The property is a good 3 star, very clean and on the beachfront.
Good location for San Antonio, a 15 minute walk down the promenade gets you to Ocean Beach club.
Local shops around the hotel and restaurants.

Great hotel, close to San Antonio and near to lots of really nice beaches and restaurants also. Breakfast was good also. Lots of buses stop outside the hotel also which made it easy to travel around the island

I had a good experience at Hotel Tagomago The staff are friendly and helpful, The rooms are cleaned daily. They have a decent buffet style breakfast with lots of choices.
It can be loud some nights but by 11.30pm it goes quite.

Beautiful pool area & most of the staff friendly and helpful, however we paid extra for a sea view and didn’t have this (we were given a room on the ground floor in the corner) we had a view of some railings and parked cars, politely asked the manager if we could have a sea view room as paid for, he was very sarcastic, he quickly drew the layout of the hotel and told us we won’t get a seaview from every room as it’s ‘on a bend’ and failed to understand we’d paid for a sea view, refused to put us in another room and laughed at us. The floor of our room always felt greasy, like an ice skating rink, there was an awful smell coming from a stream outside the balcony (smelled like sewage most the holiday), we were only given one towel for the first two days, had to ask for more. We come to ibiza nearly every year and never had an issue elsewhere, this is the only hotel we’ve ever had negative to say about unfortunately

Loved this hotel! Definitely should be higher than a 2 star. Rooms cleaned every day, breakfast choice was amazing, staff are friendly, location is fabulous, right on the beach, will definitely return.

The hotel was a nice hotel and was in a good area which was close to what we needed. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Wanted to charge me when I asked for ice for the room. No glass allowed back to room. We had no remote for air con and told us to figure it out ourselves. Asked for an ironing and said no have to go to laundry in the morning only,which would of been fine if staff did have attitude. And the shower was grim.

Beautifully clean and stylish with modern bathroom and lovely walk in shower ... Staff were very friendly and polite. Breakfast was gorgeous every option available. Location is superb .. quiet for sleep and daytime lounging but immediately near bus stop and bay bars including Kumharus and water taxi to Sant Antoni... great value a fabulous place.

The rooms didnt have a safe or a refrigerator. The staff was very nice. The halls smelled like cigarettes. The breakfast was great. It is next to the bus station. And the scooter rental next door was 35 euros wich I tought was great for 24 hours. I would stay here again if I had to. Its not bad.

This property is very welcoming. The people here are nice. They provide daily room service, pool/beach towels and every room has a balcony. I had the garden/beach view in the front of the hotel and it was amazing!
Breakfast every morning was included in our price. It was fresh and tasty but we didn’t want to eat the same thing for 9 days.

I found our trip to be really great! Not needing to pay for an extra meal every morning was nice and having a lot of vegetarian options made it even better. My only issue is with the dining room arrangement. Certain people are assigned seats while we were not, resulting in our sitting in someone else's assigned seats several times (awkward) and being told to move in the middle of eating so someone else could sit at a table exactly the same as the one we were moved to was bizarre. (90% of the seating is exactly the same). Other than that, the pool was great, Rose at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind, and the rooms with a little seating area was a nice way to unwind from the chaos that is Ibiza.

Water salted. Very bad acoustic isolation very noisy. Fight in the next room all the night no one came from the reception. Very noisy cleaning staff the morning you can't sleep later than 7am. Nice breakfast. Nice pool.

All round great stay! clean and tidy great pool fantastic barman and location is Perfect, it’s has fast access to the beach and only 15 minutes walk to noisy part of the bay.
Hotel manger did complain because apparently we left the room in a mess, if you call messy bed sheets and 10 or 12 empty bottles in bags then they should state that customers get the mop out after before leaving.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. Location is just wonderful, staff who we met (we were only there 3 days) were all friendly and the breakfast was amazing, something for everyone (and more!). I would love to visit this hotel again one day.

2nd year in a row we have stayed here, fantastic location right on the beach in San Antonio Bay. We really liked it last year which is why we stayed here again.
Breakfast had worsened, overcooked and although there's a big selection it's not good.
First impressions of room weren't great, ground floor and a bit grubby throughout, mainly due to it being dated and badly in need of a refurb.
2nd day we were getting ready to head out, room had just been serviced, fresh towels in bathroom and my fiancee lifted her towel up to find a cockroach sat underneath it! Immediately got the manager down who promptly flattened it with his bare hand, apologised to us and said he was getting someone to put some repellant down while we went out for the day. I requested a room change but they said they were full, maybe tomorrow.
Went for breakfast Tuesday and came back to find a guy in the room who was putting repellant down, he said you won't have any more issues.
Came back that night after going out and found another cockroach on its back in the bathroom dying because of the repellant! Night manager couldn't speak English so left a note for the morning after and I immediately said we wanted to move. Manager reluctantly agreed and we finally got to move to a much nicer, modern room on the first floor.
We had a nice rest of our holiday but was tarnished by the experience and we still saw 2 more cockroaches in the hotel corridor while we were there. Won't stay here again!

Hotel was in a great spot , clean and friendly , staff were lovely and polite , beach/s were a minute walk from hotel sea was lovely and warm beach very clean . Downfall of this hotel was that it was advertised as a 'Smoke Free hotel' but there were a lot of smoking going on and ash trays around , it did not bother me but if you book it because of that you will be disappointed . Breakfast was lovely and plenty of variety . We would defo stay there again .

There is no room service,no refrigerator,no tea cattle in room.there is no shower working in bathroom with hot & cold water.was called many time at reception for my shower problem at room no 209 but till my check out me & wife took shower with cold whater only.,,highly disappointed from service

I stayed in the Tagamogo Hotel with my friend (spring chickens at the ripe age of 30 & 38 lol!) we loved our stay. The hotel looks refurbished and was definitely much nicer than a basic 2 star hotel that we were expecting.
We loved the quietness of the hotel and the greenery around the grounds and pool. The hotel was right next to the beach too, it was great to lie in the hotel grounds and enjoy the pool. We would also walk over for a swim in the sea (literary 1 minute from lounger to sea!) to cool off then back to the loungers in the grounds to relax in the quiet under the palm trees.
This hotel, with the quiet beach and Tapas bar beside it, was a relaxing place in amongst the usual hustle n bustle of this area of Ibiza. Near enough to all of the fun and excitement but also a place to escape from it.

Hotel location was excellent, parking was always easy however things are getting a little tired. Breakfast was odd, plated used soooo much the logo has faded off (Buy some new ones) there was no clear seating as all tables had reserved on them so people end up walking about trying to find places to sit.
Biggest disappointment was the shower, it was a trickle and with no hot water, told reception on day one whilst i used the public shower (Dirty shower!), told them again on day two again whilst using the public shower, then on day three i gave up and just asked for the key to the public shower.....

Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Room excellent spacious and clean with good air con. Nice balcony with lovely views overlooking San Antonio Bay and San Antonio.
Free beach towels for beach direct access through hotel grounds.
Free loungers around pool and terrace area. Great choice at breakfast, near cafes and restaurants for meals if you don't want full board. Good pool bar menu includes ice cream, snacks and beers, wines, spirits and a good choice of cocktails reasonably priced. Would recommend!

Went to Ibiza for a week , the hotel had good reviews and I wasn't disappointed
Staff were excellent, breakfast buffet was good, rooms spacious and very clean , pool was good , no trouble at the hotel I don't think it attracts the clubbers being so far away from the strip however I did overhear someone talking about some noise in the night but that's to be expected it is San Antonio
The location is lovely right on the beach but it is a good walk to the strip west end and 50 mins to cafe mambos - would recommend the steak restaurant across the road casita the fish restaurant further down the road Es pescatre and the Mexican in front of the hotel
would recommend this hotel to anyone very pleased it is a little dated but you get far more than u pay for well I did anyway

Underwear Stolen From Hotel Room - Beware!

This hotel the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!! I was dismayed when I realized that all of my underwear’s were stolen from our room on second day. I have been travelling all over the world I have been to poorer countries and never have I had an item stolen from my room.
You pay good money and the room is horrible, very noise. Scandalous staff and the manager is the worst I ever seen anywhere in the world the worst manager ever!!! Stay there at your own risk.

Room Cancelled. Moved to different (worse) hotel.

We arrived and was told that Hotels.com/Expedia should have messaged us a month ago telling us that our booking has been cancelled. Was told this was because we had a similar name to somebody else who cancelled... although our name has 5 more letters. We were moved to a 'similar' hotel. Which was the opposite to what we wanted. A lot louder at night, not on the beach and more to the strip. The hotel had 18 sun beds for way over 100 rooms so was never available. Was offered free dinner back at Tagomago which was not the worst although the dining room had cockroaches. Obviously we aren't happy with this. We would not have paid what we did for the new hotel and free dinner didn't make up for that as we like to eat out and experience the island, that's still all what was offered. Staff were rude and repeatedly lied to us. We were told the room was broke and could be fixed tomorrow, then told it's overbooked then the blame was shifted to Hotels.com. Wouldn't book this again obviously as might end up somewhere I never would have wanted to stay.

The nicest place i've stayed in Ibiza.

I've stayed in Ibiza 3 times before at Ibiza Rocks and the hotel next door to Tago Mago.
This was the nicest and cleanliest.
Not everyones rooms were the same but we had lots of space, nice spacious bathroom, very clean and a lovely little patio which looked out to trees creating an isolated forest effect.
It was very lovely :)

very nice hotel with good conditions for a 2* hotel , with AC in the room and every day the lady was cleaning the room and changing the towels which was unexpected for a 2* star hotel , overall nice stay and definitely would recommend if you don't want to pay thousands for you stay in Ibiza then choose this hotel with confidence , they have a nice beach just outside the hotel plus a very nice pool.

Great location, can't fault it

This hotel was booked as a last minute option. All my fears about 2 star accommodation were unnecessary. The hotel has a fantastic location in San Antonio Bay. The beach is literally feet away. Also 24hr shops to buy food & drink etc Staff great, breakfast great. Very clean. Room cleaned & fresh towels daily. Even pool towels provided. Would recommend & will return.

Great hotel for the price!

I have stayed here a few times now as it is conveniently located (on the beach in San Antonio bay away from the town), clean and friendly. Brief summary:

+rooms are large
+well located
+friendly and helpful staff
-some rooms a bit tired
-no safe in room but...
+safes downstairs look much more secure than the standard digital in room ones you get elsewhere
+nice pool
-food a bit hit and miss but fairly nice most nights

I payed for a night here when i arrived to the island,hotel description included air conditioner but when i arrived the front desk told me they turned it off to save money even though i had payed for a room with ac. They refused to turn in on even though it was hot like an o ver. They refused to return my money as well. If you don't like the heat stay away from this oven. There are much better options.

We stayed as a couple for a short break and chose this as were impressed by the reviews. We had a room with a bay view on the ground floor. It was a bit close to the road and was quite noisy early in the morning with traffic and tractor cleaning the beach. Room was basic but very clean and cleaned every day. TV with Sky News. No fridge or tea/coffee facilities, so I guess that may contribute to the two stars. It's the little things that make the difference, but you get what you pay for and we did get a good deal price-wise. Staff helpful, efficient and mostly service with a smile. Pool area quite small and a lot of the sun-loungers are in the shade, but there's a nice little beach across the road where you can pay 4.50 euros for the day for a sunbed. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the drink prices are extremely reasonable, compared to other hotels we've stayed in San Antonio Bay. This hotel is situated about a 20 minute walk to San Antonio, so far enough away from the noise to relax, but close enough if you want to walk to the livelier areas, although there are lots of nice bars and restaurants close to the hotel

Great location

My wife and I had a great time at Tagomago. Two things that are worth mentioning, and perhaps other have pointed to this already, internet connection is available only in the lobby area and that this as you enter; everywhere else it is spotty at best. Twist and turns on the bed cause the bed to begin a concerto.

cheap, you get what you pay for

The bed was two singles pushed together, and very hard. The room wasn't very updated, but the bathroom seemed newly remodeled. The location was close to a strip of bars and restaurants. Staff was ok. There was a small outdoor pool and beach access. But it wasn't a very good beach compared to the rest on the island. The restaurant next door, Sa Flama is a must. Delicious food and fabulous staff. The hotel was very cheap, and you get what you pay for. I would suggest to anyone on a budget looking for a place near the party scene. But I wont be staying there again.

Basic hotel, fairly dated and not very comfortable

Hotel is very close to a nice part of the beach in San Antonio Bay, and the pool, reception area and bar of hotel were very pleasant and well maintained. Unfortunately the room was very basic, beds were particularly uncomfortable and very creaky. Walls very thin so we were constantly disturbed by other guests and the maids cleaning other rooms. The shower was very poor.
The staff in the bar were particularly friendly and pleasant.
Not a disastrous choice but would not stay again.

Close to the beach

NO WIFI in rooms as advertised on hotel site, inconsiderate refurbishment work being done from 9am every morning.
Tractor grooms beach outside hotel which is the equivalent to an 8am alarm call every other morning, female waitress never smiles and very ignorant.
On the positive side, all other staff members were pleasant and the food was excellent.

A Little Gem!!!!

This was my 7th time back to Ibiza but my first stay at the Tagomago. We tried to book the hotel we stayed in last year but that was full so took a chance on this; definitely paid off!!! Situated across a path from the beach you get a lovely breeze through the pool area. As others have stated, the pool area is small but there is a lot of natural shade provided by the trees and it is so easy to nip across and take a dip in the sea if the pool is busy. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and the drinks are really, really cheap. The white coffees are the best I've ever had!!!! The food is limited but opposite is a beach restaurant and a 2 minute walk up the road is another - both sell amazing grilled and BBQ'd fish; they also have great sunsets if walking round to the sunset strip isn't your thing. The rooms are basic but very spacious and are well equipped with ceiling fans and air con. We had a sea facing room and had an amazing view over the sea. Read the information board on the reception area as they offer lots of little extras. Safety deposit boxes are available in the reception area and there is also free WiFi in reception only and a Wii to use. The hotel also provides airport transfers which takes the hassle out of trying to find a taxi. All in all a great stay which was fantastic value for money in a perfect spot.

Bus stop is right there.........2 Euros for easy access to all beaches. Can take bus to Airport for 4 Euros.
Watch out for MEDUSAS in the water. Even if you are swimming a hundred feet away, the substance
they emit can sting your body and make for a very uncomfortable water experience.

As two friends - both 50 year old men, we were looking for somewhere reasonably quiet for a relaxing holiday, yet close to the entertainment in the area should we wish to have some lively nights. This hotel proved perfect for our needs. Right on the beach. Quiet with the exception of the odd reveller returning, yet within a few hundred metres of whatever entertainment took your fancy. A bus stop just 100 metres away can take you to San Antonio within 5 mins for about £1.
The hotel itself feels a family run business and this shows in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Even the cleaners seem very happy in thier work. The building is a little dated in its appearence yet immaculately clean.

Rooms are of various shapes, but all seem roomy with the usual en-suite facilities. Rooms have various size balconies. Our room had a ceiling fan which always kept the room pleasantly cool although the position of our room meant the sun was rarely shining full on to our balcony for many hours of the day. Should you have a room in the full glare of the sun, your room may not be as cool although every room is equiped with wooden shutters on the outside and closing these during the day apparently keeps the sun out and hence the room cool.

Public area's are adequate with a relaxing room containing large TV and internet, a bar and dining room.

The outside area's are not large, but adequate. A small pool including childrens section, plenty of sunbeds and seating. There is plenty of natural shade given by various tree's. This was perfect when wishing to get some relief from the sun and great for those with children wishing to protect them from long periods in the sun. Parents are never out of sight of the children to by the nature of the size of the outside area's, leaving them free to relax themselves.

The bar is well stocked and beer prices are similar to other bars in the area. Typically on a par with british pub prices. It shoud be noted that soft drinks are very expensive though. A pint of draught coke or can of coke approx £2.50. Small bottle of water approx £1.30. A nearby spar supermarket (150 metres) provides much better value.

Food. We opted for the half board option as this seemed good value. This turned out to be an excellent decision. Breakfast consisted of the usual continental meat & cheese - plenty of cerials - always excellent fresh fruit and a great full English option. All buffet style so try and help yourself. Breakfast hours are 8am-10am.

Evening dinner consisted of an excellent salad selection, plenty of sweet and fruit selections plus a hot selection. The hot selection sometimes was fish which was excellent and various meat options which I think is fair to say, was not to most british tastes although I enjoyed it myself. Things like chicken escollopes, which whilst being nicely cooked and tasting ok, didn't actually look or taste of chicken! But this was a minor detail. There are plenty of good hot veg, even brussel sprouts on one occassion. Dinner hours are 8pm - 9.45pm.

There is only one tea/coffee machine in the dining room. It is not the easiest machine to operate and as a result often means waiting to get a drink.

In summary the food is great here. Plenty of quality options to try. I spoke to many guests at the hotel and I never heard one person having any stomach upsets or feeling the need to eat elsewhere. Quite the opposite, most were of the same high opinion as myself.

The guests were mainly a mix of British and Itialians with the odd sprinkling of Spanish and Swedish during my stay. There were a mix of families, couples, small groups and friends like myself. All age groups were present. The hotel served all well. With a family atmosphere there was no rowdy issues at all. Those who were there to take advantage of the clubs, had a great relaxing base and moved off site to party.

Evening entertainment was very low key with some light hearted, but very enjoyable karaoke on most evenings. Bars in the close vacinity offered plenty of varied entertainment suitable for all groups and ages.

Summary.
I had an excellent holiday here in large part to the hotel and staff at the Tagomago. Its a little dated but this adds to its charm and character not often found at the large concrete monolith hotels. The food and service is excellent. Everyone was smiling. Good outside area's with plenty of shade and metre's from the beach. Great Value!

I will certainly visit the hotel again. Many of the guests were on thier 3rd or 4th visit which has to say a lot for the hotel.

The worst hotel experience of my life

Tagomago was the worst hotel experience I have ever had it is truly hot garbage. I have never been one to be picky with hotels especially because I never spend time in the hotel, only to sleep. But this place was atrocious and would not recommend it to anyone. I booked it for 3 days and had to fight with the staff to get my money back for the 3rd day because I refused to stay there and went next door to San Remo which was much better. They made me move rooms twice, every room was tiny, smelly and dirty. If you stay in the 1st floor your view will be a giant wall with no balcony. And the water from the shower and sink tastes like salt water. Horrendous. Please don't stay here.

Tagomago was in a great location- cheap good food, definitely a less expensive part of the island but beauty is still there. Bus stop right across the hotel, scooter rentals every where in the surrounding areas. great tapas right next to the hotel. Customer service isn't great. Overall, I'd stay again for location!

Hotel Tagamago (San Antonio bay, Ibiza)

Stayed in Tagamago hotel for 1 week (17-24 July 2010). Despite being only 2* star hotel, it is certainly well-above this level.

Very clean, towels and other stuff were changed every day. Large room, large WC/bathroom,
large terrace.

No A/C (but, recall - it's 2*), but there is a powerful fan, which does a good job. Anyway, I practically didn't use the fan, as the room was not really hot.

Very good location - the hotel is DIRECTLY on the beach (ok, 5 meters from the hotel fence to the sand). The beach is clean and nice.

Swimming pool - quite large and clean, sunbeds - plenty (free).

Many local shops and restaurants around - no problems to get food at any time.

The hotel is a pleasant 30 minutes walk from the city centre (San Antonio) along the sea. Sounds as a long walk? No!, as actually, the pub/restaurant-street starts in 10 minutes walk, so I would better say it's a 10 minutes walk from the hotel to the town.

There is also a bus stop just in front of the hotel,
it's only 5-7 minutes bus ride to the town.

All in all: my very best experience, I would highly recommend this hotel to everybody (including families with small kids.. there were a few such families when I was there).

Good value for money

It was my first visit to Ibiza. This hotel is well situated and close to everything. The staff is friendly. Located 5m from the beach is very convenient. The rooms are cleaned everyday. If I go to Ibiza again I will stay here again. Maybe this time I would go for sea front view room. I recommend this hotel to any party goes.

The Hotel was basic but very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a 20 minutes walk from the heart of Saint Antonio party area but there is a ferry close by to take you there very cheaply( 2.50€).

I just come back from my trip and I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel and in Ibiza. The staff is really nice and helpfull, the cleaner came every day to tidy-up, make beds and change towels. Drink are not inclusive but however cheap; good choice in the buffet... what else... lovely location, 10 minutes from San Antonio centre, 1 minute walk to bus stop, pubs, restaurants, place to rent a car or scooter etc... The hotel is rated 2 stars but I would give 3 (maybe because there is not air con. and not a fridge?). There is a fan which does the job and anyway I have seen fans in most of the hotels. If I will go back to Ibiza I will definetly stay here again

Bel hôtel face à la mer et bon service !
En revanche c’est bruyant, jour comme nuit (mais ça c est Ibiza ! ), des clients qui reviennent de boîte peu respectueux des autres qui dorment, un chien qui aboit et le pire… une affreuse odeur de caoutchouc brulé en pleine nuit qui nous a empêché de dormir la fenêtre ouverte :-/

Lo mejor del hotel el personal. Por las noches la gente que va y viene de madrugada se escucha mucho, es entendible en Ibiza pero por eso deberían estar más insonorizadas las habitaciones. Por otro lado, al menos en nuestra habitación, olían fatal los sumideros y era un olor constante. El desayuno buenísimo y la zona de la piscina muy buena y tranquila.

Kamer aan zeezijde was goed maar niet zo groot. Wij zaten eerst in een donkere kamer aan de achterzijde (gevolg van een goedkope boeking via Expedia aldus de eigenaar...) en kregen tegen bijbetaling een kamer met zeezicht een dag na aankomst (omdat die vrij kwam).
Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Het hotel op zich, zwembad en eetzaal zag er netjes en schoon uit.

공항이나 샌안토니오, 칼라콤데 가는 버스 정류장이 호텔 바로 옆에있습니다.
주변 호텔 가격 대비 괜찮으나 가격을 생각하지 않았을때 전체적인 룸 청결도나 컨디션, 조식 등은 별로입니다. 스태프 교대시간 영어로 의사소통이 안되는 리셉션 몇분 있으나 모두 친절했습니다.

Das Hotel war für eine Woche ok. Die Umgebung ist ziemlich ruhig für St. Antoni und das Hotel ist praktisch gelegen. Es hat einen gratis Parkplatz, guten Pool mit genügend liegen und eine Bar.

Das Hotel ist jedoch eher mässig und viel zu teuer dafür was es bietet. Kein Safe im Zimmer, sehr teuer, sehr hellhörig (ohne Ohrstöpsel kriegt man schwierig Schlaf), schwaches Frühstück. Naja alles in allem war es aufgrund des Pools und der Lage ok, jeeoch würde ich nicht wieder kommen.
