Overall the location of this hotel is extremely convenient, close to many attractions. Unfortunately they do no actually have laundry despite saying that they do on Expedia, they actually laughed at us for even wasting about laundry. There is a laundromat around the corner but it gets very busy around 1700. It is very noisy, we could hear other guests alarms, children running around and staff arguing with each other. The bathroom was not clean, with other peoples body hair still in the bathroom

Staff were friendly, room was small but it is affordable and in a great location. Plenty of great eats in the area. 24 hr desk, so felt everything is safe. Some street noise will be a problem if you’re a light sleeper. No elevator. A/C unit works, but hard to adjust.

If you want to stay at the Ritz, pay to stay at the Ritz. This place is the sort of place I love: simple, affordable, and located in an ideal place from which to tour the city on foot. This hotel hits the target on all points. While I was disappointed to find that the promised free parking was a mistake (now fixed) that's ok; there was an underground garage nearby and even with that cost included, we still paid less than most other hotels with free parking.
Really, though, with a location just steps from the Torre dos Clerigos, it was incredibly convenient as a home base. So many of the best sights are an easy walking distance.
I would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed our one night stay here. The owners are very nice and helpful. Good continental breakfast. Room was a bit small with 2 beds and it’s in a noisy area but that’s to be expected in this central location and good for what we paid, less than $100. I would stay here again.

Small hotel in central Oporto

This little hotel is centrally situated near the Torre dos Clerigos and in the historic centre of Oporto. Staff speak a little English but more Spanish. They are very hospitable and offered coffee, tea but also wine and port from their family vineyards to try. Breakfast was generous and staff were helpful about finding our way around. We loved staying here, but of course it’s noisy at night due to its central location.

If you don’t speak Portuguese do not choose this.

There is no elevator. You have to carry all the luggage up to check in and carry all the the stuffs to the upper floor.
There are no sound proof on each room. You can hear the upper floor room or your neighbour’s room talking and laughing. There are noise from the street too.
I am so unlucky that I can hear my other’s room laughing and talking until 5am. But was waken up from other rooms showing and talking @ 7am.

There was drilling and construction work going on directly opposite from 07.30 daily which was extremely noisy.

The room was poorly designed, if clean and cleaned daily, with little storage space and room to store baggage. If you had more than one bag this would be very difficult to store.

The area outside the room was available for smokers and the smoke from this drifted into the room.

The Metro construction work across the city did create some access issues/diversions.

The positives were a very good shower, not always common, and working and efficient air conditioning. The hotel is also very well located near to sights and eating options. It also had a 24 hr reception.

Horrible stay, I booked as I only wanted a place to sleep for a few hours before a really early flight. Booked and paid for my stay on Expedia and arrived to be charged again by the owner and when I complained I was yelled at for 15 minutes in Portuguese by him. Think it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The room was very basic which I expected, no air conditioning and noise from the other guests in hallway most of the night but it was just the yelling that really upset me.

Very well located, just beside Torre dos Clerigos, a few distance from everything in the Historical City Centre and the Rio Douro.
A simple but good breakfast, water, coffee and Port wine available all day long.

When I arrived the manager told me that I had to may 6 euros tourist tax. Yes, I knew about tha. Then he aske for 6 euros for what he called ‘shower tax’. I protested and mentioned that in 100s of hotels, I had never heard of such a thing. He backed off. My room was super tiny, but I was able to manage.

Hostal was only adequate. Breakfast was disappointing--only bread, one kind of sliced cheese, weak coffee, no juice, and cornflakes. Kitchen was way too small for more than one person to move around it. It was, however, very convenient to some major sites and they let me leave my bags there, after checkout.

A good budget option in Porto's old town

Braganca Hotel is definitely a budget option. For the price it's pretty good. The rooms are small, but clean. The bathroom is shared. The mattresses are super hard, but that was fine for me. There is a kitchen area with a microwave, so you can make your own food if you are really on a budget. There is a staircase and no elevator, which could be hard for some to carry luggage up. The staff were friendly. The hotel is right by the main nightlife, which can be noisy at night.

The location was excellent the room basic but I expected that, no TV - on well I can live without it. WiFi was a bit weak but such is life and I coped. The main thing that influences my opinion is the people and here they were superb and helpful. Free guest coffee, port and food was nice to have and I would say next time I'm in the area it will be high on my consideration list.

The location was good but there is no lift, the recepsionist was not really friendly...the kitchen has no kettle to make hot water. No water on the dispenser...no tea as promised...some improvement for the service would be good..there were mosquitoes on our first day...however it was ok...the price is good. I would not stay at that hotel for future visit though..

This is a hostel NOT a hotel

This is not a hotel. It is a hostel masquerading online as a hotel. I had booked two separate rooms. When we arrived the guy at the desk tried to give us just one room saying that we only booked two beds not two separate rooms. After we showed him the email confirmation he pretended to go and call someone in the office and left us waiting. When he came back he still tried to give us one room instead of the two that were booked. After about 30 minutes of waiting he finally relented and gave us our two separate rooms. When we got to our rooms we realized that this was a hostel not a hotel. Each room slept four people on bunk beds with a pull out and a single bed. The bathroom reeked and there was no air conditioning. The only way to get air into the room is to open the balcony door. However, the balcony is connected to other rooms allowing other guest to enter your room if you have not locked it before leaving the room. It's a cheap place to stay but it is not a hotel.

Great location, convenient, very helpful staff

The rooms are small but very well maintained and very cool with the fan they install (gratis). Beds very clean and comfortable and the staff incredibly helpful in sorting another bed for the night at another hotel (at a discount no less, and another good hotel just up the road) when it turned out they were fully booked for the next night. Fully recommended for those on a budget who are travelling alone or with another and want the privacy not always afforded by youth hostels.

great location, not great everything else

I missed a night I booked because of a flight cancellation that resulted in a 24 hour delay. The man running the place still charged me for even though I stayed an extra night from my booking. Fine. The Wi-Fi didn't work the first two nights, only the morning that we left after I convinced the cleaning lady to restart it. Fine. The hot water didn't work at all and when I asked he said that it does. It doesn't. I asked the cleaning lady again and she said she doesn't know how to it and to ask the guy when he got back. He never came back before checkout. Not ok. The location of course it's nice although sometimes the street was loud even at night. Oh and the mornings always began early because the cleaning ladies would chat outside our door every morning. The room was small, tv big, common kitchen nice and large. No one spoke English - I spoke Portuguese. We are a young couple that don't mind small inconveniences that don't usually get bothered by hotel rooms because we are always our and about.

Not Fair!!!

It does not worse for the money!!! The hotel was really clean and the employee was really nice, but the cold that was into the room was ridiculous, during the night was really cold and they do not have central heat just a portable heater that was not working and they did not have another to replaced it, and the cover that they have in the room was not enough, was a terrible experience in the cold night. In the bathroom they do not have heater also and was hard to shower in that freezing room. We were 2 couples in a room with a 4 singles bed. Thank God we stayed there just one night . I just wonder why most reviews are good because for that reason I booked, otherwise I could booked at another place, I was very disappointed with the people's reviews from this hotel. Can I get my money back????

Facilities were basic, with a shared bathroom for example and the room a bit small, but the place perfectly adequate and very clean. The staff were helpful. Location was ideal, just a few minutes from the main train station Sao Bento. My only complaint is that the curtain was rather thin, and I therefore had to get changed in the dark. They don't accept all credit cards, so remember to take cash!

Dårligt isoleret både med hensyn til støj fra gaden og kulde/varme, det trak ind af badeværelsesvinduet, da der ingen forsegling var på vinduerne (så om vinteren kunne jeg forestille mig det blev lidt koldt?). Badeværelset var småt, og er man enten høj, dårligt til bens eller lidt større, vil man få sig lidt udfordringer i forhold til plads på toilettet og i brusekabinen. Badeværelset var nogenlunde rent, dog med stænk på gardin og bag gardinet var der ikke gjort rent med støv og andet, og brusehovedet var løst, så endte med selv at måtte holde bruseren. Selve værelset var småt, havde et lille køleskab (super bonus), og ellers fint, og vi mest var ude. Fin lukket fælles ´balkon´ med små borde og stole, hyggeligt at sidde og kigge ud på gaden. Rygning var tilladt på balkonen, desværre spredte røgen sig, og flere af værelserne, havde enten dør eller vinduer vendt ud mod, så vær opmærksom på det når du bestiller.
Der er en del (snævre) trapper, og receptionen/værelserne ligger fra 1 sal og op, så er man dårligt gående, er det ikke et ideelt valg.

Ville bestemt booke der igen.

Uns hat der service und die lage überzeugt! Trotz sprachbarriere sehr höfliches und hilfsbereites personal. Die zimmer sind sehr klein, aber es reicht. Wir sind mit backpacks gereist, es war dann kein plan mehr zum laufen. Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage sind vorhanden. Was besonders positiv ist: es gibt einen SmartTV wo man sich bei Netflix oder Youtube anmelden kann.

Sie lage ist phenomenal.Man ist quasi 5 minuten von allem entfernt. Restaurants, Wahrzeichen, Souvenirs, alles in direkter Nähe. Wir sind einen Tag an den Strand mit dem Bus gefahren. Kann man machen, hat aber ewig gedauert. Ich empfehle stattdessen die App Bolt herunterladen. Das ist Taxi/Uber und viel günstiger und schneller :)

Wir würden das Hotel auf jeden fall weiterempfehlen für Leute die kein Hotel Urlaub sondern Erlebnisurlaub machen wollen.

Se trata de una habitación normal con espacio pero bastante vieja. El baño estaba un poco descuidado, no cerraba la puerta y la mampara cerraba mal. Hay ruidos que vienen de las zonas comunes (se oye bastante las llegadas y salidas) aun con eso merece la pena principalmente por lo céntrico y cómodo que está. Volvería

Propriété très bien placée, à 5 minutes de marche de la gare/métro Sao Bento. Les principales attractions de Porto sont toutes proches, il est possible de marcher pour tout visiter. Plusieurs options de restaurants dont celui qui se trouve au rez-de-chaussé (non affilié a l'hôtel) et qui offre un excellent rapport qualité/prix.

Le service était très ordinaire, les employés ne parlent que le portugais et ne sont pas particulièrement chaleureux ou sympathiques. La chambre familiale est petite, mais il y a bien 4 lits (un double, 3 simples), et une petite armoire pour ranger quelques sacs. Ne pas réserver si vous êtes 5 avec des valises! Ca fonctionne avec des sacs à dos mais il y a vraiment très peu d'espace lorsque les lits sont utilisés.

La climatisation fonctionnait bien, et le lit principal (double) était très comfortable.

포르투의 오래된 호텔은 다 비슷하것쥬

1인 여행자, 작은 캐리어가 짐의 전부인 분에게 적합한 숙소예요.
포루투 상벤투역과 가깝다는 점, 골목안이라 한밤중 덜 시끄럽다는 점이 장점입니다.
더블룸 혼자 예약했는데 더블 침대가 방을 다 차지하고 있어서 몸을 움직일 공간이 거의 없었네요. 백팩 하나 메고 왔는데 캐리어 둘 공간 자체가 없어요. 저는 혼자 더블침대 쓰니까 백팩을 침대 한쪽에 놔뒀어요. 캐리어 가지고 오실 분들은 여기 묵으면 안될듯요. 게다가 프런트가 2층, 숙소는 거기서부터 4층까지인데 좁고 가파른 계단 타셔야 합니다. 엘베 없어요.
포르투의 오래된 호텔은 비슷하다고 들었습니다. 이 점 감수하고 숙소 잡으시기 바랍니다.

スタッフの態度。テレビがあるけど映らない、冷蔵庫あるけど、コンセント無い。設備も事前に支払っている宿泊料金に含まれる。何とかしてくれと依頼も、私はメカニックではない。それで終わり。部屋の変更か支払済みの料金の割引を交渉したが、多国語対応と書かれていたが、話すのはポルトガル語のみ。
他の客は私の評価高いのに、貴男とは合わないまで言われた。
生涯経験したことのない、最低のホテル。

Bom!

Atendente super receptiva, chegamos 1:30 antes e guardou nossas malas. E deixou a gente entrar 15 minutos antes do checkin.
Porém meu apto era no terceiro andar, ou seja, não tinha elevador e era bem cansativo.
Localização excelente perto do centro histórico, estação de metrô e trem.

Ik vond de kamer erg klein. Maar buiten dat was het een okee hotel, met vriendelijk personeel. Je moet flink bergop vanaf het station naar het hotel, dus houd daar rekening mee als u niet goed ter been bent. Taxi kan er voor de deur komen.

Bra läge, svårt med parkering för bil

Superläge i historiska delen av staden men svårt att hitta dit med bil.
Ingen upplyste oss om att det fanns möjlighet till kök. Dyrt äta frukost ute.
Personalen var i övrigt trevliga.

Nuitées Porto vieille ville

4 nuitées pour découvrir Porto. Établissement bien situé par rapport à l'activité de la ville au pont Luis et aux quais. Un peu bruyant qd même.
La chambre que nous avions etait un peu petite.
Parking a proximité mais un peu cher.

Personnel sympathique et accueillant. Chambre très exiguë, humide ( les serviettes de toilettes ne sèchent pas, tout comme le linge dans lequel on a transpiré), manque d'isolation thermique et surtout phonique. On entend tous les bruits de la rue : discussion des gens, passants qui crient, travaux dès 7h du matin...
