We stayed here in September and could not fault it! Great breakfast with a wide selection, clean modern rooms with a lovely balcony. The pool was fantastic, and a 3 minute walk to the beach. The staff here were so friendly and helpful, I will be sure to stay here again when I’m in Ibiza next!

This was a great property with a stunning view if you are facing the beach, and not so bad otherwise. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly at all times. It felt like a family run hotel with a more upscale appearance. The best of both worlds. I would highly recommend.

We have visited this hotel many times, some with our children who liked to go clubbing. We have returned alone to the hotel as it is positioned perfectly for us. You can easily walk to the town or to the bay(although parts of the bay are derelict)
Staff are friendly and helpful.
The hotel is kept clean and tidy all the time.
We noticed this time that some of the stair carpets are a bit worn now and do stand out.
This trip is as always home from home. However, some of the younger clientele forget that they are staying in a hotel and when a little worse for wear makes lots of noise at ridiculous times of the night/ morning. This would not bother us except we were getting up for an early flight home but were disturbed for a couple of hours well before we needed to be up!!!
This is was not great.

There was no bath robe or slippers in the room, no iron, had to pay €20 for deposit, there was only 1 socket on 1 side of the bed to charge your phone for 2 people sharing a room, jaccuzzi wasnt hot, was just luke wsrm, steam room wasnt working, massage bed wasnt working either. One of the staff said everything is working in the spa area but it wasnt.

The hotel is of a very high standard and good value for money. The staff, especially the Restaurant Manager, are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. You couldn’t want for more. The food is delicious. Such a wide variety of choice for breakfast and dinner. This was our second time staying here and we would definitely come back again.

Wonderful stay, cant wait to go back!

Fabulous stay at Bellamar. Was here for a quick 2-day girls trip and everything was great. Super clean, comfortable beds, great pool and plenty of sun loungers also a decent gym and spa facilities (although didn't use). The hotel decor is a little dated but honestly didn't both me as it was so clean and best of all QUIET! Really friendly staff especially at reception. Great location, supermarket at the back of the hotel and a lovely little beach where you can watch the famous sunset in peace with no ravers. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again. Also great choice at breakfast!

A quiet oasis

A quiet little oasis at the end of the strip. Spotlessly clean with some of the best staff I have come across in 35 years of business travel. Some 5 star big name hotels I have stayed in could learn a lesson in customer relations from these people. Food, although buffet service was excellent with a wide choice to suit every palette . The pool area was very smart with good furniture and shades. The gym was very basic and could be improved upon. However it was overall a great place to stay with the bonus of secure under cover parking.

Close to fun but tranquil place to relax

So gorgeous to arrive to a clean suite with jacuzzi bath, chilled bubbly and a huge basket of fruit. Perfect for me and my two daughters. We all had massages in the spa which were superb. It took away my pent up stress and my shoulders can move again. Thank you so much Hotel Bellamar I feel human again! X

Had the best 5 night break at the Bellamar. The food was amazing especially dinner with a great choice of meats. Hard to refrain from going up multiple times. Breakfast was always great too with someone to personally cook your eggs as you require.
Location great and set one street back from behind the main walk strip where the bars and restaurants are. Even tho so close it was quiet so relaxing at the pool was not a problem. We walked right round the bay every morning after breakfast and after dinner. Was lovely and relaxing. Never went on them but the beaches look lovely and clean. Gym okay but needs additional equipment other than mainly cardio.The staff are very friendly and our room was cleaned everyday. They even let us get something from the snack bar for free upon arrival as we were too late for dinner! Will def be going back for our next short break.

Stayed for the weekend and will definitely be going back, the outside area and pool are amazing, staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are more traditional but very clean. We were very surprised at the amount of choice for breakfast which also included cava if you fancied it. Excellent value for money.

Expected much more

We expected so much more given the price we paid. On the positive side, the location is great and the pool area lovely and there was never an issue in getting sunloungers. Our room was clean and fairly modern but pretty average when compared with other hotels we have stayed at in Ibiza. The reception and indoor bar area is dated and in need of a re-furb. There was generally a good selection of breakfast items but at times the hot food appeared a little scrappy. On a number of mornings the majority of the tables had not been not cleared of dirty plates and we struggled to find a clean table to sit at for breakfast. We requested to move rooms and were told that we could move to a higher floor better view room on the second morning. Despite the reception area filled with guests checking out on the second morning we were informed that there were no higher/better rooms and that the hotel was now full. This was frustrating and I just wish they had been honest from the start rather than tell us we were moving to then disappoint us.

Nice hotel, close to the beach or city center. But line 9 stops 2 minuets away from the hotel which take you to the airport. That’s very convenient. You pay only 4 euro each way instead of 35 for taxi.
Staff is extremely helpful.
Only minuse is the pillows. I think they need to have a better quality ones.
Other than that this hotel is perfect especially if you have a sea view room. The scenery is gorgeous

Nice little hotel in a perfect location

This hotel is great - quiet, very well maintained. Our room was nicely furnished, sizeable by European standards with a nice size balcony. Free breakfast was superb. In all our travels across North America and Europe Bellamar’s breakfast was by far the best in quality and selection. Same goes for the dinner buffet, which at €15/person is a real bargain, given the offerings. Highly recommend and will definitely book it again.

If you want a very basic room then this is probably not the worst place you will stay in but beware of hotel and cleaning staff bothering you an hour before you have to check out!!
At 11 I got a call from reception to tell me what I already knew about the check out time, 10 minutes later an extremely rude cleaning lady looking at her watch and sighing (plainly she wanted to leave early and all these customers that pay for her to have a job aren’t very important) then 30 minutes later (20 minutes before I was due to check out) a man knocking on my door constantly to see what time I was leaving while I was in the shower!!! Absolutely disgusted! I stayed here two years ago and must have checked out waaaaaay before noon as I never got any of this harassment but I won’t make that mistake again! Avoid!!!

Fantastic hotel 😁😁😁

My daughter and I stayed at the Bellamar from 9th-16th Sept after a last minute booking.
The hotel is in a great position. Over the road from the beach, one minute from local supermarket and bus stops. It's a short distance away from the busy clubs of San Antonio - so close enough to walk to them but far away not to be disturbed by the noise and hustle and bustle of the nightlife if you want a quiet place. The hotel has a mixture of people from early 20's through to people of a mature age. Think it's fair to say the week we stayed the majority of people were middle aged.
The staff at the hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.
The food is very good (we were on a breakfast and evening meal rate) and the choice is extensive.
The rooms are very comfortable and kept wonderfully clean by the cleaning team every day.
The pool area is kept imaculate and there were always plenty of sunbeds. Pool was freezing but that's nothing new! We paid for a massage treatment in the spa and this was great. Not cheap but worth the money for a holiday treat. The spa facilities themselves were not anything special and there are only 2 seats to sit and chill.
Drinks are not cheap. We bought soft drinks from the supermarket and used the small fridge in our room for us to have during the day.
Overall we had a fab holiday and would definitely choose this hotel if we were returning to Ibiza. Deserves its star rating.

Amazed this hotel gets such good reviews

Perhaps this is a good hotel for the area, but there are some serious deficiencies with it. I can't understand how it is rated as it is, nor how it gets good reviews. The air conditioning does not work. I was offered another room and it similarly was poor. It had to be left on all day to be slightly cool in the evening and even then the room could not be considered to be cold. Furthermore, the WiFi did not work, being slow and with a weak signal. The system was restarted twice but this did not work with the WiFi frequently dropping off. Bed uncomfortable. Other guests very noisy into early hours of the morning. Bathroom had no hair conditioner, no tissues. No waste bin in room. No stationary.

Very good hotel

First impression was that the hotel was spotlessly clean and focused on providing the best possible guest experience. The staff were superb and always welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable the air conditioning was quiet and the bathroom lovely. Considering how close you are to the bars and clubs the hotel and rooms are very quiet. Meals that we had in the hotel were fresh and well prepared with a good variety. Drinks in the bar we felt were expensive but in line with prices in San Antonio.

The hotel was in an idea location for beach, town , nightlife and getting around generally. Not right in centre but just 10 mins walk along the beach. The hotel was small and fairly quiet with good basic facilities. We had a superior room which was a prefect size for 2 sharing just a shame no twins beds. Rooms were very clean and staff were helpful, Breakfast and snacks good. Never had dinner there because good local restaurant on beach. Only complaint would be ac could have been more powerful.

The Hotel was easy to get too about 25 min's from the airport, free private car park which is great. Staff were awesome and very helpful. Bar prices were normal, direct access to the beach, shops and restaurants from the pool area. Great to buy some water , snacks and chill by the pool.
Quite area you can get to the main town via the sea front walk , which is outside the hotel and takes about 15 / 20 min gentle walk.

If you take this route you will pass some great bars and venues, OCEAN, Surf bar serves up awesome food and the surf machine is a must ( you may get a few bumps in the process).

Amazing staff, right at the beach, tasty breakfast

What makes this hotel stand out is the amazing front desk staff. We had arrived in Ibiza to find that our original hotel reservation booked weeks in advance with hotel.ca fell through (electrical problem no room for us). Long story short we ended up at the front desk of the Bellamar hotel and lovely Suzanne was the who helped us get a room. After hearing what a terrible day we had the manager upgraded us to a sea view with balcony room. Which was lovely since the hotel was located right in front of the beach.

The hotel has a free designated parking lot and also street parking in front of the hotel (we were here in October low season lots of parking). Our package included a good variety breakfast (cappuccino/ expresso, fresh squeezed orange juice, and made to order omelettes). The front desk was very knowledgeable about things to do/ tourist attractions/ suggestions for us and even mapped out the routes.

The rooms were tidy, comfortable size, non smoking (and unlike some older hotels, no lingering cigarette stench). Even though the hotel is older, I do agree with the previous reviews older but did not show signs of neglect. The only thing we noticed was the second night there was bathroom smell that I have found common with moist/ humid climates.

The general clients that stayed at the hotel were older adults, not the crazy party goers we had anticipated. Perhaps due to the fact it was October (closing season) and I heard this is the less sloppy side of town.

Stayed here for three nights. Overall The staff was very friendly and helpful with arranging the daily excursions/activities. Breakfast was a nice inclusion. However the air conditioning was not working the entire stay and even after notifying the staff there was no improvement. If you're staying here during the hot summer months make sure you're OK without air-conditioning.

The Bellamar was a well maintained beach side facility. It had all the charm of a European feel that you would come to enjoy. The hotel is dated but very well kept. No sign of neglect. The buffet has a wide variety of choices to meet everyones palate.

A relaxing base to a fun filled white isle holiday

For my first sun holiday in more years than i care to mention, a group of friends spent some quiet days by the pool with some big club nights.
The hotel was exactly what was needed, the staff were fantastic, from start to finish, the food was brilliant, i was B and B but had one night in the restaurant, more than you can eat.
The room was very clean and pleasant, cleaned well every day if needed, a balcony with a chair and table.
The pool and area around very relaxing

Ideal one week break - quick airport transfers, Hotel was spotless, staff always extremely polite and helpful.
Terrific location - a stroll into the night life (if you want it). Don't know whether limited evening entertainment gets better during high season.
Food was extremely good with a wide variety - breakfast slightly better than dinner, but always something to tempt you.
Only drawback was that twin beds could not be linked together, so we kept falling down the gap!
Good bars in the vicinity for lunch as the hotel is only half board.

Clean hotel very close to the beach & San Antonio

We stayed here for 5 days in July. Rooms were clean daily and the bed was very comfortable. We chose half board and were glad we did. Food was tasty although the variety wasn't too great but the food quality was very good. They change the main course daily. Great deserts as well. Only things that I didn't like was being charged for water during dinner.

Pool area is great too and there are plenty of sun loungers. There is small supermarket next to it which was quite handy and all the major San Antonio clubs are at 15-20 mins walking distance along the promenade.

A few bad points but OK on the whole.

Nice hotel on the whole. Wifi only worked in toilet. Cleaners knocked 2 or 3 times in the morning plus I think I was near the washing room and the noise was bad for a few hours a day. The pool area was nice and the other guests were fine. Lovely beach near by but not many decent restaurants to choose from. I prob wouldn't stay again but it was ok.

The location is good, beachfront, away from bars and clubs where the loud music are. Easy access to go to the center if San Antonio. There are many choices of restaurants outside the hotel. The room is a little old, there is only 1 elevator, it is better to use the stairs up and down. Has great pool with bar. The staff are nice and knowledgeable.

I am an American who likes to stays in very many hotels due to the nature to state my perspective up front.

Pros:
-Close to the beach- like right outside close
-Has a restaurant albeit is buffet style
-There is a market right outside of the hotel
-There are tons of restaurants in the area.
-15 minute walk from Center of San Antonia and 25 minute walk from Sunset Strip
-There is a nice pool with a bar right near it

Cons:
-Wifi is incredibly slow
-Hotel key keeps room cool and charges device... If you are not in your room with the key your room will be hot and your phone will remain dead.

Not happy

Check-in didn't go so well I felt the frnt desk was rude, and their policy of a printed hotel confirmation was out-dated and silly. The legs on our bed were bent so if you sat on the end of it it flipped, normally I would have just called and asked for another room, but after my original interaction with the front desk I didn't want to even ask. I was able to partially bend it back so it was at least usable. I wouldn't stay here again.

Picturesque location

Good location though it's a 15 min walk to the centre of San Ant and 30 mins to Cafe Mambo/Del Mar. Reception staff were absolutely hopeless and very slow. We're not friendly at all. Though cleaners and hospitality staff were great. Wifi did not work on our 3rd floor room and very slow and unreliable in the reception area. Well worth the extra to pay for a room with beach view. Amazing scenery and sunset

Great and accessible hotel

By far one of the best hotels in the main part of Ibiza. Rooms were spacious and clean, facilities were great and the pool/bar area was awesome. Definetely worth the stay.

Great Hotel

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Bellamar Hotel in San Antonio, Hotel in a good location, paid extra for a sea view which was well worth it, room very clean and spacious, good size balcony, kettle, mugs in room, Stayed B&B option and breakfast was excellent plenty of variety, you have to pay for the use of the safe in your room not a problem but i have never had to pay for a safe in previous hotels! The pool area is very clean and many sunbeds, never heard any noise during the night even though it is in a very busy area, overall the hotel was great and i would recommend it to other travellers.

Front desk staff are not very pleasant. Towels for the pool/beach available at front desk with deposit. Breakfast is ok - not quite 4 star by North American standard.

Well appointed hotel in a quiet location

Overall, very satisfactory. Minor disappointment was \"welcome pack\" was not refreshed (milk, coffee etc) daily and neither the cleaning staff nor Reception were sure how to obtain fresh supplies. Similarly, although the rooms were generally cleaned to a satisfactory standard, the Welcome tray including used cups seemed to be ignored.

You just can't beat the location

We stayed at the hotel three last nights of our vacation. Could not have made better decision. Most amazing is the location. Minimarket is just downstairs. Sandy beach with sandy bottom (not common sight at all in Ibiza) is 50m from the front door. Promenade starts 30m from the front door, at the same place where airport bus stops. Lot of dining places, watersports, waverider etc. Less than 30min walk to Cafe del Mar and Mambo. Even taxi from Amnesia is only about 20€. And still it is peaceful and has pleasant view from balcony even when you do not have seaview. Double room is spacious and has huge balcony. There were some minor issues in the room but these were promptly fixed by the staff. Breakfast buffet is above average and the ambiance is good.Gym is small but looks reasonably fresh and definitely functional - fitness enthusiast should take a morning run to sunset strip and back though, very nice experience. For me this is one of the best finds in Ibiza ever, would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend

This hotel overlooks the sea and is about 10/15 min walk to the egg in the centre of San Antonio. Breakfast was of good quality and the pool area was clean and there were always enough loungers which were the best quality loungers I have seen. I was staying there alone and walked back from San Antonio around midnight and it was still safe enough to do so. There is a supermarket next door so you can stock up on water/drinks/snacks for your room. I have stayed in a few hotels in Ibiza and I would def stay here again.

Fantastic hotel

Excellent hotel just far enough away from the busy San Antonio but close enough for a fantastic night out. The Hotel has excellent facilities and the staff are amazing, all extremely willing to help and spoke very good English. Rooms, hotel and pool spotless all the time. I would definitely go back. Try and pay that little extra for a sea view, the views are amazing but most of all the sunset WOW! A glass of wine on the balcony watching the sun go down........ say no more.

Excellent stay at Bellamar!

We have just returned from 5 nights at the Bellamar and absolutely loved it. What a fantastic hotel; perfect location for us, near enough to the action in San Antonio to walk in 20 mins to half an hour, but far enough away to get a good night's sleep and have peace and quiet at the beach. The hotel staff cannot be faulted, they are all absolutely lovely, very polite, friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy. The rooms were super clean and comfy and the food was really good. Lots of options at both breakfast and dinner and all fresh and really tasty. We didn't use the pool area as the hotel is so close to a really nice beach but it looked very well maintained and had plenty of available loungers when we walked through each day. We will definitely be returning to the Bellamar :)

A very nice hotel with mainly older residents,

the breakfast is very good with no waiting time to be seated, plenty of tables
the hotel is perfect situated near beach and promenade to restaurants
perfect secure parking and it`s free!!!

Fantastic hotel in great location.

I would highly recommend this hotel. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the rooms spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable and the breakfast plentiful and of a good standard. The hotel is located in a quieter part of the bay but is within walking distance of the more lively spots. It has a nice pool area and is just over the road from the beach. I will definitely be using this hotel if I visit San Antonio again - which I intend to do.
