This is the new 5-star hotel in the historic centre of the city of Porto. With a great location on the pedestrian street, Rua das Flores, right next to Misericórdia Church, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the city's main tourist attractions.
This hotel with 500 years of history is a fusion of the Classic and the Contemporary and is comprised of two different buildings: a 16th-century palace and a new wing, built from scratch. The PortoBay Flores has 66 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar with access to Rua das Flores, a spa, a gym and an indoor pool with natural light.
It also has a meeting room, a reading room and an 18th-century chapel. The landscaped patio is a calm and peaceful area in which to relax in the heart of the city.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5-day stay at this hotel. Very clean and everyone seemed focussed on our enjoyment. Hotel is a lovely mixture of old and new with impressive building features. The Porto bay hotel brand seems worth signing up to. Pool / spa is small, as is the gym, but perfectly useable. Would go again.

The location is absolutely perfect, in the heart of it all. The hotel is one of the most beautiful places that blends old with new with a courtyard that marries both in the middle. If you are looking for a clean, friendly, perfect place to stay in Porto, I HIGHLY recommend the PortoBay Flores Hotel. The restaurant was incredible and the bartenders are topnotch. On a side note, I had a sore throat and asked the bartender for something to soothe it. He made a drink with honey, lemon, and orange liquor, brandy and much love... It literally ended my sore throat! Let that magic happen for you are PortoBay Flores!!!

The food at the bar could improve as well but was not bad. The only problem is that taxis can't drop you off at the hotel and you have to walk uphill a little with the luggage. Beautiful hotel located in a very convenient area. Easily walkable to main areas as well as to the bus stop to take you up the coast to Foz area. The hotel is also located on a pedestrian only street which was lovely. The pool and saunas (dry and wet options) were exceptional in making my stay that much more relaxing. It rained and was windy during part of my stay and the hotel had very sturdy umbrellas available for guests. Very convenient as I did not need to purchase one for my stay. The hotel staff was also very welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond assisting me when the elevator was not working to bring me up to my floor after using the spa amenities. They updated my keys, tested them, and brought them directly to my room. It was very much appreciated! They were also able to store my luggage before and after check in, allowing me to take full advantage of exploring the beautiful city. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to other travellers!

Excellent service from before check-in till check-out. Arrangements for Airport transfer went without a hitch and with the added bonus of being delivered to the door of the hotel. The street is limited access and most transports will drop you off a block away. Room was spacious and well appointed. Cafe was well provisioned and the cocktails were spot on. We opted from breakfast and it did not disappoint. We split our stay and stored our luggage at the desk. It was in our room for the second part of our stay without any prior arrangement. If you are looking for a top end experience in the center of all that is fun and historic in Porto this is your place to stay

A superior upper floor room … touted as a vip accommodation was extremely small / tight for 2 people. We had no place to put our luggage and no room to dress. I paid the same amount as my cousin and his room was much much bigger. I think they gave away the room I paid for to someone else. I complained to the manager but not much could be done.

Hotel in a very convenient central position to be able to walk to all areas of Porto centre and to the river. The front part of the hotel is in a very attractive old palace building, with grand rooms. Most rooms are in a nicely designed modern block behind (basic/classic rooms are quite small). Tram to the coast 5-10 minutes walk away. The staff were superb, very good, attentive service levels at the front desk, catering and housekeeping. Breakfast was exemplary as were the breakfast and restaurant staff.

Gorgeous hotel. We had visited Porto Bay Rio de Janeiro on our honeymoon so were very excited to visit one of the sister hotels. We had a room with a balcony which overlooked the beautiful courtyard. We loved the way many of the original baroque features had been kept. There was even a quiet little reading room with some boardgames, a fireplace and jazz music. The spa was small but very nicely done out with everything we needed.
There was building work going on very close by on weekdays (nothing anyone can do about that), but the windows were well soundproofed and kept the noise out. The location is ideal - aboit 5.minutes from the waterfront and loads of cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep.

Lovely Hotel in the Perfect Location!
This is a lovely hotel in the heart of Porto. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The hotel excels in cleanliness. One of the hotel security guards was a little wierd. While I was waiting to meet friends in the lobby, he stood there staring at me for about 10 minutes. That was actually the only time in Porto that I felt uncomfortable.

This hotel is in a perfect location to stay for a few days. The hotel is beautiful, as well as the area around it. Our room was spacious with lovely garden views. We could easily have stayed here for a much longer time. The amenities are plentiful and the staff is very friendly. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street, so not all transport companies can drive directly on the street. There may be a short walk depending on how you arrive at the hotel. It was not a problem for us.
