Great place to stay

The place and the surroundings are very good. The pool set up with the DJ is a big plus for this place. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The only thing I would say is the breakfast in the morning was very basic and we would eat in other places that was way cheaper in cost which I recommend then eating there. Parking can be an issue as well so you may have to park elsewhere then on the street in front of hotel.

The hotel is really nice and in a convenient location, 10 min drive from the most beautiful beaches of the island. The hotel staff was friendly and polite, the pool area is nice and features a bar and restaurant, DJ playing daily too. The room was clean and simply decorated, the kitchen had all basics (pans, pots, plates, cutlery, microwave...). Overall was definitely great value for money!

Excellent experience!
Wonderful customer service morning and night staff.
Loved the room. Very comfy bed and extra bed/couch as well. Little kitchenette included a stove top, fridge, pots pans,dishes.
Great view from room.
Very quiet at night.
Amazing pool and breakfast buffet was delicious.
We booked a day trip and were going to miss bfast ao they gave us a bag of delicious plastries and coffee to go.
Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.
Highly recommended!

The sound proofing is terrible - so if people are coming in at 6am you can literally hear every single word!

They have had no towels by the pool twice which was pretty draining!
The food here is terrible - eat anywhere else (as so many nice places near by)

Let me start with this review with the director/Manager of the Hotel ANDREA, she was always in communication with the guests, especially when there was an issue or problem. In my point of view, she has handled and directed the hotel with professionalism and integrity to the point that I will definitely come back next year. Regarding, the hotel staff, they were the best, they treated me with respect and made me feel like I was at home.

Location was in good walking distance to the town but not too close that you get the late night life noise. The hotel rooms are very noisy. I was woken up every night to the sound of people “doing it”. Also people drinking very loudly through the night out on their balconies until 6-7 am. The beds are extremely loud, even only if turning over in the night. The beds weren’t changed the entire time we were there which I was disappointed in. Also the shower and toilet etc were only cleaned on our last day. I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately.

I can’t but leave 1 star for this property. The beds were unbearably hard. We originally booked for 14 day stay but had to leave after 3 days as we were not willing to have poor sleep ruin our holiday.
The staff advised to ask Expedia to refund. Several weeks later, the property still refuses to answer any refund request from Expedia.

My cousin ended up with insects bites when she woke up. We were there three days. We emailed the manager and she stated that they will investigate. Nothing was done about the situation. We emailed pictures of her bites on the day we vacated the unit. Please inspect your room for insects prior to sleeping there. I will put pictures of the bites.

Great place with great facilities lots of shops bars and restaurants within metres of the hotel. Direct opposite a small beach including easy access to the water taxi to get you to the strip usually quicker when road traffic is busy. Walk around the corner to get fabulous views of the sunsets a lot quieter than the opposite side (mambos and cafe del mar)

Beach Star for 5 Days

Arrived at the hotel late due to flight cancellations and delays, after communicating with hotel staff we were reassured the room would be held for us which was a great comfort
On arriving at the hotel at 4am we had booked a room for three people however were checked in to a room for 2 people, reception quickly changed our room however we then found that the third bed was literally a sofa (not really a room for three people) and had not been made up which resulted in a second trip to reception to request bedding

After this all was ok, service of all hotel staff was great and drinks around the pool were delicious!
Hotel pool area was lovely although felt the pool could be a little cleaner and in general hotel could do with a lick of paint and sprucing up

Will Never Stay Here Again

There is NO WAY this is a 4 star hotel. Not even a 3 star hotel. This is a 2 star hotel, nothing more.

The primary issue with this property was the noise. We stayed in a studio apartment on the top floor. There was no sound proofing whatsoever between rooms. All hours of the day and night, we heard neighbors to our left, right, and below. We heard talking, laughing, sneezing, coughing, closing doors, moving furniture, music, etc. We heard people in the hallways and on the balconies. Every time somebody closed the front door in an adjacent room, it felt like our whole room shook. I was woken up at least 5-10 times each night by noise from adjacent rooms.

75% of the hotel’s rooms were facing the pool. They had a DJ playing music until 7 pm everyday. The music was fine, but it was loud. If you wanted to take a nap during the day, forget about it. We requested a sea view room. We got the sea view, but the front door to the room was facing the pool. In fact, all the studio apartments had front doors facing the pool. The door did little to block out the noise. We heard the music, plus all the people at the pool who were talking, laughing, or shouting above the music.

The room itself was spartan. No decorations at all…just white walls and white ceilings with cheap lighting. Small. Basically felt like a college dorm room.

I have no idea why this hotel has so many positive reviews. We made our decision to stay here based on the reviews. But, wow! This was a major disappointment.

I would stay back at the Beach Star in a heartbeat. Its clean. The staff is incredible. Its definitely in a more quiet area of IBIZA, but the hotel is by far the most happening thing in San Josep. Pool days, good drinks, and Vicky alone makes this place as welcoming as it gets. Well done!

Brilliant hotel. Rooms were in 3 parts... bathroom which had a shower and toliet. Also had a hair dryer in there. Bedrooms were okay, pillows werent great so i used a blanket out of the cuboard instead. Lounge and kitchen was handy for the fridge mainly.

On two of our 4 nights, the cleaners in the morning were moving furiture around by dragging it, the noise was very loud and woke us up around 9am which was very annoying. I think if you need to be moving furniture around then there should be two cleaners lifting it together to respect that guest will still be sleeping and relaxing on there holiday.

Overall the noise does travel in this hotel, and i wouldnt recommended it to people who arent instrested in the ibiza night life.

The hotel in general is really lovely, the pool, bar, food and DJ was all superb.

Receptionist were okay but the best out of the staff was the waiters and waitress's.

From the moment we arrived the hotel was perfect. Lovely welcoming staff, the reception area was clean, bright and modern. Our room was just what we needed. View of the pool area as requested. Cleaning staff changed towels and cleaned daily.
Bar staff were very friendly and the food was brilliant.

The hotel is clean and worth the money, staff are generally quite helpful especially the guy who is in charge of the kitchen and some of the staff at the reception.
It would be good if the staff informed that you can buy entry tickets at the reception as they do sell tickets and also if they could provide more details about public transport.
But otherwise they were very helpful and it was a pleasant stay for sure! Thanks Beach Star staff! Bunch of girls who stayed at we found it a clean hotel!

Hotel was comfortable though I wouldn’t stay again due to location. Instead I’d recommend paying extra to stay either in Ibiza town or Playa d’en Bossa as there is more happening over that side of the island and taxis aren’t cheap (if you have a car then maybe it isn’t so bad, but check what the parking situation is like around the hotel before booking. On the plus side, there is a ferry to San Antonio nearby that leaves every 30mins and costs €6 return, so you can get over to that part easily if you want to explore that town or get a boat to visit the beaches along the west coast (Cala Salada, Cala Talida etc). There is also a boat for Formentera that leaves San Antonio at 9:30am or 10am and returns around 7pm (I think). If you miss that then you’d have to go to Ibiza town to get one of those ferries - there are more operators in Ibiza Town so ticket prices and schedules are more flexible. There were 3 of us and we managed to negotiate a better return ticket price for the fast ferry (30min) - saved ourselves €30 all up.

Room itself was meant to be ocean view but really we had glimpses of the Harbour/Bay from our verandah. The beach is a few minutes walk away but I wouldn’t recommend swimming there - stick to the pool. The walls are thin and any furniture movement either side or from above can be loud so I recommend taking ear plugs if you don’t want to be disturbed by other rooms partying. We also fou hair in the room, particularly on the extra blankets in the wardrobe.

On this stay, much more than usual there was lots of noise from other rooms late into the night and very early in the morning, lots of stomping and shouting. But I imagine this is the same across the whole of this area of Ibiza

Me and my friend have just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel. Emailed the hotel before we arrived to let them know our arrival time was early so could they store our luggage to which they replied straight away saying no problem. Unfortunately our room was not ready when we arrived but they locked our luggage away and gave us towels to stay around the pool. Once we checked in the room was lovely and big, huge balcony and nice sized rooms and bathroom. Beds comfortable, cleaners come in once a day to make beds and give clean towels. The pool is lovely, clean and cool! Food is beautiful, tried breakfast and lunch and everything was quick and really delicious. Location is good, could always get a taxi to anywhere and walk-able from Ocean Beach, San Antonio ect. Would 100% recommend and stay again!!

My fiance and I loved our stay at the Beach Star Hotel. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool area, it had a cool vibe, dj during the day, great cocktails and food. We had a pool view apartment which was clean, new, spacious and was perfect for the 5 days we were there.

The only fault for us was the location, we felt a little away from most of the places we wanted to eat and drink. The hotel is about an hours walk or about 15 euros each way from cafe Mambo and the other sunset bars on that side of the bay.

Lovely staff, lovely environment

We wanted a crash pad close to the action but we got much more- the pool area is beautiful, the food was really incredibly good for the value and the sea view room had a great balcony. The absolute stars of the show were the staff who were all so friendly, helpful and never without a smile (even when telling us to keep it down when it was a bit later than we'd realised!). I think we'll be coming back next year.

The common area was excellent. We really enjoyed the swimming pool with the bar as there was a dj playing music most of the day. We had lunch twice there and it was delicious. The staff were very nice and always trying to accomodate you.even though we thought it was a bit expensive for a 3 star hotel, we know it was high season and just for the pool area it was all worth it. My only negative aspect is that the wifi was very poor, it kept going on and off having to log on all the time. I believe it is something the hotel should really consider looking into.

Fab find in San Antonio Bay!

What a fantastic find. Considering there were minimal reviews about this hotel as it has been recently refurbished, my friends and I were incredibly pleased with our 5 night stay. Lovely atmosphere around the pool, great value food and drink, a DJ playing party and chilled music around the pool everyday, on top of a surprise pool party one day - what more do you need for a girls holiday! I would definitely return to Beach Star with my friends or as a couple.

The hotel was on the water and near the water taxi

I wasn't at the hotel much because of scuba diving trips, but my travel companion raved about amenties available at the hotel. The Dj at the pool daily was very good. The front desk, bar, and kitchen staff was very helpful with information about getting around the island.

The perfect place!

Fantastic place, everything feels like it's brand new. Went with my girlfriend mid June and felt like we had the place to ourselves, lots of outdoor space and sun beds/loungers. Staff very nice and friendly, and can make a great strawberry daiquiri! Not a great deal around the hotel, with the exception of yog good (self service frozen yogurt place, very nice) but the food at hotel was so nice we didn't want to try anywhere else! Easy 300 yard walk along the beach to the water taxi that for €3 takes you to San Antonio harbour on the other side where there is a bit more going on. Hotel room very well designed and cleaners made it feel brand new every day! Overall just the perfect place to go, would also recommend the yoga, challenging but so relaxing! Can't speak highly enough of the hotel and staff!

This hotel is strange!

I stayed towards the end of the season and although there was hardly anyone there they played loud house music all day. Would be ok if peeps were raving but no one was and the dj played on oblivious. Staff were not overly friendly. Food was not edible.

Modern, young and clean hotel

Hotel was really clean and tidy and nice and modern.
Location in terms of being by the little beach is spot on. The pool area was lovely, I spent everyday there and didn't bother with the beach. there was a DJ everyday by the pool but it wasn't a rowdy party scene or anything.
The only downside to my stay was My room was right by the staircase on the first floor so when people were coming in/going out all you could hear were heals and flip flops thumping up and down.
One more annoying thing, not with this hotel but my room was right above the entrance which is opposite the playa bella hotel which has live entertainment every night in the form of the cheesey 90's style entertainment including bingo and bands singing cringeworthy songs. But I suppose most beach star guests would be out elsewhere and hopefully avoiding that.
Other than that I cannot fault the beach star, everything inside the hotel was perfect for me.

Around the hotel there is a strip of shops/bars/restraunts (the usual gift shops/supermarkets and pubs showing football and English soaps and xfactor, which did end up being a bit 'same old' after a couple of nights) one place called relish which is down one of the side streets is really nice for night time dinner.
There is a taxi boat near by that goes back and forward to San Antonio for a change of scenery which only cos a few euros.

Good location and nice hotel

It is located near lots of shops and very close to the ferry to San Antonio which was handy. Rooms were really nice and kept spotlessly clean. Pool area and DJ were a nice touch although one of the DJs always played the same songs every day. But overall a nice place!

Brilliant hotel.

Brilliant comfy and clean .. Rooms were cleaned daily never had any issues with bugs. A boat ride to San Antonio west end was only €3 nice ride cheaper than a cab. Good food prices breakfast was really nice, nice pool plenty of beds and sun loungers.
