Amazing stay at Pantai Indah Lagoi

We had a lovely family holiday staying at Pantai Indah Lagoi Bintan. All staff were very nice and accommodating. A welcome fruit platter and cake were a very nice touch from the resort. We will be back to stay here again in the near future. Ferry transfer was excellent

Nice relaxing holiday !

Excellent place. The best part of the resort is the service and the staff. All the staff are welcoming, very friendly, polite, respectful, and eager to serve you. Mentioning some of the names I remember: Anisa, Frida, Firdaus - but regardless, they were all excellent. Ms. Nereng at the restaurant was exceptional. She arranged a dinner table for us right on the beach that made for a very memorable family dinner. The ATV riding and archery with our guide Dandy were really fun.

The restaurant has vegetarian options and the staff is friendly enough to cater to special requests as well.

This is a great place to chill and relax far from the madding crowd because the property is located far from the main city and is so spacious that you’re never on the midst of a crowd.

There is a very small mall (Lagoi Bay Plaza) nearby, where there is a supermarket and some shopping (the HeloHelo cafe there is very nice). The resort offers a shuttle there and back.

The villas themselves were also very comfortable and beautiful. The layout with a pool and a dining area beside is well-designed. The bathroom is large and has a nicely-designed bathtub.
The private beach of the resort is clean and beautiful. There are bean bags placed on huge rocks for you to sit and enjoy the views. That is very thoughtful . There is a small bar area on the beach . The restaurant also faces the beach. Sunset is beautiful here !

Great for privacy, but no atmosphere

This hotel is actually a collection of walled villas, several having their private pool. Most visitors during our stay remained inside those villas, barely coming out. It's great if you look for private time with your loved ones. The villas are great, the private pool is big enough to swim and the food is vary tasty (bring your drinks to save money, villas have a fridge). The compound is clean with nice gardening.

The downside is that the whole place feels like a clinic, with barely anyone in sight - for instance, the beach was empty, as was the restaurant (most residents have their meal delivered to their villa). So if you look for a fun place, that's not where to go. Same for the nearby village that felt like a ghost town.

I strongly recommend a day trip to the south of Bintan, outside of the secluded resort zone. It will give you a feel for the real Indonesian

The hotel is very intrusive, calling us multiple times late at night at 11+pm to check on the guest. When questioned, we were told that visitors ought to exit the villa by 6pm. Is this an hotel or hospital?! Even hospital have visiting to 8pm! And this visiting hours wasn’t even made known to us. The villa is filled with Ironman athletes, calling at 11+ disrupted their rest greatly! The hotel wasn’t clean up at all in the 4 days I stayed. There were many mosquitos, amongst many ants and other insects and bitten us badly. Deposit is held for 2-3mths without notifying us. When ask, they said it’s the policy but wasn’t written anywhere! I m terribly upset and disappointed given the price tag of the stay. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Everyone was so friendly and accommodating! All ferries to the nearest terminal were fully booked but staff helped us book our transport to and from an alternative terminal. They also helped book transport to the nearby mall, and seafood restaurant. We wanted to extend our stay but all villas were booked since it's a long weekend holiday.

Hotel provided complimentary pickup from and to ferry terminal and daily breakfast. Checkin and checkout process was fast and efficient. The staff at the reception, restaurant and grounds were all very friendly and helpful. The 2 bedroom villa we stayed at was clean and very spacious. We had a great time swimming in the villa’s private pool. The restaurant has a varied menu so everyone could order what they would like from western to Asian to local Indonesian cuisine. For water activities, we had to go to a nearby lagoon for them. We did hire an ATV guide from the hotel. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us have a really good time on the ATV tracks. We checked out the hotel spa but did not book any sessions there. Prices were higher than the spa in the local mall which provided complimentary transportation. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we will definitely return in the future.

We love this villa it's beautifully decorated and stylish. We are very happy.
However there are lots of mosquitoes from the evening until the morning. The bedroom doors may need to repair so that there's no gap for the mozzie to get in.
The staff are very well mannered and helpful. Their service is excellent !

We arrived and were met at the ferry port by the hotel transport which was complimentary. Although we were earlier than check in time this was not an issue, and we were able to access our lovely villa immediately. We were also given detail of things like the barbecue in our villa, several afternoon teas and buggy hire, all complimentary and a very nice surprise. Wonderful staff, immediate help if we needed it, excellent accommodation, fabulous location - our party of 4 all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Love the staff, everyone, EVERYONE, has a nice smile and time for you, they were very accommodating to my kids’ endless chatter and calls them by name the next day! Very attentive staff, the server who delivered our room service was more disturbed by the creaking of the fan than us, got his colleague to fix it pronto. This is class! Breakfast was ok, a little uncomfortable with quite many flies around. The giant floats for rent and usage in our villa was a big hit! We didn’t realise until the day we left that we could take it to the villa 😅 would have rented it everyday of our stay! Thank you and we hope to be back.

The private pool was very very nice.
All the staff on the property were very kind.
However, as some reviewers pointed out, the food there was somewhat disappointing. It was not terrible, but was mediocre.

Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We would like to come back again.

However some aspects where they could improve given that we expect premium service: 1> There was no equipment like a mop/roller in the room to throw away the water from rains that comes in (dinning area). 2> Experience at checkout was not too great. We requested for 12:30 checkout given that we were traveling with an infant and a 5 yrs old but got 2 repeat calls between 12 and 12:15 asking to move out.

Great place for family!

Booked a two bedroom villa for a 3D2N stay with my family (6 adults). Staff were knowledgeable, the transfer from the ferry terminal to the resort and the check-in process were smooth and quick. The room was huge and clean, comes with 4 toilets and 3 TVs! The aircon were already on when we first stepped into the villa (plus point since it was a hot day!). Only one key was given to us, better if there were 2. Two additional single beds were set-up in the master room, so each of us had a bed to sleep in.
We spent most of our time in the villa watching TV (great channels!), soaking in the pool/bathtub. We rented a buggy for 2 hours at a reasonable rate and drove to Plaza Lagoi (speed of buggy has been tampered, max speed about 12km/h).
Tried the BBQ on Saturday dinner and it was disappointing. Having read the poor reviews on their food, we brought cup noodles and ready meals over (best decision!). The boiler and full-sized fridge were super useful for this purpose.
In-room wifi was good too, at least 4 devices were connected throughout our stay.
All in all, everything was great except for the food options.

We spent 3 pleasant and relaxing days in a beautiful villa with our children. Warm welcome and kindness from the hotel staff, people are very service oriented, smiling and always ready to assist you whatever the time slot. The location on Bintan offers a great view on the Lagoi bay from the restaurant. Every villa is a quiet unique place well maintained, modern and comfortable including small kitchen, amazing and large bathrooms, private swimming pool. Breakfast is not outstanding but nice. Don't miss the Indonesian tasty and delicious satay from the restaurant! The beach is small, quiet but probably better maintained during the high season - December is a low season. It deserves deck chairs and sun umbrellas. Overall amazing experience. We will come back certainly.

The first night we were there, there was a BBQ dinner set up by the beach, at an extra cost. The villa was great, with a private pool, sunbeds, as well as other basic necessities, including lots of towels. The breakfast included was buffet style, with a wide variety of selection.
