Expedia also needs to be more transparent about what floor an apt is on.
Fifth floor walk up was revealed by the manager on her shrill call, saying not her job to inform “agency” of such information.
The apt was ok the experience was dismal.

Great view, comfort in the old city.

Come ready to pound the hills - Porto is a great place to get fit just walking around! This apartment was right in the western part of the old town and gives a GREAT authentic feel of what makes Porto special - narrow, steep winding medieval streets and stairways. Apartment itself is modern, air-conditioned and has a great view west over the river. I would stay here again!

no sink plug for washing up, and slight smell of smoke from previous guests smoking when they shouldn't. Otherwise good location.
Builders working nearby woke us at 8 one morning with drilling, but otherwise it was ok.

This Porto apartment was a wonderful gem, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat! We were here in September 2018, and the weather was perfect. The 4th floor unit provides the most spectacular view of the Duoro River, and I was amazed how closeby this apartment was to the city center. Thank you Sofia!

The location and view were perfect. Everything is updated and nice. Be sure to contact the manager as to when you might arrive or you may be sitting there for hours. The apartment was 80 stair steps up. Be sure to pack light or ask for a lower apartment.

Great views!

The best feature about the apartment is the view from the top floors. Amazing!
The location is quite central, but hard to reach, you have to go up and down the hills. Also, if you are driving, parking is really difficult.

Great getaway in Porto

Nice apartment in Porto. Convenient location to the major sites & attractions. Clean & comfortable. We had the 5th floor room - amazing views. There is no elevator, which I sometimes missed after a long day of walking around Porto. The shower was a little small, by American standards, but other than that it was fine - hot water and good water pressure. It was nice having a small kitchen in the room, though the food is so good in Porto, we never took much advantage of it.

We stayed on the fifth floor with thre big windws that you can throw open to the river, the sea gulls, the early morning fog and the view. And I mean the VIEW.

Excellent stay in a well-equipped and modern apartment. Great service, and the location is close to the Rebeiro yet quiet. Minor quibbles are the bathroom being poorly ventilated and the tv being tiny with bad sound. But hey, you're not there to watch tv.

Perfect location, fair price.

Would love to stay there again. Clean, newly remodeled, balcony view of the river, glass of port on check-in. Caution: there are stairs to climb and, if you can't walk steep streets, take a taxi to the door. (But then, you;d have to take a taxi everywhere you go.)

Very good location, but parking is hard to find. The owner, Gonzalo, was wonderful. He went with my husband and they finally found a spot. It is an up and down area - lots of hills, but also a lot to see within a short walk. The apartment didn't \"wow\" me with anything, but it was certainly serviceable and did the job. Quiet street, decent mattress (but terrible pillows), thoughtful kitchen (they provided coffee for the coffee maker!).

Comfortable modern apartment

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed all modern comforts in the heart of old Porto. Driving and parking can be a challenge but nothing is impossible. The hotel staff checked us in and freed up a parking space. The place is equipped with everything you need if you choose to cook your own meals but should you decide to go out, all the great dining is right at your fingertips.

What a great apartment! Close to the action and still very quiet. The apartment was great, all of the things you need to make a meal with a quick trip to the grocery. Very spacious apartment. Quite a few hills if you walk from public transit but worth it!

Amazing views

By far our favorite hotel stay in Portugal. The apartment was immaculate with incredible views over the river. The staff was so kind and upgraded us simply cause the room was vacant. And you cannot ask for a better location. I'm hardly ever a repeat customer, but I would book this place again if I return to Porto

Very positive experience and great location

We really enjoyed the place in Porto. There was a plumbing problem and it was resolved within a few hours following notification. The location was close to the tourist area of the Rio Duro - just about 120 steps directly down to the water. The bed was comfortable, even though you could not exit from the left side only from the foot or the right when needing to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Furniture was not that comfortable for sitting around for extended periods, but we were there to be out about and exploring. We would easily stay there again!

3 days in Porto

This apartment is ideally located in Porto, head downhill via a narrow stairwell towards the Ribeira and all the bars and restaurants there, or head the other way along Rua das Flores and all its great bars and restaurants towards São Bento station where you can connect to the Metro service or the national train services.

We stayed there for 3 days and covered a lot of ground within Porto itself. once you are on the Riberia, the Ponte Luís I is a short walk away, and this will take you over the Douro to all the Port houses on the south bank. We even had time on our final day to walk out to Foz do Douro and the beaches that face the Atlantic along that coastline. NB we walked, takes just over an hour, but you can catch the tram all the out.

The apartment is a really good size for a couple, plenty of room, and useful appliances. NB for the cooker hood......pull it towards you to switch it on!!! The staff there were really helpful and friendly and as we had a late flight out, they were happy to allow us to leave our baggage in the lobby area and the entire building requires a security code to access.

We would definitely stay here again if and when we return to Porto.

Absolutely wonderful

I loved staying at Oporto Palace Apartments. I had the 4th floor apartment with a balcony and the most amazing view. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. There were so many great restaurants nearby and the train station was just a 12 minute walk away. I had a lot of difficulty finding the place but once I was there it was very easy to navigate my way around the city. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the 4th floor, but the views were worth it. This was a great find, and I highly recommend it.

Sehr schöne geräumige Wohnung, bestens ausgestattet mit allem was man in einer Ferienwohnung so braucht, sogar Kaffee, Tee, Salz und Zucker wurden kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt, Müll wurde entleert, Toilettenpapier aufgefüllt. Die Lage ist sehr günstig (fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar, für größere Entfernungen: Züge vom Bahnhof Sao Bento - ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar) und der Ausblick von den oberen Stockwerken ist fantastisch. Das Einzige was recht unangenehm auffiel, war ein muffiger Geruch im Treppenhaus, im Apartment ließen wir die Fenster stets geöffnet. Die Anreise (sowie Abreise) mit Koffern war eine Herausforderung - hügelige Gegend, steile gepflasterte Straßen und kein Aufzug in der Unterkunft...

Nous avons effectué un séjour de 4 jours. Le ménage n'a jamais été fait. A notre arrivé nous avions une serviette de bain par personne, j'ai du insister pour en avoir une seconde .... Draps du lit tâchés, poussière un peu partout et surtout des cafards ! Et pas des petits ( photos a l'appui ).
Aucune insonorisation, du bruit toute la nuit jusqu'à 3h du matin. Les travaux des 8h30 le matin....
Si vous avez une voiture il est tres difficile de trouver de la place et c'est payant.
L'immeuble etant en hauteur, il est fatiguant a la longue d'y accéder.
Bref, pour le même prix vous trouverez bien mieux.

Excelente apartamento. Muy bien equipado y decorado. Es de destacar la eficiencia y cordialidad de su manager Sofìa Ferreira. Si bien esta muy bien ubicado, hay que tener en cuenta que esta en un lugar muy elevado por lo cual se complica al subir con maletas. Buen wifi.

Situation parfaite et vue splendide sur le Douro

Nous avons séjourné dans cette hôtel pendant 6 jours pour visiter Porto et ses environs.
Il est à 50m du centre historique, du tramway 1 (pour aller voir l’océan) et du Douro. Il est vraiment pratique pour tout faire à pied. Le studio au 3ième étage est lumineux, spacieux pour 2 personnes, bien équipé, calme et avec une superbe vue sur le Douro. Pour les transferts entre l’aéroport et l’hôtel nous avons demandé à l’hôtel de nous organiser le taxi (La station de métro est un peu loin). Nous avons pu laisser nos bagages le dernier jour jusqu’à 20h pour profiter pleinement de notre journée. En conclusion, je le recommande.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in der Nähe des Flusses und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Es war in der Küche alles vorhanden was man braucht, auch Kaffee und Tee wurde kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Ansprechpartnerin war super nett und hat uns sogar einen Ausflug organisiert.

A stay with the view of Douro River and Gaia

Having an awesome view out of windows, we stay here for six nights. The apartment provides a full set of kitchen kits and coffee pots. We have everything we need for our vacation.

The location is good as well. It locates in the historic center of Porto, close to the Palace of Bolsa. Sophia, our host, is very helpful and friendly.

This is a pleasure stay for sure, and we like to come back again.

Bem localizado!

Fomos recebidas com um cálice de vinho do Porto e o atendimento pessoal foi muito bom. O hotel era bem localizado com uma vista estupenda, porém, nosso quarto estava no terceiro andar sem elevador. E temos mais de 70 anos!!!!!
