Second stay for cycling, Afriadi organising the logistics along with Ade are good team and solution providers at the lobby.
The breakfast open at 4 am was appreciated and the breakfast team was very friendly.

The staff are nice and friendly… however hot water not working first night, then next consecutive 3 nights Air Conditioning stopped working.

Overcharged initially when checked in. Booked for family of 4, to be told at check in no bed for 4th person - additional charge required however they had breakfast included…..

The staff at the ferry terminal pick up and concierge are very helpful. I don’t remember all the names but Ode helped us with the bags while we cycled to the hotel.
Food wise Indonesian food is great and breakfast choices are many.
View from the pool is amazing.

Ordinary stay for a 4-star hotel

The hotel looked novice in their approach specially for booking. After booking with the credit card details, they kept on asking me for the card to charge me. This was ridiculous.
Second, wi-fi signal was pathetic and moreover they limited it to only 2 device per room. People travelling with kids need to take note of this, whether you want or sacrifice the wi-fi for the kids.
Third, breakfast buffet was very minimal and difficult to make choices out of the limited options.

The roof top restaurant was closed for event for the 2 days of my stay , rather disppointed ! The housekeeper did not sweep the floor after make up room , can see dirt all around . Never provide a connecting room for us say is fully book but during the 2 days I hardly see more than 10 paxs .

Air Con is very cold. After adjusting fan speed and increasing the temperature did not help. Stayed for a night so did not raise it to management for assistance

Prefer to have soft fabric bedroom slipper instead of hard rubber ones.

Good stay with few glutches

We booked a twin room with extra bedding. Oberall the stay was good. The room and linen were clean. Few issues we faced:
1. Not many things to do around the hotel
2. Breakfast options were not too great
3. There is a free shuttle to Nirvana resort which we took but the return shuttle the staff never came and eventually we were stranded at the resort. Thankfully Nirvana resort's staff dropped us back for free ( This was the biggest let down in the overall stay).

Booked a smoking room on hotels.com only to check in with hotel saying all rooms are non smoking. Balcony wasn't furnished and not ideal for smoking too when it is pouring. Free wifi is horrid. Best joke, bottle openers are not available and must call housekeeping whenever you needed a bottle opened. Last time here.

Nice and relatively new hotel with grand lobby, comfortable room also if you intend to just chill in room. Hotel itself did not have much facilities. It was a short walk to the beach; and not much arnd also. Plaza Lagoi beside has only a few eateries and a couple shops. We requested for massage which was a 10min drive out offsite. Not a resort feeling unlike others in Bintan. Overall the whole experience at hotel itself was great, staff were very friendly and helpful and contacted us for transport arrangement before the trip!

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at Grand Lagoi. Surrounding environment very relaxing and staff so polite. Walking to the beach was about less than 5 minutes and the sand is so fine and clean. Sea was lovely clear water and calm. .

Nothing much to do. Everything there is mostly overpriced. Breakfast buffet choices are limited and their lagoi plaza are mostly empty. Paid for the beach view I guess. Wouldn't wanna go there again.

The good thing about the hotel is the shuttle service from the ferry and being near the lake and beach. The infinity pool is nice, but is quite small, and will not be comfortable accommodating more than 15 ppl. The hotel overcharges for the mangrove tour as well. Toilet bowl was making leaking noises through the night. And one of our showerheads didnt work too. The garden view is just some brown grass.

The breakfast is crazy expensive for 1 additional person!! 300,000 rupiah thats 30sgd. It is definitely not worth it.

Lovely hotel but needs flexibility

Pickup at ferry terminal was good. Service staffs friendly, breakfast and rooms exceeded our expectations. But service staffs not flexible with the check-out time extension. We had 5 rooms and only needed one hour extension for one of the room but was denied.

Hope that the management can be more flexible on the check out time.

Great but manage expectations on facilities

The hotel was more than adequate - clean, spacious, comfortable. What are less desirable are probably resort amenities and quality of breakfast food. The area around the hotel is not as developed, but food at a nearby local eatery Warung Yeah was pretty amazing! That was all we needed.

Overall, we had a good getaway there as all we needed was a comfortable room away from the crowds to unwind!

If you are just looking for a nice place to lepak over a long weekend, this is a good place to go - clean, good service and transport arrangements, near a beach and Warung Yeah! (for cheap decent food).

Roof pool and room had a nice sunset view too!

Not much to do in Bintan other than the usual outdoor activities. I had no expectations coming here, and Grand Lagoi did well in filling those up.

Quiet resort close to beach

The Indonesian staff are very polite, friendly, genuine and welcoming. However the resort itself is very quiet and there were very few people around when we were there - it is uncomfortable sometimes when there are only a few people in a bar or restaurant and the staff outnumber the guests. The staff didn't always understand what you were communicating or asking for and more training in English language and customs would be an advantage, though we did see some evidence of this happening. The Haven is a big proposed development taking place over the next few years and maybe that will help feel less isolated, but it will then probably spoil the environment by going to the other extreme. The beach was excellent for kite surfing but if you want much more in the way of activities other than swimming or cycling, you'd be better off in the Nirwana Gardens resort or another part of the island.

50% of hotel finished, empty mall next to it

Overall I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, but it was not what I expected. Half of the hotel is only finished and the so called mall next to it is also practically empty. The surroundings are pretty much deserted and though it was communicated that we could rent paddleboards and other watersport material at the hotel, this was not the case.

Comfortable stay away from the hustle

Great location with a plaza next to the hotel. Love the peaceful and quiet environment. Went there with my other half for 2 day 1 night staycay. We went up to level 7, the roof top pool and had drinks. It was really breezy although on a hot weather. Not too packed with tourists, so its pretty pleasant. The only setback during the trip is when our room's air-con broke down when we were about to sleep. What timing right!!
We called the reception, they told us they are already looking into it and told us to give them 30 minutes.
Which they did call us back after said time, unable to resolve but they offered us a change of room and said it is ready for us. We didnt change cause we felt comfortable already so we went ahead and sleep in the same room with a faulty air-con which goes on and off every now and then. =)
All in all, the staff is friendly and smiley. We will still recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

A reasonably priced, safe, clean, and easily accessible (from Singapore) place to spend a few days doing nothing at the pool or at the local beach. Excellent breakfast and right next to Warung Yeah! restaurant. The staff is very helpful. Overall has a feel of a very well-run Courtyard Marriott.

A cosy hotel in a refreshing part of Bintan Resort

It's our third holiday in Bintan Resort, and we hope to explore other parts of the beautiful island, away from the main enclave i.e Angsana, nirwana area.

We chanced upon Grand Lagoi, a resort nestles in Lagoi Bay, a 15 minutes drive from the ferry terminal.

We booked the hotel for a 2 nights stay, and we were happy to make the decision!

The rooms are relatively new and clean, with a nice infinity pool and a small baby pool on the 7th floor. Breathtaking view of the lagoon and beach greeted us from the infinity pool.

The buffet breakfast was pretty decent, with good spread of indonesian and western food.

The staff were very professional and warm.

Grand Lagoi is in the epicentre of Lagoi Bay. There is a nice lagoon on its left - 5 mins walk. You could rent bicycles from the hotel, and ride along the lagoon. It is pretty scenic.

The beach is on its right, a 3 minutes walk away, after lagoi plaza, a small mall with few restaurants, massage spa, minimart and clothing shops.

The beach is clean and sandy, and you can do the usual beach activities there.

The icing for our trip was finding relatively inexpensive and good food near the beach. Check out Warung Yeah, a hipster restaurant beside the beach serving good indonesian cusines with a twist!

Hotel great, but it's in the middle of nothing.

Hotel and staff fab. Location - there's absolutely nothing else going on here. Food choices are very limited and at Singapore prices, when it's the middle of Indonesia. If you simply want to sit by the pool with a book and not leave the place it's fine. If you want to meet some locals and enjoy regularly priced Indonesian food, this isn't for you.

Quiet Sunday Night

We did a Sunday overnight. We heard the hotel was new and the price was right. Location is tranquil. No one on the beach or at the pool. It was like we had the resort to ourselves. Rooms are large compared to Singapore and the included shuttle and breakfast worth every dime. In 5 years, this will be a bustling area.

Some small negative feedback - the beach is long and remote, but you can't walk past the 5 star resort on one end and you can't get past the river on the other end. It looks like you could walk for a few miles on the beach but you can't.

It was my second visit to Bintan and I was looking forward to a new resort experience but was unfortunately faced with series of let downs and a trip of make-dos.

To begin with, this hotel is really just a small seven-storey hotel rather than a resort - some parts of the hotel were left incomplete at just the main structure, showing bigger plans which were not carried through.

It has nothing much to boast of except quick access to the nearby Lagoi Bay beach (which is lovely and the only highlight of our visit). Dining options are minimal, cafe/bar only opening for parts of the day.

The hotel is located very close to the ferry terminal and it was a quick journey there. But it's surrounded by a number of abandoned looking projects or ongoing construction sites. The pools, as advertised are on the top floor and overlook these sites. I guess you can still get a good view of the nearby Lake Lagoi and beach if you angle yourself/camera well enough.

The Lagoi Plaza next to the hotel is also only twenty or thirty percent filled with shops and the food options were too pricey for substandard offerings (we tried one and got served more batter than chicken). The hotel itself couldn't offer a better food experience in its bar7 serving us semi-cooked/cold food which we paid about forty sgd for two dishes (after a ten percent discount, about one sgd off on the dish we did not eat).

It was a memorable experience - for the wrong reasons sadly.

Lagoi Bay is a new resorts area, so it is very much less crowded than other beach areas. I would say it is a great place for staycation, if one wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Nothing to shop around the area, food not up to standard in their level 2 restaurant, expensive and lacking variety but the free breakfast fairly pass in term of taste... didnt manage to eat in their rooftop restaurant due to alot of booking so i think the food at their rooftop restaurant should be better... highly recommend visitor to eat at Warung yeah, the food is cheap and good, got aircon, its just beside the beach. One more advise for singaporean visitor... dun buy drinks/food from BBT ferry terminal... they charge me 35k rupiah for one bottle of pocari sweat... lol... the ayam penyet i brought from warung yeah cost only 30k rupiah...

Quiet place and rooms are large and comfortable. Staff, although not very well trained, are very friendly and attentive. The hotel building is interestingly still under renovation in many parts. The back portion of the hotel has renovation and construction materials spread all over so it may be a little hazardous. Facilities such as games room and kids club were not attended by any staff. Some games and equipment were not in good shape. Plaza Lagoi is well designed and built but lacks the crowd and atmosphere to create any wow effect. The shops are dimmed and the whole area looked a little dead throughout the day.

I have given the instructions for room service to change the bed linens but it was not done and instead room service only remake using the old linens.
Next the two restaurants foods (bar7 and cafe at 2nd floor) for dinner was limited n waiting staff are not attentive. Not many speak English but they were polite. The nearby shopping Mall is very dead.

Review of Swiss-Bellhotel, Lagoi, Bintan

The hotel is very spacious including the room. Only negative feedback on the room is that when we checked in, the bedsheet had stains on it. We immediately asked for change of bedsheet which the hotel promptly attended to.
Staffs are very friendly, cheerful and helpful.
The infinity pool was excellent. However, the other facilities of the hotel need improvement. Some of the gym equipment was not working and not properly maintained. The hotel should have a proper bar lounge with live band performing.
The Plaza next door had not much shops and food outlets apart from 2 restaurants and 3 spa outlets. Stringent health and hygiene checks should be made on the F & B outlets. Whilst dining one evening at the \"Hello Hello\" restaurant at the Plaza, I spotted a large rat running on the overhead pipes of the restaurant.
There should also be regular complimentary shuttle bus services from the hotel to the town centre.

This hotel is new, room is reasonably comfortable. However, the hot shower’s temperature is inconsistent. It gets hot and cold every alternate second, you can’t really adjust it. Infinity pool is good but a bit too small. Location wise, this hotel is not directly connected to beach. You have to walk through a public area (\"shopping mall\") for about 3 – 5 minutes before you reach the beach. Therefore, the photo of the room come with the nice sea view is a bit misleading. There is not much sea activity at this beach area as compare to Nirvana. The mall next to the hotel is not yet fully opened, however, you still can find a few restaurants and massage shop over there. Check in was a bit slow and get delayed. I was told to come back at 1.30 pm but I only got my room after 2.30 pm.
