in Bangkok than in the uk beers and spirits a bit pricier as well but not overly expensive , the breakfast at the hotel is mediocre and small portion size but ok the hotel needs a bit of revamp and also DEFINATELY needs new mattresses and pillows for the beds , it was like sleeping on the floor with a rock as a pillow , there is a small fridge in the room to keep drinks etc cool but the strange thing is , when you take the keycard out when you go out for the day it also turns the fridge off so when you come back in the fridge and freezer department has defrosted and your drinks are warm !! ther is a minibar in the room with about 12 cans juice and couple cans beer and water etc but at 60 baht each it is very expensive to use them , considering they buy it from the 7-11 store directly opposite the hotel for 12 baht . Another thing I would say is when you order food at the restaurant they give you the menu and then hang over you like a leech till you choose what you want this is a bit off putting in my view , same as when your meal is over they hand you the bill and just wait at the table till you pay , overall it is a good hotel right in the centre of Bangkok , clean and friendly just needs a bit of tweaking here and there

I love this hotel, as its cosy, clean and the location is clean, close to shopping , public transport,food is great , it has a little pool for relaxing eating out area by the pool with beautiful garden , That will be our hotel whenever we visit Bangkok.. The hotel staffs are very helpful, friendly and I feel at home. the only problem is i was given the back room and I would appreciate it more if its well lit with brighter lights in the room and cosy lighting is needed as its very gloomy and dimly lit. Overall , i love it and I love the balcony..Its brilliant. thank you..the yummy cooking !!!balcony
