There was not a breakfast option, but this hotel was in the perfect location to walk to coffee, pastries, brunch!
All the staff was so nice-the bartender made small talk with us, the staff at the desk was so helpful, especially when we needed a room past check out so my daughter and fiancé could change after taking wedding photos!
Location was the best! The lobby and bar offered wonderful space to hang out - very clean!
My only complaint would be the stair way between floors, it was very dark with no hand rail-and my mother in law missed a step, it needs more light OR take the elevator!

Exceptional Stay in a Prime Location
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel from start to finish. The staff were immediately welcoming, kindly offering to store our luggage while we searched for parking.

Parking tip: There's a convenient lot on the same street as the hotel. We paid €1.20/hour (€28 total for our stay). We visited in November and found ample spaces when we arrived around 10:30am, though rates may vary during peak season.

The location was absolutely perfect. While we walked extensively throughout our visit, it was reassuring to know the hotel was never more than 10-15 minutes on foot from major attractions. This proximity made our trip so much more enjoyable and less stressful.

The breakfast exceeded our expectations with a wide variety of delicious options. Our room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable—everything we needed for a restful stay.

Highly recommend this top-tier hotel for anyone visiting the area!

Rooms very small our window view was of a concrete wall. Was told the bar would have a menu of sandwiches and snacks…… they offered only 3 options when we got there.

Our room had very little natural light as it faced a building very close by. The lighting in room was insufficient. We did not have breakfast there as we left very early to catch our flight. The location was excellent. Only for the location we would stay there again but would ask for a better room with more light.

Room was overall clean, it can be noisy, you can hear the neighbours. Here’s a big one: WIFI didn’t work the whole time we were there, and staff just says: we will let “them” know. I definitely don’t think it’s a 4- star hotel. Location is great though. Be aware that the safe is not bolted in, so someone can walk off with the safe.
Room is quite dated. Staff also wasn’t too friendly in comparison with all the other hotels we stayed at in Portugal.

The property is in a perfect location however the rooms are small, ill equipped for accommodating wardrobe and the beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. We could not get a good nights sleep due to the terrible mattresses. My husband slept on the small sofa due to his back issues. Additionally, the bathroom was poorly lit, not suitable for grooming.

The location was awesome but my room was disappointing. It was on the first floor and didn’t have a window. There was a door that opened to a brick wall. The room and bathroom were very dark, even depressing. The air conditioning was excellent, the hot water came and went. The WiFi was slow and went down for a day making it difficult to get anything done.

Best part of this hotel is its location...
Our room (323) was small and with an eave ceiling. We could not stand up in one corner of the room. The \"carpet\" was filthy. This property needs a big upgrading.

Second time staying here. The location is fantastic - so many amazing restaurants and bars nearby, and very close to the river.

Staff are really friendly and the rooms are comfortable.

The only negatives are, if you are in a street facing room, it can be very noisy at night. And the gym is poorly equipped with some machines broken.

2 nights in Porto

This hotel is perfect in terms of location. We had 2 nights here exploring Porto. Uber from the station and back and after that everything was easily walkable. We didnt have breakfast as felt it too expensive but found plenty elsewhere closeby. Room was spacious, although the internal window into the bathroom was somewhat unusual....thankfully we found the blind!
Would definitely stay again.

The location is excellent. The hotel looked lovely but there were few amenities in the room. We had to ask for a kettle, even though the base was there. No shower cap, q-tips etc, no robes, no face/ wash clothes. They were even charging a euro to look after a suitcase. For a 4* hotel this is disappointing.

The hotel was clean and in a central place to stay... Bed was awful and had to ask to be changed to another room at 23.30 hours.. To be fair, they moved us straight away to a different room. The bed was a little bit better but not the best considering the hotel is a 4☆... if the hotel had of been full(as it was the next night) and they couldn't move us to a different room i definitely wouldn't have slept!!

The Hotel has an excellent location, and is a impressive historic stone built building. It has a complex internal layout and it would be helpful if you were given a layout plan on arrival. The buffet breakfast had some good chesses, breads and a fine selection of local cakes. Our room only had one window which only had a view of the back of another building. The 'King sized bed' booked was two single beds pushed together, but made up as singles with very hard mattresses.

Quick check in and out. Overall quality and cleanliness was very good. On site bar and restaurant were both good. Only complaint was the hardness of the bed mattress. After sleeping on one of the hardest mattress I have experienced for 5 nights, it will take some time for my back to fully recover.

The location being near the river was really nice. We enjoyed walking across the bridge and stopping at all of the vendors. We were within walking distance of many places but when our destination was too far we had the convenience of the taxi stand right across the street. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and comfortable. There were many sitting areas throughout the main level. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of variety. The bar was a favorite spot to hang out most nights and the bartender was excellent. The bed was a lot firmer than I like but I slept well each night. The room size was generous as were the amount of outlets. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel in good location

Loved the location of the hotel. Room was lovely and comfortable although a little dark.
Staff were friendly and helpful as well as being knowledgeable about the products they served.
Food in the restaurant was delicious and the drinks menu varied.
The only thing the hotel could improve on was staff numbers. On an evening, only one serving at the bar so often we'd be waiting a while to get served while the took their break or do a room service order.

When I made reservations for this property, there were several options for rooms and beds at different price points. I selected the more than $50/night price markup for a king-sized mattress. When we arrived, we were given two twin mattresses. We were told by the girl with the \"FATE\" tattoos on her fingers that there was no guarantee of mattress size when we checked-in and that there was no refund of the difference in price despite paying a substantial upcharge for something that was part of the booking process. Based on this experience, and losing money, and their\"no guarantees\" policy, I don't see that it makes sense to book this hotel online. The price range is too great not to have them guarantee their rooms and not refund the price difference when they intentionally take your money for something that they likely can't deliver. Otherwise, great location and clean, but not honorable.

I’ll start with the great things- location is perfect, very central, right on the water, ton of food and shopping options, beautiful location. Property is very nice and the breakfast has a huge selection of an abundance of delicious food.

Less than ideal- WiFi didn’t work, and my room was located on the ground floor directly across from the elevator so I heard everyone anytime they were at the elevator having a conversation. And the pillows were the absolute worst if you want a comfortable night sleep.

This hotel is in the perfect location and near basically anything you’d want to visit in Porto! The room was very nice, clean, and well equipped, and the staff were all very friendly. We were on the 2nd floor with windows facing the road and didn’t have any issues with noisiness. Would stay here again.

This hotel is in the very heart of where you want to be in Porto. As with many hotels in busier European towns parking is challenging, but if you can unload/load your car just out front and to the right of the hotel, there is underground parking a short walk away. There is also more affordable above ground parking a 5 minute walk just past McDonalds ( I know) on the river.

Practical point - road at front of hotel is very busy and noisy even with windows closed, so if you have trouble sleeping through traffic noise ask for a room not facing the road.

The stay has been terrific. The staff friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and the hotel has a lovely bar for meeting and just relaxing. It is a great location. I love how quiet the rooms are in the evening. There was no one loudly talking in the hallways or banging doors at all hours of the evening. The breakfast was delicious and had so many different choices for any food palate. The only thing that I am disappointed in is the beds are too hard. I prefer a firm bed, not a hard bed. I wouldn't be able to sleep too many days in a row in the hard bed.

Great night here!

We did a quick overnite stay ahead of a boat cruise. Check in and out were easy, location was good, staff helpful and friendly, they held our bags for the day, and the all inclusive breakfast was fantastic!!!! Our only comment was the bathrooms were very small as two people needed to get ready at the same time and it was tight! Overall, great stay ofor our needs!

After a long trip, we woke up at 11am and missed the breakfast - breakfast was ended at 10:30am. We had 3rooms in this hotel as we were party of 7. Breakfast was all pre paid in advance by travel agency so there was no option the get money back. When we arrive to lobby, all they said sorry you missed it, put policy is breakfast ends at 10:30am. They didn’t offer anything to make us feel better - no coffee, no water, no snacks, no partial credit towards lunch (we were willing to have lunch at their restaurant and pay the difference). Even though we fully paid breakfast to this hotel but we were able to get nothing. Instead went out to another restaurant outside and got lunch somewhere else. I found this attitude, not Customer’e friendly or accommodating ):

Staff at check-in and check-out not friendly or inviting did not providing any information about hotel other than how to find the room. Charged €2.50 for a tiny bottle of water from the mini bar, if we knew this was not complimentary we could have purchased elsewhere at a reasonable price. Kettle in room didnt work so could not have tea/coffee. Beds were twin when booked a double, a bit hard but overall comfortable sleep. Great location in town, wish the atmosphere matched the 4* rating.

We are disappointed! We got shock when we came back to our room the day that the receptionist told us that we can move to a lower floor room without the extra 10 steps of the original room. We were told they are moving our room at 3pm, we told the staff, we will be back before 3pm we still have more things to pack. But, when we came back to our room, everything all gone, and the safe is empty and open!! We got very nervous, what happening? We went downstairs to us , she said she had the cleaning lady to pack everything for us. I asked what about my personal items in safe? That is one thing they should never touch! We traveled around the world staying many hotels always the hotel staffs will reminding you to remove your personal item in the safe, they won't go to open the safe especially we are still the guess there. We were told they will help us to carry the baggage for us, never mentioned they will go to the safe and move our passport, cash, and jewelry out, without our present in the room. The worst is next, after all the argument. She said our personal belonging is with the front desk. When I went there with her, i cant believe my eyes, they just leave all my items right at the reception counter, open area that anyone can just pick it up. I was more shocked at that point!! Why no common sense, these are vauleable items, at least should have keep it in the lock drawer and instead of just left in the open counter area that many people in and out can see it. I am

I got a room on the street side and it was very noisy. The train woke me up 3 times during the night. It’s unfortunate that they’re so close to the train because otherwise the hotel was amazing. Clean, comfortable, beautiful design, great customer service and amazing location.
