Nice place in front of the river, very clean and all the equipment you need, but the place doesn’t have elevator, not recommended if you have mobility problems or traveling with heavy luggages

Easy, quick and friendly virtual check-in and access to apartment. Although not huge certainly felt roomy and comfortable. Modern finish. Well equipped, separate kitchen which was good. Good to find a proper hairdryer in the bathroom. Cleaner came daily (but not bedmaking) fantastic location, stunning view from your bed across the river and bridge. Would recommend and stay again.

The location is good, but getting there was very hard - staircases upon staircases (should be put as a disclaimer). Apt is small but clean and was good for one night. The pullout sofa could use another mattress topper for better sleep. Good location for wine tasting seekers - but overall it’s very basic, just to spend a night. The staff was very nice and good communication

I had a wonderful time staying in this apartment. It has an incredible view of the bridge. The place had everything I needed, I’m very happy that I chose to stay here and I would definitely stay here again. The Wi-Fi is great, I was able to work comfortably without any issues. I especially love the location as I could easily walk to restaurants and even went jogging in Villa Nova de Gaia.

The place is nice with the view of the bridge but it was SO NOISY! They picked up the recycling bins and maybe crushed the bottles near where we’re staying because it was really loud. Motorcycles were soooo loud.
If you don’t need a good nights sleep, you can stay at this place, but if you value your sleep, don’t bother booking here.
We were hoping to get 2 restful nights before our camino walk but we never had a chance to do that.
Overall, Porto is a nice town, people are nice and it’s a good starting point for the camino walk.

It was a little noisy with construction on the Luis bridge underway, and plus the well-used road just outside the window. Also, the check-in was a little disorganized and we had hoped that we could get our room a little earlier in the day. Other than that, however, it was a terrific stay, and we loved the room and the location. Our stay in Porto was so special because of that apartment - thank you!

The fact it was right in front of the river was perfect. I think an iron and ironing board would have been really useful as my clothes had creased in my bag so when I wanted to wear something nice for dinner, I was unable to.

Instructions in how to use the heater would have been useful too as I did not not what I was supposed to be pressing. But luckily there was a spare electric heater to use so that was useful since the room got really cold at night. But overall, I will happily stay in this apartment again.

The property itself was amazing! The location was gorgeous, on the river, right under the Ponte Luis I and directly across from the monastery. There were cafes around and it was walkable to absolutely everything. I arrived very late, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. They also helped me during my entire stay and responded immediately to email. The room was wonderful and I wish I could have stayed longer. I didn't even use the kitchen, which was incredible. Thank you, Ribeira Cinema Apartments!

The apartments are located at the bottom of the staircase near the river. The view from the bedroom is amazing. AC really helped out.

Property is in a great location. However, don't expect much sleep! You can hear everyone and everything all night and in morning. Bathroom is so small you have to step into the shower to open and close the door! Had ants crawling around too. We had the bottom apartment. Said river view, yes, if you open the front door! Windows view blocked. Unless your 8ft tall. Poor poor place i felt.

Tidy room with beautiful view

Located by Lulz I Bridge with beautiful view. Apartment room is not large but very tidy. Guests can cook in kitchen, then take a cup of wine to sit by window to see the beautiful bridge.

Fantastic location, good facilities (eg. Table and couch), clean, modern style, also really liked Batman theme! Very friendly check in assistance and checkout instructions were very clear. Couldn’t get TV to work (no signal) but I only wanted to watch for a little while, but would have been nice if it worked. Also it would’ve useful to know more clearly that apartments are 1.5 km from hostel, my initial impression was that they were next to one another. After a query email I got very clear instructions, but it would be better if they came with the booking confirmation. But overall, great place, reasonable price, I would stay there again.

The location was very good, near to historical centre & local attractions. Apartment could be excellent with a few minor tweaks. Two ladies found it frustrating that there was no mirror in the bedrooms when getting ready for dinner, especially if you want to blow dry your hair! The only mirror in the whole apartment was in the bathroom. Second bedroom had nowhere to hang clothes, no wardrobe? Tiny travel kettle not big enough to make a brew for 4 adults? Check in too late 4pm we arrived on a very early flight had 6 hours to wait for check in. Bathroom shower door needs cleaning, lot of black mould at bottom of door. Would highly recommend these apartments if these minor faults were addressed.

The Apartment was in great condition and had all of the amenities you would need on a short vacation. The Location can't be beat, within a short walk of the riverfront with tons of restaurants and a short walk across the bridge to all of the Port Wine Cellars. Great experience and an overall great place with an amazing view of the famous Porto Bridge!

As was obvious from other reviews this property scores brilliantly on its location, with a stunning view from the windows. It's great for the river and let's face it, everything in Porto means walking uphill at some point so we expected that. It's right next to the Fernicular though and for 2.50€ each you can be at Liberdade square in a few minutes of leaving the apartment! Kitchen facilities were very good although we didn't use them, the shower was excellent and we slept well in a standard double bed which may be a bit tight for those used to hotel (king size) beds. What was an issue was finding the place! The street address was not recognised by Apple/Google maps and although we were given directions over the phone (easy peasy as it's the steps to the right of the Funicular station) we weren't told how many steps to go up and in the dark and pouring rain we missed the apartment (better - lit - signage required maybe?) and deterred by the amount of steps beyond it (thinking it was at the top of them) went and got the Funicular not realising how far away that would take us! Had to quickly get it back down, spend 10€ and wasting an hour in the process. So if you're going, it's just round the corner on the right from the 'Desportivo' bar, second flight of steps! Nice enough people, stored our cases at their hotel in the centre before heading for the airport and everything went as expected. Once we'd got there! Recommended.

The issue with this property is noise, there is no sound proofing at all. The 2nd night I stayed throughout the night you could hear people walking around in the apparment above. Also there are a few bins which local bars use outside on the street, at 1:30 am each morning these bins are collected by a huge lorry and the noise will wake even the deepest sleeper. The room itself is ok, more like a large hotel room with a kitchen then an actual apparment. Wardrobe is in the kitchen?? And no towel racks in the small bathroom.

The view (see picture)from the room was amazing and the location of the property is very good, 2 mins walk to restaurants by the river and right next to the funicular to take you to the upper town.

Overall location makes this the reason to stay and if you can make sure you have the upper apparment you should be fine.

Charming sparkling clean in the heart of the city

Right in the heart of the most beautiful part of Porto, this sparkling clean apartment was a wonderful way to see the best of Porto. We walked from morning until night and this charming apartment was perfectly located so we always had a sweet place to call home. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wanted to really feel the spirit of Porto. I will be back!

Great Location - Confusing Check-In

The apartment/studio was pretty cool. However, the check-in process was a bit confusing, you had dial an intercom down the steps in an alley, follow the instructions and then wait for the staff to come and inspect the room with you... a little weird method, but not a deterrent from coming back to that place. The location was superb, literally right in front of the Duero river and just steps away from the Riberinha and all the cafes, restaurants and shops. Also, right in front of the apartment is the very impressive Bridge Don Luis I. Will definitely look into staying at Ribiera Apartments on my next visit to Porto.

Excellent wee apartment to stay in. Wonderful views. Everything you need is there. It is serviced daily which was a bonus. The steps up to it would be hard with heavy luggage.

Contact was hard as their listed phone numbers are nit working and have not been fixed. Had to use the expedia contact line to help . (The helpline was very good and thorough)

A great find in the heart of Porto.

The apartment was perfectly located on the Douro river. The views were spectacular. We were in the heart of Porto and close to transportation. Funicular to upper Porto was at the bottom of the steps. The apartment was spacious, clean and well stocked. However, the tv didn’t work. The staff that greeted us was friendly and knowledgeable. He provided great advice for exploring the area. We loved the apartment and the city. We would definitely stay here if we come back for a visit. Please note, there is no elevator.

Great place if you're flexible. Can park at public lot above for approx 20 euros per day, and walk down stairs to lower level. Room is subtly marked but has a call button which caused Raphael to arrive. Very nice apartment for little in a convenient location for walking in Porto. Funicular is just around the corner too!

Nice cozy studio right near the famous bridge with lots of restaurants, cafes and wineries. The check in was smooth and host was very welcome and advised and showed on the map all main tourist places to visit in the city. The apartment is a bit far from the centre, but the old town is small and easily walkable. The plus is the view from the window which is just astonishing.

Started poorly and never got better

We should have been met to be let in the building and were not. The room had no towels, was dirty, had lights burnt out, and instructions to operate the tv that were impossible to interrupt. (the instructions didn't match the equipment in the room). The staff did try to rectify the problems and did acknowledge and apologize for the short comings. But the worst was the loud live music from the bar next to us. After two nights of this we advised we would leave the next day and asked for our money back for the balance of the stay. The people at the reception we talked to acknowledged that the bar next door is an ongoing problem and we received our money back and left the next day.

Perfect location fab view

Right on the river next to the bridge so you can walk everywhere and enjoy Porto's lovely riverfront. Climb the stairs uptown for a vigorous workout (or cheat and use funicular next door) then cross the bridges top level for vertiginous views, especially romantic at night. Descend on the other side to begin Port tasting and you're happy to be in Porto. Apts have everything you need, highly recommend.

Google porta all'inizio della Escalade in alto,dovendo poi scendere un numero incredibile di scalini con i bagagli.

Deze accomodatie is perfect voor een aantal dagen, vanaf deze appartement hebben we best veel kunnen doen, we waren iets telaat aangekomen voor het inchecken maar dat was geen probleem, ze kunnen op afstand alles regelen plus punt.

우연히 시야에 들어온 숙소였는데 결과적으로는 정말 만족함. 위치도 시내 자주 다닐 거 아니라면 전망이 훌륭해 만족스럽다. 룸 클리닝도 매일 하는 듯 하지만 소파베드의 쿠션과 아래 카페트 등은 약간 찜찜해서 사용 안함. 여긴 진짜 전망이 다했다 싶을 정도로 뷰 좋은 식당이나 카페 찾아갈 필요가 1도 없을 정도로 훌륭하다. 메세지를 통한 요청사항은 그때그때 해결이 되었고 얼리체크인을 해주셔서 무엇보다 감사했다. 포르투와 사랑에 빠지게 된 결정적인 계기.
