Courteous staff, and a room with a beautiful beach view and access.
It was disappointing that some F&B options in the menu of the main restaurant (Vista) was unavailable during the expectedly high occupancy Christmas holiday period.

My wife also tried out the spa and wasn’t too impressed with the treatment and ambience.

Hope to see improvements if we do decide to come again.

The staff at the Cassia are amazing! They are so sweet, professional and helpful. Every single person there went above and beyond to ensure we had a good holiday. Everyone were smiling, engaging, helpful and amazing.
The room was fine, clean and equipped with everything we needed.
The facilities were great with good options of activities for a family.
The breakfast was amazing and again with super staff.
The location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful.

Staff were great! Exceptional service! Pool was right infront of the dining restaurant / checkin counter so a little strange placement there due to lack of privacy.

Its a secluded resort so theres no shopping options but if youre opting to come here for a getaway, its worth it! Buggy service is available to take you between Angsana & Banyan Tree as well - theyre all under the same Banyan Group umbrella so its shared facilities! Theres pingpong, board games, a whole slew of daily activities i.e zumba / pool party, etc

Managed to try breakfast @ Vista (a lot of options to choose), dinner at Treetops Restaurant (costed us about 1.1 mil rupiah for 2 pax) & Int Bbq Dinner @ Xana Beach Club (680,000/nett per pax excl. drinks)

All in all, it was pretty worth it for a quick getaway! We reached around 6pm & spent about SGD$550 for 2 pax / 2D2N (excl. ferry tickets) - not too bad i suppose.

Relaxing family holidays

Our room is on the second floor with the balcony facing the car park. There are multiple blocks with multiple stories, so do not expect ground floor balcony like those shown on photos. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is price like in Singapore with additional 21% taxes. Took grab to Lagoi Bay which cost >300K rupiah. Hotel provides shuttle to the same place but with limited timing. A good place for families to have a relaxing time by the beach nonetheless. Tips: make use of the free activities provided by the hotel such as tree trail and bird watching walk in the morning. Note: Their forest hike requires covered shoes.

Most wonderful resort experiences in Bintan!

Bintan Cassia has never failed my stays ever since from 2019 I visited the resort in total of 8 times. Their customer services are excellent, staffs are very friendly everywhere within the compound. The place is always so well upkeep, a feeling that I have visited a brand new resort always. I never grow tired of visiting Cassia Bintan and will always be my prior choice!

Very family friendly, although rhe facilities themselves are basic. iIt was nice to be able to share facilities with the neighboring resorts. In particular I took advantage of the spa at Angsana and Treetops restaurant at Banyan Tree which was excellent.
Staff English level at Cassia was not the best, a few times we had trouble communicating.

Pro's: (1) Secluded and clean beach, (2) updated interior, (3) excellent staff who were always friendly and helpful

Cons: (1) Advised by hotel not to swim in the sea because of jellyfish (year-round) (2) Small swimming pool for hotel size (3) far away from shops and local restaurants

I recommend that the hotel install a jellyfish net across the bay. Guests wouldn't travel all that way to use a pool.

Cassia is a nice and value for money resort if you plan it right.
It provides everything you need, but for a price. Luckily, the rooms come with kitchenettes. Thus, if you come from Singapore, you can bring food with you to cook basic meals - particularly helpful with children. The hotel has a \"minimart\" as well. There are no shops around the resort.

The beach is excellent and the pool is nice, albeit small. You can use the facilities of Angsana and Banyan Tree as well. But there is no need as they are older.

Food quality is OK but the prices are above Singapore chain restaurant prices (around 20 SGD per meal). Suggest to only consider during 50% off happy hour). Breakfast is nice and - surprisingly - better quality food than a la carte orders.

Although they say that breakfast in Cassia and Angsana is the same - Angsana had more variety and was better prepared when we were there. As a guest, you can choose to have breakfast in either of them.

The Kids Club is excellent. The kindergarten teachers actively engage with the kids and do handcrafting with them. Our kids loved it. It's probably the biggest reason for us to come back.

The property had a lively feel, yet I also felt like I could find a quiet spot to relax whenever I wanted one, whether on the beach, near the pool, or in the other public areas.

Beriana at the front desk was amazing! She helped me arrange a car service to the boat terminal for a speedboat to Batam Island for the following day. She recognized and greeted me warmly when I went to check out and meet the driver, and that meant a lot to me. The external car service (driver Khalid) was wonderful.

Special thanks to Benny at the pool as well! I live thousands of miles away but really hope to return to Bintan someday. The staff and others I met were a huge part of that!

We like the private beach , badminton and fine sand ( except got to watch out for small rocks in the sand).Swimming pool and Banyan massage facilities were great ! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Recommendation to “ local” kelong mangrove was poor . We initially planned to go to Nirwana Kelong but the taxi counter lady staff redirected us. Given the poor recommendation for food, we did not have confidence in the hotel’s snorkeling tour and engaged a private snorkeling tour instead . Food at the treetops was good

The only problem that I had with this hotel is their housekeeping side. They only carried out the entire room makeup on every second day of week. I found it weird. Most of the hotel carried out make up of the room daily.

The apartment was great! Cute, clean (although we did have an ant issue, but they came to clean and spray right away). Has a kitchenette with utensils, plates, pots, etc. My tv stopped working (just stayed on loading) but I watched my own shows from my phone so no biggie. The beach is great! Clean, beautiful, water’s warm and not many people. For dining options, prices are not local price. Tourist price. It’s what you would pay in US or Singapore. If you have that expectation, then it’s fine. Transportation is very limited. Everything by taxi, nothing within walkable distance from the hotel. No shuttle except to and from the ferry terminal (free). If you do massages outside, they usually provide free transport to and from the massage place back to the hotel. Bring your own food or snacks then you can enjoy the hotel and the beach much more comfortably. Breakfast buffet was great! Tasty with a good variety of choices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beautiful property.

We got a suprise and free upgrade for our accommodation. The room was fantastic. Fully equipped and the house set up was nice. The only set back is that the toilet has no air ventilation but it's a small issue to me. Bed was clean and tidy. I would return again in my next retreat.

Everything is good except an advise for management to do something about flies and sparrows trying to eat the breakfast spread. You have gotta cover the fruits and breads which are exposed and they always succeed in landing on them. No staff is able to be stationed constantly on the lookout.

Room was clean and the furniture looked pretty new. Some issues with the toilet locks but was resolved within 30 mins.
They do not provide daily cleaning services but will provide change of towels if you request for it.

The apartment facing the sea was amazing! Can hear the waves at night and embrace the sun rise at dawn.

The beach was beautiful and had an amazing flight with my drone to view the scenery on the island.

The breakfast options can be better. We had the same food items for 3 morning other than a change of mee goreng with fried beehoon.

My 4 days stay was most enjoyable and wanted to extend further but perhaps another time.

Resort need to work on their maintenance

Cassia needs to work on their maintenance schedule. Aircon was not cold, it was on at 19 degree for 2 hours but still not cooling. They have to send someone to come and clean the aircon filter. The water from all taps and shower heads are yellowish. We have to change to the 3 room before the water is clear.

Pro: Beach is nice. We went during low peak period so not much guests.

Food tasted awful and expensive. We spent about $98 for 4 meals with drinks. Not worth the prices. Long waiting time for the food to arrive. There seems to be a shortage of staff or the staff are too engrossed with their tasks. It’s hard to get their attention when we need something. Check-in took awhile as only one staff was handling it. Other than that, the stay is quite good, within walking distance to the beach More welcoming could be done like refreshment drinks for the arrival guests while waiting to check-in.

I loved the beach and pools. Breakfast was included buffet and was exceptional! Many of the lobby spaces were open air and not air conditioned, but ample fans were running. I was only disappointed that I could not find a nice interior bar to have a drink in the evenings. The apartment style room was lovely and bed was comfortable! Best of all was the friendly staff, especially Andrie who greeted me by name escorting me to and from the Bintan Resorts Ferry terminal with a smile.

Hotel is new and relatively clean. Beach is awesome and sand is fine.
However communication of Hotel staffs should be improved.
For eg we made enquiry on shuttle bus to lagoi bay and one of the staff mentioned the timing to us and that we should gather at Angsana lobby without advising that reservation was required. When we reached Angsana lobby, the hotel staff seemed frustrated with this miscommunication and we had to pay for our own transport out.
On another occasion during prior to checkout, we wanted to ask for late checkout for two out of six rooms booked because our ferry timing was actually 530pm. However the staff only allowed for one late checkout after our persistent request, stating that there were prebookings which I could totally understand. But the feeling was that the staff did not go the extra mile to make us feel valued.
Overall I felt that service standard should be further improved even though staffs are generally friendly.

Everything was too good i.e transport, amenities, people, location.

Just one concern, the drinking water provided was very less and should be provided on per day basis i.e. if I stay 1 day i.e. from 12th to 13th so it should be counted as 2 days and not as per check-in dates or else provide 1-liter water per person not small bottles.

Anyways that's a suggestion and we can buy, its not big amount but just raised the concern.

The property is newly renovated, the area is clean. The rooms have very nice design and have everything you need in them - even cooking supplies such as ladles. The stuff is super friendly but not pushy

Recommended for a 2 night escape!

Second time back here after 10 months. One of the best places to just chill & stare at the sea all day long!!! Cozy room, good bed, & the best dinner at the Treetop restaurant! Sunday's buffet breakfast spread could have been better (it's common that we compare with the Saturday's spread). It was pretty new when we stayed the first time, and probably a little bit of maintenance and housekeeping might help a bit. The sofa, cushions and the carpet in the living room were not as clean / new-looking anymore. Same complain as the previous trip would be to look into the consistency of the temperature of the water heater. Nevertheless, it was an amazing break! & I have verbally recommended this place to many of my family and friends :)
