Great place to stay. The bedroom was huge 3 queen beds and 2 full bathrooms. The decorations and the details on the ceilings gave us the impression that we were staying in a bedroom of a palace. Staff were super friendly and the breakfast was WOW!! I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

This place was centrally located, easy to arrive from the airport, friendly staff, clean beds, mostly clean in the bathroom and floors, but not perfectly done.
I checked out one day early and they were not able to offer a refund although they re-rented my room. I thought they could’ve given me at least partial of the night back since they re-rented the room.

Great central location convenient to train and metro station. Interesting building history and architecture, and great staff and breakfast room. Only downside was our room was above the reception and overlooked the busy and popular pedestrian street, so noise was noticeable until nearly midnight, then started early with interior noise from other guests in reception and stairwell. Overall we would still recommend this small hotel, as it was a great location in the city and we enjoyed our stay in Porto.

Great spot for a multi day visit to Porto

Great location near all the things you came to see. Very accessible. Staff was always so lovely. Room was super clean and we loved the balcony windows where we could sit and watch the street below. Only minor issue was that as a converted house(??) there’s one room per floor and, on the first level, our bedroom door opened onto the common staircase so people going up and down early or late, or the front door to the street slamming shut, were loud and disruptive to sleep. The street noises were not bad because modern windows were quite sound proof. Also the pillows could be newer/better. Otherwise, breakfast was superb, staff was lovely, and the hotel was safe and clean and comfortable.

Quirky, labyrintine hotel near São Bento train station. Room was tiny and luckily with windows facing the courtyard, because area around the street is VERY loud. Still, I was woken up by seagulls every day around 5:30am, whose cries penetrate the closed windows. The bathroom also tends to stink (of sewer) every morning, coming either from the shower drain or the toilet. The bed & room are good otherwise -- and the breakfast was great.

Our stay at Casa dos Lóios by Shiadu in Porto was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their attentiveness, friendliness, and willingness to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home.
The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had the wonderful surprise of a balcony, which was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere of Porto. The building itself exudes old world charm, blending historic character with modern comfort.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommended and absolutely five stars!

Fabulous location! The staff are wonderful and the breakfast had a great selection. Our room was at the far back of the hotel, walking through the courtyard and up the stairs. Lovely older building. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We left our luggage before we checked in and when we returned our luggage had been moved to our rooms. The housekeeping was impeccable and buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious! A great and centrally located property.

This hotel was a top stay for us. It was located right in the middle of everything so you could explore the city and restaurants with ease. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly and kind staff who talked us through the amenities and walked us to our room. The Breakfast in the mornings were delightful and delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable. All in all this is the place to stay when visiting the city

Everything was good, staff was wonderful. The only comment is that the rooms are a bit small, at least ours, as well as the elevator.
But, I would gladly return to this nice hotel instead of any bigger and more formal ones.

It was a well restored querky hotel in a good location. Originally built in the 16th century with a room allowed for a reading room with a light good enough to allow easy reading and board games and a stocked fridge funded by an honesty board.

Highly recommend!

There are not enough words to describe how cute and quirky and beautiful this hotel is. All I can say is that I was very sad to leave! The staff are so incredibly sweet and kind and helpful. Breakfast was legitimately the best I’ve had in Portugal so far. The location doesn’t get better if you’re looking to be in the middle of all the action. And the balcony and the complimentary bottle of wine were just the cherry on top to the perfect day and stay. Also the bed was insanely comfy and the shower was excellent. This is a must-stay experience. Highly recommend!

This is my 3rd stay at this bed/breakfast chain and this was my favorite location. Our room overlooked Rua Flores and we were right in the middle of the action! Our room was super clean and spacious with Romeo/Juliey doors overlooking the popular pedestrian street- Rua Flores. Tall ceilings with lovely plaster decor to admire. I will definitely come back to this location on my next trip’

Amazing front desk staff and very nice lady at the breakfast. Overall a great experience. Breakfast was amazing. Everything was fresh even the juices were freshly squeezed. You can also ask for Freshly made omlette or scrambled eggs. However you like. They have pastries and your latte available all day long. Hope we get to come here soon some day in future. Thanks

The place is near “everything”. The staff is very friendly, especially Maria Luiza from reception, she is simply an angel. Breakfast, what can I say? Unique; a variety of fruit, vegetables, breads, cheeses, coffee, teas…I mean, you eat and you have it all to walk the city two times over. For my family and I, it’s a repeat, definitely.

It was my first time in Porto and this hotel was at a convenient location at a good price. Well, I am beyond glad I chose this one over the others. The staff here is just amazing. They are so attentive, helpful, and have great attitude. The location is perfect. The hotel itself is the cutest thing ever. The decoration and style and the way the room is set up (plus the bed was so comfy). And lastly, the breakfast was SPLENDID. Variety of foods to choose from, ALL delicious. Fruits, vegetables, fresh juice, pastries, I mean wow! I will definitely stay here again and at any other chain.

Small boutique hotel, with great location.walking distance to all major attractions. It is an old property converted to a hotel, room was very spacious, bathroom was in the small size, but it workout well.
Breakfast was delicious. Parking is across the street, for 30 euros a day.

This hotel is right on a very popular pedestrian only street (but on a corner where a taxi can park). Very charming with restaurants and shops. Close walk to the river. Excellent location. It is also in an historic building from the 16 or 17 century. Lots of charm. The staff is one of the most helpful I have had. They booked as airport transport both ways, they were very kind and helpful at all times, and when we had to leave before breakfast to get our flight, they made us a to go box of food without us even asking.

This was the perfect location for our first visit to Porto! Its location is so close to the train Porto Sao Bento, the waterfront and an easy walk to the other side. We had plenty of restaurants to choose from and everything seemed like a 10 min walk. It was in the middle of everything, but you wouldn’t know it once you went inside. The hotel was decorated so nicely and very clean. The staff were so helpful and very friendly. The breakfast each morning was fantastic! We found the little courtyard to be perfect for a glass of wine before we headed to dinner. Highly recommend this hotel!

My partner and I had a lovely stay at this hotel - it was just right for our needs.

Pros:
- very well located, we loved being right on the pedestrian street and close to everything we wanted to see
- clean rooms, stocked with the basics
- we had a balcony room which was lovely for having a moment outdoors in the morning and evening, and allowed for good air in the room (plus nice light)
- Staff were incredibly nice and helpful
- Breakfast was tasty and nice to have available (plus some patio seating)

Cons:
- Room was a bit older looking than the photos (both the room/bathroom itself and also the furniture)
- Seagulls were extremely loud throughout the night - bring earplugs if sensitive sleeper!
- Price was a bit high, but again, was the perfect spot for us, so we still recommend!
