I had a lovely mother-daughter weekend. At first, the hotel was so quiet we thought it was nearly empty until we went to breakfast. The spa was great, the beachfront was very clean, and most of all the staff were so hospitable. They were so caring and made you feel very welcome. They helped with ferry transport, booking dinner reservations, buggy rides to dinner. Thank you so much for a memorable weekend with my mom!

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms are a little dated but clean and serviceable. Shower over bath is ok if you are not too tall!
Food was good but difficult to navigate as a vegan, labelling could definitely have been better. Great hotel for a few days of total relaxation and rest.

Excellent stay with Angsana Bintan, they are polite, professional and warm. All the dept have the synergy to updates guest what happening at the hotel.Thanks millions to all the team to made my husband birthday memorable ones. From hotel Manager, Mr Omas and his Team at Front office who helped us with a few arrangement for our needs in hotel and the Bintan day Tour. Mr. Gin from Angsana Spa with his warm and friendly personality assist us with spa booking. Restaurant asst. Manager( sorry i forgot the name) who always have smile and shared passionately about Banyan CSR with the nature and Nadyn the friendly and cheerful service crew. Mr. Edy from Housekeeping with his polite and always make sure the rooms are clean . Lastly Banyantree spa receptionist, May and our therapist Rose, Thalia and Rina thank you for wonderful treatment with your excellent skills.

Excellent stay overall, gorgeous beach. very kind staff, very good service. Good food but priced for Singaporeans, much more expensive than 5 star resorts in Lombok. Activities on the beach could be better organized, as the jet skis broke down 2 days in a row. Very interesting lecture on turtles with the release of the hatchlings into the ocean waters. Overall great.

Perfect Getaway for Family

Truth be told, the property is quite dated. However, they make up with excellent, friendly and authentic service. Staffs (Hotna, Wiwik, Gin etc) are very warm and welcoming and you could tell that they are very genuine.

My family was initially not quite happy with the condition of the rooms but the Management was quick to change for us on the next day. Very proactive and attentive. Otherwise, do not expect too much as this is a very resort style decoration. Cassia, which is next door and was opened in 2017, seems more trendy.

In terms of dining options, this is quite okay as visitors can always go the neighbouring Banyan Tree Resort or Cassia in addition to the two restaurants/cafe located within the property. The private beach is very well maintained. Scenery is superb, so this is a perfect venue for a short getaway with laid back atmosphere.

We tried the Angsana Spa and were very happy and impressed. Everything was so on point and the skills of the spa therapists (Tati and Rose) are one of the best I have come across.

Overall, it was a very satisfying stay for my family. Hope to visit this resort again soon.

Great property. We were upgraded to a suite with ocean views. Very spacious room. Comfortable bed. Good size bathroom with all amenities. Welcome gift. Plenty of bottles of water. Good size pool, very refreshing. Excellent service by staff. Excellent food in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice beach to walk on but water was dirty as Monsoon season. Spa services fantastic. Wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

気になった点は不明朗会計で全てがクオリティに対し高額に感じました。
例えばビールは高額なのですが缶ビールだったりするにで、ドラフトビールを用意するとかのホスピタリティがあってもいいかと思いました。
食事も60シンガポールドルのビュッフェなのに味は普通だったり、タクシー代もラゴイ往復50ドルなのに普通の車だったりといった感じでした。

ビンタンは全て高いと聞いていましたがその割にクオリティが伴っていないのが残念です。

Breakfast is in the main restaurant which has all the doors open and no AC, on the warmer days this meant breakfast after 9am was not pleasant as very hot and bugs around.

A very enjoyable stay n experience. The hotel is located about 10 mins from the Ferry Terminal, the complimentary shuttle makes the transfer painless. Check-in was quick n smooth. We arrived too early to check-in so we lunched at the Lotus Cafe. Food was delicious n predictably expensive. The room was not large, but adequate. Clean n comfy. Our room was on ground level and faced the pool - beautiful view and great location. The bathroom was smallish; I would have preferred a shower rather than the bathtub. Bed and linen very good, no complaints. The usual toiletries and amenities were provided. The highlight is undoubtedly the beach and unobstructed views. Fine sand, clean private beach, adequate lounge chairs. Fantastic. Dined at Xana Beach Club at the beach - good food and lovely ambience (but again, quite pricey). Buffet breakfast had limited options but adequate for 2-3 days' stay. Service throughout the hotel was good. No dining or shopping options outside the hotel that you could walk to.

The hotel is beautifully located next to a serene beach with very clean water. The staff is very good. The rooms are fine as well. We had Sea Breeze Room - Twin, it had a beautiful sea view.
The choice of meals are constrained, if you do not fancy local Indonesian food. We tried to get a table at the nearby restaurant in adjoining Banyan Tree hotel, but we were told there was no place. Finally we took a cab to a restaurant in another hotel. If you are a vegetarian like me, you will struggle.
In the activity center, the table tennis bats very in bad shape (almost unplayable), which is not expected when they charge such a high price.
The boat was broken down and hence lot of water activities were not available. We had to settle for Jet Ski only.
The pool side was good. On our final day of departure, the hotel rooms were without electricity for over 2 hours. When asked, we were told the electricity was not hampered by the provider and there was nothing the hotel could do.

I would say the hotel is very nicely located on a clean, private beach and the staff is extremely nice. However, the experience fell short of my expectations for the price we paid due to some of the above reasons.

Reliable go-to Resort

We first stayed at the Angsana some 9/10 years ago when the children were toddlers coz it was quick getaway and it has since become a reliable go-to quick getaway resort for us. We always go with the junior suite which is comfy (get the ground floor ones which open up to the pool). We are familair with the restaurants - we like the spot by the beach which has movie screenings these days. The staff are attentive. There's enough to distract you in and around the resort (massage, kid's room, gym etc). But since the children now golf, the bigger draw for us is that we can play the Laguna course which is a stone's throw away (sister property too so just sign everything to the room and settle up one shot). Even if you want to squeeze in a quick 9 holes. The only grouse is that there is really nothing much to do in Bintan. The Plaza Lagoi is a waste of time and I'm still not convinced by the private dinner at the beach, golf course, kelong etc. Something missing. And I don't just mean the air-conditioning. Bintan is still an awesome place to golf with Ria Bintan being an awesome course you have to play in this region so we will be back for golf for sure BUT as much as we like Angsana and will recommend it whole-heartedly to families with young children, we may be weaning ourselves off this place slowly but surely as the children are more grown up now and need more engaging distractions.

Amazing place to kick back and relax.

The Good.
The check in service provided was the best one ever experienced at any hotel. We were given a cold towel to wipe our faces and feel refreshed. We were also asked to take a seat while the hotel staff guided us on the check in process. Really thankful that I was given a free upgrade to the Island Room.
Unlike many hotels out there, this one had a wide range of activities for the guests. The best part, many of them were FOC! Just a note to check with the counter first on which activities need booking and the details of where to meet up. Amazing vantage point when you go for a massage. Everyone must try it!

Improvement.
I know this is kind of weird but I find that the room's water closet to be incredibly inconvenient. Why? As a man, I stand up and pee only after lifting the toilet seat. The toilet seat of this hotel can be lifted up but the design of the toilet is such that it cannot stay up. Which means that it has to be held up while I relieve myself. Room WIFI was also very weak.

We much enjoyed the eco workshops, walks and baby turtle releases.

Staff were always friendly and mostly very helpful.

We are not keen on 'tick box' excursions, and with persistence we managed a private excursion to 'real' parts of the island and talking to the local population when visiting a school, Temple, Hospital and a local wedding etc. This was a real highlight of our visit to the wonderfully friendly Indonesians. Thank you.

We were greeted at ferry terminal by Yogi and the team .Very friendly.Short bus ride to hotel.Staff greeted with great big smiles .Our room was not ready ,so we explored beach side cafe.We now know why it wasnt ready as they had gone to so much trouble.Our bed had flowers in the shape of a heart and message \"Happy Anniversay\"and a cake. To this we would like to thank all the staff. It was a fantastic touch. We loved the resort even though it was a bit dated and expensive. We certainly recommend to all friends & family. Food, drinks ,service & activities all good.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Angsana resort. It’s location was great - so close to the ferry terminal, custom and immigration was fast and the hotel has organized the transfers to and from the ferry terminal. It’s located next to Banyan tree resort means the sandy beach was always kept cleaned. The water was beautiful and clean right throughout our stay. Some areas has a lot of seaweed in the water but there’s plenty of areas to swim free of seaweed and safely- even for young children since the water is so shallow.
The rooms are abit dated but Service is very good.

On the beach

The hotel was a bit dated but the fact it was on the beach made up for it. The balcony had a fabulous view of the pool and beach which was rather special. The staff were helpful and friendly- although a bit slow. Nothing was done in a hurry.

The food was very disappointing as it was quite limited and extremely expensive. It was more costly than eating out in Singapore and it was a much poorer quality.

Drinks were extortionate too, again, cheaper to have a few drinks in singapore than in Bintan, Indonesia.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Food in Angsana is average. If you want better food, hop over to the Banyan Tree restaurants... but be prepared to pay higher prices.

Room and facilities were ok given the age. I liked the addition of the new Xana Beach Club.

Check out was the most unpleasant part of the stay when I was informed that the hotel charges $20 for a laundry bag! I almost had to empty all my dirty clothes into the luggage. What a spoiler to the end of the trip! The Hotel Mgt finally waived the charge after I complained.

In addition, the Hotel also made a billing error which caused some inconvenience after I returned to Singapore.

We had rooms with beautiful sea and pool view. The rooms were comfortable and clean, a bit on the smaller side. Good selection of restaurant options between Angsana and Banyan Tree (on the same property). Breakfast options were a bit limited but good enough for a short break. Staff were efficient and polite. Bus and taxi transfers are convenient. Trip to Plaza Lagoi was a total waste of time! Best to stick to pool and beach! Indoor recreation room needs to be cleaned up and made more interesting - we were stuck indoors due to rain one day.

Had very relaxing few days here - all staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast very varied and food good if pricey. You can eat at the Banyan Tree restaurants in the evening too which we did one night - delicious. Hotel a bit tired and all sea activities were cancelled due to tar balls on beach. This was not the fault of the hotel at all but it can happen. Overall we had a lovely time.

Was given a free upgrade to a room with beautiful sea view. Enjoyed the view very much😀 Breakfast was good, with many choices. Staff were very courteous, always greeting me and smiling. The Spa massage was great, loved it! The Xana beach restaurant serves delicious food and drinks, and is right on the beachfront. Must try! There are a lot of activities for guests to participate for free. The activity coordinator Benny is worth commending for making guests feel happy. Hope to return to this hotel again soon.

Love Angsana Bintan!

Wonderful place with many activities. Love the private beach and the friendly staff. Our second time here and we were not bored. Probably not the last time we’ll come here too.

We had requested for high floor. They gave us low floor though there were rooms available .
There was hardly any view from the room. The staff at reception were not polite.

Improvement needed for breakfast service

I had freshly juiced watermelon juice with tons of leftovers pineapple fibres from the previous guest who ordered pineapple juice. It was horrible and the management should invest in a better juicer since freshly fruit juice is offered during breakfast

Hotel location nice rooms outdated

the location of the hotel is nice close to the beach. Meanwhile the rooms are a bit outdated especially the bathroom (old bath tube). the beach is nice but during our stay a lot of oil bullets on the ground and jellyfishes.
the pool facilities are pleasant and the staff very welcoming and nice with guests.

The staff always make the difference

Impeccable service, guinely friendly, relaxing atmosphere, good restaurants variety, fantastic breakfast, great spa, Wiwik was one of many examples of genuinly kind and caring staff that made several days we stayed positively memorable. If we had known we would have booked a minimum of 4 days! Thank you Angsana!

Very relaxing and peacefully quiet.

We spent 4 nights an the hotel last week and were quite surprised with the quality of the property. The staff were so friendly and helpful at all times.

Shamelessly Expensive

The food at the hotel is shamelessly expensive. Angsana is miles from the nearest village so the options for dining out are slim and they control the taxi service to and from the village and over charge for that too. So they get you either way.
Pity, 7 years ago it was pretty good.

Nice private beach with clean swimming pool

Great place to chill for the weekend
Clean beaches which is only accessible by patrons of the hotel
Food is on the pricey side (S$25 for nasi goreng but the quality is top notch)
Staffs were friendly and able to converse in english with ease

I wasn’t inform that the check in time was 3pm thus I arrive at 11.30am and waited a full 3.5 hr. I kept pleading to the counter staff, but it was like they can’t do anything. Which kinda of spoilt mood to my trip.

Nice hotel, excellent staff, private beach was fun

Nice hotel, close to the ferry terminal so you dont have to waste precious time traveling to the hotel. Nice private beach, so that was a lot of fun without the usual crowd.

Expensive though, F&B was more expensive than Singapore! and that is saying something.

Comparing to the visit 1o years ago...

The hotel was the same as 10 years ago when I last visited - generally well mantainded but showing signs of age. I almost missed the information that only rupiah is used now as I used to pay using SGD (which is more convenient).

Main attraction for us is still the beach and the spa. It was a pity that they did not upload the activities they have online so I missed the chance of seeing the newly release turtles on Sat 5.30pm as I have already booked the ferry back at 2.30pm. I would have planned the trip differently if I had known about the turtle release.

The old shopping at Pasar Oleh Oleh was also closed and replaced by the Lagoi Plaza. But the place is almost deserted - only a few shops are opened and most units are vacant. Luckily we found a nice restaurant nearer the Lagoi beach and had a sumptuous dinner. There are also street food if you like some snacks. If not the place is not worth the visit since most resorts have their own beaches.

Top Class!

Everything about the resort is first rate. The staff are very courteous and friendly, the location is fantastic, the rooms are very clean and spacious and the amenities are extensive and worthwhile.
Highly recommend the resort for anyone wanting to escape and relax for a few days.
